Sylus knew exactly what he was going to do in this upcoming battle, the problem was that she didn't know what it was going to be. No Mercy, A warrior cannot be merciful. His eyes filled with a great concern as she stopped and she took a change in expression. He placed a hand on her cheek and tilted her face up towards his. "What is wrong Vienna?" he asked, his voice full of the same concern that his eyes were.
Nex's eyes widened for a moment. "I didn't think Sylus was really capable of such an emotion with the way he was acting all of the time... But Vienna seemed to grow attatched to him pretty quickly. I'm glad they found each other... But...." He paued, a bit nervous about saying what came Nex, "Sylus has plans to slaughter all of his enemies... and with his current mindset in battle.... Vienna might hesitate and end up watching all of her old friend.... And your old friends and father.... Be torn in a flurry of needles... Cheng Yu told me himself his father was never one to hold back in a fight of any kind..." |
Vienna looked up at Sylus momentarily, a blank expression upon her face, before her gaze returned to where it had been, the bed they were currently on. Her feelings inside were set upon this one problem, but she knew it would pain her to say what was coming next. "During battle.. if put between a choice of people of this planet, and IAP, I ask you to take either the latter if both is not possible. I would like the greet my old comrades on the battlefield myself." Her voice seemed a bit disconnected, it was rather strong compared to the look in her eyes. She doubted Sylus, her love, of all people, after witnessing his strength, would think much before such decisions. However, she felt it necessary to ask this of him, thus were her feelings. The group that had followed after her uncle; her friends, family, old comrades.. she felt this was her job to clean up. Little did she know Cara's feelings were the same during her talk with Nex.
Cara nodded in agreement. "I don't expect any less of him, and will be highly disappointed if less is shown." This comment would most likely be a surprise to him, or she thought it would be so, so she decided to explain this further. "My old friends, members of my family who have chosen to fight against us.. I care not for them. I.. I do admit it will be hard accepting it, but if you believe Vienna to be one to hesitate, you do not know her well. As for myself, I will mourn later.." she said softly, knowing her cousin's strength in situations as this were stronger than her own. Cara could not promise to not hesitate, but it would only be for a moment. She would kill each and every one of them, if given the chance, but of course, it would kill her inside to do so. |
Sylus listened with open ears to her words, knowing it was going to be hard to see her old comrades die in the battlefield, he kept his arms around her as she spoke. He kissed her on the forehead and thought for a long time of how to respond to this. "Maybe we can convince some of them to come back.... With whatever it takes... Fear, negotiations.... As for the lizard..." he thought back to his past, he had seen many like him before... Not a friendly bunch to him, and the way the lizard attempted to hurt Vienna... "I would be happy to slit his throat myself... I'm sure Nex feels the same directed toward Pyrus...." This was all he said, but he wanted to add one more thing, "In this battle... I will not.... I cannot hold anything back."
"They had made an unfortunate decision... And although it will be hard to accept... Its going to have to happen. I'm sorry it turned out this way... If there was any way I could turn them back... I would jump on the idea..." Nex sighed, holding her close and thinking to how it will hurt everyone a bit to kill the people they had intended to help.... He wonderered what was going on down there. I'm waiting for you.... Sylus's eyes were engulfed entirely with black, there were no pupils and the eyes were still there, but they were entirely black. He fell limp upon the bed, something was wrong. |
Vienna shook her head slowly at his first comment. "They will not be welcomed, I will tell you that much. Even if few did come, they would not be welcomed." She waited until he finished speaking before responding this time, the ghost of a smiled coming to her face. "Be my guest.. I.. I do not expect anything less of you." she had seen the way he fought before, and he did not seem the type for mercy nor hesitation. She found comfort in his arms, and the kiss upon her head, comfort that she had not know she had needed.
as Vienna had, Cara shook her head. "I do not want them back. They are the IAP's to take. They are no friends nor family of mine." she said rather coldly, something definitely out of character for her. She, at the moment, both cared for, and despised that group that had made the 'unfortunate decision'. Vienna froze at the sudden lack of live in her love. "Sylus?" she asked cautiously, bending over to look at his limp form. She inhaled sharply, seeing the out-of-place blackness in his eyes. What should se do? Get Yu? But should she really just... leave him here? |
Nex heard a loud thump in a room not too far from the two of them. He turned toward that direction, knowing that it was coming form the direction of Sylus's room. And it didn't sound too good. A voice echoed out soon after, sounding so eerie... It caused his bones to chill. What was this feeling?
A great chill filled the room which Sylus and Vienna stood within, Sylus began to shake violently. So violently that he fell off of the bed and hit the metal floor with a thump and a twang. He continued to shake agains that floor, losing all control as it seemed he was having a seizure upon the floor. "Vienna.... Vienna..." A sickening laughter echoed outward from the walls. It wasn't long after this that a set of footsteps could be heard in the distance. "Go back... Turn back.... Or you will just become another one of the poor souls that had been driven to oblivion by Sylus. There is no love... There is no love...." The footsteps grew louder and the temperature continued to drop as the footsteps grew louder. "You will only be destroyed there... And all for Nex's silly blue ship... He doesn't care... Nobody cared... You are another scab..." The footsteps finally grew so loud that it was evident he was on the other side of the door. Just then, the footsteps stopped, replaced by a heavy breathing that could be heard on the other side of the door. The door grew a coating of frost, the temperature dropping so low that she would need to wrap up in order to keep herself from shivering. But there was no time for that, the diesmbodied voice grew the last thing it needed to come true, a face. The face poked its way through the door, as though it was a spirit of some kind. First, it was a little girl... But something stranged happened to that face. It was engulfed by static and replaced by the face of an old man. It repeated the same process being replaced by the faces of several space pirates, lizard-men, people from her planet, even people she knew, Cara, Nex, and it finally stopped on one that would hit home. Sylus. As the form similar to Sylus walked entirely in the room, his body followed with the changes in static as well. "So... You are Sylus's new love interest.... I will regret to inform you that most of his love interests never live to see the first week.... You won't be far behind if you continue this emotion.... Such love.... It can cause people to do things... Stupid reckless things that ruin my plans. Your pitiful existance is a threat to me..." The static form changed into her face temporarily, a devilish smile coming upon the monster's face. "I will give you time to decide.... In one week If i see you still snuggly wrapped within his grip... Lets just say that the last thing you will feel is my cold embrace of death... And if you anger me... I might just decide to shorten the time...." He released a laugh that sounded as though it was muffled through a bad microphone connection. "So hurry..... Hurry..... Hurry....." That was the last that the monster said before he vanished in a blinding flash of static, a loud crack echoing through the ship that would wake everyone up and have them wonder exactly what had happened. Sylus stopped his seizure, Only to start shivering from the cold which only stayed within this room for a few minutes. He could not move his legs, he still felt them to be numb, so he simply wrapped his arms around his bare chest, attempting to gather what limited warmth left in his body. |
Vienna was never one for horror stories. Perhaps, that may be why she was driven to tears by the mere calling of her name in the eery voice that seemed to be coming from everywhere at the same time.. and worse, it echoed. She was not sure what to do at the time, just watch helplessly as he love seized on he floor. As the temperature dropped, she began to shiver rather violently, and took it upon her to move onto the floor, pulling the comforter from the bed and wrapping it around both herself and the unconscious Sylus. She listened, not very intimidated nor impressed with this.. thing. Whatever or whoever it was. Until it grew a face. In fact, many faces, all of which caused her to shiver, until it reached Sylus'. That creature in her love's form threatening her... even though she knew better, that her Sylus would not do such a thing as this, that her true love was next to her... it messed with her. It may as well have just ripped her heartstrings in one blow. But slowly at the same time.
After this experience, Vienna sat there for quite some time. Traumatized. She would not leave Sylus... no matter what they had to say, her love for him could not be taken away nor tampered with. However, she knew, by the end of the week, death seemed to be awaiting her. This thoughts, as it would any other human being, scared her speechless. All she could do as her love awoke was wrap him in the comforter, attempting to block the cold and provide him warmth. Her thoughts raced, the one main question buzzing in her head. Was that... Genesis? |
Sylus shivered greatly and gripped onto the only thing that had meant anything to him within the past day. Vienna, this was what she was warned about, the horror that was Genesis which hovered over their heads this day. Sylus's eyes turned to normal finally, Genesis had done with once before with his last love... He dropped his guard for one seconds and Genesis took advantage of it... Only that time he killed the woman without any strings attatched. He felt himself suddenly able to move, and in repsonse he curled up into a ball in her arms. He feared that this would happen, feared that Genesis would try and take his love away. He gripped onto her as though he was trying to take his love away right now.
Nex ran to the room quickly, feeling the cold which was still fresh upon the door, he opened it quickly, seeing the partially frozen couple upon the floor. "What happened in here, something dark just spoke in this room... What was it?" He said in questsions while he saw Sylus's hidden by the comforter and his lover's body. |
Cara was close behind Nex, entering the room shortly after him, and shivering once she had done so. She spotted the couple, and immediately went wide eyed. Sylus in such a state? And... Vienna?! "Via?" she asked quietly. She had never seen her cousin with that look upon her face. Pure fear, though muffled by her attempt to act calm. This was something that never came to her face, and thus, Cara's mind was racked. What the hell happened in here?
Vienna stayed quiet, dismissing the two others' presence. Her focus was on Sylus, her love, that which she knew she would be taken form, and soon. This, she knew, but yet, she would lie. She would comfort him, and try to 'make everything better'. Her arms were firm around him, holding him close against her as he curled into a ball. She placed a gently, quick kiss to the side of his head. "This changes nothing.." she whispered softly, hoping to calm him a bit. "We knew it was coming, we shouldn't be surprised." |
Sylus did not fear Genesis personally, however, he did fear for Vienna. He knew that wouldn't effect her though... She was just as strong as he had wanted from a woman, Sylus just failed to see that from the beginning. He continued to shake lightly against her, holding her just at tightly as she held him. He felt comforted as she kissed him, simply responding with a nodd as the other two presences in the room were ignored. A third presence would not be ignored.
Cheng Yu walked slowly through the halls, toward the new room which held Sylus and Vienna within. He walked toward that room and stood at the doorway, gazing into the room which the four of them was within. "Something happened here..... You can still feel the cold on the door..." He placed his hand on the front door and moved witin the room, his eyes going to Sylus. "I thought that he was dead... But I guess the rumors were true.... Genesis has risen again." |
Vienna continues to hold him, even as the third person entered their room. Her hold on him tightened a bit at Cheng Yu's comment. She had known this, but just hearing the name... 'Genesis' sent a bit of a shiver rolling down her spine. She, of course, tried to hide this from teh group as she turned to face them, and arm still around Sylus, whom she felt needed the comfort.
cara noticed the cold as well, but hadn't thought as far as it to meaning something. Who was Genesis? What does he mean by 'risen again'? Her eyes then went to Vienna, silently yearning to go comfort her friend. What was that unfamiliar fear in her eyes? She stayed quiet as well, figuring that she would just ask later.. at a better time. |
Sylus looked up to his son for a moment, still within the arms of his lover. "How was I to know that he would survive that kind of a blast...?" Cheng Yu looked upon Sylus, knowing that Genesis has been haunting him for ages and this was the second time he had threatened his love. Sylus would not go down easily this time, with his heightened experience and his new-found love.... It would not be a repeat performance. However, Cheng Yu was still unsure of what he had provoked again, knowing that Genesis only came from fear of the strength of love. Genesis liked to brag about being the one with no fear... After all he had seen so many obstacles in his life that it was as if he had lived many lifetimes that didn't belong to him. Cheng Yu responded with this information in mind, "Sometimes.... Destruction is not always the answer... Father." Cheng Yu spoke to Sylus in using the actual word father for the first time in years. Sylus was shocked that he had actually heard his son say that, there had been a few years that he had actually denied having a father in Sylus, but now seemed different. "You know as well as I do that with Genesis.... The only solution would be with total annihilation."
Nex spoke up, annoyed with this and highly confused. "I think it would benefit us all if someone actually told us who Genesis was..." Cheng Yu turned toward Nex, taking it of himself to tell him. "Genesis is the first real attempt on earth of creating the world's first super-soldier. This soldier was beyond all that had been imagined before, the people who created it knew that as soon as it would be born that it would be unstop-able. They had created the creature with emotions... His own thought and mind.... His own wishes. Genesis can shapeshift, he can bend time and space around him to a certain degree, and he has powers of telekinesis that rival that of even Sylus... However.... He is very inexperienced compared to someone as Sylus, but still a very dangerous and unstable man." Cheng Yu looked at Sylus for a moment, knowing everything was true and as soon as the two had fallen in love that the secret would not last much longer. Genesis would know... "... Genesis also has a very strong link of mind with Sylus. The two cannot control each other in any way, but as soon as Genesis felt any ounce of joy coming from the link between the two of them, he must have grown suspicious and started an investigation... In which he had found you Vienna.... The first time he fell in love... Sylus crushed the man that was closest to Genesis after an attempted assassination... and Genesis found the true horror from the power that love can generate." He paused, finally explaining why the two had a grudge and were at each other's throats, but he finally added one final statement to this. "The two have never directly fought however.... Because there is a catch to their strong mind link... If one kills the other, they both die where they stand." |
Vienna stayed silent, unlistening to most of the conversation. Her main concern was comforting Sylus at this point, the problem of Genesis wasn't the top of her priorities. Though hearing him being explained to Cara and Nex made her have to contain yet another shiver. The last comment from Yu, however, did scare her horrendously. "How would we get rid of Genesis without..?" Her eyes went to her love, unsure of how to finish that. Of course, the obvious way to fil the rest of that question would be 'without killing Sylus?' but she couldn't muster the strength to say that. Not after finally falling in love. Not after the sweet, yet short, moments they shared together.
Cara had to admit she was a bit nervous about hearing ofthis 'Genesis' person. Strength matching that of Sylus'? And how are we supposed to get rid of him? We couldn't... Her eyes went to the couple on the floor, shaking her head a small bit. We couldn't. |
Cheng Yu was unable to finish before she blurted something out, "Notice my words.... If they kill each other it will result in the deaths of both of them... However... If you get your hands on someone just as strong as Genesis... I only know of one being who died a long time ago... Back before earth was destroyed even. He was a young boy who really didn't amount to much in his own life... But that is a story for another time..."
Sylus pulled himself somewhat upward, he had calmed down from how he was earlier. His arms were still around Vienna though, he sighed. "I suppose you all want to know exactly what Genesis is... After all... I am kind of the expert on this and the information might help if we ever have to encounter him in battle... However, it is a very long story..." He said, looking up at the two for a minute as he wondered if they wondered to hear it. |
Vienna instantly felt a bit foolish about speaking out like that. Yu wouldn't really kill his father, would he? It seemed out of character of him.. in her mind, anyways. She kept an arm around Sylus, but shifted a bit so she was situated in a position that allowed her to face the others as well as her love.
Cara nodded slowly at his, almost offer, for more information on Genesis. It may be helpful. Especially if cara foud herself to be one to help in comforting her friend's fear in this... 'Genesis' person. If you would call it a person. She shrugged this thought off as she took another step into the room, sitting on the end of the bed Vienna and Sylus had previously been on. If it was going to be a long story, she may as well sit down. |
Sylus sighed, not really wanting to tell this long of a story, he was not used to so much attention. "I'll shorten some of the parts that Vienna has already heard...." He paused for a moment, taking a deep breath, "Lets start from the beginning... Genesis...
Sylus pulled out a notebook from all of his travels and flipped open to the first page. The Beginning of All... In the distant past it was said that God had created the universe. The heavens, the earth, the various planets surrounding it. God was said to give this planet life, giving it a landscape and creating something within his own image to roam about the land. God created animals of all shapes and sizes, but the one thing that was in his own image seemed to have more complexity than anything else. The original belief was that the god, or gods, created Adam and Eve. But I know for a fact that this was only some story to make people believe that God opposed same sex relationships. But the truth was that there was no male or female human fossil dating back to that time. However, there was a different type of fossil that seemed to lack a sex, yet had the general shape of a human. The Scientist dubbed this creature to be known as Genesis. They were beyond baffled, everything they had been teaching about evolution was tossed out of the window, they had to think of a new way to describe this creature... And for their limited technology they came up with a few ideas. 1. Genesis was a being from another planet. 2. Genesis was a being that somehow had hyper-evolved 3. Genesis was the 'Adam and Eve' that God created After studying the fossil for several years they had found out another thing which baffled them greatly. The human-like creature had only lasted 4 seconds upon the earth before dying on the spot of its birth. This threw the first suggestion out the window yet had brought up so many more questions. I personally do not know how Genesis was born... But he was meant to do pure evil in his second life. I had heard somewhere that Genesis was bought by a rich man who had an unhealthy obsession with Christianity. He started a cult using the book known as the "One Truth", trying to make people believe that there was a god who had created genesis only so he could place the two genders upon the earth for future purposes. He had gained many followers... But It quickly dissolved when the remains were stolen by a group known as the Red Dragon. At the time technology had grown by leaps and bounds within China, so they simply moved the fossil to China and began tests for what they would call Reverse Fossilization at the time. After many attempts at this horrid idea and many new lives thrown into the ocean, they had finally created a stable creature. A creature would was known as Genesis GX97. It was made for one purpose, to exploit the massive amount of energy that Genesis was believed to have hold. It was a long shot, but they had believed that the energy had come straight from the gods. They were putting all their faith into a rumor. It came through, Genesis was not born for more than 23 minutes before he tore through the lab. Sylus pulled out a newspaper clipping that said Dark Figure kills 41 in cold Blood at the Yukizano Research Facility. The rest of the paper simply asked the basic questions and describe the gruesomeness of the murders. Who or what could have done this... Man found hanging by his own intestines... We couldn't have imagined the suffering... Sylus Continued Beyond that the major world powers thought little of this, thinking it was best that something like Genesis was left out of the picture. After all, they did not want the idea of free thought coming upon them at the horizon. Not more than a few years later I was taken by the government for testing... This is where I had first met Genesis. Through a torn world after I had escaped the lab he had forced me in for 20 long years I searched the land for all the information I could find. I had found little, but it will all be remembered in this book. Please.... If there is someone else that can find this book... I want you to do what I could not have done...End Genesis, Don't tell the world what he has done to me.... Sylus paused, realizing that the rest of this information was not needed, it simply described as to how the two were mind linked. Sylus seemed entirely done, but he added one final things. "To make matters worse.... If I hadn't existed from the start... Genesis wouldn't have existed. My DNA is within the new genesis as well.... The US thought nothing of it and traded a fresh sample to the red dragon for a large sum of cash... And because of our telekinetic abilities... We are forever linked on mind, body, and soul. If we were ever to attempt to actually fight... It would mean the end of us both. And I have been hunting him for years..... Not caring for my own life.... What can I do now?" He looked to Vienna, wondering if this whole thing was a mistake yet again. "I.... I don't want to leave this realm... I have a reason to stay.... But if we are unable to find a way to stop him within 7 days... I will have no choice but to take him out myself." |
Vienna's eyes drifted from sylus as he spoke, focusing on nothing in particular other than her own thoughts. And her thoughts were plentiful after all of this information. The only being that seemed to have that much power was Sylus, whom, of course, would be the last person she would wish to fight Genesis. But who else would? At his last comment, her thoughts went further downhill, to teh point that, if there was further conversation, she would never notice until her thoughts had fully cleared. It was then that she made a decision. On the morning of teh 7th day, she would leave to find Genesis. If sylus were to die, she would let Genesis take her before him.
Cara stayed quiet for quite some time after hearing the full, or what seemed like the full story. Her thoughts, too, were plentiful, but hers were a bit more focused. Focused on something that Yu had spoken of earlier. Her eyes slowly moved until her gaze rested upon Yu now, making it clear that her question was directed at him. "There was a being you spoke of earlier.. 'a young boy who really didn't amount to much in his own life'.. Would you care to tell teh story?" she asked, rather set on finding a solution to this. Yes, it did seem highly impossible in ehr mind already, but she was sure, if Sylus would go through with his 7 day warning, Vienna would want to go out before him. She wouldn't allow this. |
Sylus ended his story, noting that Vienna had lost focus and was now drifting off in her own thoughts. Sylus gave her a gentle hug with one arm, letting her know that he was still there. All eyes turned to Yu shortly after, it was Yu's turn to tell his own story. However, it was nowhere near as long as the story that came from Sylus's mouth.
Yu remembered the young boy like it was yesterday, "Ah yes.... That boy.... He was a bit of an ignorant fool back when I knew him... But unless you are able to travel back before he had died... There is no hope... However, this boy was Sylus's younger brother. The boy had a fixation with spiking his hair and wearing baggy clothing. He constantly had headphones over his ears and he almost never cared for what people said... At least that is how Sylus had described him..." Sylus nodded, "I told you about my brother a long time ago... Why do you think it will help us now? We cannot travel in time..." Yu nodded, "Unless we find a time machine... There is nothing we can do... I shall simply have to fight him myself to be sure that he does not hurt anyone else... Back at Earth I was a coward... I will not make that mistake again... There is nobody that can defeat Genesis but me." Yu sighed, "You are forgetting the people around you... Do not think that the people within here do not have the strength to fight Genesis themselves... Nothing is ever easily won if it is worth taking." Sylus said nothing, he did not think everyone was weak... He just did not want to see people hurt again. |
Cara listened to the story closely, paying more attention to the words than the actual storyline. It was the words he had said earlier, when he had first mentioned the boy, that had gotten her thinking. But what was it? She was frustrated with this, something she remembered, but not fully. Her gaze went to Vienna, hoping she would remember.
Vienna felt eyes on her, and she slowly moved her gaze from Sylus to Vienna. "There was a girl..." she started, also unsure of who or what exactly she was. This sparked the lost memory in Cara's mind. "She was gifted. I'm not sure if she's strong per say." She paused there, not sure how to go on. Vienna cut in again. "Xander's mother." Cara got up from where she was sitting at this point, needing to stand to think straight. Yes, she now remembered this. The girl would juggle for hours on end, standing in the same place. However, she was blind, and... she never touched the fruit she would use. An odd girl. However, if she would help, it may have some advantage.... who knew. |
Nex rose an eyebrow, wondering exactly how this would help them at all. A juggling girl that would stand in one place for a long time? Nex looked at the two women for a moment, questions in his eyes. "What could a blind juggler really do to help us? Even if she is a gifted individual... We are talking about someone who could destroy something who destroys planets in his spare time and bends time and space to his will with the rest of his time... What makes you so sure that she could help us?"
Cheng Yu looked at him for a moment, deciding to tell him a story which might give some support to both Cara's and Veinna's ideas. "I used to live on a planet full of great warriors... It has been a long time since I have actually been there. But I remember a blind farm boy which had a great ability to sense the movements of life through his body, He could locate a man who was anywhere on the planet if he was alive... He also had the ability to summon creatures from the beyond. He was doubted several times... Yet later in his life he became to be known as something of an oracle.upon that planet. He still lives to this day... I wonder how the boy is doing?" He lost his train of thought for a moment, but then he realized he was stalling. "Ah... Well... Gifted could mean many things, most likely from her current state in lacking vision she has heightened senses within other areas." Sylus knew of this well, after all, there was a long period in his time after earth in which he could not hear. The 'advancements' he had obtained during that time still stay with him today. He could feel movement within the earth, if there was a man walking within about a mile of him he could tell the man's weight and height. And if the man was very heavy he could go as far as 2 miles. Tanks, Jeeps, other vehicles were the same for him as well. "Where would this blind juggler be now?" Was all that Sylus asked, looking up at his lover and then over at Cara for answers. |
Cara frowned a bit at Nex's doubt. She was sure she hadn't mentioned the juggling bit... but then again, she spoke her mind without realizing it sometimes. She remained quiet after this, now starting to doubt this idea herself. Then again... After listening to Yu's story, she nodded a bit. Just to herself. The woman had predicted things that no one else had saw coming.. the space pirate's sudden invasion of their planet. When they locked her up, she escaped with ease, the men who had guarded her had had all of the bones in their body broken. It as at Sylus' question that she finally looked up again. "I am not sure..."
Vienna rose an eyebrow at Cara. Why must she doubt herself because of her love's opinion? She shook her head at Cara's answer to Sylus' question. "Not necessarily. She is Xander's mother.. Why do we not take this question to him?" If this woman would not help them with Genesis, she would be of some kind of help. Vienna was set on this opinion, and to say the least, she could be rather stubborn. |
Sylus looked up to the two of them, this was not a good sign for Cara. She had become more weak because of Nex, from what he saw she would not move much without Nex's support, he did not want the same to happen to Vienna. She was a strong woman, and Sylus would hate himself if he would even come close to changing that in her. Nex didn't really like the reaction as well.
Nex spoke up soon afterwords, "I believe it is a rather good idea... I had no idea your planet had such gifted individuals." Nex said honestly, although he still had internal doubts despite her gifts. "I think we should seek her out." Sylus lifted his head up to meet with Veinna's eyes, "I am not so sure that Xander would be keen on the idea of throwing his mother into the fray of this chaos... I do not know the man personally but I believe if we do not tell him and his mother the whole story behind this then we will suffer great consequences later on." |
Cara noted that Nex didn't seem all to happy with her sudden doubt. Not a good move on her part. Cara listened, without responding to, Nex's comment, simply nodding a bit. Her planet wasn't much at the moment, but there were few who were very gifted. One of which she had just spoken of. She perked up a bit again, at the mention of Xander's feelings on this. "Xander respects his mother's opinion greatly. If we tell him we are in need of her help, he will at least let her answer to this before he shows any disapproval.. He may also be the only person who knows where she is." Vienna shot a meaningful look at Cara. "Err- Shall I go get him?" she asked, motioning the question more towards Yu and Sylus than Nex. She respected her love's opinion, but that fact that she changed her own opinion because of his scared her a bit. This was something she would try to prevent in the future.

Cheng Yu and Sylus looked at each other for a moment, Yu felt out of place and Sylus wondered why the situation was still lingering along. Nex just stood there, deciding he would talk to Cara about this later. "Xander has to be somewhere on this ship, either in the room I had assigned him or somewhere in the lobby of the ship... I will go get him." Yu walked his way out of the room, calling for Xander as he traveled down the hallway with the many rooms until he would eventually get to the lobby if Xander was not at the rooms he had passed.
Sylus placed the comforter back onto the bed. He was very quiet at this point, only wanting to rest for the upcoming battle. It was all that he could do at this point, as he thought. Although he wanted to rest with Vienna now that he had gotten the chance. He wanted to do many things with Vienna, however his voice refused to ask those questions in the things to do. He felt that it would be best to let things happen on their own. Nex said nothing, just awaiting the return of Xander and Yu. |
Cara let out a soft sigh as Yu left, staying quiet as she did so. She was confused at the moment.. confused as to why she suddenly doubted herself, why things seemed to have gone so wrong. With all this confusion, she knew better than to think she would be of any help at the moment. Especially with explaining things to Xander. She would leave this to the others, for the sake of his own clarity in this situation. Without a word, she left the room.
Vienna's eyes stayed upon Cara, who seemed to be in great confusion. She hadn't the slightest clue as to why, but she knew Xander would need at least someone he knew to be there to ask for the help of his mother. Otherwise, he may not comply. She stayed quiet as Cara left, only getting up to sit upon the bed once Sylus had placed the comforter back into place. Xander let out a quiet groan as he heard his voice being called from the hallways. He almost wanted to dismiss this as merely a voice inside his head, but he knew better. Getting up, he made his way to the door, opening it to find Yu but feet away. "Yes?" he asked, curious as to why he was being summoned. |
Nex decided to speak up, knowing that it would be best to do this sooner rather than later. "Cara.... If you believe in something... No matter what it is, don't ever doubt yourself because of anybody... Not even me. I was just wondering how it was possible... Its hard to believe after all. But i don't want you to doubt yourself ever because of me..."
Sylus listened to Nex, he had wondered what had happened between the two that seemed to make Nex hold some authority in her mind on whatever she said, but it seemed to remedy itself right now. Sylus felt the bed adjust as Vienna sat next to him, he smiled, liking the fact that she was close to him again. Yu heard the voice coming from the distance, calling back out to him. "We... Me, Sylus, Cara, Vienna, and Nex.... Need you for something... It regards your mother and her gift. We have stumbled across something that might hinder our mission greatly... Something that might require assistance from someone gifted like your mother." |
