"Of course, love. I'll be here to protect you." Daniel said, kissing her head as they walked. He was taken by surprise when Lisette kicked her father in the head. He turned back and watched the man on the floor, as they walked to his family.

They headed back to the house, all the family in their various cars. It looked like a parade as they pulled onto their street. The cars parked in and around the driveway, some having to park on the street.

Daniel took Lisette's hand and walked with her to the house. "I have something for you." he said. "But its going to have to wait until everyone is here and inside." he smiled, as they walked into the house, his parents following in behind them.

Lisette blinked a few times slightly confused. "Danny!" She said and hugged him from behind. One of the few times she said Danny.

She leaned up and whispered in his ear. "Daniel... Tell me what it is..." She acted like such a kid sometimes....

"What is it?" She questioned. "Tell me tell me tell me...." She begged and jumped on his back wrapping her legs around him. Laughing a bit she smiled and kissed his cheek. "Please." She pouted.

Daniel laughed, holding her legs as she rode on his back. "I told you that you had to wait until everyone was here." he said, releasing her onto the couch and then sitting next to her.

Eventually, everyone was in the house, family and friends. "Everyone!" Daniel said, standing up and trying to get everyone's attention. "I have something I need to do and would like everyone to be in the room when I do it." he said, pulling Lisette up to her feet as everyone filed into the room.

He looked around, making sure everyone was here, before he knelt down on one knee in front of Lisette. Daniel looked up at her, feeling slightly nervous of all the eyes. Wiping his hands on his pants, he took Lisette's left hand in his right. "Lisette. These past months, I have fallen in love with you." he began, slipping his free hand into his pocket. He pulled out the small velvet box and opened it, holding it up for Lisette to see the diamond ring inside. "Marry me?"

"Danny....." She put her hand to her mouth. "Oh my god.... Oh my god....." She started rambling off in French before nodding. Tears falling down her cheeks.

"Oui.." she smiled and pulled him to his feet to kiss him. "Jerkface." She whispered in his ear then and kissed his cheek. "You're making my make up smear." She smiled and kissed him again.

Izzy hooted and hollared. "ABOUT TIME DANNY!!!!" She laughed.

Lisette looked at Izzy then. "Shut up Izzy." She teased.

"I like her... She fights right into the family." Smiled the grandmother.

"You love this jerkface." Daniel said, kissing her back. He put the ring on her finger, then wrapped his arms around her. "Are you happy?"

He laughed at his grandmother and stared at his sister. "Thanks Izzy..." he said to her, then turning back to Lisette and squeezing her gently.

"Yea I know.. I love you anyway." She teased and nodded. "Yes.. I am happy." She grinned.

Izzy stuck her tongue out at her brother. "Bite me Danny!" She smirked.

Their grandmother just smiled. "You know you love me." She teased.

Lisette grinned and hugged him. "Thank you baby." She whispered in his ear. "I love you." Her eyes looked up and met his.

Daniel laughed at his grandmother and sister. "You two are some pair..." he said, holding Lisette close to his body, not wanting to let her go.

His mouth close to her ear, he whispered in return. "I love you too, baby."

He loosened his grip on her and smiled into her face, his blue eyes meeting her green. "Are you glad you met the family now?"

She nodded. "I'm very happy I've met the family." She smiled and kissed him gently.

Izzy came up. "So... When am I gonna be an aunt?" She smirked.

"Izzy... Shut up!" Lisette said and play hit her in the chest.

Izzy touched her chest. "Lizzie... I have been violated.." She smirked.

Lisette just rolled her eyes and put her head back on Daniel's chest under her hand. "We'll let you know Izzy." She grinned.

Daniel shook his head and rolled his eyes at his little sister. "Izzy...Can we get married first?" He held Lisette in his arms, close to his body. "Guess now I have to introduce you as my fiance..." he said, kissing her forehead. "Do you like the ring?" he asked, looking down into her face.

Lisette laughed at Izzy then before looking up at Daniel. "And yes... You do." She grinned. Leaning up she kissed his cheek. "I love it." She smiled. "Almost as much at you." She teased.

Izzy grinned. "No... I want to be an aunt damn it." She smirked and tapped her foot on the ground.

"Due time Izzy... All in time." Lisette grinned.

Daniel kissed Lisette's forehead. "I'm going to go mingle, darling. I'm sure that there will be questions." he said, squeezing her gently in his arms before letting her go. "I shall return to you, of course."

He smiled at her, then turned to walk towards his parents. "Surprise..." he said to them weakly. "I love her and don't want to lose her for anything." He smiled at them, hugging his mother and then father.

Lisette blushed and hugged herself then before Izzy came up. A beer bottle in her hand.

"WHAT'S UP CHICA?!" Izzy said slightly slurred.

"Izzy you're getting wasted... I don't want to be around you when you get drunk..."

"What... I'm not drunk... I'm just fine... I swear to drunk I'm not God." She laughed then.

Lisette rolled her eyes and moved as Izzy fell forward slightly.

"Lizzie that was... only... slightly rude..." Izzy stammered.

Lisette just rolled her eyes and walked over to a few people she knew and started talking to them.

Daniel pulled into the drive way. After being out most of the day, he was ready to just rest in his bed with a book and music. It had been a few weeks since he had asked Lisette to marry him, she had been making wedding plans excitedly. He was glad to make her happy and sometimes glad to get away from the energy she was putting off.

He stepped out of the car, keys in hand, and walked to the front door. Opening the door to the house, he walked in. "Honey! I'm home!"

Lisette kissed him once she came out of her room. "Honey... We have a slight problem." She bit her lip and looked at him.

Pulling his down the stairs to the basement and to the bathroom she pointed to the little stick that had two lines in the window. "I'm pregnant....." She sat on the side of the tub and waited for the best...or the worst.... Either way... She was prepared....

Daniel stared down at the stick, the lines showing brightly in the little window. He wasn't sure what to think at that moment. He slid down, sitting on the lid to the toilet. He looked down at his shoes, thinking for a moment.

His eyes moved to her feet, then slowly moved up to look into her face. Her face was a mix of nervousness and fear. "Are you sure?" he said. "Wait...Of course you're sure or you wouldn't have told me." The shock was starting to fade away from him.

He stood up and walked over to Lisette. Pulling her up off the side of the bathtub, he took her in to her arms. "This is amazing. I...I can't believe it." Daniel said, holding her tightly in his arms, he kissed her forehead.

"Danny...." She said his shortened name. "What is amazing?" She bit her lip and looked at him. Her nerves and fear turning into the face of "Who the hell are you and what have you done with my soon to be husband."

"Honey... Talk to me... Spill it... What is amazing...." She bit her lip again putting her hand on his cheek.

Daniel just wanted to hold her. "We are having a baby...." he said, absentmindedly. "That is what is amazing..."

"Have you told anyone else?"

Lisette shook her head. "No.. You're the first one home." She looked at him with a smile and kissed him. "I'm glad your excited... But that means we'll have to move the wedding up or back until after I have the baby.... I don't want the stress of wedding plans to disrupt anything.... I know what stress can do to a persons body.... I don't want that to hurt the baby."

Biting her lip she looked up at him and hugged him tightly and kissed him. "You are amazing love." She grinned.

Still holding Lisette, Daniel smiled down at her. "It doesn't matter to me whether we wait for the baby or if we do the wedding before the baby is born. I know that I will be with you forever." he said, holding her close to him, smelling her hair.

"What do you think Izzy will say?" he said with a laugh.

Lisette smiled up at him and kissed him. "You should know Izzy by now..." She smirked and started pretending to be Izzy. "Oh my god! You two are gonna make me an Aunt.. It's about time... I've only waited forever and a day with you two!" She laughed a bit and kissed him again. "But again it doesn't really matter to me... I just would like to get married before we have the baby but afterward is fine too." She shrugged then.

Daniel laughed at Lisette's imitation. "You are good at imitating my sister." he said, smiling at her. "If you want to be married before the baby, we will do that. Whatever you want. It doesn't have to be big, just family for all I care. As long as we are together."

She smiled at him and nodded then. "Sure. We can go to the courthouse then." Leaning up she kissed his cheek and went to leave the room. "Come on we need to get dinner started anyway." She turned back to look at him.

Daniel smiled and pulled her back into him. "Yes ma'am." he said, kissing her softly. He released her but held her hand, and walked out of the bathroom and up to the kitchen. "What's for dinner?"
