King woke up. It's happening. His muscles began to pulsate. His eyes were turning deep red, with a hint of golden. He ran down to the tree he had previously trained around. He put his arms around the tree and tried lifting it. He screamed as fury ran through his veins. The rushes are become less frequent but they became worse. I hope I get them under control before the jelly runs out. He ran into his room, shuffled through the duffel bag and grabbed a bag of green jelly. I have to save some of this maybe Nicolas will be able to make more if he gets a sample

Victoria blushed ans stopped what she was saying. Instead she asked what the room was. Nicolas wondered what she had been thinking. "Oh, this floor is mine." he answered simply. A warm wind blew in form the open glass door that lead to the balcony of this floor. It was nice, refreshing.

((Sorry for not coming back last night. A friend called and then I had to go to bed Xp))

Victoria's face regained its normal color, and her eyes widened a little at his reply. "It's a very nice floor. You have good taste.. And sorry for intruding, I kinda got lost again.." She allowed herself to smile, enjoying the warm breeze brought in by the door.

King walked to his room. He changed into slim black dress pants, a black undershirt and tennis shoes. He combed his hair, and brushed his teeth in the bathroom. He lay on his bed bored waiting for something to happen. Not enough action here. I wish I had more to do. Maybe When I see Nicolas I'll ask him if he can make more jelly and give me something to do.

Nicolas raised a hand. "No intrusion. In fact, I was surprised that you even found your way up here. Not a lot of people have done that without complaining about the trip." he said. "And thank you." Nicolas said again, thanking Victoria for the comment. And maybe he was also thanking her for coming up at all. Nicolas did not know himself. But he shrugged it off.

A moment of silence later, Nicolas could not hold back his curiosity any longer. "Victoria," he started. "How long have you been a vampire?" he asked.

Victoria grinned. "It didn't seem very long to me.. Of course I was kinda thinking the whole way up." She still hadn't reached a decision on that question she had been pondering, but now was no time to think about it more. "Your welcome." she added, as his thank you.

His question surprised her a bit, and she had to think about it. She was 18 when she became immortal... and she was, 94? "Around 76 years... I suppose that's not very long compared to most." Her curiosity had also got the best of her. "Do you know how long you've been immortal?"

Nicolas took what Victoria said in. Only seventy-six years of being a vampire. That seemed like so little to Nicolas right now. He had drifted into a daze when Victoria asked him how ling he had been immortal. It took Nicolas a moment to come back. "Oh, um..." Nicolas thought for a moment. "I've no idea how long I've been immortal, but it's been quite a long while. All I really know for sure is that I became immortal when I was nineteen and everything just when downhill from there...." his face grimed. It was wonderful at first, not aging. But then he had found that he could not leave the castle, and then his mother died. Nicolas went back into one of his darker dazes.

Victoria watched Nicholas's mood change after mentioning becoming immortal. Her life hadn't been very pleasant, but she couldn't imagine being stuck living in this cathedral all alone for so long.. She gently placed on a hand on one of his shoulders, hoping to comfort him. "I obviously haven't been alive as long as you have, and I have no clue as to how your life went downhill. However, I do know mine also went down hill." She gave him a grim smile. "I also know you have a place in this world, the cathedral, whether you like it or not. I... I'm still trying to find mine. Anyways, you have company now. So buck up." She playfully elbowed him in the side.

Victoria's touch brought Nicolas back form his daze. Her hand was cold, but it was comforting. Her words were kind and brought some life back to Nicolas' face. "Thanks Victoria." he said with a smile. For a moment, Nicolas thought about Victoria had said. She has no place in the world? Maybe... Nicolas thought. But he hesitated before asking. What if he made a mistake? What if something happened? What if...... C'mon Nicolas. Just once. he mentally slapped himself for the first time in years. He would invite her. If she wanted to stay, wonderful. If not, he would back off. "Victoria," he said, pausing. "If you wanted, you could stay here." he said, in a small voice. He would not say anything else until Victoria responded to this.

Victoria also smiled, glad to see the life back in his face. "You're welcome." She watched him for moment, it looked like he was thinking something over. She stiffened a bit when he asked her to stay. She could've sworn her heart fluttered in her chest, even though she knew it hadn't beaten in years. Stay? Victoria's face brightened quite a bit, and she found herself giving Nicholas a hug. "I'd love to stay. Thank you, Nicholas." Pulling back, she thought for a moment. "But, are you sure? I mean... how long do you think you'd want me here?"

Nicolas embraced the hug. And his face only got brighter when Victoria asked how long he would want her to stay. "You can stay as long as you like. And honestly, I'd want to stay stay forever..." he smiled warmly at Victoria. Even if Victoria was not romantically interested, just having someone to talk to would be nice. She was a nice woman, and to at least have her as a friend would be wonderful. And that she could stay forever only made it better.

A light blush rose to Victoria's cheeks. Stay? Forever? Nicholas seemed to be a very nice person, and she was rather fond of the cathedral and the others that she had met inside of it. With Handsome Stranger? She smiled, remembering her earlier thoughts, but quickly pushed them aside. Turning to Nicholas, her face brightened again. "Sounds wonderful.. And, again, thank you." Victoria leaned over, giving Nicholas a quick kiss on the cheek. Seems as though I might have just found my place.

Nicolas inhaled sharply, in a good way, when Victoria kissed him on the cheek. He blushed slightly, and turned to her. "Your welcome, and thank you." he said with a smile. He stood and stretched. He thought for a moment before he turned back to Victoria. "Are you fond of things that shine?" he asked, wondering if Victoria had already seen the eighth floor or not.

Victoria also stood, slightly confused by his question. Things that shine? she thought for a moment, before answering. "I suppose I am.." she answered slowly, wondering why he had asked such a question.

Nicolas smiled, "Then right this way," he said, genitally taking the confused Victoria's arm and leading her down to the eighth floor. There were a number of stair cases that lead to the eighth floor from here, and Nicolas searched out the nearest one.

It was a quick walk down to the eighth floor. Nicolas knew that Victoria could leave if she wanted, and this might be of some use to her.

Vincent woke rising his head. "Where's Nicolas...and Victoria...and the other Girl..." Vincent got up from his seat, shortly after he stumbled down to the Hallway. "..." He pressed his arms against the walls to keep standing. "H-hello...?"

Victoria returned his smile, still a bit confused as to where he was taking her. Once seeing what the eight floor was, she felt her breath hitch in her throat. A treasury? Indeed these things do sparkle... She looked around the room, admiring the gold and jewels. Turning back to Nicholas, she became curious again. "Why.. are you showing me this? Aren't you afraid someone would take it?"

Nicolas laughed. "I'm showing you because, from what I've learned in the past, women like things that sparkle." he said with a smile. At the next part of Victoria's question, he only laughed more. "I can't leave remember. Gold and jewels mean nothing to me anymore." he said simply.

Victoria smiled. "Yes, yes they do.." She let herself look at the room for a few seconds more. "Remember, I said I'd keep you company here. I won't be leaving unless you get sick of me, and then, of course, you wouldn't want me taking anything." Turning back to Nicholas, she smiled warmly.

"I don't think I'll get sick of you." Nicolas said with a smile. This was the first time, that he could remember, that someone had wanted to stay for forever. "And if you do want to leave, just to get a glance on how the world has changed, I wouldn't mind if you took something. I really have no use for it anymore." he reassured Victoria. "Speaking of, what does the world look like? Do they still have kings and queens?" Nicolas asked. King had made Nicolas think that many things were differant form what he last heard.

Kaya smiled at his comment. "I'm glad. And thank you for the offer.." She thought for a moment for the best way to explain the current state of the world. "Well, from what I know, a few smaller countries still have kings and queens. There are more types of governments now.. And all of the countries have taken a liking to shooting and bombing each other with machinery. King could probably explain that a lot better. A lot of things have changed since the age of kings and queens.. but I haven't been paying much attention." Speaking of King, I wonder where everyone is..

Nicolas nodded. Many things had changed. "Well, from you say, I think I might like it better in here." he chuckled. The world was much for violent than it had been. It seemed like alchemy had taken over, along with the machines. Nicolas had never really liked machines. "King would know more? He did seem like an army type of man. Care to help me find him?" Nicolas held out his arm in, probably old fashioned way now, for Victoria to take.

Victoria smiled. "Yes, I like it better in here as well." The world had gotten a bit too violent for her taste, and the countries that were waging war seemed to be endlessly fighting. A little surprised that Nicholas held out his arm, she remembered he had been here for a while, and she gently took his arm. "Sure. Do you know where he might be?"

"I've no idea where he might be. But We could start on the ground floor. He might have gotten up to eat something." Nicolas said, leading Victoria carefully to a staricase that lead directionally to the first level.

The walk was longer this time, given they were descending father than before. It was nice. Last time Nicolas had gotten visitors, they had all been male. That was interesting. Nicolas chuckled at the memory.

((Gotta go. I might be on tomorrow sometime))

Victoria nodded. "Okay." She thought about the soldier, King, for a moment. Last time she had seen him, the other girl had nearly attacked him in his sleep. Grimacing, she hoped that nothing too bad had happened since she had left. She turned to Nicholas, hearing him chuckle, and raised an eyebrow at him.
