Dues Ex Sewing Machina - the epic battle of xxxarcxangelxxx Vs King of Bedlam
Waiting for xxxarcxangelxxx before starting this :3
Edit :: Started Space, an endless black void that has seemingly nothing if you are not willing to travel a seemingly unthinkable distance. Some have dared to travel its black voids, each of them for their own reasons, some of them.... For reasons that seem less.... epic than others... The echoing noise of music could be heard through the empty hull, the noise bounced pleasently off of the walls and through the entirety of a ship, a man sitting in a seat just at the main control room, a small room with several flashing displays and a few buttons, the ship was much larger than the control room, it would seem to require more control to move the ship properly, but ships had evolved beyond many men crews and now shrunk down to a single man crew, the man itself seemed to be focused on other things, his head nodding along with each thump of the bass with the music, his eyes were lazily staring off into the void of space, in front of him a mostly blue planet that seemed to be the focus of his barely focusing eyes. The silence was finally broken, "Nexon, this is Falcon, you are entering restricted airspace." The man smiled a bit and reached up to tip his hat, revealing his piercing, blue eyes, his pupils in the shape of diamonds. "About damn time I reached there.... How many clicks until I reach this planet..." the response was delayed, and finally it came through, with a bit more static than last time, "You have about 20...." the voice faded out, then faded back in shortly afterword, "... Be sure you keep your eyes open, I hear space pirates have increased in activity around here..." the man smiled, looking to the planet with a heightened interest, "I'm no pirate, but why would they want to focus around a crappy planet like this?" the voice responded with a note of sarcasm, "Don't you hear, underdeveloped planets are all the rage..." He paused for the moment, "Hell if I know man, just watch your back!" The man only talked for a moment more, everything went black, the ship no longer moved as it stopped to a jolt. The man only was conscious for a moment before even he went black himself... many hours later.... The same man groaned as the scenery around him no longer resembled that which he was used to, he groaned and pulled himself up with the nearest branch he could grab, his eyes scanned the area, he was in the middle of a forrest. "Damn..." he paused, pulling himself entirely up as he was finally in the light. He had light blue eyes and a body that was easily hidden by his trenchcoat, his hat was wide brimmed and a pure white color, but it seemed flawless in its grooves and went perfectly with the equally white and blue trenchcoat, his shirt was white as well, and his pants were black. Underneath him it was obvious that he was in a pretty good shape, his face was thin and would seem a bit different to most common males, but he was nothing special asthetically. |
Smoke billowed off into the sky, and for a moment, the woman on the grass forgot about everything that had just happened. Her small village, on her right, now burning to the ground. The other citizens, probably including what's left of her family, fleeing from the 'space pirates', as they called themselves. Whoever they were. She had no interest in what they were doing here, or why they had destroyed her home. But she had to admit, the objects they came in were rather interesting. Shiny, clean, objects that came out of the sky, like a flock of large birds.
She sighed, standing, and brushing off the dress. Her village had been rather poor, and she wore a handmade dress made of what used to be white wool. The fabric was now faded and dirty, and she had lost her shoes while running in the fields earlier. She ran her finger through her knotty black hair a couple of times, before starting on her way to the trail leading away from the ruins that used to be her village. |
The man walked aimlessly through the forest for some time before something finally caught his interest, he looked upward, smoke billowing forth into the sky and covering some of it with a thick black smoke, this could not be a good sign. He reached into his pocket, fiddling around with it, he found absolutely nothing, it seemed that the pirates had raided him of his items as well, but there is one thing that they could not raid from him....
Placing a hand on his silver wristwatch, a few beeps came out as though in response, a few seconds later an energy beam emitted from it and encased him entirely in a light blue color. It only lasted a few more seconds as his outfit had entirely changed, wearing tight, white leathers that covered everything but his hair, which flowed outward in a dark red flood to reveal how long it was, its limit stopping as it reached about mid-back. In his hand, he held an energy sword, bent like a scimitar, it stood proudly at his side as he now stood straight to survey the situation. "Space pirates... Just as I expected..." he ran into the village quickly and took it upon himself to end the burning... "Space Pig!" shouted the entirety of the group as the man came up, there was easily 7 of them, outnumbering him greatly, but he did not held back as two men fell to his blade with a cut to the chest. A third man falling down with a cut to the neck, the space pirates had to run back and avoid getting eviscerated within a few seconds. Gunfire sprayed off in his direction along with laser fire, he jumped behind the nearest wall, but knew it would not last long as he ran behind any cover he could find. In front of him was an interesting woman, a locale of this village, the 'space pig' wasted no time in dealing with a casualty, "Get down!" he shouted and attempted to pick her up and gently tackle her into the ditch, causing them to be out of the view of the pirates for the moment. He would take the brunt of the hit to the ditch if she wouldn't have avoided if, if she would have, he would have ended up face first in the dirt. |
The woman had been paying no mind to whatever had been happening behind her, so when gunfire sounded from behind her, she was more than a bit surprised. Turning around to see what the commotion was, she was only to be tackled into a ditch at the side of the trail she had been on. She gave a startled gasp, but did nothing to avoid it.
The gunfire that she heard made her quickly notice the situation. The man, whoever he was, had just gotten her out of the line of fire. But why would they be shooting..? Her dark green eyes peered at the man, only to answer her question. A space pig. The clean, white leather was a drop-dead give away, no one from around here would be wearing that outfit. Silently admiring his cleanliness, she immediately became aware of her filthy dress. She must look dreadful compared to him. Coming back to reality, she turned to face him. The locals would think she was conspiring with him or something, and would most likely attack her as well. Quickly glancing around the ditch, she thanked God for her luck. The woman grabbed the man's arm, opened the small door to the sewers, and pushed him in, quickly following after. |
The man stood silent, looking at the woman with the dirty dress in front of him. He knew it was an underdeveloped planet, but he wondered why space pirates would have the desire to raid it, and the desire further to ransack a poor village! Unless there was a sadist amongst the group, there were several questions that needed to be answered.
Before he could open his mouth, the woman took it upon herself to push him into the stinky sewers, the man did not last long before he objected to the entrance, but with her blocking the only exit, there was only one way out of the stink, forward. "What the...?" He paused, finally reaching a clearing where the two were not traveling through a thin pipe and turned around to get a full look in the dim reflective light of the sewers, "Okay, Why did you push me into this stinky hole and why didn't you let me finish of the space pirates?" he paused, looking into her green eyes, despite her ragged appearance, the man thought she was kind of cute, but he would say nothing on it now as he reached up and adjusted his long, red hair so it was behind his head, "Oh... And by the way... Are you okay? I gave ya quite a push there and I hoped it didn't hurt..." |
The woman turned to quickly close and lock the exit, before answering the man. "The locals will be back to rebuild, and they utterly disgust people like you. I don't wish for you to fight them. The space pirates will be regrouping sooner or later, as always, and you'd be greatly outnumbered. Now, if you'd ignore the stench for a minute, I'd gladly take you to the next village, or wherever it is you're headed.."
She paused a second, and let her expression soften a bit. "I'm fine, actually. And thanks for, um, saving me." The woman allowed herself to grin at the man, before turning her gaze away. |
The man listened to her words, not happy with the responses, yet she seemed to know more about this land than he did, his best bet was to trust her. "These locals have terrible tastes then..." he teased a bit, using it to springboard himself into a playful compliment. "But why do you accept me than... You seem to be a local.... Why trust me if everything else around you does not?" He paused for a moment and listened to the rest of her words, her expression softened a bit, and that made him smile and respond himself, "I'm sure you would have survived just fine if I was not running in your general direction... I saw you and couldn't let you get shot, yet at the same time my presence caused the bullets to come in your direction." he paused, looking at the sewer walls and such, even though it stank, it seemed to be their only means of transport without being a huge target in the middle of a field... Or a forest, "Alright... How far away is the first village...?"
The man looked her directly in the eyes, at least while he could with his own light, blue eyes, focused upon the new woman in front of him. His hair slid forward a bit and hung down from his head, probably something uncommon for most in this land. He had no facial hair, a clean shaven man with a thin and rather average face. His neck was thin along with the rest of his body, he was quite tall and seemed to have great potential for speed, but little potential for strength, although it did not take much for someone to be eviscerated by a plasma blade. He still held it within his hand, but it vanished as soon as he felt that there was no longer a threat, his hands relaxing at his sides. |
The woman slightly smiled at his playful comment. "I could ask you the same question. I, however, trust you because you got me out of the line of fire, even if you had caused the shooting to come in my direction, you stil got me out of the way." She looked into his light blue eyes, before adding; "you're different from the other space travelers."
Relaxing a bit after seeing his weapon vanish, the woman thought for a moment. the space pirates seemed to be going east, heading west would probably be their best bet. Looking to the tunnel on their left, she took a deep breath, forgetting about the stench in the air. Wrinkling her nose from the smell, she pointed towards the tunnel. "About 20 minutes to the next town. There should be an exit about halfway there that leads into a forrest, if you'd rather travel through there." |
He eyed her smile for a moment, trying to find any distraction to pull him away from the stink in this hole in the earth. It distracted him for the moment, but as she spoke yet again he was pulled back to earth and covered his nose with his right hand, his voice now muffled due to his hand. "Different? I'm nothing special, what is your definition of different?" he paused, not curious with what she was thinking of as he talked through his hand.
He smiled as she spoke yet again, "Of course I want to get out of this stink hole... Being back with the pirates would almost be better than this..." he said, gagging a bit as the stink now seemed to travel through his hand, "Good god.... I hope you don't regularly come down here...." he said as he kept his eyes on anything that was not the oddly colored water, his eyes entirely focused to the tunnel that she pointed in the direction of, he wasted no time and began a quick stride in that direction. |
The woman shrugged, "Just...different. Not Normal." The stink was getting to her, and looking at the man, she could tell he really wanted to get out of here as well. She quickly covered her nose, the nauseating scent starting to make her feel slightly ill. The woman looked towards the exit, desperately hoping the space pirates would be gone by now.
She chuckled lightly. "Well, sorry. I wasn't really planning on traveling to the village using the sewers, but considering the situation I'd rather travel safely." She watched him start to walk down the tunnel she had pointed to, jogging ot keep up with him. The woman clenched her jaw at his last comment, sending a slight glare at him. "I may be filthy, compared to you, but I have dignity, too. Do you honestly think any sane human would enjoy spending time in here?" |
The man kept his stride up, listening to her as best he could despite being distracted by the stench. He still was not satisfied with her response, even though he had saved several people with less than acceptable responses to his appearance. "None if it was your fault, no need to apologize..." he spoke yet again in response to her words as she chuckled, "As for me, I like to live with a little danger, no reason to not have excitement, but when i feel the need to protect another person... Well... I'm willing to change my ideas."
The silence lasted for a minute longer before her words snapped him in the back of the ear, he was only kidding, he meant nothing about it, and he stopped entirely, turning around and pulling the hand from his mouth and placing a hand on her shoulder, halting her in her tracks. "I meant nothing insulting by it... I was only kidding, I'm a fun guy, its something I like to do, teasing and poking at people and stuff like that," he paused for a moment, "What I mean is don't take some of the stuff i say as serious, I like to play around... And I don't think you are dirty. In fact, I think you are kind of cute." While most people were a bit nervous in expressing opinions similar to this, this person seemed rather blunt. "I don't honestly think you would spend time in a sewer... Now.... Can ya forgive me?" he paused for a moment, knowing that she did not know his name, he finally spoke it out loud, "And by the way.... My name is Nex, full name Nexion.... But just call me Nex... Please..." |
The woman blinked in surprise when he turned and stopped her, with a firm hand on her shoulder. Keeping her hand over her nose, she tried to keep focused on his words, rather than the stench. Her expression softened again after his explanation, and she looked away, embarrassed that she had taken it personally. Letting a slight blush rise to her face, she turned her gaze up at him again. The woman silently admired him for his bluntness, before grinning at him.
"No need to say sorry, I just took it the wrong way...Since I don't know you well enough to assume you'd be joking around." Her grin broke into a smile as he told her his name. "My name's Cara...just Cara." |
Nex knew that she would blush, with his blunt nature he had gotten used to blushing women, as he often times found himself complimenting them left and right, he knew a lot of good looking women. He did not react much to it, just simply smirked a little bit and thought to himself at how she looked even cuter as she blushed, something he did not wish to add onto, because he felt they would spend even more time in the stench if he would have mentioned it. "Cara 'eh...?" he said in reference to her name, "I like it... Its simple... Easier to remember than most names... But anyway.... Before I fall over due to the stench... I suggest that we get out of her."
He turned around back toward the direction that she had originally pointed and continued to walk forward, this time going a bit slower so he would not lose track of her, He could see a door not too far away, a smile came upon his face. Freedom... Finally.... |
Cara nodded at his suggestion, quickening her stride towards the door at the end of the tunnel. Once they reached the door, she quickly opened it, practically running outside. She took her hand away from her mouth, taking a deep breath. Finally..Thank God. Cara looked around where they had ended up, and quickly recognized it, and smiling. They had ended up in the middle of the forrest, but not a thick one. The trees were spaced far apart, and the trail they had been traveling under lead straight out of the clearing towards their destination. The space pirates barely passed through here, so she didn't bother worrying about them.
Turning to Nex, she smiled brightly, her eyes lighting up like a happy child's. "The village shouldn't be very far from here, and it looks like it hasn't been visited by space pirates yet." She secretly wished the trip would take longer, knowing Nex would probably set off on his own afterwards. Pushing that thought to the back of her mind, she started thinking about the town. She new the next town, and it was a very nice place considering her planet's condition. |
Nexion quickly pulled himself out of the stinky tunnel, slapping the door closed and taking a deep breath as the forest's air enters his lungs, "Ah.... The forest smells so much better than the sewer..." he said as he looked at Cara again, then looked in various directions to see their surroundings. This place seemed to be very thick in forests, he landed in a forest, and now he was back here... He wondered where his ship was. Nex turned back toward her, seeing her shining eyes, as though she was eager for some reason, He nodded, not saying much, "Alright... Sounds good..." he paused at first, not saying much before looking around once more, then to Cara, "How far away is the village and in what direction is it...?" he said, walking to a higher elevation on a hill and taking in as much as he could see from where he was standing, it was not very thick... Which means they were reaching a more likely place for human civilization.
|
Turning towards Nex, Cara looked at his long, red hair. It was in unusual style that she'd never seen before, but she liked it in a way. She watched him go onto a hill, looking around. Glancing at the trail, then the exit where they came out of, she walking over to a rock. Swiftly leaping onto it, she looked for the familiar smoke. As expected, smoke was still billowing out of the village-turned-ruins that they had come from. "Probably around 20 minutes..going west." Cara hopped off the rock, landing gently on her feet. She looked around at the forrest, absent-mindedly pulling a lock of her hair over her shoulder.
Quieter than usual. Odd.. Shrugging it off, she walked over to the dirt trail, and started heading towards the village. |
He absently looked toward the area of the previous village, a piece of him eating away at his heart for leaving those poor people undefended, he placed a hand on his cheek, then decided to phase it out with his mind, along with most of his other emotions, this was heard plaininly as his voice turned dull and listless. "Good, from there I shall start scouting out to where the pirates might have taken my ship..." He walked off in the direction that she was referring to, heading west quickly until he noticed a particular thing that caught his interest about the forest.
Normally, most forests were teaming with life and had such noise almost to the point where you wanted to kick the next bunny that you saw. He pushed it aside, he only thought the forests on this planet might have been different as he continued to walk with little interest to his surroundings. |
Cara looked down at the ground as she walked down the trail. There was nothing particularly interesting about the gravel, but the unusually silent wood was creeping her out a bit. Rather than paying attention to the forrest, she tried focusing on the rocks. Hearing footsteps behind her, she gasped, quickly turning, only to see Nex coming this way. With a sigh of relief, she mentally scolded herself for freaking out.
|
[if you want me to make the 'disturbance', i'll do that right now^^]
Nex looked toward her as she gasped, scared by his quiet mouth yet loud feet. "I am sorry i startled you," was all he said before he stepped around her and looked forward up the path. Suddenly a distraction got to him, he overheard a loud noise in the distance, the clash of hollow metal hitting the ground. He jumped back and pushed Cara gently, although rather quickly, behind the nearest tree, covering her mouth shortly after, he placed a finger in front of his lips, indicating she should be quiet. Nex reached in his pocket, finding nothing, he grumbled as he remembered the space pirates taking most of his useful tools, all he did was pop his head somewhat out of the tree, his eyes on a large piece of machinery in front of him. It looked to be a massive tube, fashioned in the front to have more room as it reached a certain edge and was more narrow as it reached the other edge. He eyed it, then the people dragging it along, there were several regular people in ragged clothing, followed along by space pirates, Nex was ready as he pulled out his plasma blade, waiting for the moment for the group to reach close enough... He would take out his frustration now. |
(ok, cool ^^)
Cara was a bit taken back by being pushed behind a tree, but stayed quiet. She then stiffened, hearing the loud noise come from behind the tree. Quickly peeking out from behind its trunk, she saw the large mass of metal being pulled by what looked like villagers and space pirates, and suddenly wished she hadn't. Biting her lip, she looked at Nex, who already had his weapon ready. Taking a deep breath, she silently waited. |
Nex would show no mercy.
He jumped forth and quickly took out the first man with almost no detection, after the body hit the floor a second person fell to the ground, he was very quick with his movements. All that were left seemed to be three, and they quickly pulled out their plasma swords and pistols. Nex looked to the left, jumping into the trees and staying there for the moment, a flurry of bullets again following him. Nex used the advantage of stealth and took met the second one, who met him with a furious clash, Nex winning with a quick stab to the stomach and them moving to the next one, cutting his pistol away from his hand along with his left hand. The pirate jumped backward and looked at his hand, he stood in horror for a few moments as it finally hit him, shortly after he ran away. All that was left was one, who was now hidden at the moment. Nex looked left and right, but as a massive battlecry echoed out it was obvious where he was as Nex felt his shoulder cleaved by plasma. Damn... The blood flew forth as he jumped back, the space pirate face to face with Nex, "Alright Pig! You get yours for killing my friends!" the pirate's back was in Cara's view. |
Silently watching the battle, Cara wished to not be so helpless. As Nex started fighting, she frantically searched for something to atleast attempt to help with. Noticing that one of the defeated pirates had a plasma blade still in his hand, she grabbed it, turning her gaze back to the fight. At the moment, Nex had just taken a hit from the last one, and Cara had a full view of the pirate's back.
Not entirely sure how to handle a blade, she grabbed the hilt and lodged it deep into the back of the pirate's neck. Quickly letting go, she watched his body drop. |
Nex watched the final pirate drop by his own blade, the pirate released one final cry of pain and fell to the ground with his head only half attatched, He looked at her, taking in deep breaths, he gave her a smile. "Thank you.... If it weren't for you today I would think my injuries would have been much greater." he said, turning toward the machine and then the prisoners, he ignored his own injures for the moment and used the plasma of his blade to release their shackles. The prisoners fell to the ground, too tired to do anything else but rest. Nex turned back toward her, then looked at the pipe, "This cannot be good.... Whatever it is it appears as though they are building a great machine on this planet.... It cannot be for a good purpose."
|
Cara grinned. "No prob." Kneeling next to the prisoners, she pointed out the way back to town for when they were done resting, then stood again. After hearing Nex's comment on the mass of metal, she sighed. "Nothing good happens on this planet anymore..But let's worry about that later, you're injured. Your wounds should be bandaged first." She replied, noting his injuries.
The machine Nex had mentioned didn't sound good at all, it was the last thing her planet needed right now. Dear God, there's really no hope for this place.. |
Nex watched the prisoners walk along the road in the direction they were visiting, they nodded to her, grateful for the rescue, but it was evident they needed to get to the villagee as soon as possible. "My wounds will be fine, I have sustained much worse and they are not life threatening... " he said, reaching up to feel it with his hand, a deep gash on his shoulder, blood trickled freely from the slit in his flesh. He held back as much as hecould, but it was to little avail.
"Thinking more and more about it... This pirate activity has to have something to do with whatever structure they are building here. I think I'll stay around to help your planet... Even after I find my ship... At least until all of these space pirates are taken care of..." he said, his blade reaching into the machine and cutting a specific area, he took it with his own hand and pocketed it, "Without this the machine shouldn't work..." he commented, turning back toward her. |
