Cara looked into his eyes, wondering again what he was thinking at the moment. Slightly confused as he choked on his words, she waited for him to finish. She heard a small noise in the distance, but didn't think anything of it. Whatever it was it seemed to come from the east, the oppposite side of town, and that was quite a ways away. "You..?"

Nex felt his heartbeat increase, he smiled, a blush coming upon his face, a blush only she could see. "I... I think I'm... Falling in love with you...." Nex kept his hand still underneath hers, he was sincere, you could see it in his eyes, yet the noise distracted him at the same time.... He tossed that aside, this was too much of an important moment to him.
The machine-man growled as he had gotten no response, he gritted his teeth and pointed his rocket arm toward the largest building, the Mayor's house. "Alright dumbass! If I can't take you out now I'll just shoot until you come out!" A massive rocket launched forth from his arm and took a direct collision with the roof of the house, the roof would collapse if he continued to bash it... If it was a regular house anyway. [Can you control the mayor again? XD... lol.. It would make things easy for me :3] |
Cara felt her heart flutter, its rate increased a bit after hat he had said. A blush rose to her cheeks, followed by a smile slowly spreading onto her lips. "Nex..." If they weren't in public she would do a bit more, but she settled for leaning in closer to him, planting a gentle kiss on his lips. "I.. think I'm falling in love with you too.." she admitted, somewhat shyly.
The mayor was well aware that people were after him, but two people in one day? Good Lord. His house shook as what seemed to be a rocket hit his roof. It did little damage, but the mayor cursed nonetheless. "Shit.. Maria!" His maid came running in, curtseying. "Let the idiot in.. please. Before he ruins my house!" She nodded, running to open the door. Terrified of the man standing outside, the curtseyed, being sure not to make eye contact. She held the door wide poen for him to enter. The mayor was inside, hiding behind his leather couch. He held a small hand gun, nothing special, but the only weapon he had at the moment. "Fuck..." He whispered, slamming his fist on the ground. |
Nex smiled a bit, a blush upon his face, he looked left, then right, checking to see if anyone was watching them. Shortly after he returned the kiss and loved how she loved him back... It made him feel much better about what he had been saying. He smiled, "Perhaps we should Leave now..." he had his hand still upon hers, not wanting to let go as his own heart monitor beeped yet again.
The Gigantor was no idiot, he knew what he had to do, and he guessed that the person was armed as he walked in with her eyes going to the maid, "Do not worry woman... This will be over in an instant..." His cannon/arm morphed again, the sound of metal gears changing him as his arm was now a machine gun rather than a rocket launcher. He hauled his massive arm toward the Mayor and wasted no time, "You've got a big ass price on your head! And If you do not come with me with no argument I have no choice but to skin your sorry self and take your pelt all the way to the Xephis Galaxy with me!" He was demanding, and loud, his eyes glowing with both anger and focus upon the mayor. |
Cara smiled warmly at him, giggling a bit when his arm beeped. God, how she loved those beeps... and the man whose arm made them. "Okay." She nodded, agreeing, and gently laced her fingers through his.
The mayor sighed in frustration, considering his choices. "Heh.. I don't come that easily, idiot." He frowned, pressing his panic button. Space pirates rushed into the room, and the mayor quickly ran to his garage, escaping all the ruckus the pirates created. |
Nex kept his eyes upon hers as the two left the restaurant at the same time, their hands intertwined within each others. Nex couldn't care about those who were hunting him, his only thoughts were on the woman less than a few feet away from him...
[if you do not like me controlling the pirates... just say so^^] "All bartering is off now! You had your chance!" as the space pirates poured into the room after his head, they overwhelmed him at first, but the bionic man was no push over. Bodies flew in every direction imaginable as he sent his fists into the crowd with little care to where they went. The small room was slowly filling with bodies, a few of them flying out the window and landing with sickening thuds onto the ground. Nex saw this scene, wondering exactly what was happening... But whoever was hurting the space pirates couldn't be all bad... After all they were doing him a service. Nex smiled and sighed as he remembered what the two had to do, "Come on.... Lets go to that next town... Maybe on the way we could talk... at get some time with just the two of us..." |
Cara smiled, walking by Nex's side out of the restaurant and back into the street. She was startled a bit, seeing space pirates being thrown out the mayor's window, then relaxed again. Whoever was attacking the pirates was doing the world a favor. She nods, giving Nex a small smile, her mind now focusing on where they had to go. "Sounds good... The town is pretty close... Shouldn't take too long." She slowly started walking in the direction in which they had to go, heading towards the end of town.
(I don't mind... you do good controlling them ^^) "Yes!" The mayor knew his pirates wouldn't have lasted long, but he had made it to one of his ships safely, and was now lifting up and out of his garage. He planned to get away from this town for a while... at least until that crazy maniac decided to leave his house. |
Nex nodded, "Yeah..." he smiled a bit, "Although still... I'll savor the time the two of us has together..." Nex was thinking of prolonging the time they had together... Maybe a bit of a delay, after all the two did not get a lot of time of just the two of them. Nex kept his hand gently within her hand, and as they continued on Nex moved his arm until it was around her shoulders, pulling her closer until the two were walking with little or no space between them.
[lol... thankyew :3] The bionic man roared as the remainder of the space pirates became a pile of corpses in the corner of the room, "That... That Swine! Sending pirates to fight his battles for him! I shall make his death all the more painful!" He knew that the mayor would have probably taken the garage area, wanting a quick escape outward, and he wasn't going to let that happen. He leaped forth from the window and ran in the direction of the front door of the garage, his rocket-arm out yet again as he prepared for the front door to open. If the ceiling were to open... he had other ideas... |
Cara blushed a little, smiling back at him. "I suppose we might be spending a lot of time together... especially we start towards the further cities." She liked that thought a lot. Spending time with nex was something she wanted to do... and what they have to do doesn't seem all that fun... but being with him made it all worth while. Cara found herself blushing a little more, feeling his arm around her shoulders, but enjoyed the comfort of closeness.
The mayor's ship was hovering off of the ground when he spotted the man from inside. Good god, what does it take to slow this guy down? Quickly landing the ship, he hid himself under his seat, praying he wouldn't find him there. |
Nex nodded, the 400 miles didn't seem like such a huge distance right now, and as time went on he realized it was getting later in the day, night was to come soon. He looked down to her blushing face, it made him smile the way she blushed... Although he could not blush, the noises coming out of his arm made up for it, at least he thought so. Nex could already see the other city in the distance, it wasn't going to take long for the two to get there. Nex meanwhile kept his arm around her, his fingers running along her shoulder as the two walked.
The bionic man was obviously no idiot, looking upon the ship that was hovering for a few seconds, he knew exactly where the mayor was before he even had a chance to hide. He smiled, walking in closer, thinking the mayor was such an immense idiot for not taking advantage of the larger bulk of the ship to attempt to run him over. He then looked to the left of the ship that the Mayor was in... a blue piece of scrap metal... He recognized that shade of blue... Something he would never forget. The monsterous man stepped forward quickly and popped his head in over to his face. "I believe you have some information that might come in handy to me... Information worth so much more than you could ever weigh..." he lifted the scrap of metal up from the fighter plane that was once there, "Who does this belong to? Answer my questions and you can keep your pitiful position and skin." |
Cara watched the sky. It was darkening fast, and she was sure the stars would start popping out soon. She let out a content sigh, gently moving her hand that was closest to Nex up onto his back. This made them a bit closer, and she smiled, completely comfortable.
The mayor's curiosity quirked as the man's comment on the scrap metal, especially after he mentioned letting him go. Taking no time in getting out of his hiding spot, he hopped out of the ship. "Ah, that. Some cyborg bastard took the liberty of taking my fighter earlier... Well I suppose it was his.. Anyways, he and some woman stopped by to take it earlier." |
Nexion felt her hand on his back, he was relaxed himself, seeing the town finally come within their sights. His eyes went to the sky, the stars were out at this time, "I think it would be best if we found an Inn.... Its getting late.... and its been a long day..." he spoke truthfully, turning toward her and waiting to see if she knew this town as well and could point out an inn.
He wasted no time in pressing the conversation for more information. "Cyborg bastard 'ey? He doesn't belong here, Like you, Like me, Like a lot of people." he paused, crushing the piece of metal in his hands, "I'm a busy man as you can see.... And time is money, So If I waste time, I waste money..." he looked directly at him, "I've been wasting so much time on this hunt... And the money only gets bigger... It goes against everything I was taught as a boy... And If it continues to go against who I am... Well.... Lets just say the result is never pretty..." he clenched his fist again as what was left of the scrap metal was now a small ball in his mechanical hands, "This prize is bigger than 100 of you. I need all of the information you have on this cyborg bastard. If you do that for me I can promise you will basically never exist in the crime databases. Therefore I will have no need to destroy you. Now... Do we have a deal?" |
Cara nodded, agreeing. "I know this town a little bit... I don't come here too often. But I do know an inn.." As she thought about it, she felt pretty tired. It had been a long day and her body was finally catching up to her. As they entered the rather small town, Cara grinned, remembering the last time she was here. She had an old friend in town... but she was sure the reunion wouldn't be pretty considering what they were here for. She lead Nex to an inn, going up to the front desk to check inn. The man at the counter looked up at the two of them. "We only have one room left... will you two be taking it?" Cara looked at Nex, not sure whether or not he'd mind staying in the same room again.
The mayor flinched, watching the man crush the metal. He wasn't sure who was more intimidating, the man from earlier or the man in front of him. However, not wanting to get crushed at the moment, he pulled out a slip of paper for the man. "Deal." He handed him the paper, which looked exactly the same as the one that she girl from earlier had taken. "The names and addresses of all the parts that man is after. He has a similar list.." |
Nex looked at Cara, and then at the inn keeper, seeing that Cara had a smile upon her face, he guessed that there was something on his mind, he decided not to delve. "Yes... We will take the last room." Nex took the key and signed his name upon the list of many other names. placing the pen down he smiled and kept his arm around Cara's shoulders as he coaxed her up with him into the room. "You look like something is on your mind?" he finally decided to delve.
The bionic man was one for keeping a deal, taking the slip of paper he looked up and down, "These are all space pirates... I have a similar list..." He smiled a bit, a sudden idea coming to mind to him. "You have proved useful to me... If these contacts are any of your friends, I would suggest preparing a funeral... I have a plan..." he walked out of the room with no more words, a devilish grin upon his face as he continued. |
Cara smiled, walking to the room with him. "Apparently an old friend of mine lives in this town now.." she then sighed, her smile disappearing. "I just hope he cooperates.." she added softly. She did not wish to fight with him, but if necessary.. Her smile returned. This was not time to think about that.. her and Nex were finally gonna be able to rest and she was happy for that.
Watching him leave, the mayor let out a sigh of relief. He quickly scrambled into his ship, turning if on and getting the hell outta there. He didn't wanna be there when the man figured out that he had given him the wrong list. |

Nex saw the smile vanish from her face for a moment, he was worried, but it returned soon after. So it was a repressed memory of some kind? "Cooperates? Why wouldn't he cooperate?" he was curious, "You don't have to talk about it if you do not want to... It just sounds a bit painful..." he held open the door as they finally arrived there. Waiting for her to enter the room first. |

Cara smiled, seeing Nex hold the door open for her. "Thanks.." She walked in, setting her stuff down, then turning back to him. "Well.. he disappeared during the first space pirate raid.. some people say he joined them.." she glanced at the ground for a moment, then continued. "Anyways.. it looks like he's the one who bought the part we're here for." She hoped that there would be an explanation for this, but she was almost sure that there wasn't. Yes, they were friends... but if he had joined them then she would have no problem fighting him if necessary. Cara let out a yawn, stretching, then sat on the end of the bed. |

Nex had nothing on him, he only tossed aside his coat and kept it on the ground, following her along as she mentioned she had a friend that was a space pirate. He wondered exactly what made a member of this planet want to become a pirate... He sighed, it must have been quite a desperate situation in order for this to happen. "i'm sorry to hear that... If there is anything we can do to somehow bring him back... I'm all for it..." he sat right next to her and put his arms around her, "I'm sorry to hear that though..." |
Cara slightly smiled, watching him shed his coat. She was glad that some of those clothes covering his form were finally gone.. Of course she hadn't thought about that in a sexual manner, she just loved being able to actually see him. "But that was then.. That happened around 10 years ago... I probably won't even recognize him.. Thank you for he thought, though." She tried smiling at Nex, trying to brighten the mood. That was then, this was now. She was with Nex and she was happy.. Her hand gently grabbed his again, holding it.

Nex nodded, saying nothing more on the subject, as he had no more words. Nex felt her hand reach to his, even though his arms were already ready to give her a hug, he accepted her own hand and kept it within his, holding it there, he looked down at these hands which held them together. Many things kept the two of them together, some emotional, some only for convenience, although the larger ones for him were obviously emotional at this point. Now a physical impliment kept the two together as well, their hands interconnected.
Nex scooted himself up higher onto the bed, tugging her a bit along with him, it was getting late, and people needed sleep. He was wondering if she was tired yet. |
Cara kept her gentle hold on his hand, also scooting herself higher onto the bed. She wasn't very tired yet, but if Nex wanted to rest she might as well at least try to sleep. Her body seemed to like that idea, as a quiet yawn came out of her. She blushed a little, then looked at Nex. She said nothing, just kept her eyes locked onto his for a moment.

Nex was not tired himself, he had eaten, therefore he could not get tired, so he would spend another night awake for that entire time. He saw the blush upon her face and smiled a bit as she yawned, "You tired...?" Nex helped her the rest of the way up, pulling her and putting his arms around her, letting go of her hand in the process so she could freely move it if she wanted.

Cara felt herself blush again. "A little.." She relaxed in Nex's arms, gently leaning her head against him. "But.. I probably won't be able to sleep for a while yet." Her body was tired, but her mind was not. Her thoughts were still racing from everything that happened earlier... Especially in the tavern. If she tried to sleep like this, she would just end up laying there for hours before finally drifting off to sleep.

Nex nodded in understanding, guessing that she needed to get a bit more tired and allowed today's thoughts to no longer bother her. Nex thought of ways he could help her become tired, and in his thought all he could think of was ways to get her mind off of it, he didn't think talking about it would make things worse. "Well.... we don't have to go to sleep yet...." Nex smiled, pulling her a bit closer until the two were face to face. Nex smiled, he only ever got nervous in a few situations, and now that he was comfortable with Cara, one of those situations no longer bothered him.
Nex gently pressed his lips to hers, the one way he thought of which to get her mind off of things. A large piece of Nex wanted silent time where just the two of them could be in each other's arms and kiss and do other romantic things... Nex had always wanted time like that. |

Cara smiled, gently wrapping her arms around Nex. She was now used to being close to him, and was comfortable and unblushing at the moment. She gently returned the kiss, savoring the taste of his lips on hers. Cara enjoyed the silence, and hoped they could could stay like this for a while. |
