Cara grinned at Nex again as he disinfected her wound for her, surprised that there was not stinging. She had forgotten for a moment how advanced the 'future' was. "Thanks." she said softly as she took the bandage, wrapping her ankle quickly and putting her shoe back on while he talked. She didn't really understand it, but she got the main idea. Especially when the whole town shook, her having to catch herself on the wall as she stood.

She frowned for a moment, before a smile slowly spread onto her face. "There's a reason that this town had been standing these past 12 years, and that something is a shield rather alot like like the one in use at the moment. I suppose Jarek could come into use after all?" she then grabbed Nex's hand and jogged out of the house, not taking long to find Jarek. "I have a feeling you have the means to fix our situation." she said softly, motioning up towards the light and the shield. He had to think about this for a moment before smiling. "Yes, in fact. I may. I'll try it." With that, he ran off, rather fast, might I add, in the direction of his house.

Sylus was right behind the shield, as soon as it went down, he knew many would fall, and he was there to kill many more than than the Mavericks would lose today. He began breathing heavily, anticipation building up as his hands reached up to touch the shield. "I can wait all day you assholes! Launch the last shell! I know how much this shield has left!" He literally shouted, Wolfe looking to him as though he was insane. Chances are, being locked in a lab for all of those years had caused this.

Nex suddenly felt himself being pulled along, he did not find, although he wondered what was on her mind. His eyes went to Jerek, the seemingly useless individuals until now. He had something to stop them in their tracks. His eyes followed him along as he ran to his house, but his gaze suddenly shifted to Sylus, something was very wrong.

Sylus was shouting at the top of his lungs, his hands running across the shield as his eyes followed the sky for an invisible object. "It can't be! No! You are supposed to be dead!" It seemed the insanity had finally got to him, as everyone followed him with their eyes, including the IAP soldiers, even the commander was distracted. Sylus roared outward again, "Its about to rain.... Heavily.... 15 minutes.... NO... 20 Minutes... STOP FUCKING WITH ME!" The skies suddenly went from their natural blue to a stormy black, the thunder echoing across the sky almost instantly. Rain followed soon after, pelting everyone with a heavy downpour. "The bastard predicted the weather..." Said the enemy commander as he looked to the sky.

Jarek made a quick phone call first, before going to the task at hand, setting up that shield of his around the city. He practically flew down his stairs into his garage, hopping into his desk's seat and typing his password into his computer. He then smiled. Help was on the way, and it made him feel... useful.

Cara's body stiffened as she watched Sylus seemingly going mad. He was yelling profanities into the sky and... predicting the weather? "What the hell?" she wondered aloud, turning to look at Nex, who probably knew this man better than she. Maybe he knew what was going on, maybe not, but the way Sylus was acting was borderline crazy. No, not even. It was crazy, it was insane. She shivered a bit involuntarily, before her attention turned to the skies as well, though not for the same reason as Sylus. Ships were started to gather overhead, surrounding the city. For a moment, it worried Cara, but only until she recognized a few of them, and smiled.

At the same time, Jarek reappeared by the group, coming up to Cara, out of breath. He couldn't speak, his mouth was so dry, but he held up his thumb and grinned. At the moment, a bit of hope rekindled in Cara as she watched a shield form over the one the Mavericks were using, easily blocking off the plasma being sent at them by the IAP. This shield was how this particular village had lasted so long, why none of its inhabitants knew how to fight. There had never been the need.

One group of ships, after the shield was in place, then proceeded to bombard the massive light with whatever weapons they had, hoping to break it. Meanwhile another group of similar ships were surrounding the city, dropping small-scale bombs on the IAP surrounding it, focusing on their tanks.

Cheng Yu and the space pirates looked to the sky, their hearts filling with joy as they had gotten what they had only dreamed of getting through this entire battle. Airship backup. The plasma shell burst into a massive explosion in the sky, stopping their final attack upon the shield and causing every space pirate to cheer. The IAP began running for the hills as the bombs fell upon them, the cheers only getting louder. Only the commander stood still, in front of the destroyed tank thanks to Sylus's impenitrable defense.

It was strange, the way Sylus and the enemy commander had a staredown right there, even though the first battle for this planet was won, the commander seemed intent on looking Sylus eye to eye. It was impossible to see the enemy's emotion. Sylus was the exact opposite, he was covered in sweat, frantic as he looked at him. The commander simply casually walked off through the dropping of bombs, his troops already gone.

One final cheer errupted all all attention was given to Jerek, several of the big, burly men of the Mavericks patting Jerek on the back and giving him praise, even Yu smiled inwardly as he turned around and looked at the man. "I suppose I was wrong.... Connections are not.... Entirely useless. Nex smiled and gave his own praise as well, "I thought we were gonners... But you really pulled through... Thank you." He said simply to the man, walking over to Cara and giving her something which he felt as though he was waiting too long for. A big hug for her efforts. Indeed, if it was not for the combined efforts of everyone here today, this wouldn't have been a victory.

Wolfe was the last to walk up and thank Jerek, however, it seemed to have the most feeling of all. He smirked at Jerek and spoke directly to him, "Boy, you really kicked my ass out there today... Keep it up man." He patted him on the shoulder and walked by him, motioning for him to come, their work was not over yet.

The mavericks began combing the town for any survivors, pulling people out of the rubble and gaining favor among the villagers. They even handed out provisions and weapons just in case they needed to defend themselves. It didn't take them long to see who the bad guys were.

Cara smiled as Nex approached. It had seemed an eternity since she'd last been in his arms, and when he embraced her, she took no time in wrapping her arms around him in a hug. When he broke away, she quickly kissed him before letting him go to thank Jarek for saving all their asses.

Cara smiled as she watched the surrounding scene. She, too, came up to thank the ex-mayor. After the others, of course. She stood there awkwardly for a moment before smiling. "Thanks... for calling your... friends." Jarek laughed at this, smiling as well. "They're yours as well." At this, her eyes widened and she turned to see the people who had been occupying the space ships walking out of the forrest and into the town, many of which were faces she recognized. Tears she didn't know she'd still had sprang into her eyes, seeing her old friends. The whole group was dressed in types of leather, many didn't look like they belonged to this planet anymore at all. A group of 30 or so men and women stood there, to Cara's surprise, there were about the same amount of women, most of which she knew. Some were friends that she'd been separated from, some were ones she'd thought to be dead by now... She found herself running to meet the group. Hugs were exchanged, tears were shared, the whole enchilada. Cara found herself smiling rather brightly for the first time in a while. Especially when the crowd of them parted to reveal a middle-aged man, just over 40, who held a striking resemblance to Cara. She quickly wiped her eyes and cleared her throat. "Hey Dad." she said softly, looking up at the man. The man smiled and held his arms open as she embraced him in a bear hug. "Hey, Kiddo."

They pulled away soon after, aware that introductions were necessary. The man whom Cara had identified as her father cleared his throat as his group approached the group of Mavericks, looking for the one in charge of the group, the one introductions should be made to.

Nex had not left yet, lovingly returning the kiss, but then turning to see the newcomers. It seemed she turned around at that time, she finally seemed happy about being back on this planet, and it was only for one reason, seeing the people who meant the most to her, including her father. Nex looked at the man, seeing the two embrace in a bear hug as though they had not seen each other in a while. Its a shock that Jerek was able to summon all of these people.

As their group looked for the leader of the Mavericks, Cheng Yu was quickly summoned. However, as he walked up, he didn't feel as though he was a true leader. Each of the Mavericks moved of their own accord, and their only reason for being here was truly Nex. He smiled at the man nonetheless, and spoke simply of what his thoughts were, "Ah.... So you are looking for who controls the Mavericks, I regret to inform you that each of the Mavericks move of their own choice, they are controled by nobody. However, if you would like to speak to the man who organized this revolution... He is standing right here." Wolfe pushed Nex to the front of the group that had gathered, causing Nex to nearly trip on his own feet, the group laughed, Yu catching him before he caused himself to do a faceplant.

The wiry nex felt the presence of the man quickly, not feeling entirely comfortable with speaking to his lover's dad yet for certain reasons. He supposed it was only natural for him to feel nervous in the "meet the parent" situation, however, this was not the same situation. However, he could not help but look to Cara once, as though he was seeking support. He gathered up the courage to talk soon, after all, it was all business. "Ah.. You really saved our butts back there.... Thanks for the aid, and we would be happy to help you liberate your planet from the control of both the IAP and the Space Pirates." He looked to Cara yet again, finding courage in his next words. He spoke strongly and with confidence, "However, there is one thing I need to find on my liberation.... I am missing the final piece of my ship, the bridge area, that is the other reason I am here." He paused for a moment, thinking of the next words to say, "However, I will not stop in aiding your cause... I would be happy to work alongside you." He extended his hand to the man, a sign of peace betwee the two forces.

Cara's father, yet to name himself for the group, chuckled and nodded at Cheng Yu's comment. He had figured as much, but he knew there had to be some sort of person behind their presence. Cara cringed as Wolfe pushed Nex, wishing she had been closer, so she could hold him up herself, but of course Yu did. She cringed a bit, feeling bad for having Nex so suddenly in the 'meet the parent' situation. She found herself a little relieved that this time it was strictly business. She caught Nex's gaze, and smile at him, giving him a thumbs up, hopefully encouraging him a bit. He seemed to finally gather the courage to talk to the man, and she smiled as he did so. "If you desire so strongly to help our planet, then my friends and I.." he said, motioning to the group behind him. "Would be glad to help with finding your ship part." he then paused, chuckling again at the formality of him holding out his hand. "I'm sorry, I'm a rather simple man. Not used to these.. formalities." He then took his hand, shaking it firmly before turning back to Cara. Then Nex. Then Cara. He had caught their glances, and it was obvious to him what he was to her. This only made him smile. At this moment of his recognition of what was between this stranger and his daughter, he smiled and clapped Nex on the back once, not saying anything on it, but hopefully conveying his message.

At this gesture, the group around Cara started whispering a bit, her face flushing from overhearing a few profanities coming from them. To escape their gossiping, she walked over to Nex, her hand going to his arm. "What now?" she asked in a soft voice, looking around. It seemed her father, too, was wondering the same thing as he waited, small talk starting between him and the group he had arrived with.

As the awkwardness of the situation died down, Nex took a firm grasp of Cara's father's hand and shook it. He left out no strength despite his wiry arm, sure to use his human arm rather than his robot arm so he would not have the potential to break his knuckles. The awkwardness seemed to entirely leave the situation, but he was taken by surprise yet again as he felt a pat on the back. Well.... That was different.... Didn't take him long to figure that out. The whispers coming soon after seemed to send this whole situation out of control, Nex's normally controlled self had lost all control, and many thoughts raced through his head as he stood there, frozen. Only Cara's touch was able to bring him back to earth.

Nex saw the small talk, the gossip, and he only thought one thing as his mind put all the pieces together. Wait.... I'm better than this.... Nex's eyes met Cara's with an almost devious smile. The entire group watched his nex move, all eyes on Nex. Nex hauled her from the ground despite her blush and spoke plainly and simply to the group, although his eyes were focused on the father, "What are you all talking about!? Haven't you ever seen a man and a woman in love before?" He was not ashamed of his love with Cara, his mind was only temporarily clouded by thoughts that most people had. Luckily, Nex showed his old self again and proclaimed his love to Cara in front of a large crowd. He awaited their reaction with a toothy grin on his face.

Cara was surprised with Nex's devious smile, but smiled as she was picked up. She didn't mind at all, though her blush did become a bit more visible to all watching. She smiled at his words, leaning up to plant a gentle, loving kiss on his lips to add a bit more to the affect. Well, that, and she wanted to. Cara's father turned to see this and smiled, laughing at the couple's enthusiasm. The group around him was a bit surprised by the sudden profession of their love, then slowly their faces turned happy, smiling, clapping, and wolf whistling at the two. Cara found herself smiling brightly, looking up at Nex, rather than the group. She could really care less about their approval, though it was nice to have some 'encouragement'. Soon the group approached the couple, greeting Nex as if they'd known him their whole lives. Though, not in a creepy way. Cara smiled, but kept her eyes on Nex. After the attention died down a bit, and mingling broke out again, Cara's father approached Nex. "Young man, may I request a private audience with you?"

Nex also did not care for approval, he just wanted to make a statement. However, he did appreciate the hoots and shouts coming from those he considered his family now and those who now seemed to be his new family. He greeted them all back with kind faces, letting Cara down soon after the kiss, but keeping one arm around him the entire time as he kept a smile on his face the entire time. Today was going great, he felt nothing could go wrong at this point.

The Mavericks meanwhile accepted the newcomers with open arms. Cheng Yu sitting silently in the corner and speaking to all who spoke to him. Wolfe focusing his attention upon the women, as was his habits. And Sylus sitting on the roof with his eyes down upon the group, he was not one for social occassions.

Through all the greeting a feast was prepared, rations rolled out in crates for all those who needed to eat, as that which was supposed to be a battlefield turned into a party. Nex was chatting it up with a few of these people when Cara's father caught his attention. He wondered exactly what was so important about them talking in private, but he supposed it was important enough considering it was a 'other father to daughter's boyfriend talk'. Nex brought him to a silent area that was distant enough from the others and awaited what he wanted, being sure to tell cara that he would be right back soon. "So, what do you want?" he asked in a casual manner.

Cara smiled, staying close to Nex as they mingled with the new addition to the Maverick's group. During this, Cara noticed she was still wearing the heavily armored outfit, which was highly uncomfortable, and compared to some of the skimpy things the newcomer women were wearing... She nodded as Nex went off with her father, walking out of the crowd herself to do a quick outfit change.

Cara's father turned to look Nex in the eyes as they stopped walking when they arrived at the quiet place Nex had led him to. The smile gone from his face, as he placed on arm on Nex's shoulder. "I'm sorry to have taken you away during a conversation, I'm sure this will be quick... I just wanted to ask you something." he said, then paused, as if looking for words. "What are your intentions with Cara? It is obvious you two care for each other greatly, but what are your plans for your relationship?" This was a rather typical 'meet the parents' question, one that he was sure could be answered rather quickly.

Cara walked back into the crowd with her new little ensemble; skin tight, black leather pants, covering most of the boots that were now adorned on her feet, her whole stomach and most of her back was exposed, the top she had chosen was low cut, staying decent, the back of it was a bit stringy. She looked around the area, spotting Nex and her father not too far away, talking privately. She decided to mingle until they were done, hoping that her father wouldn't scare Nex off, if that was possible.

Cara's father caught a glimpse of Cara in her new outfit, and smiled, an unusual thing for a father to do while seeing their only daughter dressed in that fashion. "My, my, what a questionable outfit she changed into."

Nex thought this question was going to come, he knew it was going to come, and he dreaded the question was going to come ever since he heard that this man was indeed Cara's father. He took a deep breath, he honestly hadn't thought of this at all, "Give me a moment," He said, turning around for a moment and shrugging his hand away, not out of disrespect, but out of thought. He placed one hand on the great wall of the town, looking up, he finally had an answer.

But before he could speak, he spotted Cara in that skimpy outfit, seeing Cara's father smile about it, it was a bit unusual for a father to smile about that, he rose an eyebrow, but decided not to comment on it. "Well... I honestly don't know exactly what i'm going to do.... I know I love her.... I know I want to be with her, and I'll sure as hell never leave her side." He smiled a bit, as this was coming to the heart, "If I had to tell you what I plan to do in the future with Cara... Well... I don't know... But I know one thing I want to do for her..." he looked to the ground a bit, his heart getting the best of him, "Well.... I want to make her happy.... I want to see her happy. I want to see her smile and I want to help make every day for her not just another day... But another day to look forward to. Sure, the thought is nice when you think of 'waking up every morning with a smile'... But.... Its more than that.... I want to be sure none of it is false... and I'm going to fight to make sure tha whenever she smiles.... That it is always from the heart...." he nodded, "I know its kind of vague, but.... You get the picture?" Nex's mushy side was showing, he wondered exactly what kind of response he would get. He awaited eagerly.

Cara's father nodded and waited rather patiently, for his answer to his question. He listened, his face not showing any emotions until Nex was finished, at that point he smiled. "Take good care of her." he said simply, not exactly as a reply, or a warning. Just a... sort of request from him. The man then walked off back to the group, leaving Nex there alone.

Cara noticed her father walking away, looking rather content with their conversation, and Cara smiled at Nex. She jogged over to him, looking up at him for a moment before her gaze went to the stars. She decided not to ask about their conversation, what they had talked about. Instead, she wrapped her arms around him. "I love you Nex." she said softly, feeling as if it needed to be said at the moment.

A blonde woman from the 'new comer' group looked about the group of Mavericks. Never had she had such a... variety. She frowned, seeing no one too interesting until her eyes rested upon a man, one who seemingly liked the companionship of the other women. Her frowned turned into a smile as she made her way through the crowd, getting within earshot until she caught his name. Wolfe. She would have to get him away from the other women first... At that thought, she came up with a rather simple plan. Pleased, she adjusted her skin tight outfit a bit, tousled her hair a little, and turned around so she was face to face with him. She put on a fake surprised face. "Oh, Wolfe! So that's where you were!" she said, smiling in a flirtatious manner. "I was looking everywhere for you, honey!" she said, wrapping an arm around him, pressing herself rather close. The other women made disgusted faces and walked away, leaving the two of them. She smiled and turned to face him. "Sorry... I just couldn't resist..." she said at almost a whisper, her lips close to his ear.

Nex was sure to do that, smiling as he followed his lover's father with his own eyes. He felt he had accomplished something today, a major stepping stone in his life. Most parents did not accept the boyfriend, but this seemed to be a special occasion.

After his conversation with her father, Cara was exactly what he needed right now, and so was this quiet area away from the others. Nex smiled and put his arms tightly around her, "I love you too Cara.... You make me so happy...." he said quietly, taking hold of her hand and dragging her off to a place where they could not be seen.

The moon was beautiful tonight, Nex found a good grassy hill for the two of them to sit on, he wasted no time and sat upon it with his legs lazily resting in front of him. He extended his arms, wanting her to rest there while the two of them watched the sky.

Wolfe meanwhile was enjoying himself quite thoughly, telling the story of his past life and adding mild flirty dailog to his daring adventures. To be honest, he had a lot to brag about, and he was not shy about telling it to other people. There was one girl to the left of him, a girl he found the most beautiful, he kept getting closer... Closer.... Closer....

Wolfe's dream was yanked away with him, along with his chance to score with any of these women. Before he knew it, he was pressed close to a woman who made some unhealthy claims that made Wolfe forever curse his days of being a player. "Wait! don't go! Stay!" He looked disapointed, his buddied all laughing at him as they saw the scene unfold. Wolfe looked upon the woman with blonde hair, he wouldn't have minded getting her, but she had to push things. And all Wolfe could do was smile and say, "Well... it seems you got me there..." He said, one of the girls returning with a full cup just to empty it upon his face. Wolfe was now frustrated, steam coming out of his ears as it seemed, but he simply calmed down after a few moments. He then placed his hand upon the walls, "So, any other ways you want to ruin my good mood....?" he asked, his smile left entirely.

Cara smiled in his arms, hearing what he said. This day, besides the battle, had been virtually perfect in her mind. She smiled as he grabbed her hand, following after him to the grassy hill he found, far from any distractions. Cara didn't need for him to invite her over, she walked over and sat next to him, her legs resting in front of her. Her foot still stung quite a bit, and she figured it was her shoe's fault, so she slipped them off, taking a quick peek underneath her bandage as she did so. She then relaxed against Nex, her head turning, finding she had a rather nice view of his neck, and leaning forward a little to place a few sweet kisses there.

The woman simply giggled as the other lady dumper her drink on him, taking the liberty to brush a piece of something, whether it be fruit or a large piece of pulp, from his face. "Nope." she said sweetly, looking up at him. she didn't mind that he was covered in a drink at the present time, she found him rather attractive, but if he was going to get an attitude. "Well, then. Excuse me for trying to have a good time." she said, a bit hurt. She had never been treated like that by a male, nor did she intend to any long. She narrowed her eyes at him for a moment before walking off, back into the crowd.

Nex smiled and put his arms around her as she sat in front of her. He saw her tilt her head up so that she could see his neck, he looked down at her beautiful face, he couldn't help but laugh as she kissed his neck, it tickled a bit, as it was gentle. Meanwhile, his two hands went around her stomach, searching for her hands so he could hold the two of them tightly together. He said nothing, there was no need for any more words. And all of his words would come out muffled anyway as he nuzzled the back of her head whenever he could.

Wolfe realized that she probably was offendd by his actions. Well, she deserved it... After all, she ruined my chance to score... Wait.... That is no way to treat a lady... Maybe I should....Wolfe reached out and stopped her in her tracks, "Look... I'm sorry, I realize you were just playing around... And I overeacted a little bit.... Okay.... i'm sorry?" He knew that he might not be forgiven right away, but he didn't expect it that way. Meanwhile, Sylus still watched the two of them with interest, holding an apple in his hands while he did so. Every once and a while, he brushed his long hair aside to take a bite of the apple. "This is humorous..." he said out loud, not realizing he had spoken his thoughts.

Cara smiled, she loved being in his arms. She turned her head to the side, feeling him nuzzling the back of her head, which had made hr giggle a little, and captured his lips with her own. She ever so slowly turn around so that she was facing him, her hands resting on his shoulders, her legs bent, feet behind her. Once she was fulling facing him, she gently trailed her tongue along his lips before gently sucking on his bottom lip.

The blonde turned to face him again, a pout on her face. She took his apology, not fully forgiving him, but deciding to make a comment instead. "Well, I'm sorry for scaring off those girls.. especially that brunette that you were trying to make a move on." she said, a slightly flirty tone in her voice. She had noticed it. There had been a rather beautiful, if she may say so herself, brunette on his left just a minute ago. She was actually surprised he apologized, but still.. it bugged her. usually she was the one surrounded by guys, not trying to make a move on some random guy that was surrounded by girls. That thought made her frown a bit more. She sighed, turning to see Sylus looking at the two. Her eyebrows furrowed a bit, hearing his comment. "What's humorous?"

Nex eagerly accepted her as she turned around, the two were now face to face, lovingly returning the kiss as she caught his lips by surprise. He tongued her back, tasting the inside of her mouth as the two were kissing. As she sucked on his bottom lip, he smiled, attempting to give her more room, but in the process falling onto his back, "Oof...." he said as he thumped his head onto the ground, but it seemed to not hurt him, a smile upon his face the entire time.

Wolfe noted the flirty tone, he was not used to it, but he had to admit internally, he got a kick out of it. He grinned, "Yeah.... Almost got her too...." he said, fading out at the end, not really sure what to say after this. Indeed she was beautiful, and pieces of her far outdid the brunette, but he was not about to admit it, and before he had to say anything else, a breath released him from that responsability.

Sylus, the normally untalkative one with the sensative side, jumped down from the roof with ease and landed without a problem. At this point he had indeed removed the armor, all that was left was clothing he found around the village, he chose not to wear a shirt. He spoke of nothing until he walked up to Wolfe and dragged him along and pushed him until the two were eye to eye, people watched in awe at the odd scene. "Tell me miss..... How much of yourself do you see in this man.... And how much do you see in this woman Wolfe?" Wolfe felt this to be very awkward, and Sylus obviously didn't know a think about personal space, the two were barely an inch away. Normally, he didn't have a problem with getting this close to girls, but she.... She was different. The only reason was because Sylus was right, the two seemed to be living the same lives at the opposite sides of the gender pool. He was not about to admit that though, so he scratched the back of his head, "Sylus.... Why don't you go sit alone like you normally do..." Sylus was only there for that purpose, indeed he had thought it was funny, but he found it stunning that the two did not see their similarities. Sylus seemed to be polar opposite of the two of them, while Wolfe and this girl seemed to fit so well in social situations, Sylus waited for the social situations to get to him for the post part. He was soft spoken, but he carried a big stick if you got into his face. Sylus did as he was told for now, walking away in any random direction.

Cara giggled a bit as Nex fell, her falling on top of him, since she had been leaning against him, not that she minded. She didn't want him to bear all of her weight, so she put her weight on her knees, and her knees on the grass, now straddling Nex. She leaned back down to kiss him again, just a quick, gentle kiss, before trailing kisses up along his jaw, then down down his neck. Her hands were gently trailing along his chest, his stomach, one of her hands daring to dip a bit lower.

The blonde woman waited for the man who had seemed to think her and this.. rude, yet somehow attractive, man humorous to get over to them. She was surprised to find herself eye to eye with Wolfe, their faces about an inch apart, but her chest was a bit closer than an inch. She blushed a bit, something that she never did, cursing mentally. What was with this guy? However, she found the question interesting. They did seem... pretty alike.. but she wasn't going to agree to that. She watched the man walk away, her eyes trailing after him before she turned back to Wolfe. She was at a loss of words, not quite sure what to say after that. "Vienna." she stated simply. "My name's Vienna. Call my Via." she said, offering a grin. She found that a good thing to say, she already knew his name, he should know hers.

Nex relaxed with his back to the soft grass, smiling and returning her quick kiss as she moved in closer. He eagerly accepted her hands as they ran along his chest, but he caught one hand taking a chance. Nex gasped, he was a man for adventure, but he wasn't sure that this was the best course of action. He understandably stopped her in her tracks and tilted his head up to hers, "Cara... You are being a bit.... Naughty... Aren't you?" He asked playfully, unsure of her intentions because they were outside.

Sylus was not effected by attraction, a woman would have to come to him, he already decided on that internally. Sylus had no problem waiting, he was not a man who ran on love. However, he did run on compassion. He loved all life around him, not in an awkward way, but in a special way. He had his own views on how life should be treated though, that is why he believed that eliminating the earth was justified, he knew that nobody would understand his reasoning... But he.... He had felt that all being for naught just a few minutes ago, his mind was on other things, not on this party. He stepped a good distance away, leaning against one of the gates as he usually did.

Wolfe backed away an acceptable distance away from her, not wanting to make this any more awkward. "And I suppose you already know.... But my name is Wolfe. It is a..... Pleasure to meet you.' he paused for a moment, reaching out for a cup of water, he took a sip of it and held it out to her, wondering if she wanted a drink as well, he was normally one for much conversation, but in this case, he could not gather much in himself in terms of speaking. He finally broke the awkward silence, "So.... Are you a pilot, a gunner, what purpose do you serve in the fleet?" He was curious, wondering if she had her own ship, and knowing that he probably would bring an explosion of conversation between the two of them if they had being a pilot in common.

Cara quickly removed her hand, when he gasp, not wanting to make him uncomfortable. Her face flushed a little, a blush rising, and she quickly got off of him, turning her face as if to hide it. Her thoughts had gotten off track, wondering back to last night. She had completely forgotten where they were, what they were doing, and it was true, when she thought about it. She had been thinking rather naughtily.. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her thoughts a bit, hoping he wouldn't take what she did the wrong way. "Sorry.. I.. My thoughts drifted back to last night. I just got carried away.." she replied, slowly and softly.

Vienna exhaled a breath she hadn't known she'd been holding when he backed away. What was with her tonight? She frowned. Of course, she already knew that answer. She had met the guy, just like her, though male. That had done something to her, though she wasn't sure what yet. She grinned, and nodded. "Nice to meet you too.." she said in reply, letting the silence come in again. She couldn't help but feel the awkwardness, and when he broke the silence, she was actually glad. "Pilot.." she said, then paused. "While I'm on my own ship. Of course, if I happen to be on a larger one, I can take the gunner position up." she shrugged, then turned the question back at him. "What are you?"

Nex's thoughts flashed back to the last time they had made love as well, he blushed, knowing that the two of them were thinking on the same topic. Nex didn't hold it against her, if she hadn't started, Nex probably would have been the one to push it. He smiled, rolling over to her and giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Don't feel bad, we all have those urges, if it wasn't you, it probably would have been me..." he said with a smile on his face, trying to make it all better, his head kneeling down and resting his head at her shoulder. "mmm.... I could sleep like this...." he said quietly.

Wolfe smiled, knowing that they finally had a topic of conversation he could brag about. He grinned a bit, looking up to the sky, " I own three ships as of now... One of them is a star ship, and I own a frigate as well.... Not to mention a fighter, I brought the star ship with me here, it transported 15 people, but can house up to 200 people if we were able to get the numbers, which it might have to..." He said, looking around at the destroyed town, he turned back toward her, "I'm sorry for the destruction of this planet.... It must be hard for you to go through these things.' he said, knowing that she lived here and thought it would be good to at least show some compassion.

Cara smiled softly as he kissed her cheek, feeling a bit better about her sudden daring touch. She relaxed as his head lay against her shoulder, and then let out a soft sigh. She was about to reveal a subject she had never talked much about. "Nex.. I've only that urge twice.. once last night and once just now." she said softly. This might sound odd, if he noticed, seeing as she wasn't 'new' to making love per say, and her age might be another factor to that weirdness. Cara didn't say much more on the subject, and she wouldn't unless she was questioned on it, gently kissing the side of Nex's head.

Vienna raised her eyebrows, impressed. Then again, what had she expected, a lone fighter like she owned? "I only own a fighter, myself." she said simply. "I.. I'm still saving up and getting parts for a starship." her voice faded off there, as it got quiet between the two again momentarily. Via smiled softly at his sympathy, which had admittedly surprised her a little, but she was grateful for it. "It.. It is hard." she spoke softly, something out of character. "After 12 years a person kinda gets used to it, though.." she finished, chuckling a bit, grimly.

Nex was a bit shocked that she brought up the subject, wondering why the subject was brought up anyway. Nex placed a hand on her cheek and lifted his head up to meet her gaze. "Hmmm... Well.... I don't have an immense amount of experience myself.... But.... It doesn't matter, all that matters is that I'm with you.... now...." he said, not caring for her past experiences, only the here and now. But if she wanted to talk about it and it meant something to her, it would quickly mean something to him.

Wolfe nodded, "Yeah, it took me years before I was able to get my first starship... Although being a Maverick kind of helped that. I took a few dangerous jobs, nearly lost my head, but in the end it was all worth it." He said, proud of his past experiences, looking up in the direction of his ship for the moment. But his head went back down to her, he fronwed, not very good in these situations. "Well.... Hopefully I'm able to help it so you will no longer have to suffer through this.... Me... And everyone...." he looked back in the direction of Sylus, noting he had already walked off. But if its anything that is our ground force.... Well..... It has to be Sylus... That guy is unholy in his actions. I don't know where he got his powers...." he said, almost in fear of what he was capable of.... Tearing that ank in half withs in own force.

Cara then quietted down, simply nodding in response. As usual, when awkward subjects were brought up, painful memories came with them, another reason she wouldn't talk at the present time. However, she felt as though... Nex had told his whole story to her, revealed what happened between him and Pyrus. It made her feel as though she'd left it unsaid for too long. "The other times, it wasn't willingly." she said softly, voice fading out at the end. She wished to no further discuss the subject, now that she'd finally brought it up.

Vienna laughed softly at his first comment, his shortened story of how he got his star ship. He seemed a bit braggy about it, but that just told her that he cherished his ship, flying.. Much like she did. She nodded, laughter and happy emotion stripped from her face at his next comment, though it did make him gain a bit of respect in her eyes. "Tell me.. why is this planet so important to you? It can't be because of your friend's beloved ship parts?" she asked, genuinely curious. Twelve years of nothing but torture to her unknowing undeveloped planet, and then suddenly a large force of Mavericks appears out of nowhere. Anyone would be asking that same question as her.
