"Awesome..." Daniel said his voice emotionless, then he turned from the kitchen and walked out. He smiled to himself as he walked back into his room. Where should I take her? I don't even know what she likes... he thought. He sat back on his bed, not worrying about the book he had been attempting to read.

He turned his music up and thought about Lisette.

Izzy shrieked and hugged Lisette. "ALRIGHT!!! I'm AWESOME!!!!" She smiled and went up to her brother and hugged him. "You hurt her.. You die.." She narrowed her eyes at him.

Lisette hit herself with a notebook. "Je suis Stupide." She said to herself out loud. "Que vais-je l'usure?"

Izzy came back then and handed her friend something to drink and smiled. "So... Whatcha gonna wear?" she grinned.

"I don't know Izzy." Said the girl.

"Wear something hoeish..."

"IZZY!!! I'M NOT DRESSING LIKE A HOE!"

Daniel walked back to his bedroom door and shouted down in his soft but deep voice, "I request non-hoe please." He laughed gently and went back to his bed, thinking again. He wanted to get time to talk to her alone but with his sister around it might be difficult.

"Lisette. Could you come in here?" he yelled down to the kitchen.

Lisette got up and walked up to his room. A yelp was heard with Izzy slapping her on the read end.

"Go get him Tiger....MEOW!" Izzy laughed.

Lisette hit her in the head. "Ow..." She rubbed her backside and went to Daniel's room. "Yes?"

Izzy smiled. "I'm awesome."

Lisette stood at his door leaning against the frame. "Que?" She asked sweetly. Her cheeks turning red once again.

Daniel got up and pulled her into the room, shutting the door behind her and locking it so that Izzy couldn't burst in. "I wanted to talk to you without my sister butting in. Where do you want to go?" he asked her, sitting back onto his bed and looking at her.

She blushed. "Well....... A horror movie?" She leaned against his door. "Est-ce la bien?"

She realized she spoked French. "Sorry.. Habit... Is a horror movie ok?" She looked at her feet again blushing.

"Danny... Can I talk to you.... And you not think of me as a dork?"

"If you please stop calling me Danny. I actually don't like that nickname. Please call me Daniel." Daniel said to her, gesturing that she sit with him. "A horror movie sounds fine. Are you already plotting to get scared so you can cuddle on me?" his voice was smooth and deep.

She smiled and sat next to him. "No..." She shook her head. "I'm the type of girl that can watch a ton of horror movies and not get scared but scream to the top of my lungs when toast pops out of the toaster." She laughed a bit.

Shaking her head she looked at him. "Daniel.... I've actually had a crush on you since like...7th grade." She blushed. "I know I'm weird.

Izzy came up and was listening at the door. Bashing on the door she laughed evilly. "HEY STOP HAVING SEX IN THERE!"

Lisette jumped. "Oh god..." and fell backward on his bed. "IZZY GO AWAY!"

Daniel laughed quietly at Lisette and watched her fall back on his bed. He moved quickly, before she had the chance to get up, putting his hands on either side of her just above her shoulders. "So you have been crushing on me?" he said, staring into her green eyes. "Interesting..."

Lisette blushed a deep scarlet then again. "Oui... Pourquoi?" She shook her head. "Sorry......"

She bit her lip and met his blue eyes. 'Damnit!' She yelled in her head. 'Why does he have to be hot?'

Izzy tried to open the door. "Really nice bro... Open the damn door..."

Lisette rolled her eyes. "IZZY!!! Conversation is going on... It's not like we're having sex." She looked back up at Daniel.

Izzy laughed. "Why do you say that?"

"Cause you would probably hear me." Lisette laughed.

"Yea probably." Izzy laughed. "Then I'll go away." She left the door.

"Persistent isn't she?" Lisette still looked up at him.

Izzy's persistence ruined Daniel's plan of kissing Lisette. He removed himself from hovering over her and rose from the bed. Walking over to the door, he said nothing. He unlocked it and opened it up. "That she is." he said in the same emotionless tone he seemed to enjoy using, then walked back to the bed, sat down, and took up his book. "Friday..." he said, looking to her and then to his book.

Lisette bit her lip. "Friday..." She smiled. "Sounds good.. What time then?"

Izzy looked from one to the other and back again as if they were speaking a foreign language. "You two.... Holy HELL! I AM AWESOME!!!!" She danced around like an idiot and looked at her brother before she jumped in his lap and kissed his cheek.

Lisette rolled her eyes and popped one of the slightly cool pizza rolls in her mouth. She grinned and went over to the couch and sat doing homework with her notebook in hand writing down her English assignment... Well... Creative Writing assignment... Poetry was the unit they were on and she had just found a muse.

Without looking at her, Daniel said, "Seven." Then he turned to his sister and pushed her off him. "You are not awesome. I probably would have asked her anyway. Just to get her some peace and quiet away from you." he said with a quiet laugh. He found himself, finally, getting lost in his book and he soon forgot the girls were there.

Every now and then, he would look over the book and see Lisette writing something in her notebook while sitting on his bedroom love seat. He was curious to know what she was writing but didn't show it or ask.

Lisette bit her lip as she wrote. "Hmmmm." she said softly to herself and went back to writing furiously.

Izzy pouted. "What you don't love your lesbian sister?" She teased and shook her head. "She doesn't need peace and quiet away from me... She loves me too much... Don't you Lizzie?"

"No comment." She said as she looked up and then went back to writing.

Daniel looked at Izzy and smiled slyly. "I love her most when she isn't in my room bothering me." he said softly. "And I'm sure that Lisette loves me more," he said, looking at Lisette from over his book.

Lisette blushed a scarlet red putting her notebook in front of her face to hide it.

"ummmm..... Je ne réponds pas cela." She bit her lip looking at the poetry she had written. Her cheeks going a deeper red once she realized what she wrote.

Sighing she looked at Izzy. "Izzy..."

"Yes?"

"Go away." Lizette smirked.

Daniel watched Lisette turn red and looked at Izzy. "Yes, please leave." he said smoothly. In fact, he got up and ushered her out, closing and locking the door behind her.

He walked over to the love seat and sat next to Lisette. Daniel looked at her. Taking her chin in his hand, he turned her face to his. "I'll take that as a yes," he said in his soft, deep voice. He leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips, then looked down at her notebook. "So, what are you writing?"

Lisette blushed a deeper scarlet. 'DAMN HIM!' she yelled in her head and handed him her notebook.

"Creative Writing class." She smiled and looked up at him. Her cheek still hot. "We're doing poetry.... I kinda went off on a tangent... We have to fill up that book by the end of the year with nothing but poetry and then read our favorite ones to the class our final week... That acts as our final."

Sanctuary

I've swallowed all the
Spider-webs made of cotton clouds,
Blinded by echoing silence
With eyes wide open
I wasn't lost amongst the stars
Just trapped in the middle
Of the white-winged deceptions;
To high to see,
To low to not be ashamed.
Unbreakable glass is a sanctuary-
Shut down all senses, all memories
That I've locked inside myself.
If I burn, you'll burn too;
A waterfall of fire diffuses though the body
And raises me, on lava waves
Straight to the iced cosmos...
...Silver juices of the stars stifle into flames
And I'm falling back again.

Daniel read over the first poem and then started to turn the pages. "You are a pretty good writer," he said, smiling softly. He found the last page written and started to read that poem. As he read, he wondered if she was writing about him.

Lisette laughed. "I'm not that great.." She shook her head and shrugged. "Those are just a few of the ones I have... I have more on loose leaf that I haven't gotten in there yet."

Her cheeks still pink from the kiss he gave her earlier.

Biting her lip she kissed his cheek and looked at him. "But thank you for the compliment."

"I didn't say you were great," he started as he finished the poem. "I said you were pretty good." Daniel handed her her notebook back and walked over to his stereo to change the music. He put in The Offspring and went to his bed to read his book, his head moving softly to the music.

She rolled her eyes and headed out of his room to go back around Izzy.

Izzy looked at her. "Oh... over already??"

Lisette flipped her off. "Your brother can be slightly asinine."

Izzy laughed. "He has his moments.... Get passed the hardass badboy exterior and you'll see... He's not that bad... I've seen him with his exes... He's quite protective."

Lisette rolled her eyes as she got tackled to the ground. "RAPE!!!!!" She squealed. "IZZY GET OFF ME!!!"

Izzy kissed her friend on the cheek. "You love me."

"RAPE!!!!I CLAIM RAPE!!!!!" Lisette laughed.

"Now I see why your girlfriend thought you were cheating on her with Lisette." Daniel said from his bedroom door, he had followed Lisette to the door but no farther.

"Can I rape you?" Daniel said to Lisette with a smile and a wink.

Lisette blushed a deep scarlet as she looked up at him. "Thing is.... I'm straight... Everyone in school knows that."

Izzy laughed. "Besides... You're not my type Lizzie... Your bra ain't big enough."

"ISABELLA!!!!" Lisestte hit her in the head.

"OWIE!!!" Izzy rubbed her head.

Lisette looked up at Daniel then. "Ce n'est pas le viol si je veux." She winked.

Daniel looked at her, "That would have a deeper impact if I spoke French," he said nonchalantly.

He smiled at her again, his white teeth showing. "I'm going to have to let you prove your straightness to me one day."
