Cara lay on the bed for a moment, eyes closed, trying to relax. A few minutes later, she opened them again, turning only to see the small ball shaped object. She was a bit confused at this, wondering if it was Nex's or part of the room... or anything else. She really didn't think she would be surprised to find out what it was or where it had come from. It was probably something normal. "Nex? What's that thing behind you?"

Nex was shocked at the idea of something being behind him without him noticing. Nobody ever did that! He always knew where things were. He turned around, seeing the moving object across the bed, he recognized the shape quickly.
With his metallic palm he slammed it downward on the ball, the ball shouted in a half-metallic voice, it was familiar quickly. Ono. Ono shouted and squirmed underneath the covers, "What the hell are you doing here Ono!?" he shouted toward the metal ball. Nex removed the covers so the ball could defend himself vocally, his arms squirmed as he attempted to find an escape out of Nex's grip, it was rather tight. "Uh! Its always boring when you leave Master Nex! I just wanted to see what you did on your journeys out!" Nex groaned, "You don't need to see anything.... Its very dangerous... You should have stayed home." He looked angry as he spoke. "I don't care! I am coming!" Nex sighed with the response and let Ono loose, "Fine.... but don't get into the firefights.... Alright..." Ono cheered shortly after and began to float around the room quickly, as though it was his version of a celebration. |
Cara couldn't help but giggle. She watched Ono float around the room, smiling. She had been a little surprised, but not very. The robot, that she was now very fond of, seemed very attached to Nex. She thought it was rather cute... almost childlike. A word he had said, 'firefights' confused her... but she just shook her head. She could always ask later. Again, Cara made an attempt to rest, laying back on the bed again, smiling at the comfortable feel of the mattress.

Ono only took a few more seconds in floating around before calming down entirely and resting at the edge of the bed. Nex sat on his side of the bed, not laying down, his mind heavy with the thoughts of what was to happen. Ono seemed to sleep himself, despite being a full robot, the lights where its eyes were dimmed, and whatever light that escaped him did the same. He seemed tranquil, peaceful, and not having a care in the world.
Nex seemed to be the exact opposite of this, even with his human parts, he seemed to never sleep and always be on edge. Nex had his eyes to the wall, they were unmoving at the moment, just focused on the uninteresting surface of the grey wall. His hands were rested at his sides, although even they seemed to be on edge, gripping the sheets of the mattress tightly. "Sleep well Cara..." was all he said to let her know he was there. |
Cara's eyes fluttered open again, and she saw Nex gripping the mattress. She let out a soft sigh, sitting up to get a better look. He seemed to be pretty on the edge, and with everything that was going on, it didn't surprise her much. However, it bugged her. Cara wanted him to be able to relax for once. She ran a hand through her hair, thinking for a moment before crawling up behind Nex. Kneeling behind him, she gently wrapped her arms around his shoulders, leaning over one of them. "Nex, why are you so up tight?"

Nex felt her arms wrap around him, he had expected this, he was not against it at all, however.... His mind was on many things right now, he did not do much to react at the moment other than lift one of his arms up and place a hand on her arm. "Why?" He repeated the root of the question, knowing well that the two of them both knew the answer.
"I'm worried, worried for you, worried for Ono, worried for Wolff, worried for everyone...." he sighed and looked down, "I'm beginning to think that going back for something like my ship... With the risk that human life might be lost.... I.... My ship... Its not worth this... Perhaps we should simply destroy all the locations of the space pirates and end Pyrus with some high powered weapons... That way we wouldn't have to risk losing anybody in an extraction..." he was obviously disapointed that he was thinking this, but he was also obviously serious in the way he talked. |
Cara let out a soft sigh, gently leaning he r head against his shoulder. She had known he would answer with something like that... but now was not the time to change his mind about his. "Nex.. You said yourself, and I know fully well that your ship is precious to you. It may not be worth a human life, that it up to you, but.. we've already been through trouble for that ship.. Wolfe and everyone on this ship has.. As for Pyrus... well, karma happens. You can't back out now.. " She ran her hands down along his chest, then his back, seeing that, just like his attitude, his muscles were up tight and probably knotted. Cara gently ran her hands along his back once more, before leaning in a little and starting to work the knots out, massaging the muscles in his shoulders, neck, and back. However, it was rather hard with the fabric in the way.

Nex sighed and relaxed under her grip, he felt comforted by her presence. "I suppose your right.... But.... Still.... I hope nobody is lost.... I couldn't live with myself if that ever happened... and If it happened to you.... I couldn't live...." he admitted, feeling her begin to massage his tense muscles, just as tense as his thoughts.
He relaxed, lifting up his human arm and putting it so it was up to her hair, he pulled her head down so she was level with his head, just to the left of it. He tilted his head toward her and placed his lips against hers lovingly and passionately. It only lasted a few seconds, so as to let her speak... All he wanted was her right now.... And nothing else in the world seemed to matter at this moment.... He waited for her response. |
Cara nodded as he spoke, agreeing with his words. She would be upset if anyone died, especially Nex. She would do the same... she couldn't live without him. She allowed herself to smile a little as he pulled her in for a kiss, eagerly greeting it lovingly, but keeping it short. When they did pull away, she kept close to Nex. "I would feel terrible if any lives on this ship were lost... I.. I couldn't live if that were to happen to you, either." she said softly. Cara stayed still for a moment before resuming the massage she had been performing on his back. She slipped her hands beneath the troublesome fabric covering his back to better work on the muscles.

Nex sighed softly as she continued to massage him, playing with the fabric of his shirt with his free hand, he only said a few more words, he thought it was all that needed to be said. "Lets just.... Do our best to protect everyone.... and each other...." It was all he said before he finally felt compelled to remove his shirt and expose his upper body to allow her more access to him. He needed this, it was though that every time she touched his skin that he felt himself more relaxed, shivering as she touched the scars upon his body and sensative areas. One in particular was his abdomen, he smiled a bit and held back a laugh, he didn't want to expose himself as ticklish.

Cara nodded in agreement, although she was sure he couldn't see it. She smiled a bit as he removed his shirt, being the second time he'd exposed his upper body in her presence. Cara continued massaging his back, now taking advantage of the fact that the fabric was gone and advancing to his neck and shoulders as well. She made sure to be gently on his scars, but something interested her. The different reaction she had gotten from his abdomen. Raising an eyebrow, she gently ran her fingers along it, brushing her nails ever so gently along his skin there.

Nex allowed her full access to his body, feeling her massage his shoulders and neck now that he was exposed. But he felt a strange sensation again, feeling her fingertips on his abdomen. He squirmed a bit under her touch, and finally he was unable to hold it back. Nex released a bit of a snort in his attempt to hold back his laughter, he then laughed a bit shortly after, but it was quiet. "that tickles...." Nex said quietly through his teeth. "It seemed you found it..." Nex laughed a bit shortly after, wondering what she was planning next.

Cara smiled, knowing exactly what the squirm meant. She couldn't help but giggle. "Ah, so the almighty Nex had a ticklish spot.." she said playfully, her fingers dancing along his abdomen's skin again, tickling it. Soon after though, she went back to his muscles, working out the tense ones, smoothing out the knots. Slipping her hands over his shoulders to his front, she started massaging his arms, chest, then simply trailed her fingers across his stomach.

"Almighty?" he laughed a bit, "I think you've seen my soft side...." he said with a quiet laugh, followed by another quiet laugh from her tickling his abdomen again. It didn't seem to last long as he felt her running her hands across his body. He relaxed underneath her touch and smiled warmly, sighing and shivering as she touched various areas on his bare upper body. Allowing her to find his sensitive spots, the lower sides of his body, his neck, his abdomen... All which caused him to sigh as she touched them. He turned around, finally allowing them to look face to face. His arms slid around to her back, rubbing that area as he pressed his lips to hers for a moment. "I love you so much Cara......" He said quietly in her ear.

Cara laughed a little, but softly. She had seen his soft side, but with the front he put up against others, he sure as hell seemed almighty to her eyes. Cara smiled, seeing Nex's face again. That mere sight made her insides melt, the feeling of his hands on her back intensifying that feeling. Her own arms found themselves loosely wrapped around his neck, one hand in his hair. She gently returned the kiss, smiling at his words. "I love you too, Nex.. I love you too.." she said softly, gently resting her forehead against his.

It was a great deal of love that Nex had for Cara, a love that could never be replaced by any other woman. And as the two held each other Ono watched quietly in the corner, as if the little robot was taking notes as to what love really was. Ono seemed focused, intent on finding out exactly what pushed humans to do these things. There was no logical reason for it, none that Ono could find. But Ono was special, there was another reason for this that was in the robot's mind for this, he just could not find it himself. He was like a child in so many ways, he never ran out of questions.
Nex was not focused on Ono, however he did know that the robot was watching. His eyes would not leave Cara's as their foreheads touched one another. He lovingly looked into her eyes, nuzzling her face every once and a while and starting a light cuddling session between the two of them. Small kisses here and there as his hands began running across the entirety of her back. Until eventually Nex's playful side came out and he pulled her down to fall onto the bed, being sure that she did not hit her head against the wall or other hard surfaces near the two of them. This action caused Ono to jump, as another question that could not seem to be held down came to his mind. Ono floated in the direction of the two, Nex still had his arms around her as the two laid face to face. "Uhmmm.... Why did you do that!? You could have been hurt!" he seemed worried, but oblivious to the entire situation. Nex opened his mouth, but closed it again, he did not have much of an explaination for that. But finally a thought came to his head, it was a simple answer, "I guess... I was just having fun." Ono's questioning nature continued to poke at the two of them, "But why would you have fun at the risk of well being!?" Nex had no answer for this, he looked to Cara for help. |
Cara smiled, eyes still locked on Nex's. She felt almost lost in his gaze, his arms.. everything else seemed to melt away to her. She was conscious that Ono was still in the room, but didn't care to notice that he was watching the two of them. Cara smiled, giggling a little when he nuzzled her face, overall enjoying the closeness, the cuddling. She didn't think much of Nex's playful gesture, though she smiled when he did it. It was nice to see his playful side.
She stayed quiet as Nex explained why he had done that to the surprised, and seemingly alarmed Ono. He did seem rather childish to her. If he were human, or even half, Cara might have mistaken him for Nex's son. That was an interesting thought. She had been listening to teh conversation, but when Nex looked for her to help answer the question, she wasn't sure what to say. Smiling, she rubbed her head a little. "Well.. sometimes risking one's well being is necessary to have fun.. and most people would rather take that risk than miss out." |
Ono kept his eyes on the two until finally he had gotten a response. "Hmmm... well... That doesn't make sense.... But this is boring. I'm going to wander the ship." Ono said one final time before his form floated out the door quickly in the darkness.
This left Nex and Cara alone, something that Nex had been seeking since the distance between the two of them in her training. But he knew that was required, Yu could not afford any distractions in his training. Thus was his way. Nex continued his love to her now that the two were laying down, his head rested near her neck. He gave the area a few kisses, nibbling it every once and a while. He then lifted his head up and kissed her upon the chin, kissing all the way up until the two were face to face. He nuzzled her face yet again and gave her a quick and loving kiss, his eyes never leaving hers at that moment. |
Cara smiled a little at Ono's reaction. Of course. Any child, or, in this case anyone childish, would get bored of watching them. However, she was fairly entertained. She hadn't got much alone time with Nex in a while, and at the moment, she thought that idea sounded fantastic. Cara smiled as he lay kisses on her neck, giggling a little, and gently rubbing his back. She enjoyed the feeling of his lips on her skin, smiling as he nuzzled her face, and gently but eagerly kissing him back. Her lips trailed kisses down to his chin, then up along his jaw, ending at his ear. She gave it a soft kiss, then gently nibbled on his earlobe. This was when she felt her playful side kick in a little. She gently flipped the two of them over, Nx now flat on the bed, her leaning over him. Cara had made sure that they wouldn't roll off or that Nex would hit his head, but she managed to bump her head in the process. she rubbed it for a second before returning to his lips.

Nex now knew that that the two would not be disturbed as the door leading to the outside closed by itself, it was automated, so it easily closed itself whenever there was no human life close to it. Nex's mind did not leave this area, the world vanished around them. It was only him, her, and the sheets and bed below them. Nex sighed out of happiness as she trailed kisses along his skin. Nex shivered gently as she nibbled on his ear, it was a sensitive area on him, as was seen by his reaction to it.
The actions seemed to change from her as he was now on the bottom, this causing Nex to laugh as he found her playful side forth. He already liked her playful side as she leaned over to him and continued with the loving between them. He noted that she bumped her head, so he reached up and gently began to rub that area as the two kissed. Nex's other hand was busy at her lower back, sliding downward until he was able to reach the sheets and yank on them until the sheets were entangled around the two of them. He felt a warmth between the two and pulled her until the two were face to face. He gave her a quick kiss, and then moved downward to her neck. He placed his lips upon the center of her neck and began to kiss and lick that area of her neck, thinking to leave a little gift there so she would remember always what happened this night. |
Cara smiled a little into the kiss, slightly embarrassed that he noticed she had bumped her head. Ono had been right about getting hurt, but a light bump on the head was nothing. Her thoughts only lingered on that for a few moments, she soon forgot about everything except her and Nex. She hadn't been paying much attention to his hands, more to his lips, and was a little surprised that they were suddenly covered by the sheets, warmth now between the two of them. She smiled at the feeling of Nex's lips on her neck, her eye lids fluttering shut momentarily, enjoying the feeling.

Nex enjoyed the warmness between the two of them, focusing on one thing right now, Cara. He kept busy on her neck, knowing she was enjoying this, he had no plans to stop anytime soon. Nex put more effort into it, running his tongue across her skin once and then putting his lips around the same area he was kissing before. He nibbled upon that area and then began to suck on it soon afterword. He only spent a few moments doing that, pulling away to see a light mark on that area. He smiled and looked up at her, "Just leaving you a little gift... To remember this by...." he said, kissing the area again.

Cara smiled, enjoying what he was doing to her neck. She felt her breath catch in her throat as he started to suck on it, caught a little off guard, then relaxed and enjoyed it. She opened her eyes and looked at Nex, then smiled, kissing the side of his face once. "Thank you... but I have a feeling I wouldn't forget this even if I tried." she said softly, kissing the side of his face again, then trailing kisses down back to his jaw. She nuzzled his head a little, gently licking a spot of skin there once. "I love you." she whispered, lips against his neck.

Nex smiled, looking up and seeing that she was indeed enjoying herself. He laughed softly as she spoke to him. "hmmm... True... But it still doesn't hurt to leave a little reminder every once and a while...." He felt her return the love that he had given her,earlier. He sighed and placed his arms around her and began to rub her back, sliding his hands into her clothing to touch her bare back. He loved how she kissed him, and as she said the words which warmed his heart, the night seemed to be complete, and whatever problems the two would have in the future. "I love you too," He paused, "With all I have...."

Cara smiled, shivering a little at the feel of his hands on her bare back. She smiled, gently laying her head on his chest, and letting out a soft, content sigh. She was perfectly comfortable, and her thoughts were at ease now.. she wished they could stay like this forever. However, she knew better than to wish that, things would not always be like this. Those thoughts she quickly stripped from her mind, and she cuddles close to Nex. Cara gently pressed her lips to his bare chest, kissing it for a few moments before moving down a little to kiss his stomach, occasionally flicking her tongue out over spots of skin.
