Cara paused where she stood, not quite sure what to say in the presence of Sylus and Vienna. This was definitely not something she wished to discuss with the audience of others. "It's not because of you, I can assure you that.. I've been doubting myself a lot for the past day.. I just wish to think." She then continued out of the room, heading down the hallway opposite to that of which Yu had headed down. She wished to be alone.. she needed to think.
Vienna grinned as she noticed Sylus smiling again, her hands finding one of his and holding it as they sat there. It was when Cara left when she chose to speak up, knowing Nex may need a piece of mind. "She has been through a lot the past day... I believe we all have. However, all of what she knew of most of her past life, may as well have been a lie. It's not too surprising that she's chosen now to doubt herself.. give her time." Xander hesitated in his doorway at the mention of his mother. His expression took on that of confusion, before he walked over to where Yu was standing. "I'm not sure of what you wish for her to do.. I will take you to her, if you wish.. However, this will call for further explanation when I do." |
Nex was about to follow, but upon the talking of Vienna he decided it would be best to stay there. Thinking even longer he decided to walk to his own room, "I have to be alone as well...." he said, walking in an opposite direction away from Cara and the group and Cara.
Sylus took hold her hand hand back and watched Nex as he stepped out of the room. This was probably going to raise some questions when the other two came back, but he knew everyone needed silent time to think at this point. He squeezed Vienna's hand, smiling at her yet again. Cheng Yu decided to tell him the story along the way. "I am not sure if you have heard of the clone of Genesis being released upon the earth... If you haven't I would like to tell you a story on this..." If he had it he would just repeat Sylus's story as he had heard it the first time. Telling everything from Genesis's birth to the current situation yet again and leading him along, only stopping when they reached the door to Sylus's room. "We think your mother could hold the answer to this..." |
Cara found herself in the cargo hold which Sylus had previously been in earlier with Vienna. Finding it to be a quiet place, apart from everyone, she sat down, not caring much for the cold steel of the wall against the bare skin of her back. She would stay here for quite some time, thinking.
Vienna also watched Nex leave with before her attention was again turned to Sylus, who had squeezed her hand. She also smiled, returning the squeeze with a gentle one of her own. regardless of the current situation, finding Xanders mother, she was scared. However, she would not show this, as now they had a bit of time to relax. Xander followed Yu along the hallway, listening to the story in deep thought. He knew his mother more than most, and he almost wondered why Cara and Vienna would have suggested her for this, as they would have only known her to be a juggler; her part time job from 11 years ago. He knew her better than this, and he did see why she may be of assistance. However, he did not quite understand why Sylus or someone else of power in the group could not try tot take him on. "I will take you to her. Of course, you may have to explain this again... and there is no guarantee in this that she will help." |
Sylus did something in his life he almost never did in his 200 plus years of living, he feared. He feared for the worst yet hoped for the best. Before he didn't care at all, he had a great compassion for the earth yet he did not show it in any of his actions. He could not care for people in his past life, he knew that if he ever lost someone he cared about he would be broken. Genesis knew this too, so Sylus sealed off his emotions for a very long time, seeing countless deaths and those who considered him friends die at the hands of his enemies. Genesis wanted to exploit this weakness, and now that someone had allowed him to do that, he jumped on that opportunity. Sylus feared that Genesis would reach Vienna before he could do anything and the juggler could help them. If she even chose to help them that was... Then what would they do?
Yu and reached the room shortly after their walk together, seeing Sylus and Vienna on the bed together still holding hands. "I have decided on what will happen, after Xander takes us to his mother we shall head to the north pole... That is where Nex's final ship part is. The Space Pirates have been relatively quiet because they are all holed up there. They know that if the IAP attacks them in any other location they would be obliterated. The pirates are experts in guerrilla warfare... We assume when we get our hands on Nex's final part that we will be able to take their base and await their advance. Genesis will have to break through the Mavericks in order to get to his target... Whatever the juggling woman does that can help... We shall take advantage of.... But we cannot leave that north pole base once we capture it, if we do we will fall under serious artillery fire..." Sylus rose his head, "You mean the IAP have set up a planetary defense system already?" Yu nodded, "Yes, if there is a bug anywhere on the planet, you will be sure that the IAP will not be the ones to not notice it... With the massive size of the north pole and the constant snow storms they could be shooting for days before actually hitting the edge of the camp, they do not have the resources for such a strike. So we will take advantage of that... However... If we fail... We will be destroyed quickly." Yu turned toward Xander, "Can you give us the coordinates of location for your mother... We can only send a small team in a stealth pod... Nothing else with that IAP defense system." |
Vienna's eyes focused upon Sylus during the remainder of the time they waited for Yu and Xander. What was going though his head? She realized that she herself would be incapable of guessing this, he did seem rather.. unpredictable, so she ceased these thoughts in time to see Yu re-enter the room with Xander. Xander looked to see Vienna holding hands with porcupine-man, with confused him a bit, as he had not seen this relationship coming. He listened to the plan rather carefully, picturing this in his head, stopping as he referred to his mother in a certain way. 'Juggling woman?' He shot a 'not amused' look at Vienna after Cheng Yu was done speaking.
Vienna listened to quietly, and only when he was finished did she look up to see Xander's face. She happened to find this very familiar look from him hilarious. She had to cover her mouth with her hand to try and prevent this laughter, straightening out again soon after. Only when Cara spotted Yu and Xander walking up to Sylus' room did she decide to move. She got up, brushed herself off, then headed out of the room and down the hallway. |
Sylus did not know Xander well at all, and he doubted the two were on good terms, so he knew this might be awkward. He also guessed it would be a shocker to see the two together like this, but Sylus knew it would be a shocker for anybody to see the two like this. It was not like he really cared at all about it, yet he knew that the constant shock he would see from people who slowly learned about their relationship would be coming.
Yu noticed that he seemed more focused on the two holding hands right now than what was going on at the moment. "Can we focus at the task at hand now? I need those coordinates if you expect to get anywhere with this plan. Xander, I want you to go down in a stealth ship and bring whoever you want with you... However i suggest not bringing more than two people, you do not want to make a big target." Nex was in his own room, laying back with his hands behind his head, this conversation didn't involve him so he felt there was no point in going back, he would simply learn about the plan later, however they were going to do. |
Xander nodded, his attention going back to Yu. He was still half asleep, so it wasn't all of his attention... but it was most. He nodded again after his suggestion, running a hand through his shaggy hair. "Coordinates, coordinates.." he said to himself as he slipped a hand held device from his pocket. The small screen on it glowed, and made a few clicking sounds as his fingers selected the area. Soon enough a card would spurt out from the side, one which he would hand to Yu. "Coordinates." he said simply. Xander then stopped to think for a moment, a hand raising to rub his sleep-stiff neck before choosing the people which he would want to come. "Well.. She will want an explanation before leaving her house.. so whoever it is who knows Genesis best I will ask to come along. And, uhh.. well, whoever else wants to come." He shrugged, slipping the small hand-held device back into his pocket.
Vienna watched Xander warily, knowing how tired he was. He would crash the stealth ship.. Yes, that she was sure of. Cara wondered the hallways in no particular direction, just allowing them to lead her to wherever it was she would end up. Of course, that place was Nex's room. For a moment, she thought about entering, if he would be in there.. if he wanted her to enter. After another moment of hesitation, she decided upon entering. However, upon seeing him thinking, she quickly thought up an excuse for coming in; to get her bag. She was nervous about what he may say after how she had acted earlier.. how she had been acting lately. Cara quietly walked over to where her bag was laying, before kneeling to check her belongings, hoping to find an object that she could say she was looking for if he asked. |
Sylus eyed the portable device, knowing that there were millions of them throughout the galaxy. He was not impressed, it was a basic item, a gps with a portable printout for coordinates. Yu took the card and eyed it for one moment before nodding and thanking Xander for his help in this, "I can only hope that she will accept this offer. If she doesn't.... We will have no choice but to run and escape from this planet. Our mission will be a failure." Cheng Yu ended on that note before walking off toward the bridge, planning to insert the coordinates into the ships programming, they should be there soon now that they had a destination.
Sylus saw the condition that Xander was in, wondering why he did not sleep and was in such a condition. They would need a pilot, for if he got behind the wheel they would end up becoming a stain upon the planet. Sylus did not want to die in such a way, his mission would not be complete that way. Well... Unless they crashed into Genesis, but there was virtually no chance for that. "I believe we need a pilot..." He looked at Vienna, well aware that she could pilot a ship, but didn't know if she had any experience behind a stealth fighter. Nex lifted his head and caught Cara attempting to sneak in. Nex would not let her in that easy, he wanted to talk to her, to question what was on your mind. "Cara...." he addressed her directly, not hiding it at all and coming right out of it. "What is wrong? You know if you need anything I am here for you...." |
Xander was thinking somewhat clearly at this point, but e was still incredibly tired. And Sylus had a point. He leaned against the side of the doorway, obviously not caring that he was incapable of flying. "Eh.. Let Vienna fly, then." he replied simply, almost dismissing any question of who would pilot the best in this situation. At this sudden suggestion of her flying, and Sylus' eyes upon her, she suddenly felt a bit flustered. "I.. I don't own a stealth ship. It might not be the smoothest flight.." She wouldn't refuse the offer, after all she did know the woman they were seeking.. however, if there were perhaps a better choice, she would step back to allow them to take the job over.
Cara let out a soft sigh. She had known her love wouldn't let her go.. not the Nex she knew.. however, she had tried to escape this anyways. Slowly, she set her bag back down, turning to face him afterwards. "I... I don't know what's wrong.. I'm confused." |
Sylus hadn't seen many people who were in a desperate situation this tired and casual. He was about to say something on it, but the response calmed him down as he agreed verbally that Vienna should be the one to fly. This set his mind at ease somewhat, now was the question of if he could fight or not. If they got into a battle he had better be alert enough to defend himself. "Tell me, are you are you alert enough to do battle? This is barely the time to be in this state..."
Nex wondered exactly why she was confused, wondering how or what went through his mind. Nex had worry in his eyes as he looked down to the floor. "Just.... Don't ever doubt yourself Cara.... You knew it was a good idea... and you shouldn't even let someone like me stop you because I question it. I love you.... I want you to be yourself always..." |
Xander hadn't really noticed the question was for him until Vienna wen ahead and answered it for him. "Don't worry about Xander over there.. Just slap him around a little and he'll wake right up." Xander didn't wish to argue in such a state as this, so he simply nodded in agreement. He's an ex-pilot for space pirates, it was his usual waker-upper anyways. "Besides.. Vienna doesn't really give enemy ships time for battle.. Have you seen her ship? The thing's all weapons.." Vienna chuckled a bit, almost in embarrassment, but nodded in agreement.
Cara saw the worry in Nex's eyes, which made a twinge of guilt run through her. She shouldn't be doubting herself so.. she knew that, yet she did it anyways. She slowly approached him, one hand going to his cheek to tilt his gaze up from the floor to look at her. "I'm sorry I haven't been myself today.. I just have a lot going through my mind, Nex." She then lay a gentle kiss upon her love's forehead, a smile creeping onto her face. "I love you.. Please don't worry on my account." |
Sylus was the only one here without a ship, so he was confused at exactly how he could respond to this. "hmmm.... I believe I am the only one here who travels through the spirit stream... So there is no need for spaceship travel for me." Sylus looked up at Xander, "Very well then, I slap you if you falter in battle. And do not expect me to hold back just because your a friend of Vienna's..." He said, not used to having playful conversation, but seeming to fit right in.
Nex also had a lot going through his mind, more than he had ever had before. But through it all he kept his cool and had a confidence about him that nobody else had. This was why everything seemed normal to him right now, he had not dealt a lot with the personality that changed in difficult situations, his friends were all strong people who never showed their emotion, but everyone could feel the emotion if one member was ever in a bad mood. The Mavericks were like brothers connected by one purpose, to create a free world where people could do what they wanted. Nex knew he had to get used to this changing of moods, but understood entirely as she spoke. "I know.... I have been thinking a lot too... And I'll always worry about you.... Its what comes with love." He said with a smile, reaching his hands up and resting them on her shoulders. He wanted to hold her for a while.... Just spend time with her while he could. |
Vienna gave Sylus a look of confusion when he mention traveling through spirit stream, something she had never heard of. Xander simply replied to his comment as if it was the most natural thing in the world, unaware of Sylus' lack of playful talk. "Ah, well, Mr. Porcupine, don't you bother holding back." His voice was teasing, and the comment was harmless, but Vienna couldn't help but wonder if this might tweak a sensitive point in Sylus. She ignored this comment, her gaze coming to rest, and stayed, upon Sylus.
Cara knew better than to think Nex's mind wasn't as busy as hers. She felt bad about his worry, however, she felt the same towards him. She relaxed, feeling his touch again, after what seemed to be a long time. Cara hadn't known how much she'd yearned for it, to be in his arms again.. It seemed to be the confidence boost she needed. Her arms responded to his touch, wrapping around him in a hug. |
Porcupine? Sylus had been called that once before, he had made no sense out of that other than the spikes in his arm. The spikes did not even stick out, they were simply six metal stubs coming out of his arm, they were only spikes when they escaped his arm. He had never enjoyed his spikes, however they did come in handy in battle. He thought nothing of it right now, but knew not how to respond, feeling all eyes in the room on him. He felt slightly awkward and stood silent for the moment.
Nex smiled up at her and leaned into her hug, his own arms resting around her as he returned her hug, his head buried within the area between her head and chest with the way he was sitting. He whispered something quietly, sliding his head upward as he did that. "I love you..." he said into her ear, kidding the side of her neck shortly after. |
Vienna felt the awkwardness, but Xander seemed not to. In fact, Xander seemingly fell asleep where he stood, leaning against the open doorway. A smug smile spread onto Vienna's face at this, and she quickly approached Xander, staying quiet until suddenly.. Tap. Thump. Vienna tapped Xander and down he fell, landing on the floor with a thump. Still asleep. She smiled, before returning to her spot next to Sylus, her hand rewrapping itself around his.
Cara smiled, her arms staying firmly around him. She closed her eyes briefly, relaxing where she stood. Her eyes reopened slowly as he moved, her smile widening at his words. Cara leaned down a bit to whisper her reply, her face against the side of his as she whispered back to him. "I love you, too, Nexion." |
Sylus watched Xander for a moment, he was going to be useless in battle. That is what Sylus decided on, if they were ever on the field of battle Sylus would have to decide to destroy all who get in his way only with the help of Vienna. He would take the brunt of the hit. His eyes followed Xander down as he thumped to the ground, he sent one of his spikes outward from his hands. With telekinetic powers one of the spikes stopped inches away from his right arm. The spike poked Xander, it would feel like a bee had just stung him for a few seconds. The needle quickly pulled away from the sight of Xander and back where it belonged.
Nexion decided this was the time to keep her within his arms and hold her. Catch up on all of the lost time the two had in their desire to find time to love. Nex pulled her a bit when she whispered it back, giving her a kiss, something he had ached for. Her lips, her touch, it all came back to her, he didn't stop kissing her, holding it there and only pausing to take a breath and he tugged her onto the bed which he sat down upon. |
Vienna watched this with curiosity, not wishing for Xander to be harmed, but knowing Sylus wouldn't do anything seriously harmful. Then again, that was just her way of looking at him. Her eyes followed along with the spike, almost cringing herself as it poked him before retreating.
Xander woke suddenly, feeling as if he had just been stung by an insect. He looked around, but saw nothing, so he just shrugged it off before standing up again and brushing himself off. His gaze went to Sylus and Vienna, then looked for the vacant Yu before remembering he had went to enter the coordinates into the ship's system. Letting out a soft sigh, Xander exited and started on his way back to his room. Vienna relaxed a bit again, her head gently leaning against Sylus' should as the two sat there. She closed her eyes briefly, seeking relaxation. Cara smiled as she felt his lips press against hers, something she had been longing for for quite some time. She felt herself being pulled onto the bed with him, slipping her arms loosely around his neck as she was. She kissed him slowly, wanting to savor every kiss, touch... every moment they had now. |
Sylus didn't have plans to hurt him for more than a second. He did it exactly as he wanted to, knowing that would wake him up. Sylus's eyes followed the tired individual out of the room before he vanished from site. It wasn't long after that that he felt a weight on his shoulder. She was relaxing against him, but the shoulder was barely a comfortable place to rest. Sylus moved her closer, putting and arm around her and allowing her to rest upon his chest if she wanted to, leaning back against the headboard of the bed to relax himself.
The couple fell back onto the bed with Nex hitting the pillow first. A laugh escaped his lips as he moved them away from her. He then continued to kiss her, his kisses growing more passionate as he looked into her eyes. His tongue began to lick at her bottom lip a bit, occasionally entering her mouth and pulling out, teasing her a bit with his kisses. |
Vienna's eyes fluttered open again as she felt herself being moved, smiling asa more comfortable resting spot was now available to her. She took it, gently leaning against his chest as the two relaxed. After a minute or so, Vienna slowly turned her head to the side, looking up at Sylus. Upon doing this, she remembered something which made her smile softly, as it was an advantage to her. Sylus didn't wear shirts. She placed a few soft kisses along his chest, just in a particular area near the spot the was resting her head.
Cara smiled into the kisses at his laugh, a sound she rather liked hearing from him. Her kisses got more passion-filled as his did, her eyes eventually opening to lock onto his as this went on. The teasing caused her to pull back the tiniest bit to pout, but she didn't stop the kisses. Her tongue tried, in an attempt to stop the teasing, to take his tongue into her mouth where she would suck and massage it with her own. |
Sylus relaxed there with his arms resting around her shoulders in a warm hug. Just sitting there in thought and comfort for the moment, relaxing with the limited time he had left. Things seemed to change though, he shivered at the random touch of her lips to his bare chest. Smiling a bit as one of his hands ran through her hair. He placed a gentle kiss at the top of her head.
Nexion was able to keep his tongue away from her for about 4 seconds before he gave up and allowed her to take his tongue within her mouth. He stole her tongue as well, gently using his own tongue to massage and absorb every bit of taste he could out of her mouth in the process. "Mmmmm...." He made a quiet noise through this, indicating he was really enjoying this, one of his arms around her lower back starting to move along that area, his other hand gently gripping at the back of her head to give her some control. He deepened the kiss between them, tilting his head as he kept himself locked to her. |
Vienna kept her head resting gently against his chest as she continued this, smiling at his shiver. She closed her eyes momentarily at the kiss to the top of her head before continuing, slowly trailing gentle kisses up and along his collar bone. she still considered this relaxing, just spending time with him.. something had had little of.
Cara almost smiled into the kiss again at the wonderful sound she heard from him, a similar one escaping her throat as his mouth now captured her tongue. She still moved rather slowly, savoring everything, knowing they may not have much time before something else came up. But that was a thought for later. She felt a hand on her lower back and took it upon herself to move on of her hands from the back of his neck to his upper back, keeping them close together. |
Sylus sometimes squirmed at the kisses, but not because he didn't like them. He was quiet ticklish when touched in this way by lips, he had never felt like this before he had met her. He enjoyed it greatly, shivering as she hit certain spots along his collar bone, not being able to do much in his current position. He allowed her complete control.
Nex overheard the sound from her throat, knowing that she was enjoying this as much as he did, His mind wandering on the things they could do with the time that they had. He knew with low power the ship would take longer to get to its destination that usual, however far away that was depending on the orbit of this planet. Either way he knew for the next hour at least he would have time with her. He found himself getting more excited by the moment, moving a bit faster and gently pressing himself against her. Now he was the instigator as she was back at the grassy ground outside of the city they had defended. |
Vienna was a bit surprised with the submissiveness from him, not that she minded. Each squirm, each shiver from him caused her to smile again his skin as she continued to trail the same gentle, sweet kisses upwards to the base of his neck. There, she paused for a moment to lightly flick her tongue out over the skin there before moving on up his neck.
Cara continued to kiss him, kisses quickening in pace a bit, but allowing him to take control between the two for now. Soon she found herself being pressed against Nex, which only encouraged her to gently pull the two closer together using her hands on his back to do so. |
Sylus was not normally one to allow people to do these things to him, much less anything to him without some control from him. But Vienna was a special case, Sylus trusted Vienna with his life, she has already proved she can save it, and with their love she has proven that she can have it as well. Sylus was all Vienna's, and his gasps as she reached to the base of his neck and moved upward only continued to push that idea. He only hoped when it was his turn that he would do just as good.
Nex felt her pull the two of them closer, only making him more eager for their continued loving. Nex began trailing kisses down and up her neck, his arm still firmly wrapped around her so the two would not be apart unless she requested it. Nex pulled himself out of her neck shortly, looking up to her eyes and resting there for a moment, catching his breath. "God your beautiful...." he said as he looked into her eyes. |
Vienna continued her kisses until the met his jaw, again flicking her tongue out over the skin there before traveling down his jaw. Once she reached his chin, she stopped and smiled at him before slowly pressing her lips to his, something she longed for after meeting Genesis.. well, even without that she would.
Cara frowned a bit as his lips moved to her neck, disappointed that the kissing was stopped momentarily, but that soon changed. She let out a couple of small gasps as he went along her neck, one of her hands going to rest on the back of his head as he did so. Her eyes went to meet his when he was done, a blush accompanying it at his words. "Thank you.." she said softly, s bit shyly. "You're mighty handsome yourself." |
