Kaz walked down the damp streets of the crowded town. Weaving in and out of the people he stepped into a small resturant.

Maxi was dancing on a small stage as she sung along to a karaoke machine.

Kaz watched her with interest as he made his way to a long bar and sat on the stool.

Maxi laughed and bowed as the few people that were there cheered for her.
She jumped off the stage and made her way to the bar as someone else took the stage.

"Mind if I buy you something to eat?" He asked with a smirk.

"For real?" She looked at him with curiosity.

"Why not?" He asked as he motioned to the man behind the bar and set a card down, "Order whatever you'd like."

"In that case, a banana split." She smiled.

Kaz laughed, "I take it you have a sweet tooth?"

"You could say that," Maxi chuckled as she leaned on the counter, "I love sweets."

"I'll have a coffee." He told the man, who nodded, then turned her "I'm Kaz."

"Maxi." She smiled, "Maxi Crossfeild."

"My, how formal." Kaz laughed as the man set their orders down

She laughed and took a bite of the ice cream, "Yum! So what brings you here?"

How was Kaz supposed to tell this young singer he was hiding from goblins? He smiled and took a sip of his coffee, "I just thought I'd check it out."

"Thats funny," Maxi said as she looked at him curiously, "Most people don't even notice this place."

As Kaz opened his mouth the man behind the counter yelped as a black goo like substance came out of the facet.
"Oh crap." Kaz hissed as he grabbed Maxi's hand and ran to the door.

"What the hell?" Maxi exclaimed as she looked from Kaz to the growing goo behind her. "What's going on?"

"There's no time to explain!" Kaz snapped as he pulled her into a dark ally. "Put this on."
He handed her a silver belt that had seven gems embeded into it.

"How's accessorizing going to help anything?" Maxi looked at him in confusion.

"Just do it!" He barked.

"Okay! Okay!" She said as she put it on.

When she did, the blob wrapped around her ankle as Kaz grabbed her wrist. There was a blinding light that flashed before them. The blob shrieked and shriveled into dust then the light surrounded it. When the light dimmed seven different lights swirled around Maxi before they shot in different directions.
"Oh hell." Kaz groaned as he ran his hand down his face.

Maxi yelped as the lights swirled around her. She looked around, "W-what's going on?"

Kaz sighed as Maxi looked around at the strange new land. This place seemed to be set in a midevil era. They stood in a large clearing where they could see an entire town with streets that seemed to weave in and out of each other like a maze.
