Genesis watched with a smile as the ship finally came to a halt at her destination. "Good.... Now wait here... I have some business to take care of with the lizard." He opened the door himself, walking through the ship slowly as he saw that the guards were awaiting her arrival. He wondered how they would react knowing that a new being was entering the area, Genesis took the first move though. "... I wouldn't use those toys if I were you..." He rose his arm in the air, "Somebody might get hurt..." And flung his arm to the side of his body to create a black gate for which a few creatures to escape from and surround Genesis, one of them seemed more intelligent and humanoid, entirely red with many spines escaping the top of his head. His hands were replaced by crab claws and all of his teeth were spiked. He had intense yellow eyes which would pierce the soul of any who looked into them. He was wearing clothing that seemed accustomed to a pirate however, his pants very torn up and loose with a vest and a red scarf wrapped around his head. He had no eye-patch. "Get your boss... I need a word with him concerning the woman..."
Nex would stay by her side as long as it would take for her to recover... Tonight he would not sleep just to see her through. |
The men around the ship quickly retreated, obviously to fulfill Genesis' demands; to get their leader of sorts. Vienna was too busy to watch these happenings, she was going through an emotional breakdown inside of her ship, her vision far too blurry to be able to see straight anyways. Within a minute or so, their leader, AKA lizard man stepped out into the anger, looking very pissed off indeed. "My demand was the woman, and you are obviously not the man she was with. What business have you here?"
|
Gensis locked eyes with the lizard, a smile still upon his face as he crossed his arms and allowed the silence to engulf the room. The Crab hybrid snapped his claws and broke the silence of the room, giving Genesis the grounds to finally talk. "Hmmm....I am impressed lizard... Even in the face of certain doom you continue to fight on..." He looked at the man for a moment longer, "Tell me... How does it feel to know that the IAP no longer has your back... That all of the people upon this planet who supported you is either dead or dying...? I think its pretty hard with your backs against the wall... All you have are enemies lizard... And the Crystellions are barely a few kilometers ahead awaiting your capture. I have come to make you an offering, an offering that a man such as you could not refuse in this current situation.... I need a front-runner to take the helm in this operation... As I have exhausted much of my energy trying to control the Omnigate. I need you to control the bulk of my forces and prevent any landings on this rock... And I will thank you with a little gift... A new ship that is entirely immune to the EMP blast of the Crystellion fleet... What do you say?"
|
Vienna froze at the mention of him joining Genesis as his 'front-runner'. Is he serious? That's.. insane.. The man paused there for a moment, eyeing Genesis somewhat suspiciously before speaking, though this time, to his guards. "Get the girl, then leave the hangar." The guards looked mortified at the thought of being nearer to that crab that Genesis had produced, but proceeded to approach the ship regardless. The man's attention then turned to Genesis. "Tell me.. this operation yo speak of... What exactly will it involve me doing?" he was curious, but compared to this ship, a new one would be quite splendid. And one that would resist the Crystellions.. Vienna noticed the guard inching ever closer to her ship, causing her to stop the tears, draw out her guns, and open the glass blocking her off from the others. "Alastair... the antidote." she stated expectantly. The lizard, and as he had been called, Alastair, chuckled. "Child, be patient. time is not short for Cara at the moment."
|
Genesis knew questions would have to be answered, but he would have to avoid the main reason for him wanting his work. Genesis spoke only the truth, but avoided unneeded details in his opinion. "I simply need you to make sure that no ship lands upon this planet... Once I am done with my work I will allow you to go about as you please in your new starship. I just need the next 5 days for my work to be completed." He looked at Vienna, then thought of one problem he might have. "Oh... And also... I need the woman... Nex's love... Cara... I need her dead. With her dead Nexion's spirit might just break enough for him to be unable to battle entirely... Any battle with that man in it might be very difficult.... Destroy the antidote if you will..." If this did not work, he was going to save the threats for last... After all... He assumed that he had more manpower than the lizard.
|
Alastair smiled to himself. The man was going to threaten him inside of his own ship with all of his men onboard? He must be strong. It would make for a good fight. Vienna thought much different on this. "The antidote, Alastair." She was getting tired of the situation quickly, and what Genesis had just requested of Cara had not helped. "Have a heart, you miserable reptile." Truth being, Alastair did care, to some extent, of what became of his daughter. So he did something as asked, though Vienna would not understand until later, and something that Genesis would entirely not understand unless he understood the situation. He simply turned to Vienna, nodded, then turned his back to the room, walking out a door and into the hallway. Vienna was entirely shocked by this, her eyes going wide, but doing as she saw fit. She got into her ship and left.
Cara would awake but moments later, gasping and what sounded like choking for a minute or so before her breathing evened out. The color would have come back to her skin for the most part, the blackness of her veins gone entirely. With wide, obviously surprised eyes, she looked at Nex. Only after Vienna left did Alastair re-emerge form the hallway. "I will take up your offer.. but I am afraid I am unable to kill my daughter." |
Genesis was not happy with his final response, however in this current situation he had little choice. So... The lizard has a heart... This is most discouraging. Genesis sighed and gave him a smile before responding entirely to his condition. "Very well... I will not force you to take up a side-condition... All I want is your power and your expertise on the battlefield to help us. But be forewarned, Nexion is a beast on the battlefield. His howls pierce the souls of the strongest of men. I just hope you are up for the challenge..." He then looked at the men around him, specifically at the crab creature. The crab released a quiet click from his mouth, the creatures around him vanishing back into the black gate. "But pray tell me this... With Sylus drifting into the nothingness of space who will return your antidote?"
Nex was still depressed, just waiting for any sign that his love was alive. Then as her eyes opened his mood improved greatly, but not too greatly enough that his expression changed. He simply pulled her into his arms and held her there, holding back sadness that was building up in the back of his throat. Sylus continued to float, his eyes gazing off into space as he saw the neverending nothingness around him. Luckily for him he was not a human... He was nowhere near a human... He did not require oxygen, his internal storage could allow him to survive for days on a boring voyage into nothing. It was only then that he would need saved or he would die. He was out of the gravitational field of the main planet... Just floating off... Everything else seemed nothing to him... He was just relaxed... Maybe I will find peace out here.... God Vienna.... I hope you end out okay.... |
Alastair grinned down at him. "I am looking forward to it." he replied rather shortly after being told of Nex's strength. He wouldn't expect anything less of him. At his question, however, his smile left for a brief moment. "The poison I started within Cara was in the form of my blood.. Before she was made, I tampered with my blood to a degree upon which could make a sort of poison of it. I simply.. gave it a little push. All i had to do as an 'antidote' was to return the push I gave with a little pull." It was very figurative, the way he spoke of the push and pull, but he did not feel like getting into detail.
Vienna's eyes scanned the space around her as she ever so slowly started along the way they had come. Sylus had been ejected somewhere along here... Frowning as she could not see him, she turned on her ship's radar, four signals instantly showing up. One of s=which was definitely not a ship. Without much delay, she started in that direction, her eyes scanning the around around her. Please be alright, Sylus... please. Cara was a bit confused still, but she eagerly returned the hug. "Nex..? What's going on?" she was worried with both the sudden loss of the earlier pain and by her love's expression. He looked rather depressed, and that saddened her greatly. |
Genesis sensed a presence leaving the ship, the beast had a bigger heart than he thought. His smile left him, and now that he knew that the lizard had a heart, after the 5 days were up he would be among the many souls who would find no peace on this planet. He would kill Alastair, he has too in order to see his vision come true... He needed no more enemies to add to the list. Better safe than sorry as Genesis always thought to himself. He found himself interested in this current situation, knowing that delving into it any further would probably only anger the lizard, he simply commented on it. "My... You must be more than meets the eye my friend..." He said, his smile returning yet again as he turned toward the area he escorted Vienna from. "I want you to land this ship near the area of 27 degrees latitude and 38 degrees longitude... That is my base... I will supply you with all of the men you need there."
Sylus continued to have his eyes closed, but something bothered him as he floated out into space. He sensed a lifeform, he did not know what it was due to his concentration focused on living, but he knew something was there. He opened his eyes, scanning the area in front of him until he saw a familiar ship. Vienna.... But how. Sylus could not move in this situation, if he did the only thing he would accomplish is his own death, that was the minus of his current condition. If the enemy found him he would be a sitting duck. He only hoped that Vienna would find him soon. Nex's voice cracked with sadness as she explained the current situation. "You were poisoned by your own father... I don't know how you came out of it but Vienna went off to give herself up for the antidote... She is in the hands of your father... I would have stopped her but I didn't know what to do... I didn't want to lose you yet.... I couldn't stop her at all... I'm so sorry.... If only I could have done something...." |
Alastair only nodded at this before turning to the closest man to him. "You heard him.. Enter the coordinates." In a hurry, the man took off into the hallway, going to the bridge to enter the coordinates he had heard.
Vienna had found what she had been looking for, and it racked her mind at first. "Sylus!" Was he alive? Was he breathing could he move? All these questions ran through her head as she slipped on an oxygen mask that was connected to her ship before opening the glass. Soon the would be out of her ship, a hand firm on his shoulder, pulling him towards her ship. Once there, she would strap an oxygen mask to him as well, and pray that he would be alright. It took a moment for Cara to realize what this all meant. "Vienna..." Her voice trailed off, her gaze going distant. She then panicked, quickly grabbing the bag she carried around which was now next to the bed, and rummaged through it. Eventually she would find the small orb that seemed to be the course of communication from Vienna to Cara, but Cara stopped as she saw it. "She's... alright.. at the moment." she said slowly, confused again. |
Genesis heard as the crab creature walked up behind him again, the two whispered to each other, the crab nodded and vanished into a temporary black gate. For now Genesis was without his personal bodyguard, only the random creatures within the ship that seemed to mean no harm to anybody. He awaited their landing, eager to begin yet again. "I'm going to have to ask you to set up a defensive perimeter around the North Pole... If they land there it will be no big deal... If they get out then we have a big deal..."
Sylus continued to float, glad that he had finally been found. As soon as Sylus was back into the ship he turned around and removed his own Oxygen mask and breathe in the air of the ship along with her scent. His arms tightly wound around her and pulled her about as close as possible. He then buried his head in her chest, asking the one question that came to mind, "How did you get out of there alive...?" Nex watched the orb, the central communication that told her if everything was okay. He rose an eyebrow, still slightly confused of how that worked, but that wasn't his main question right now. He was just glad everyone was okay, he was honestly very worried about Vienna, but now all of his thoughts were centered around Cara. "I'm just glad you two are going to be okay... You... Both of you gave me quite a scare...." |
Alastair again nodded, now just noting Genesis' demand in his head. He would worry about that later, there was something else of importance on his mind... but that would come later.
Once inside the ship, Vienna only had time to close the glass and take off her oxygen mask before getting pulled into Sylus' arms.. not that she minded. She smiled, eagerly returning the embrace, obviously not minding the placing of Sylus' head. Her smile faded at his question, a little confused about it herself as she answered. "Genesis.. wanted to recruit Alastair. Alastair wanted to keep Cara alive once he got his hands on me, but Genesis wanted her dead.. So he dismissed the poison, and let me go.." She was a bit confused at this, but it wasn't her main concern at the moment. She thought she'd never see Sylus again, and seeing him again just meant that much extra to her. Cara gave him a small smile as her arms went around him. "I'm sorry, my love.. I didn't mean to scare you. I am sure Vienna didn't either..." she half whispered, her arms gently rubbing his back as she did so. |
Sylus wondered what was in the back of Alastair's mind, wondering why the lizard was willing to give up someone he felt he needed for someone he didn't seem to care about. The question was puzzling to Sylus, but he only thought about it for a second more as he rose his head from its resting place and gave her a gentle kiss before saying the number one thing that was on his mind, "I'm just glad you are okay Vienna... If anything would have happened to you.... I wouldn't know what to do...." He said while his eyes were locked onto hers."
Nex returned the hug gently, a small smile on his face for the comfort she attempted to give. "Nobody meant to scare me... It just sort of happened. I didn't want to see Vienna in the hands of that lizard and I really didn't want to see you dead.... I would have felt terrible either way..." He paused feeling her rub his back which caused him to relax. He kept his gentle embrace around her, his hands returning the favor by gently running down her back. "You know.... We have about an hour before we have to land on the North Pole... I was considering passing on this battle.... Yet.... Now that I know everyone is going to be okay I think.... I'm going to fight with all my heart to get back what belongs to me." Through all the chaos Nex had forgotten his ship, something he never thought he would ever do. All he wanted was Cara, Vienna, Sylus, and everyone else to be alright. He was at peace, something he felt would never really come in this time of battle. |
Vienna returned the kiss with the same gentleness, though she was a bit disappointed that the closeness was now gone. At his comment though, the disappointment disappeared, her heart seemingly melted, something that had definitely never happened to her before. She wasn't sure what to say. "Sylus.. " Instead of continuing her sentence, she simply embraced him in another hug. Though she couldn't help but wonder.. What would he do at the end of the next 6 days?
Cara smiled a bit to herself, noting how gentle he was being with her. As he spoke, she simply listened, her arm continuing to rub his back, her head only turning to look at him once he was done. A smile was upon her face. "I am glad, Nex..." After all, they had gone through much to get his ship parts, though with all the confusion and other nonsense going on, it was very easy to get distracted. She leaned in a little after this, just gently barely brushing her lips against his before gently kissing him. |
Sylus removed the disappointment soon, his arms hugging her back tightly enough that the two were rather close. He felt that she had melted a bit in his arms, something he had never done before, but was glad he could do it. Sylus gave her a gentle kiss upon the forehead, showing her as much love as he could but felt this was not the good time for anything too physical. Finally, he sighed and said something, "Maybe we should get back to the ship Vienna... As much as I want to spend time with you... We have something that needs to be done in an hour..."
"I'll be better when this whole mess is done with... I am tired of chasing after something... Maybe when I get this ship back I can finally take a rest... I want some time to spend my life with you Cara... Just you and me and something simple..." He said with a small smile, "I want you to live with me back at my house... You... Me... And... Well...." A familiar ball of fun appeared out of nowhere as it seemed, pushing itself in the middle of their hug. Ono the floating ball with his childish nature returning to greet him. Nex wondered how that happened, he thought he shut the ball off line, but then he spotted Yu on the outside with a smile on his face. Ono asserted Nex's desires, "Yeah! You should stay with us! I don't want you to leave!" Ono then proceeded to form a group hug of sorts, one of its arms around Nex while the other was around Cara. Nex smiled awaiting her thoughts of moving in with him. Ray had sat there for some time, deep in thought until he finally realized that there might be one answer. The elder council... They were there during the birth of the original Genesis... Perhaps they would know a way to stop Genesis. Ray decided that this was the only way, speaking it out loud to Bellatrix. "I believe I know a source of how to stop Genesis.... The Council of the Original Elders... The oldest relatives of my people still reside in the spirit world. They are the only known beings that existed during the time of Genesis... I must travel to the spirit realm..." |
Vienna had entirely forgotten where they were in that small time, and her eyes widened in surprise as he mentioned it. "Oh! Of course.." She felt a bit stupid at how suddenly everything in her mind had seemed to have dropped, but was a bit eager to get back, actually. She wanted to see Cara well again. She placed a quick kiss on Sylus' cheek before backing away to sit on her seat, awaiting for him to sit as well before moving the ship any.
Cara's eyes locked upon his as he spoke, feeling a slight bit of seriousness as he said this... until that little ball of joy came into the room. She smiled widely, giggling a little at Ono, as what now seemed to be expected from her around the robot. "Of course... I'm not planning on leaving your lives anytime soon." She replied simply, her eyes staying on Ono only for a moment before looking back up at Nex. A bubble of happiness had temporarily pushed aside all other thought inside of her normally crowded mind. Bellatrix was a bit mind-boggled at his sudden 'eureka' moment. "Do you... need an escort?" She asked, not quite sure how he suspected her of responding to this. |
Sylus knew the two were lost in the moment, not thinking any more of it he walked up to the front of the ship and took his seat. Looking over at Vienna he said something one last time before she was able to take off. "I love you Vienna..." He said in a tone that nobody but Vienna would ever be able to hear.
Nex knew the answer, but he still wanted to hear it from her mouth. That gave Nex a great reason to smile today, feeling as though they were going to spend the rest of their lives together after this. Ono's happiness added humor, and although this day seemed entirely serious it seemed to be going the right way now. The only thing that was left to do was get his final ship part back... Genesis was within Ray's expertise, and had confidence in his abilities. Nex gently pressed his lips against her lips, not caring if Ono watched at all, but Ono was confused at exactly what was going on. His childishness perked up yet again, wanting to ask a question, but instead rolling off in a random direction. Ray was never good at conversation, yet he simply laughed the unusual pause of his dialog and shook his head. "I can travel to the spirit world myself.... Yet if you want to come I wouldn't mind the company." he said, his hand somewhat out just in case she did want to come. |
Vienna was about to start the ship when she heard him, and she had to admit she was a bit surprised by his tone of voice. Smiling, she turned to look at him. "I love you too, Sylus." Then, somewhat slowly, she turned to face her ship's control, getting it moving back towards the ship.
Cara's smile didn't waver nor fade as she just looked at Nex for a moment before the kiss, returning it slowly and gently. She didn't mind the presence of Ono, they had kissed in front of him before.. and as long as Nex was alright with it, she was. This was one of those moments of happiness she knew she would have never experienced without Nex in her life. Bellatrix was a bit confused and curious as to why he laughed, though she did not ask. Looking at his somewhat outstretched hand, the stood. "Well.. I suppose I have nothing better to do." she said with a grin, almost hesitating before taking his outstretched hand. |
Sylus simply gazed out to the emptyness of space, knowing that once he was out there and he felt what remaining of his pitiful life slip away. Now everything was okay and what seemed to be a living hell before now was better. they still had their problems, but he was confident that things would work out. For once, Sylus was smiling.
Nex smiled, allowing Ono to take up the bed within this random bedroom, he wondered whose they were in, nobody had shown up to claim it in a while.... He assumed that this was another unclaimed bedroom, yet he was proven wrong as a visitor came at the door. "Eh... Nex... I'm all for happy reunions and all, but can you move it into your own room? After all... I kinda want to get some rest before the raid." it was Vulcan Ray kept a smile upon his face, and as the two made contact once more Bellatrix would find himself in another realm of though. This time there seemed to be structure though... Scenery appeared to the left and right, they appeared to be in a bog that was entirely empty, in the distance there were the sounds of a few animals and other noises which appeared to be as though they were on another planet. Yet they were both in their spirit forms... Ray's looked almost eerily similar to his actual form, he had a bit more hair and he wore an odd costume that didn't seem to be of any known fabric. It was all designed beautifully with abstract art. The shirt was blue and covered with something that appeared to be a warped dragon that covered most of his shirt. He had something that appeared to be a simple length of cloth wrapped around his shoulder, his pants were pure white and even though he walked through the bog they seemed to be impossible to stain. There was a white orb in one hand while his other hand was holding a thin sword with an interesting design on it. The sword vanished before there could be any good look at it however, the orb seemed a bit ore interesting though. He eyed it for a moment, the orb beeping at first before he looked in the direction of the animal noises. "Hmmm... The spirits are resting... We might want to be quiet on our journey through to the Old Order..." |
Vienna was in a rather good mood at the moment, a smile also upon her face as they again neared the ship. the landing in the hangar was rather smooth, as taking off from there had been, much different than the odd landing upon her planet. Once they landed, she again opened the glass, turning back to look at Sylus for a brief moment before getting out.
Cara had assumed the bedroom to be empty as well, needless to say she was surprised when vulcan showed up. "Sorry." she replied, with an apologetic smile as she looked to Ono, the Nex before starting to walk out of the room. Instead of going off on her own, she waited for Nex. The smile still had not faltered or faded from her face, her mood obviously very good at the moment. Bellatrix took the transition rather well, simply having to move her head a little as they arrived, wanting to tell what her surroundings were. She was, of course, still blind.. but her overall appearance had changed a bit. Her hair, which was usually usually wavy and black in color, falling a few inches below her shoulders, was now a light almost coppery brown, and much longer, now easily reaching her waist if it were not pinned up in a rather irregular bun. As for her other features, she simply looked but a few years younger. Clothing her was a vibrant red robe lined with a golden seem, it was rather long in length, though the bog didn't seem to stain it as she stood there. At his comment, she nodded, taking mental note of that. |
Sylus watched as his temporary home came into view. He found himself almost missing this location, knowing that this is where his most happy memories came to mind. For this was the location where he had spent the most time with Vienna. He loved Vienna dearly, nothing could replace her in his heart. As the two of them landed Sylus came up behind her and held her hand gently as the two walked out of the ship.
Vulcan smiled, "Not a big deal... I'm just glad to see that you are okay. You gave us quite a scare back there." Said Vulcan as he fished Ono out of the sheets of his bed and pushed the small robot out of the room. Nex looked as the robot went on his way, more than likely doing his general exploration of the ship as he had always wanted to do before Nexion had disabled him. Nex saw that Sylus and Vienna had returned, pointing them out he saw that Cara was right about Vienna. Everything was going to be okay. "Hey! Welcome back! What happened?" Said Nex, eagerly running up to greet them. Ray listened as the sounds of the bog entered his ears, a loud shriek echoing out soon afterword. Ray frowned, knowing that this was not a good sign. "The spirits are restless... They can tell that we are here. Come on... If they still remain in the same place as the last time I visited. They aren't well known for moving much... Despite their vast knowledge they are still as stubborn as mules." He walked in the direction of the sound, eyes scanning for any sign of movement. The movement seemed to come to him, a large centipede-like creature traveling through the trees above his head. It entirely ignored the two, speeding by as Ray remained unmoving. As soon as the creature left he sighed, turning back toward Bellatrix. "Have you... Ever been to the spirit world?" He asked, walking back toward her and examining her new form. He found it very beautiful... Although everyone was beautiful in the spirit world. Ray's own features were heightened to the point where he was near flawless, Ray found a natural beauty better anyway. He found her good looking in the real world as well, he just had never thought about it until now. |
Cara only had time to grin and say a quick "Thank you" to Vulcan before running off after Nex.
Vienna figured Sylus would go back to his usual self when they landed, but feeling his hand against hers hinted otherwise. Smiling, she gently wrapped her fingers around his hands, her mind again at ease as they walked out of the hangar. Seeing Nex come running, she smiled, smile widening as she saw Cara come up right behind him. She's alright.. At Nex's question, however, her smile did falter a bit. She would not tell them that Genesis had wanted Cara to die, nor that Cara's father had joined up with him.. not yet. Instead, she would keep it very simple. "Umm.. Alastair had his hands full. Guess we were just lucky." she said simply, with a slight shrug of her shoulders. If only it had gone that smoothly. Bellatrix was only faintly alarmed with the scream, staying still as Ray had, figuring it would be best to follow suit. At his question, she looked at him, then slowly nodded. "Very briefly.." She almost wished she could see his face again.. she had gotten a glimpse of his appearance from the reflection in the window, but she, though she could not tell the difference, knew there would be some change in their spiritual form. At this thought, she began to wonder about her knew appearance, taking in the fact that her hair was no longer the same length and was now in a different style. |
Sylus rose an eyebrow, there was more to the story than that, he wondered why she wouldn't tell the two. Sylus decided not to protest at this moment, Nex also wondering what was up. "He had his hands full...? Well... Aren't we lucky then. Whatever it was it must have been pretty big. What was he busy with?" Nex wondered exactly what was going on.
Ray continued to move forward, quickening his pace but being sure that Bellatrix was not too far behind, the noises were getting louder. "Well, stay close then... I don't want you to get lost in this world. Its rather easy to do that." Ray's eyes locked on a light in the distance, this was the source of all of those noises. Not a group of animals, but a light that was hard to look directly into. Ray walked up closer to it, looking at it for as long as he could before turning his face away. " What is this...?" He asked, wondering as the light slowly made its way closer to Ray. |
Vienna frowned a bit. She had not wanted to delve deeper into this story at the moment, but to answer his question, she felt it was necessary. "Genesis had showed up.. He asked for Alastair's assistance." Cara froze, hearing this, her mood now readily worsened. "And his reply was..?" "I am not entirely sure... but.. I believe he took the offer." Cara's mood dented even more, now happy that the answer to that couldn't be given as a straight yes or no, but she wouldn't blame her. With Genesis and Alastair together, she would not have imagined what she would have done in her shoes.
Bellatrix only nodded in reply, deciding to stay close, and immediately closening the distance between them. Though not too much. "What.. is what?" she asked, confused, unable to sense light. It was obvious to her that the sounds were all coming from there, but she did not know what he meant. |
"Hmmm... The only reason that Genesis needs Alistair is because Genesis needs all of his resources directed at the Cathedral... He has a great desire to unlock all of its secrets so he can squeeze every inch of power out of it. Alistair has simply agreed to be Genesis's puppet and nothing else. When Genesis is done with him he is just simply going to send his new and perfected armies to crush all of Alistair and his men. The only other reason Genesis would have for wanting Alistair under his control is that the lizard has something he wants... And I cannot see what that would be." Cara lifted his head, "As evil as your father is, there is some kind of heart in him... That heart prevented him from killing you... Part of Genesis's terms were that Alistair prove his willingness to follow orders by killing his own daughter... I've seen him do it before... It wasn't pretty." Sylus wondered if Vienna really wanted him to tell Cara that Genesis sought his death, but it had to be let out... Because if it didn't she would have to find out the hard way that Genesis wanted her head.
Ray did not know how powerful her abilities of sensing were, he turned back toward her and took her hand, giving her temporary sight once more. The orb continued to move until the noise entirely stopped, it now being replaced by voices. "Who is there? Explain your reason for disturbing our resting place." The orb of light burst into a massive glow of various colors as they were now surrounded by 8 old men, all cloaked within beautifully decorated robes. Most of their faces were hidden by these robes. "I am.... Ray Hiroshi... My great grandfather used to serve under the council... My father continued on his legacy and I am the son which continues to fight for the Crystellions... I come here to seek your guidance on a matter of grave importance." The old men looked at one another, then examined Ray closely to be sure that he was the real thing. "We believe you... I must get answers onto who exactly this woman is though. I do not spurt council secrets off in front of just anybody you know." Ray sighed, it was always answers with these people, "And why are you holding her hand in such a way?" Ray answered with confidence where others would stumble over their words over this question. "She is a friend of mine... A gifted individual who is one of the inhabitants of a suffering planet. I am holding her hand because she is blind and I am temporarily giving her the gift of sight through my eyes." The council nodded, understanding this entirely, "But what gives her the right to hear our guidance in this matter?" Ray spoke quickly afterwords, "She is a proud woman... A strong woman... To deny her the right to find the reason to save her own planet would be an insult. I trust her with any secrets that are spoken here today." The council eyed each other for a long time before huddling in their own circle and mumbling to themselves on this subject. Ray mouthed a quiet apology to her, knowing this must be bothersome for her. |
