Cara's face didn't light up when se saw Nex come out of the bathroom, like it usually did. Today there was a huge chance her face wouldn't be lighting up at all. She nodded, taking the belt and saying a quick thanks before going into the bathroom to take her shower. The timid man smiled slightly at his thanks, only nodding in response. The spikes did alarm him a little at first, but they weren't anything too unusual from other things he had seen. For a moment he considered asking about the bracelet, but decided it was best not to. The man seemed to detest the thing very much, and he would hate to anger him by asking weird questions. As the man mentioned leaving, he pulled yet another plasma blade out of the back of his shirt. The other man, which had remained quiet until now, doing something with his boots, cleared his throat at the question. "There's a window." he said simply, pointing to a small, about 2x2', window a few yards above them. "There's guards outside, but then again, there's guards everywhere." he said, sighing a bit. Then, like the other man had, slipped what looked like two rather large hand guns out of the back of his shirt, glad that the IAP hadn't taken his clothing. he stepped back a few steps, then got a running start towards the wall in which the window was located, grabbing onto the ledge in front of it. He had wrapped strips of his shirt around his knuckles, which helped him in breaking the window. Then, hopping back down,he turned to the two other men. "Ready?" |

Nex did not like the way she reacted, missing the light in her face. He sighed, looking downward as she entered the bathroom. He then walked over to the edge of the bed, as soon as she got out, he would be greeted by Nex's arms, he knew what was bothering her, and the best he could do was let her know that he would always be there, there was nothing that could change that. The breaking of the glass alerted the guards wandering the lab to their location, he turned in the directions of a few shouts coming off from the distance. "I heard the sound of breaking glass! They are over here!" The clicking of armor against the tile floor was heard in the distance. The naked man looked back at the two, "You go ahead.... There is something I need to take care of.... Payback." He paused as a group of 5 guards linned up against the wall. The spikes in his arm began to vibrate as his eye locked on the group. "Fire!" Two of the group exposed themselves. The spikes in his arms flew out effortlessly and began moving about in front of his body. The clang of metal against metal echoed through the room as the bullets bounced back to those who sent them. The men groaned and fell upon the ground as the other manmade his move. He ran forwards, the remaining two jumped outward, he kicked the first one down, not killing him, but knocking his weapon out of his hand and causing it to slide against the wall. The other two groaned in pain as the spikes entered their body and turned their vital organs into ribbons. "Equip yourself.... That way you will stand a change against them and won't die in an instant." The final guard attempted to get off, but the man stepped upon his neck before he could do anything. Another crack echoed out as he smiled as he returned the favor of all the pain he experienced through his life. He then removed the leggings of the guard he had just killed, putting on the thick armor so he was no longer exposed. He also removed the armor upon his chest, slipping it on easily. He was sure to leave the spikes exposed as they returned and entered his wrist. "By the way...." He said while he slipped on the man's boots, "My name is Sylus... I have no last name." |

Cara took her time in the shower, not really wanting to have to get out and face whatever was coming. She didn't bother coming out to put the belt on, just slipping it on while in the bathroom, choosing armor somewhat like Nex's, but less tight. She walked out of the bathroom quietly, folding her clothes from yesterday and putting them into her bag. One of the men easily hoisted himself back up onto the window ledge, keeping on of his legs slung over both sides. The armor beneath his clothing would handle any shots fired, so he didn't bother protecting his back from the guards outside. The other man was attempting to jump and grab the man who was on the window ledge's hand, so he could be hoisted up, but he was failing miserably. The one on the window's ledge smiled as the now armored man gave them his name, replying with his own as the other timid man finally grasped his hand. "Xander." he stated simply, not bothering to give his last name. The other, rather timid man, then gave his name. "Jarek." He was then hoisted up and out the window by Xander, who then waited for Sylus. "Coming now?" |
Nex saw her holding her clothing, but not bothering to stop and wait for her to put her clothing down. He walked to her, his arms tightly wrapping around her. "I know how you feel.. Trust me, I worry too.... But as long as we are together through all of this, I believe that we can accomplish anything... You give me a strength Cara, a strength that I have never felt before.... I know with this strength I will be able to do the best I have ever done, I only hope I am able to give the same strength to you."
[haha.... alright XD] Sylus lifted his head to see the two exit, he jumped out the window easily himself, not requiring any help as the two guards at the front noted their presence, they wasted no time, unloading in their direction. Sylus's needles protected the group, but even he had limitations as he jumped behind the nearest rock to protect himself. He was starting to get a headache. This did not stop the flurry of bullets coming from that direction, now targetting the two men who were exposed. |
Cara felt tears prick her eyes as she was again brought to remember what they were going back to her planet to do. and how they might fail. She gets her face expressionless, willing her tears back as she returned Nex's embrace. He did give that same strength to her, but she felt that if she replied to that, she might risk crying She didn't want that... she detested crying. she had even learned not to, but in this situation it was incredibly hard for her not to. To hopefully avoid it, she only whispered a few words that she knew might say what she wanted to. "I love you."
As Xander leapt from the window, he noticed the guard already firing at them, and found cover behind a nearby bush. Keeping his lower body behind the bush, he came out sideways, shooting at the two guards with the two seemingly-handguns of his own. The only difference between his and handguns were the bullets and the speed at which his flew; the bullets were something like a plasma blade, they could easily pass through multiple bodies at a time, and the speed at which they came out of the gun were about as fast as any regular ship at its top speed. He had made them. Figured. Jarek, the ex-mayor, on the other hand took to hiding behind Sylus, his hand holding his plasma sword shaking violently. |
Nex knew that this was very hard for the both of them, he was not one to cry, but the look in his eyes showed the sadness and the worry. His arms were still around her, and as she spoke, he couldn't help but smile a little. "I love you too..... with all my heart.... I promise to do all i can to stay safe.... and keep you safe as well." He gave her a gentle kiss upon the neck and kept his head there, he needed to be with her. But a knocking at the door disrupted it. It was Wolfe, "Hey! Are you guys gonna sleep forever in there! Or are you gonna come out sometime soon!"
Sylus noted who the triggerman of the group was, looking at Xander as he shot his modified bullets in the direction of the guards. But they were trianed, and would not be taken down so easily. However, not knowing the piercing abilities of the bullets, one of the guards fell down taking one to the chest. The other hid behind the door of the lab. Sylus was not one to make his move, he moved forward, using the door itself to take the man down. The enemy released a loud groan and felt his life squeezed out of him by the weight of the door being pressed down on top of him. Sylus lifted himself up and then looked back to Jerek, all thankfulness out of his voice and his eyes, "Its time to grow some balls as long as you are here... You have no other use than cannon fodder until then." He spoke, turning to Xander shortly after. "So, I saw you arrived here through a dimentional rift, what were you really planning to do here?" They were still on the same planet, as seen by the similar surroundings. |
Cara forced a slight smile, gently resting her head against her chest. She was thankful he said those words... more of him trying to keep himself safe than her. "Thank you." she said, her eyes starting to dry. She was glad no tears came, closing her eyes for a moment as she stood there with him. She let out a sigh, stepping away as she heard someone at the door. Cara gave Nex a crooked smiled. "Wolfe's waiting for ya."
Xander stood when the other guard hid, planning to just walk over and kill the guy by hand if necessary. However, Sylus beat him to it, and he watched, a bit impressed wit his strength. Not that he had expected any less. He rubbed his neck a bit at his question. "Honestly, I had just escaped form somewhere else, and then, somehow, I ended up here." he said, sighing. Cara and the space idiot would be here soon. He wasn't sure how he could tell, but with his ex-colleagues building that weapon, he knew they would have to come soon. Jarek stood there awkwardly, not feeling quite as mucho f a man as he used to with all his old employees.. |
Nex mumbled something under his breath, "Wolfe is always waiting for me.... He can wait... But I can unlock the door at least." He walked over to the door, pressing a button just to the left of that door, the door open and Wolfe was there, right behind him was Cheng Yu. "Young Nex and Cara.... Ah..." He smiled at the two, Wolfe just to the left. "It seems that we have gotten word of where exactly your parts have arrived... They are being held near the northern point... Also known as the north pole of that area... It seems they are constructing the cannon there.... Sadly to say, several have died."
Yu looked at Cara directly, seeing the distress in her eyes, "You seem.... Troubled, do you still plan to train today? We do not have much to go over... We have less than an hour before arrival." Wolfe added to this, "And I believe we have less than a few hours before they target our cities..." Sylus knew that Xander had the ability to kill them, he just had a grudge against these people. "I saw you had traveled trough a dimentional rift... Which was oddly convenient for me.." he stretched outward, allowing his body to feel fresh air finally, after all these years. "So, tell me, exactly what is going on in this planet, I had been shipped to so many locations in the past 7 years, that I have no idea what is going on anymore..." |
Cara laughed softly at what Nex said, smiling at the two when he opened the door. she was still upset about the words her and Wolfe had exchanged the other day, but she decided to atleast try and be happy. On the other hand, she was happy to see Cheng Yu, her master. She listened to what Wolfe had to say, smiling fading a bit at the news of death. That was to be expected, though. At Yu's question, she glanced at Nex, then Wolfe, the floor, then back to Yu, nodding. "Yes, Master Cheng Yu, if it will fit into the limited time..." she said, hoping that it would. The blade, and the knowledge of chakra would indeed help... alot. But, she wanted strength from this training, and if she could fit more training in before they landed, she would try and get as much training in as possible.
Jarek, again, stood quietly. seeing as he wasn't going to answer, Wolfe took the liberty of answering the question. "to put it in short, space pirates are building a weapon... a large-scale one on this planet. There is, what seems like a small group of Mavericks, in which a friend of mine is in, that are trying to stop the pirates from doing this. The IAP are also present on the planet... fighting against both sides. I'm not entirely sure what they're doing here, but.." he shrugged, letting out a sigh. "We should probably leave, if we're done here." |
Nex sighed, knowing this would come up, there was a great silence in the group for a moment. Wolfe found an exit quickly, "Well, I think I am going to get going. I have.... Things to do." Wolfe walked off, and Yu sighed. "The man will easily crack under pressure, I am looking to you two to lead this assault..." He then looked directly at Cara, speaking smoothly, he told her exactly what he had thought. "I see much potential in you... After our last training session I knew that there was something inside of you that was screaming to come out as a warrior. Perhaps you will show your potential in this battle, but every warrior needs his rest.... Are you sure you want to continue with your training?"
"The IAP..... are trying to stop the weapon.... They want the planet themselves for tests of the local people.... They believe that the strange diseases of this planet and people will be able to teach them more about the humanoids..." he looked down, "I was a speical case, I was a humanoid with mental abilities far beyond most people. Shown by my telekenisis... I was..... I was a refugee from earth. The IAP siezed me from that area. Then Earth... Well... I'm sure you have heard the rest of the story." He didn't care much for the planet himself, as he was not much of a caring individual despite his suffering. |
Cara let out a soft sigh. She didn't like the silence she seemed to have caused. she smiled softly at what Yu then said, starting to rethink training again today. There was less than an hour... and it may be her last. That thought didn't scare her, not at all, but she would much rather be spending time with Nex, whether they would have time alone or not. "Umm.. maybe resting would be better..." she said, casting a side glance at Nex.
Jarek and Xander shared the same expression, a mix of sympathy for the seemingly not sympathetic Sylus, and a look of horror. Jarek seemed to be speechless. Xander swalloed, regaining his composure after a seconds. "In any case... that is why I want to meet with the maverick group when they arrive.. I... want to offer assistance if they'll allow me to." At that, Jarek spat, noticing what group he was talking about that. "The cyborg freak and that scared little girl? Pfft." Xander wasn't happy with that. Gripping him by the collar, he hoisted him up to meet him eye to eye. "Your precious little employees aren't here to protect you, so next time, try watching your mouth." Jarek nodded, scared, and let out a sigh of relief as Xander let him down again. |
Nex was well aware of why she wanted to stay behind, and Cheng Yu smiled, looking at Nex, and then back at Cara. "Alright, I understand...." he said, turning around, but before he walked too far away, he spoke out loud back to them, "They say that love is the strongest motivator out of all things. They can cause the weakest man to tear through all things... And the same goes with women. I would not worry about what will happen... For I know you will not leave each other's side in this battle... When one is struggling, the other shall support... Which is why I was sure to assign you two in a group when we land... Be prepared in 40 minutes." Yu left with those final words. Nex walked behind her and put his arms around her from behind, he gave her a kiss to the back of hte head once, whispering in the back of her ear, "You know.... He is right.... I won't let anything happen to you.... and I know You will not let anything happen to me either."
Sylus did not know exactly what the two were talking about, but he recognized that there was a fight here between space pirates and the IAP. He was inclined to suppor the space pirates, yet he had no idea who they were. Sylus looked at the two of them, he looked directly at Jarek with a frown. Xander seemed to take care of the situation, he was tempted to shoke a spike into his head. "Anyway.... I have nothing to do.... And this planet needs ot stay in tact unless someone here plans to give me a lift, I need to eliminate these space pirates you speak of.... And because you have more information, I'm wondering if you would allow me to come with you." He looked at Xander, since he seemed to be the leader of this group. |
Cara smiled softly at Cheng Yu's words, and again as Nex confirmed them. She nodded in agreement as she felt his arms wrap around her, turning her head so she could see him. A sudden thought then occurred to her. "I wonder if Pyrus met the mayor?" she asked, teasingly. "I mean, I know the mayor has a rather large bounty... and we did make a stop there.." Little did she know how right she was.
Xander blinked in surprise. "Alright.. I'm fine with it but I won't be responsible for death or injury.." he then looked to the mayor. "You coming?" he asked, expectantly. Jarek would have loved to decline, and just go home..... but he had the feeling that Xander would skin him if he declined. He quickly nodded. |
Nex wondered the same thing, Pyrus is normally efficient if he wants something in jail, Nex was the only exclusion. "Well, we will find out if we get down there.... I just wonder if the city is still standing, I couldn't care less about that damn mayor." He shook his head, not really knowing, " All these questions will be answered when we hit the planet, until then we have each other." he said quietly in her ear, nibbling on her earlobe shortly after, then resting his head on her shoulder.
Sylus nodded, "I am responsable for myself, I expect nothing from you other than you being a guide for me in this unknown planet." He simply said. Entirely ignoring Jerek, despite his releasing him earlier, he walked up front and jumped on top of a rock formation, his eyes scanned the area, looking to the flashes of gunfire in various locations and smoke rising from the horizon. He looked back down to them, "This place is a battlefield.... I can smell corpses even from here.... Its almost like a second earth.... Its sad to see." |
Cara inhaled sharply at the mention on if the city was still standing. That city had great significance to her, and it was the only one she knew that hadn't been destroyed by space pirates yet. Well, hopefully not yet. Xander was on that planet.. renewed worry came back at that thought. Cara relaxed a bit at the feeling of him nibbling on her ear, and smiled a little.
Xander nodded, only replying with a "Good." His face turned a bit graver at the mention of the look of his planet. "Yes... it has been like this for 9 long years. Nine excruciatingly long years.." his gaze seemed distant as he looked down the road for a moment, he then shook his head. "Anyways... we need to be able to meet the maverick group when they land. We should get going, because I doubt they're gonna want to be landing anywhere near the IAP." With that, he walked over to the single road leading away form the lab they had escaped from, Jarek following quickly after him. |
Nex knew that the idea of the destruction of the town where you had learned everything from and experienced your fondest memories did not sound too positive, but they had to accept what might have happened. Avoiding it would only increase the pain if had actually happened. But something in Nex told him that the town was still standing, It was a major place for activities with the space pirates, and the IAP never destroyed towns meaninglessly. The only option of it being destroyed would be if.... Pyrus
The cool air gently brushed against the skin of his body and the steel of his arms. His mind was only on one thing right now though, he knew that Nex was returning. The only man who had avoided his seemingly unstopable power. He growled quietly to himself, members of the IAP marching around his area. "Keep your eyes open men... The group of mavericks should be here soon. We will not allow any of them to escape. Capture or kill as many as you can, but be sure that Nex and the girl do not die... I want them alive, so I can turn them into the IAP myself." he corssed his arms, his eyes to the sky, he could feel them getting closer.... Closer.... Nex Nex erased the thoughts from his mind, he did not worry, because he knew it would distract him from the slowly shrinking time the two had together. Nex's arms tightened around her, he leaned into her grip and sighed, his eyes half closed. Sylus, who had never been to this planet before, knew what it was like to see one's own planet torn apart. But there seemed to be a difference between the two of them. Sylus had already seen it, and in the process he had lost a lot of what made him human. His eyes no longer looked as though they were connected with this world. They seemed to be a red pool that looked off into space no matter what would happen. Sylus noted that the two were already walking off, Sylus followed the group with his eyes. He then followed shortly after, saying nothing. Keeping his keen eyes open. An explosion echoed out across the land, shaking the ground like an earthquake not too long after they had started to walk. |
Cara 's mind raced. Everything had happened so quickly... If it weren't for her meeting Nex, she would still be back there. Probably dead, if not worse. Letting out a soft sigh, she gently leaned her head against his chest, just resting it there as she closed her eyes. She didn't want to think right now, or talk, or move.. her world was spinning.
Xander stopped at the explosion, cursing under his breath. Turning to the other two men behind him, his eyes went to the ex mayor, then Sylus. "Walking will take too long... how well can you two fly? Not a ship in particular, in fact you don't even have to actually fly it... just steer." He knew the mayor could probably handle what he had in mind, but if Sylus could handle it just as well, if not better, he'd prefer choosing him. Jarek frowned a bit. He didn't know what kind of vehicle Xander was thinking of, knowing he was a rather talented engineer when he worked at something, but he knew the question was more directed at Sylus. Xander, or anyone from his town in that case, would know he could fly, much the less steer. |
Nex did little as he heard the sounds of movement coming from the outside. He knew that soon would be the time they would have to go. Less than 15 minutes probably, Nex sighed to himself. "I think its time we go." He reluctantly let go of her, walking over to the other side of the room and reaching downward. He had left his rifle-arm attatchment on a stand, and as he pulled it up and slid it onto his arm effortlessly, he turned around and looked at her, waiting for her to get the weapon which was given to her by Yu.
Sylus had spent years wandering wastelands, of course he could not fly a plane! However, he had controlled a tank before, although it was a tank stolen from the IAP, he had no idea what Xander had plans for him to control. "The only thing I have controlled before is a IAP tank, I am not much with machinery. My skills are in other fields." |
Cara let go of Nex, unwillingly, and went over to the side of the bed to grab the blade that was given to her by Yu. She would not be smiling nor happy today, that she had already figured out. Given the circumstances, she would be greatly surprised if she did. She walked over to the door, waiting for Nex. She didn't know where they were going, anyways, so he would have to lead.
Xander raised an eyebrow. 'Other fields?' What other fields are there? Besides farming, of course... and he certainly doesn't fit into that category. Sighing, he tossed a key to Jarek, who smiled happily. "We're using your bikes?" he asked happily. Xander nodded, unimpressed by his excitedness. He slipped a keychain out of his pocket, which held many keys and a small button. He pressed the button, and a few moments later, two vehicles approached. Two vehicles that Sylus might recognize as looking something like, well, motorcycles, but that was something Xander had never heard of. They were rather similar to motorcycles, except there were no wheels, but a booster, like a rocket would have on a ship. Jarek smiled and hopped onto one, hands already on the handles. Xander stepped onto his, then turned towards Jarek. "You'll have to ride with either Jarek or me, since I don't have a third one." |
Nex looked upon the weapon in her hand, the glowing plasma upon that blade could easily cut through the strongest of steal, Human skin would be melted upon contact with the blade. He looked at his own weapon, it shot a bolt of pure energy, and the unlucky sap that happened to be on the other end of the weapon would not be standing for long. "Come on, lets go." He sake, taking her hand with his human hand and walking out into the main room.
There seemed to only be about 15 people out now in their group, the other ships holding the rest of the group. Cheng Yu had a strange device, almost like a cell phone in his right hand. While Wolfe was standing next to him with a large rifle along his back, Yu appeared to be unarmed. "Rumors say that there is a small group of individuals willing to help us.... I hear there are only two of them, but if they have lived upon the planet long enough... The least they can do for us is become guides..." He looked at the communicator, shaking his head, "I would send a signal out, but with the IAP and space pirates out there, it would most likely just notify them of our position." Sylus smiled, "Well... You can keep your machines all to yourselves, I think I have a much better option." The spikes that were within his right wrist flew outward and delved into the ground below his feet. The ground shook underneath him until two lumps appeared just bellow his feet. As though he was skating across the dirt, he slid forward and lifted one foot off the ground, then placed his other foot on the ground as his other foot lifted upward. "So, exactly where are we meeting these Mavericks?" |

Cara nodded quietly, following Nex through the ship to meet up with their group. She felt his human hand take one of hers, and gently laced her fingers through his as they walked. She tried not to think, and didn't have anything to say.. she barely even noticed when they arrived to the room with the others in it. Cara did manage to notice Cheng Yu and Wolfe in the room, but failed to listen in on the conversation. Too much was happening, in her perspective, at the moment... it seemed as if the past 12 years had just now caught up to her. Xander cocked an eyebrow at Sylus' preferred method of transport, then shrugged. "Alright.." he then paused to think. "Not quite sure. I have no method of contacting them at the moment, we'll just have to find them when they land..." his gaze then went over the field in front of them. "Of course, I'll doubt they would land here, near the IAP lab." |

Nex looked upon the two, "They will know of our position within about 5 minutes anyway, why not take the risk and just send the electronic signal out?" Yu lifted his head toward the direction that Nex's voice was coming from, but did not meet eye contact with him. He took a long pause before speaking, "Very well then.... But we must wait until we are already in the atmosphere... If we send it out beforehand, they will just cause us to be a flaming ball of wreckage in the sky." Nex nodded, looking at Wolfe. He did not like the idea of his prized ship being torn into pieces by the powerful weapons of the IAP, but he knew that there were little other options in this circumstance. "Five minutes.... Give me five minutes to send the signal out...." Nex nodded, "Sounds good," he squeezed Cara's hand a bit, looking back toward her before the battle begun, they were less than 15 minutes from the battle by now. Sylus agreed and began to follow along with the two, but as his eyes went to the sky he saw their target, a mass of ships that seemed like a wall of fire from where they were currently standing. He pointed upward and stopped in his tracks, hoping that the other two would notice the line of ships coming downward, the suit that he was wearing began to beep, Cheng Yu's voice echoing outward through the ears of the individuals within earshot of his signal. "Attention all who wish to aid in the push against the IAP, we will be landing to the southwest of the largest town on the western hemisphere of the planet, those who wish to help in our cause." Sylus recognized the voice, recognizing several other voices in the background, one of them causing a change in his expression. "How far away are we from that location?" |

Cara tuned back into the conversation, though staying quiet. She wasn't exactly sure what they were talking about, with this 'electronical signal', but she tried to keep up nonetheless. However, near the end of their conversation, she took the hint. The battle was coming, and fast. What seemed to be too fast. She found herself biting her lip, her gaze turned downwards. When next spoke again, her gaze went upwards to meet his, also tightening her hold on his hand. Cara would savor these last few minutes. Xander and Jarek stopped soon enough, only a moment or so after Sylus. Xander hadn't been expecting the mavericks to land so close, and ask for help, anywhere near an IAP lab. He thought the message was a little unnecessary, he knew they were not that uncapable to have to ask where they were landing. They could have followed after it. Sighing, he turned to face the other two, his eyes going to meet Jarek's, knowing he would also know the answer to Sylus' question. "Not far. A few miles at most..." His gaze then slid to lock onto Sylus', a serious expression covering his face. "I suppose you're familiar with one of theirs?" He didn't wait for an answer before taking off down the road again, faster this time, knowing the city was close and the two behind him would get the hint and follow after. He could already see the tops of the highest buildings, and involuntarily sped up. |
Nex felt the ship shake a bit as they reached the atmosphere, his eyes were focused to the window that lead to the outside world, allowing them to see into space. Everything through the window would be seen in a light, red tint, as the heat of the atmosphere acting as a large shield against their advance. Yu sighed, seeing as the flash of lasers and missiles bashed against their outer shielding, the IAP was beggining their offensive, the ship began to shake even more.
Sylus nodded as they responded, knowing that they were thinking amongst themselves for the moment, and as the question he knew that was coming entered his ears, he ran a hand through his smooth, black hair before speaking again. "I am... older than you probably thought originally," Sylus said. Indeed, his skin was smooth, but his next statement would probably leave them with many questions. Cara's grip on Nex's hand tightened a little as the ship started to shake. She had never been in space before, therefore she had never experienced entering the atmosphere much the less being shot at, not by lasers anyways. She watched the happenings outside from the window, starting to get anxious about the upcoming battle. Xander sped up again. The city was so close... but it seemed like getting there was taking an eternity. He silently questioned Sylus' first comment in his head, and as if he had heard, he answered it. His son? Probably had something to do with... the spike thing.. He shook that thought off as he drove. He had seen and heard far weirder things. Jarek seemed a bit shocked, speechless in fact. "How..." he almost asked how, but he figured it might be a bad question. Seeing how close the city was, he too sped up. |
