Koija didn't push to make Jovi allow him to dry him off, letting go of the towel when the pup had hold of it. He grabbed up a brush and brushed his long red hair out so he could let it dry without getting tangled.
He listened to his explanation of Jovi's past with a human master, and in all honesty, he didn't blame the pup for reacting badly to someone pulling his tail. He did raise a brow as Jovi spoke of a dog-type being his Master. "A dog-type? ...How long were you in his care?" He asked after a pause, moving to open the bathroom door, grabbing up the garbage can that held their destroyed clothes to carry them to the outside garbage, trusting that Jovi wouldn't run while all he had to wear was a towel.

Jovi dried himself off while he'd spoke and Koija brushed his hair. Jovi merely shook his hair out after drying it, explaining about why his hair was always a mess to begin with. Biting his lip he'd expected some sort of reaction to the fact he'd attacked a human, he'd do it again just as viciously if anyone even lightly tugged on his tail. It'd always been overly sensitive, perhaps a flaw in his breed of dog-type.
"Seven years.." Jovi admitted after a pause, chewing his lip as he waited silently. His brows furrowed when Koija left to take the garbage out. He'd promised to be good tonight.. He stayed where he was, but he wondered if Koija was foolish enough to think his nudity would stop him from running if he wasn't one to keep a promise.

It didn't take long for Koija to return, setting the can down again now that it was empty. "Seven years? That's quite a while.." He mused, looking faintly thoughtful for a moment before he waved gently for Jovi to come with him.
"Come on, I'll let you wear a shirt of mine tonight, we can wash your other clothes tomorrow." He doubted Jovi's clothes were actually very clean, he'd prefer that they were fresh when his pet wore them, so he hoped Jovi wouldn't fuss about wearing one of his Master's shirts just for a night. It should be plenty big enough.
He walked to lead him to the room they'd be sharing, frownign faintly as he realized he needed to cover up the broken window now, and he'd eventually have to replace it. He picked up the bat again and moved to put it back where it belonged, shifting through the long sleeved shirts he had in the closet so he could offer one to the pup for a sleep shirt.
Jovi's clothes were in a basket on the end of his bed, not washed only because of how late it had become. Amari had gone right to bed when she'd been dismissed.

Jovi followed along silently, not willing to supply any more information willingly. He didn't look at all regretful towards the broken window as he stood waiting for the other man to give him an overlarge shirt for his small frame. He took it anyhow and slipped it over his head. He walked towards the mattress on the floor that was to be his bed and mad a small face.
One thing he'd noticed the time he had been lying on it was that it was too soft and uncomfortable for that reason. Instead of saying anything Jovi merely gathered the sheets off the bed and in an empty corner made a nest similar to the one he'd had in the hut. He figured enough that they were heading to bed, and figured if the man wanted to sleep next to him he'd better make a bed on the floor. Lying down he'd found it just as comfortable as his normal bed, curling so his back pressed against the wall.

Koija watched Jovi strip the bed he'd given him on the floor and make a new one in the corner, and he had to admit he'd found it curious. He'd rather sleep on the floor than on a soft matress? What a strange boy indeed. He wasn't going to sleep down by the boy on the floor. He only required them to be in the same room, moving to pull on sleep pants before he went to pick up any glass that had fallen into the room when the window broke, tossing it outside to the ground. He'd clean up the yard in the morning when he had shoes on.
Finally, he grabbed up an extra sheet and took some tacks from a small bulletin board he had nearby on the wall, pinning the sheet up so the wind couldn't blow into the room as easily. He closed the drapes then and turned the light off so he could slide into his own bed with a slightly pained grunt. He was sore from chasing after Jovi and then the slightly awkward sex in the tub... He hadn't been so active in quite some time!
"...Good night, Jovi." He murmured gently before turning to rest on his side, back to the pup but he was listening. Until he'd fallen asleep, of course, his breathing shallowing out as his body relaxed.

Jovi noticed the curious look from Koija, he gave a small shrug from his position on the floor. After years of sleeping on the hard ground with nothing but sheets and blankets to cushion it, the soft mattress was as uncomfortable as the floor would be to someone used to the soft mattress. He supposed he could deign Koija a glimpse as to why he was on the floor rather than the mattress.. and did so. "It's too soft."
The pup listened to the man go through the rather abnormal routine of bed since the broken window added more chores - none of which Jovi volunteered to aid the man in. His eyes had closed but he wasn't asleep, couldn't sleep until Koija stopped moving around. Jovi had had a long day himself, two separate occasions of running for freedom and failing, coping with a new Master and sex to wear his body out more.
The pup fell asleep before his mind allowed him to consider anything violent towards the human in the bed while the man slept.

Koija would wake early in the morning when Amari crawled into bed with him, and he shifted for her, moving his arm to accept her smaller body against his side, turning his head to search for Jovi, wondering if he was still sleeping. The sun was just coming up, barely peaking through a small hole in the sheet covering his window, though the drapes helped keep even that out. The room was still very dark.
Giving Amari's forehead a kiss, he sighed out quietly. She was nude, as she always slept that way. Koija didn't mind, but he never requested such a thing from her.

Jovi was a light sleeper and the moment he heard movement around him his eyes darted open to stare about the unfamiliar room vaguely startled for a moment. He settled down for a moment his eyes narrowing slightly at the two in the bed before shifting slightly stretching sore muscles for a moment before ready to lie still again.

He could hear Jovi's body move in the nest of blankets he'd made himself, and he gave a relieved noise of sorts, determining it'd be alright to fall asleep for a while longer with Amari, tugging the blanket over her body as well.
He'd lay there for another hour and a half before sliding out of bed, leaving the girl there to rest while he retreated to the kitchen to begin cooking breakfast for the three of them. The smell of the simple breakfast of eggs, toast and bacon would quickly fill the large home.

Jovi woke again when Koija got up, he pushed himself tighter against the wall the shirt sliding up his thigh slightly in his efforts. Jovi stayed where he was attempting sleep again but the beginning of the scent of food bugged his nose enough for him to get up thankful that Koija's shirt covered to mid thigh. He looked towards Amari but walked out of the room making the bathroom his first trip.
He found his way downstairs though standing at the entrance of the kitchen, his stomach growling in hunger as the smell became stronger than it was upstairs. He watched Koija silently as he made breakfast.

"Go ahead and sit down. It'll be done soon." He stated, he'd heard the steps creak faintly under Jovi's feet when he'd come down to the kitchen. He glanced back briefly at the boy before paying attention to the food he was cooking up, walking away from it only long enough to get plates and set them out so he could put food on each one when it was done.
They were soon set on the table and he put out a pitcher of milk, one of orange juice and another of water so they could pick what they wanted to drink, placing empty glasses down for each of them now as well. He didn't bother to fetch Amari right away, sure that she would wander down soon, he'd heard someone moving around upstairs after seeing Jovi in the doorway.

Jovi stood there watching Koija a moment longer before stepping into the kitchen so sit down on a chair still facing Koija. He didn't move when Koija began to set the table or offer to help but merely continued to watch. Chewing his lip he looked at the table wondering what to do, he was never more social than he had to be unless he was upset - Koija already knew how much he could talk then.
"I don't understand..." Jovi said after some thought looking at the food Koija had made. "Wouldn't you just order .. Amari to cook breakfast or something?"

"We take turns." He replied, listening to the footsteps upstairs as Amari woke and moved about to get dressed so she could join them for breakfast. She quietly slipped into the kitchen and took her seat with a soft spoken "good morning, Master", and Koija returned the gesture.
The man sat down quietly now, rubbing his face briefly. He could have slept better, he was still exhausted. "Go ahead and eat." He said, moving to pour himself some water, and Amari took up the juice to pour herself a glass.

"..Oh.." was all Jovi said as he looked at the man once more a little more curious than cautious. He shifted some in his his chair grabbing for the juice when Amari was finished with it and pouring himself a glass. He began to eat much like the afternoon before still in the habit of eating everything he could get his hands on fast - the way it needed to be living on the street as a wanted dog-type.
He hardly thought there could be a reasonable human, so many treated were treated like garbage. He'd seen it so often it was hard to believe Koija would be any different but considered the fact that in certain areas he might be... more humane than others. He shifted in his seat again as he glanced at the two, master and pet or not.. they lead a cozy life.
"Why'd you.. buy me?"

He didn't even bother to mention how fast the pup was eating, he hoped though that he'd learn to slow down after some time of having food that wouldn't be taken away from him if he took his time. Koija rose a brow as he heard Jovi ask him about why he'd bout him, raising a brow at him curiously before he leaned back in his seat slowly.
"I'm going on a trip soon, and I can't take Amari with me. I wanted her to have company because it's a longer trip than usual. However... you don't seem to get along with her very well." The red head chuckled faintly, sighing out.

Jovi shifted in his seat at Koija's reason, the first thing that came to Jovi's mind was escape while Koija was away. He bit his lip though glancing at the other dog-type at the table, knowing he himself wouldn't be great company even towards a person who was just as against being a pet as he was. "Oh.." Was again the only thing he had to say as he looked down at the remnants of his breakfast.
He used his fingers to scoop up every last crumb, another habit of his when gaining food and knowing a small crumb still left a little more in stomach to last longer before next meal. He wasn't thinking that there would be food on hand when he got hungry next.

"But perhaps I should bring you along with me. You seem to cause me too much trouble to leave you alone." koija mused, and Amari looked up curiously. She'd been told no one else could go! Why did this mutt get to go? She knew that she had to watch the house... but she still didn't think it was fair.

"You're male. I'm going somewhere where they won't allow me to have a female pet along." He lied, but it was believable--or at least Amari seemed to believe it. He went on these trips every so often, leaving her behind. This was a longer trip than normal however, she didn't want to be alone so long.
"I don't care to risk returning and finding you've disappeared, either." He added slowly, moving to help Amari put the dishes in the sink when everyone was done.

Jovi looked at Koija strangely but he shrugged, he didn't know enough about the world outside of living on the street and surviving to know what was truth or not when it came to other places. Though he found it peculiar in the least. He shifted watching them clean up but making no move to help, refusing to do even that much. He had similar plans to escape while Koija was away.
"What if I don't want to go?" Jovi bit his tongue after the question left his mouth. As if he had a choice..

"I'll drag you along kicking and screaming if I have to, Jovi." He replied calmly, not making him clean up with them for the time being. He didn't feel like struggling with the boy's temper, things were calm enough for the moment.
"Come along, I want to sit in the living room for a while." He wasn't going to let Jovi out of his sight for a while now, he didn't trust that the pup would stay put. He walked toward the living room, waiting for Jovi to get up and join them, not leaving him alone.

Jovi's lip curled at the thought of having to follow Koija around the house like a dog hoping for a bone. He stood up though and followed Koija into the living room. There he stood awkwardly as he looked around the room once more, his blue-grey eyes barely hiding the fact he was a little curious even if he resented the fact he'd become the man's new pet.
"So, what.. I have to trail you everywhere now?" Jovi demanded after a moment of chewing his lip. The sensible part didn't blame the man.. but Jovi did want to be free, he couldn't run if he was stuck in the same room as the man the entire time.

"Yes. I don't trust that you'll behave if I leave you alone." He replied, letting Amari curl up in his lap with a book of her choice, but he watched Jovi. The room was lined with books on shelves, a few pictures of him and Amari around, but he didn't seem to have any other family. "Can you read, Jovi? You're welcome to read any of these books."

"I don't know how to read," Jovi responded after a moment. "I've been on the street since I was five.. M-He.. Didn't see reason for me to learn.. If he knew how."

"I suppose I could teach you then, if you'll learn." Koija offered. He'd taught Amari, and she usually read aloud to her master just to show off how much she'd learned over the years she'd been with him, having never been taught before he'd bought her from the market.
