Xander became a bit bored after finding out what the sound had been, and started to look around the area in which they'd landed. It was a rather dense forrest, the area in which they'd landed used to be part of that dense forrest, and he could barely make out a very familiar billow of smoke rising from the trees. A cabin. Just to make sure, he watched, waited, and soon enough a bird flew by, right up to where the smoke was until... Bzzzt. A sort of forcefield blocked it from going past, the creature falling to the ground, dead.

Vienna only sighed, slipping her weapon back into its place. Yet another thing that space travel has done to this planet.. it truly saddened her, but there was no time for that. Turning to the direction in which Xander was looking, she spotted the bird fall from the sky, seemingly electricuted. "Well... on the bright side, we landed rather close to our destination."

Xander simply nodded in reply, not giving any warning before making his to the house way through the trees at a rather quick pace. Vienna looked back at Sylus once, just to see if he was coming, before following after Xander.

Cara felt her body relax more under her love's touch, but did not cease rubbing his back. Her mouth was still rather close to his neck, planting a few occasional kisses there when she deemed necessary, only stopping to look up at Nex when he asked her a question. At that, she smiled and nodded, her eyes going to lock upon his own. "Yes.. Are you?"

Sylus kept his eyes on the creature, uncaring for the bird that just died from the power of the force field. This creature was not anything he had seen before, and he had seen many creatures in his lifetime. He assumed that a space pirate from another galaxy which he hadn't been too let it escape, but he still could not help but be disturbed but something he had never seen before. He lifted his head and turned toward Vienna, realizing he had fell behind. It didn't take him long to catch up and wonder what they were going to do next. He looked at the bird corpse upon the ground. "So, now how do we get by this?"

"Of course Cara," he said honestly, his eyes still on hers as he nuzzles the top of her head. He was getting tired of lacking her lips against his own, so he adjusted himself so the two were face to face. He was about to continue, but some knocking at the door interrupted them yet again. Nex groaned in annoyance and asked who it was in the same tone as his groan. "Is me Nex," Cheng Yu's voice echoed through the room, "I need to discuss a matter of supreme importance with you and Cara, come to the cargo hold when you are done with whatever you are doing in there.' Nex heard Yu's voice die out as his footsteps echoed throughout the metal ship until he had reached out of range of his ears.

Vienna looked at the rather small cabin from where they were standing, not quite sure how to answer Sylus' question. Then again, this was where Xander came in, so she would let him figure this out. Xander only grinned, leaning back against a nearby tree. "We wait." Vienna was confused with Xander's answer, but didn't have time to question it, for the sound of an opening door would be heard but seconds after his answer.

A woman walked right out of the cabin, waiting for a second on her porch, her head turning in their direction. She looked to be in her mid 40's, and had a rather small frame, giving off a sense of fragility. Her appearance was nothing special; wavy black hair, an oval-shaped face, and the clothes of any other on this planet. She was blind, that was available to sight as her eyes would show in their grey coloring, but she seemed to move as any other would, and when her head turned towards the group, her eyes met the faces of all of the three. After a few moments, she then moved. However, it was not in the direction in which the group may have been hoping; she simply retreated back into her house.

Cara smiled as she felt him nuzzle her head, but was missing the company of his lips. She watched him readjust himself so the two were face to face, then leaned in a little as if to re-unite their lips... then she heard the last thing she wanted to; a knock. Cara sighed in frustration, letting herself plop back onto the bed from her slightly leaning position. Listening to Yu, she frowned a bit, knowing they may not have much time, and if the matter was truly as serious as he had said, it would most likely not be a conversation she'd want to be a part of. Her eyes then went back to Nex, as if wondering what they would do. go now, or wait til later. Then again, she wasn't sure they'd get the chance to do this again later.. this saddened her, but she said nothing of it.

Sylus was not satisfied with Xander's answer, looking over to him for a moment and back at the cabin. He decided to not speak his opinions on waiting, knowing that time was of the essence. He followed the woman as she stepped out with her eyes, examining every detail of her being just in case that things ever became desperate and the IAP came. She obviously did not see them, and the force field was still up as she went back inside. Sylus expressed his annoyance openly, "So, are we going to wait long enough for the IAP to notice our presence? It is not like we have all day."

Nex was obviously not in a good mood as he slowly moved his way from above her. He gave her one final hug and pulled himself entirely off of the bed, giving her one final look before walking out the door to whatever Cheng Yu wanted. As the two reached Yu he took a serious tone when he greeted them. "Sit down... I have something to tell both of you. It is about Genesis, I believe he has stumbled upon something that could mean the end of humanity as we know it."

Vienna only looked at Sylus briefly again, noting the utter annoyance in his voice. That was one trait she wasn't fond of, but there was a good reason, that of course, she knew. Her eyes then went to Xander, who was now walking towards the cabin openly, the forcefield that had once been around the cabin now gone. Vienna then turned towards Sylus expectantly before following Xander up onto the cabin's porch, before the two went inside. The woman had indeed seen them, she had merely went inside to turn off the forcefield.

Cara attempted to savor the last hug she got from Nex, but to no avail. Her mood was also wrecked, so she remained silent on the way to the cargo hold, though she did stay at a relatively close distance to Nex. When they arrived, she did as told and sat, knowing more bad news was coming. At this point, she wanted nothing more than to take back her decision on coming back to this planet with Nex.. but they were in too deep. Everything would be a waste if they were to go back now.

Sylus watched Xander as he walked toward what seemed certain doom, the force field had been dropped, Xander was obviously confident of his mother's abilities as he walked through as though a blind woman seeing them was natural. He looked back at Vienna for a moment, knowing that she did not like hearing him annoyed, he hoped she would understand as he walked forward along with the other two. He stepped close to the cabin, however, he was not close enough to catch her attention. He wanted Xander to go in first, not feeling right going into another person's mother's house first due to the awkwardness of walking in. He could hear something in the bushes, he pushed it aside for now, thinking it was an animal. He had other questions on his mind which he would direct toward Xander's mother later.

Nex was shocked, "How could one thing like Genesis attain that much power? How is he going to do it? And why does he want to do it?" Yu answered the questions one at a time, answering the easiest one first. "Genesis has a hate for humanity after being created by them and performed tests on for the first few years of his life. He has the desire to wipe out all humanity and does not care how nice or mean those humans have been to them before. He has a one track mind. As for how he wants to do it...." He paused for a moment, not wanting to talk about this subject. "Have you ever heard of the Cathedral of Creation?" Nex had no idea he was talking about, the blank stare told all he needed to know. "The Cathedral of Creation is the station which an ancient civilization used to test and learn how a creature is created. I have no idea how they were able to create such advanced technology... But back before 1600 they were testing and creating their own organic creatures at will. This civilization was known as the Crystellions, only a few of them remain today, and they still hold the memory of the near extinction of their race firmly in their heads. Sadly... Not all of the Crystellions had a golden heart, one of them took hold of the Cathedral and created an unholy monster that destroyed itself along with most of the Crystellions. The Cathedral was cast into deep pits on randomly selected planets and sealed for what seemed all eternity. These were one of the planets of legend, and I believe Genesis has gotten his hands on this Cathedral...."

The woman had already gotten situated in her living room, which the door to her house opened up directly into, and was watching as the first two entered. It was rather small, but contained a couple of couches and a coffee table, but no further decoration. She frowned a bit at Sylus' seeming hesitation to enter, looking in his direction as she spoke. "Do come in. There are is unpleasantness about these days, I don't like keeping the door open." Vienna stood awkwardly by the couches until Xander came and plopped onto the one opposite his mother, when she then took a seat beside him. The woman would wait for Sylus before questioning the group.

Cara's thoughts were elsewhere after hearing of the cathedral, the only thing she was really worrying about at this point was her cousin, Vienna. She knew of Sylus' determination to meet with this man in a week... and she feared that her friend would not like this... not at all. Of course, she knew what she would do in her situation; go to meet Genesis first. Which she was sure Vienna would do. After hearing this, however, she had no intentions of letting either of this first meeting happen. Cara, at the moment, was more focused on how to get Vienna out of the way of this threat than on how to destroy the threat against humanity.

As was her way of thinking.

Sylus followed the other two into the room, closing the door behind him and not bothering to take a seat. He did not need to get comfortable, he didn't think this would take very long. However, Sylus did have some questions that he felt needed to be answered. "Why do you have that force field up, are you well aware that having any high level tech can put a big target on your head for the IAP soldiers?" He paused, his mind back to the body of the creature he had found earlier yet again. He had another question for her later on, and this question would be a test for her abilities. Whatever they may be.

"Genesis will not be complete with just a single death, when Sylus's woman goes... I fear he will take the entire planet with him. By now I assume he has absorbed the powers which the Cathedral of Creation have within... He can do this with faces, and he can also do it with technology. He is a walking piece of science at its best, and being self aware as he is makes him a scary individual." Nex looked downward, not wanting to fail at this mission more than ever, but what could he do. "You said there were some survivors from that ancient civilization...? Perhaps they would know how to stop him." Yu thought about that for a moment, "The only surviving members of that I know... Are Sylus... And another man by the name of Ray... But I have no idea where that man is located... And Sylus knows how to easily stop him only at the cost of his own life. The last I saw him I saw him at that warriors planet I was talking about... And that was several years ago."

The woman seemed to dismiss Sylus' questions. He seemed to have an odd attitude and a lot of questions, something she didn't favor at all. Her attention was on her son at the moment, her own questions coming from her instead of the answers Sylus was seeking. "Why are you here?" Xander's answer to this was simple. "We need your help.. There is a very strong... individual who has created difficulties." Vienna only shook her had the smallest bit at this, finding his lack of detail horrible. The woman said nothing for a moment, her head now turning to Sylus. "I can tell by your lack of patience that time is of the essence.. I am not saying that I will help you, but if we do not leave soon, your ship with not stay in tact long." Vienna nodded, standing, as well as Xander and the woman, all of them heading back towards the front door. Vienna waited for Sylus before exiting her house.

Cara's thoughts were not bright on this matter. Things just got worse.. and worse... and worse. And now it was that the last ray of hope in her again went out, her expression attempting to hide this, but the result was a miserable failure. "I'm guessing there's no way to communicate with.. 'Ray'?"

Sylus felt himself ignored, it had happened before, but that usually changed when Sylus saved them from some event. Space pirates were everywhere and easily killed, it was not hard to gain the favor of people if you waited until the right situation. He looked in her direction for one more minute, nodding and walking out the front door yet again. He saw the bushes move yet again, there were multiple noises coming from the bushes, all of them were obviously not from humans. Sylus sent his spikes into that moving bush and a loud scream echoed out. A creature similar to the one they hit with their ship fell out of the bushes, the forest reaching quickly as it filled with the life of those similar creatures. Sylus turned and shouted, "They are organized! Get to the ship now!"

Yu thought for a moment, and then realized that there may be an answer to this. "Ray holds a strong connection to the spirit world that goes beyond my own abilities. Perhaps if someone is able to contact him through the spirit stream.... We might be able to reach him. But I know nobody with that ability." Nex lifted his head, "We cannot give up hope though, Xander's mother may still help us... And She may be able contact him... Xander never told us how this woman was gifted. If she cannot... We still have Sylus.... As much as we don't want to, I know the man enough to know that if the worst actually arrives that he will willingly sacrifice himself."

Vienna didn't hesitate in running towards the ship, however much she would've liked to help, she knew she would need to start it up so they could leave quickly. While she was doing that, Xander quickly joined her, leaning out the doors wit guns firing at the bushes... aiming for any sign of movement in them. Vienna had the ship ready to go, turning to call the other two to get in.. that's when she saw something somewhat... unexplainable. The woman walked rather calmly into this, and relatively slowly. Her head turned to the bushes, where the creatures had been spotted by Sylus, and she caught a glimpse of one of them through the brush. Again, she turned to look at the ship as she continued, but something rather... curious happened. A vibration rang through the ground at her next step, a nearly visible wave of pressurized air knocking back the remaining creatures, rather disgusting sounds eminating from that area as bones snapped, screams rang up through the group in the brush.

Once on the ship, Vienna and Xander were both waiting in their seats, both silent. The only thing left to do was to wait for Sylus before leaving.

Cara almost cringed at the word 'sacrifice'. Not only did she dislike the meaning of that word, but, though she did not have any personal connections to Sylus, she sympathized with her friend. If Xander's mother was, indeed not able to help, this would not end well. Not that it would anyways. "What is... spirit stream exactly?" she asked, more curious than in need of information. For whatever reason it was, she wanted to help this situation more.. and if that meant asking questions, then she would.

Sylus looked at the large group, the forest alive with activity as the creatures began their hunt. Sylus stood there, even someone like him could not take this on, yet he had some mysterious back-up. HE felt the ground shake, nearly toppling off balance in a mix of surprise and power. He turned toward the source of the power, seeing the juggling blind woman display that power which was so praised by Vienna back at the ship. An image flashed into his mind shortly after that, but he could not lose focus as he ran back to the ship. "Go! I'm in!" He said, sure that everyone was in the ship.

Yu knew that this question would eventually come to him. He took a seat on one of the smaller boxes and began to speak plainly. "You have seen the edges of the spirit world once.... That is nowhere near the spirit stream, only the world where a physical body is given to you so you may feel alive again. Beyond that lays the spirit stream, the spirit stream has no physical appearances, only energies of different levels and different locations. Only the most heightened can do this, they speak through the spirit stream and are able to contact those who are willing to listen. Ray is one of those who can be connected... I sadly am not... This is why we have put all of our hopes in this woman."

Vienna only nodded, only briefly turning to look at Sylus, just to make sure he was in his seat, before getting the ship back off of the ground and getting it set up in the direction of the ship. he woman looked a bit dismayed at the quick take off, not only had she never been inside a ship before, but flying in general was on odd concept to her. However, as they left the ground, her eyes went to the window. If one had not seen her eyes, it would be hard to think her to be blind. Xander relaxed on the ride up, using the time to reload his guns.

Cara nodded, though the concept wasn't clear to her at all. However, after Yu's last comment, she hoped this woman would have this.. power; to connect to the spirit stream. It seemed to be one of their main hopes at this point.

Sylus watched as the creatures burnt alive attempting to cling to the ship, glad that none of them were able to get a firm grip as they reached to the sky and eventually burst through the inner atmosphere. Sylus could finally relax, taking his eat and sighing as he leaned back into it, he looked at the blind woman for a moment, wondering exactly how she did that. "Where did you get those powers....?" Sylus asked, uncaring for the good view out into space. As they reached closer to the ships, the doors were already open for them to enter.

Vienna almost let out a sigh of relief, getting out of that situation better than she had expected them to. Once they were in space, she relaxed completely, pulling up and into the starship's open doors with ease before landing where they had first taken off. Just in case they had specific 'parking spaces' or something along those lines. Xander stared out the window for the remainder of their rather short trip up, not bothering to pay attention to Sylus' question. God thing it hadn't been directed at him.

The woman's gaze was no where in particular, but as Sylus spoke, her head again turned towards him, eyes following suit. Her gaze seemed to focus on him, though her eyes showed no sign of actual sight. "Where did you get those ears?" she asked, not bothering to reply but no question his own differences.

Sylus did not like the response he had gotten, gritting his teeth he turned downward and swallowed any anger he had inside of him. "I was effected by the magical aura of a distant planet... Normally people would change straight back... But I guess I was unlucky." He kept his eyes to the ground right now, deciding not to mention anything else. Whatever powers she had obviously were her own business and she did not want to talk to him. Sylus would not address someone who showed him no respect.

Vulcan saw the massive blood stain at the front of the ship, it didn't anger him at all, however, he wondered exactly what would happen as the ship was pulled back into the hanger. He walked up as the doors open, Sylus walked into the hangar himself and didn't bother to look at Vulcan. "Err.... May I ask how the voyage went?" He asked, his eyes going to the large dent and blood stain yet again.

Yu's eyes half opened, he felt a strong presence upon this ship that he was not familiar with. It was not Sylus, they have returned. "Come... Let us go to the docking bay... They have arrived." He said, walking along the halls along with Nex who was waiting for Cara.

The woman had not chosen not to answer Sylus' question because of a sort of disrespect.. but she did not favor sharing information about herself with others. Especially Mavericks, which she assumed he was. She was, however, surprised that he had actually answered, deciding to share a small piece of information on her as well. "Radiation. I assume.." she explained very shortly as she got off the small stealth ship and into the hangar. Vienna frowned a bit at Sylus' answer. It wasn't that she didn't like the ears... she found them cute in a sense. She just wished he didn't dislike them as much as he seemed to, even though she was sure she would feel the same. Upon landing, she hopped out, almost worried for Vulcan's reaction after he saw the dent and the blood. To her surprise and great relief, it wasn't that of anger, more of... curiosity? "Well.. Better than it could have. Sorry about your ship, we landed on something." she apologized, but shortly, as her gaze too went to the dent. Yikes.

Cara only nodded and stood as they walked to the hangar, her hand going to find Nex's as they walked, just wanting a small touch or something of the sort, even if it need be brief. She was a bit worried about the outcome of their voyage. The ship landed, so that would at least mean Vienna was alive.. or Xander was. They wee back.. so she assumed that their mission was at least accomplished. So far, it sounded like a success.

Sylus and Yu locked eyes as the two reached the same room, they knew what the first question that had to be answered. Sylus took the moment, "I believe that the Omnigate has been opened... The Cathedral of Creation..." Sylus said, Yu sighing shortly after. "We can only hope that is not the case.... Our ships kept on picking up a massive population increase... Much too large for the Planet's population for it to be a mass birth if that was the case... Did you catch anything unusual?" Sylus nodded, "We found spawn creatures... They had energy readings similar to Genesis... There can be no other option... We need an ancient power to seal the Cathedral for all eternity... We need my people."

Vulcan sighed, "Well... I'll wash out the paint stain and order some new parts soon... shouldn't take too much effort... I've seen and had worse."

Nex spotted the blind woman, Yu taking it upon himself to greet her. Looking into her eyes he saw that she was blind, but it was hard to tell with the way she was walking. "Ah... You are Xander's mother? I am Cheng Yu of the eldest chain of the Mavericks... I was wondering if we could enlist your aid in any way we can have it. I have heard great things about you... And if it is compensation you are looking for... I shall do my best to make sure your efforts do not go without payment. I am sure you already know the situation that is going on down upon your planet... Can you help us?"

Cara's gaze met Vienna first, then quickly scanned the rest of the group, noting that no one seemed to be hurt, though the ship didn't seem to be in the best shape. After hearing the conversation between Yu and Sylus, it was apparent to her that there seemed to have been fighting of some sort, or that they had at least seen these creatures. She again stayed quiet, not feeling that it was her place to be talking at the moment. Vienna was rather quiet as well, only nodding at Vulcan's reply, a small apologetic smile still upon her face.

Xander almost tensed a bit at the mention of involving his mother in this sort of work.. it didn't please him that he was putting his mother in more danger than usual, whether or not she would accept the offer.

The woman's eyes went to Yu as she spoke again. "I am aware of most of your situation.. perhaps a bit more information on Genesis? If you have any."

Yu sighed for a moment, "All that there is to know about Genesis is that he is the cop of the original idea of Adam and Eve that was found upon earth. Some humans attempted to play god and created a monster that had a hand in destroying the original birthplace of the humanoids. Today he only wishes to continue his destruction and has focused his attention on this planet due to the Omnigate being found... The Cathedral of Creation of legend created by the Crystellions. He now has the ability to create creatures... However... The creatures are incomplete... He is missing several other pieces. We need to stop him here so he will not continue this destruction. We believe you can do this... So if you can help us... I would greatly appreciate it. However, do not feel any obligation, this is our fight and does not involve you, if you wish to return home I shall arrange an escort." Yu looked desperate, deciding not to mention how his first idea of her helping him in the first place. Sylus kept his eyes on the woman as well, awaiting the answer.

The woman knew small parts of this, but it was nice to get the rest of the information.. however she was a bit disappointed that she was not told of his fighting abilities. She got a vibe of what seemed to be desperation from the man speaking, Yu, which almost threw her off a little. Brushing this thought off, she thought about her choices, what they wold involve, and how she would execute what they planned for her to do to help them. Her eyes left the people in the room entirely, staring into space as she thought. Then, slowly her gaze went to Vienna, a vibe similar to Yu's being given off of her. Desperation from Vienna? After a few moments of careful observation of body language, expressions that she could pick up from the air vibrations, and anything else in the room, she nodded. "I will try to assist you."

Vienna almost let out a sigh of relief again, hope again coming to her. Maybe Genesis could be stopped by another means aside from Sylus.. just maybe. However, she wouldn't get her hopes up, she knew better than that. Cara was a bit relieved herself, though it did not compare to the height of Vienna's relief. Xander was a bit against this, but said nothing. He respected her opinion, and if she chose to go through with whatever they asked of her, it was his wishes as well that she did.

Yu sighed, a great weight lifted off of his shoulders. He would not see his father die in such a way. "Thank you.... Now... About how you can help us. I know of one man who is the son of a man who was related to the creation of the Omnigate. He is a Chrystellion, one of the few remaining in this universe. His name is Ray Hiroshi... He has lived as long as me yet much like Sylus he lives much longer than most humans. He also holds a strong spiritual connection to the other side. If we are able to contact him through the spirit world... We might be able to get the information we need to at least disable the Cathedral of Creation. I do not know of your powers... So I am wondering if spirit communication is among them... Is it? If it is not...." Sylus interrupted him, "I will end him with my own hand if this is not possible."

The woman listened to the man yet again, her full attention on him as he spoke of what she was to do. At this, she seemed to grin a little. Perhaps she would be of use to this group after all.. Her only response to Yu was a nod, before her eyes went to Sylus at his comment. It was not hard to sense Vienna stiffen, the woman finding this as an odd reaction, she commented on it. "You are scaring the lady beside you.. Perhaps such comments should not be said so crudely." Again, she turned back to Yu, now fully answering his question. "I can use spiritual communication, yes... but as I do not know the man you speak of, I will request an escort."

Sylus looked at her in anger, another one who did not understand. "I cannot allow the same mistake to happen twice... I'm... I'm sorry...." He looked downward, not wanting to hurt Vienna, but knew that there would be no other choice if the worst case scenario came up. "I must go.... I have things that need tended to," He said, obviously lying to those who knew them but nobody said this, there were more important things to think of. Sylus walked away, avoiding the view of everyone.

Yu looked at her for a moment, thinking of who could escort him at this time. It would have to be him, "I will take it upon myself to escort you... However I will need you to take me through to the spirit stream, I can only take people there for communication with that which is already dead. I was not one of the gifted." He looked around, the activity around them diminishing, Nex had nothing to do, he only watched with interest in his eyes. "Shall we find a comfortable place for our bodies to relax while we are on the other side?"

The woman disregarded Sylus' anger, confused about why he would be angry about her comment in any case, her focus and attention was still on Yu. She nodded in agreement in his decision to escort her. "Alright.. Though, we will not need to find a place to rest our bodies, my form of tapping into the other world is very different. We will be taking them with us."

Cara was also a bit curious as to what they were going to do exactly to 'tap into the other world', but her attention was now on Vienna, who stood silently and rather stiffly as Sylus left. Her heart again went out to her friend, though her face did not show any pain at the moment. Vienna stood still as Sylus left, her gaze downward. She had angered him for the second time in the past two days, and it wasn't something she seemed to be proud of.. not at all. she blamed the woman's comment, though she could not blame Xander's mother entirely, if at all, and decided to leave as well in the opposite direction. She did not want to anger her love further.. and his anger almost scared her in a way.
