History: This idea has a bit of history to it. When Elsa introduced me to Victoria, her violin, I was awestruck. I brought Lorelei, my bell lyre, the following day and Victoria and Lorelei got to have a little play date.

Fast forward to today, Elsa found out that Lorelei is male. Yeah. Anyway, yeah. I'll be posting Lorelei's character info in the next post.

Lorelei Character Info:

Appearance:
Lorelei has pale, porcelain-like skin and long straight silver hair that reaches to the ground... And then some. Her eyes are bright red and are bordered by long, curly, silver eyelashes. Her eyebrows are thin and silver. She has soft, pink lips. Her nails are painted silver, and are rather long and look slightly gaudy. She wears a plain white furisode with red nagajuban and a white hadajuban. The obi is red with the bow tied in the front. Her geta are plain, polished, unvarnished, light colored wood. The kimono has no right sleeve, and reveals a pitch-black, moderately muscular arm wrapped thoroughly with orange ribbon that only the black shoulders and hands are seen of it.

Personality:
Despite her appearance, Lorelei is actually male and speaks with a deep baritone. She gets annoyed whenever anyone refers to her with masculine terms. Despite being mentally female, though, she decidedly likes women, but tends to be rejected due to her feminine appearance. She sees Victoria as a younger sister and acts very motherly towards her.

Appearance:

Victoria has naturally tanned skin, and long brown hair which is usually tied in a bun. She has dark brown (almost black) eyes, and pale lips. Her build is somewhat skinny and she usually looks sickly because of the three major surgeries she underwent. She wears a light brown Victorian-style dress where the top is mainly a corset and the skirt is a bustle creating an s-shaped silhouette; the dress has italic f-shaped designs on her left and right going from below the bust to her thigh. She also has silver spectacles in which she uses to aid her vision (from nearsightedness). Her right arm is wrapped with white cloth in which she hides her bruises and scars from previous injuries.


Personality:

Victoria sees Lorelei as her older sister and feels overshadowed because of the fact that Victoria is always confined in her room after suffering a number of injuries and having a fragile appearance. Her voice is a high soprano tone. She feels bad that she depends on Lorelei too much and usually sings in melancholic tunes.

"Why don't you build me up... Buttercup, baby, just to let me down," sang Lorelei in her usual baritone. It was one of the pieces that she can actually sing since Alex never really took playing her seriously.

"Hey, Vic. Can I sing with you? Your owner taught Alex the Funeral March and now he won't stop playing it." She taps her arm, producing sweet, bell-like sound. "La. La. Lala. Dotiti lalalala."

"Your sound is too happy. It's supposed to sound low, and, uh... sad, Lor," said Vicky, "and Elsa would be criticizing your tempo... she's be like, '...which is supposed to be Largo... LARGO, not Vivace! Ugh!'

She laughed.

[[Owners = not around. Else, they wouldn't be talking. XD]]

"You have such a beautiful sound. I know. Mine sounds rather... Childish." Lor reached a blackened hand out to Vic, beckoning her to stand up. "Would you like to take a walk? Oh. And how is this? La. La. La. La. Do. Ti. Ti. Lala. Lala."

Lor's long flowing hair sweeped the ground as she walked and her feet made a wooden clanking sound as her geta tapped the ground.

"At least you got the tempo and notes right, sis. It's just that you're really built for happy melody whist I'm built for expression...."

She stood up, holding the hand reached out to her by her sister.

"My notes... can be happy or sad depending on how it is played; the same note of middle do can be a happy note when the composition is happy, or can be as melancholic when it is played in that manner... I'm jealous of you... you always play happy notes... I, on the other hand, mostly play sad, depressing ones... at least, that's what Elsa's been searching..."

She let out a huge sigh.

"I wish I could always be as happy as you are, dear sister...."

"Oh, and dear sister... please remind your owner Alex to never loosen your screws; you know as well as I do that Elsa has sensitive ears from exposing her ears from classical music and studying Musicology all by herself. And the last time he did that she got extremely ticked off and stormed off his room when he visited her..."

She sighed again, and let out a high-pitched yawn.

"This is why people want to play me... My voice is high-pitched, like a woman's..."

"Hahaha. I like being loud and obnoxious at times." Lorelei looked melancholy. "It's rather sad that I can only smile and laugh. Sometimes, I wish I were made a violin. At least then, I could play a full range of emotions. Sadness, anger, distress... I would not be an artist if I could only show happy emotions."

Lorelei looked around Alex's things for something to do and found Alex's old box of K'nex. "Hey. This set is older than me. I believe Alex got them when he was in third grate. He's quite innovative when using them, like when he spilled Elsa's beads, he made a device to sweep them up."

"Beads..." Victoria looked at the sky, "I used to remember her telling me that when she was bored she used to make bracelets and lanyards out of nylon and beads, and she'd give them to her friends."

She stared at Lorelei.

"Hahaha, you were being obnoxious? Elsa actually got pissed at Alex for 'damaging her ears' as well as for the other people around them. I don't always want to express myself... I want to be happy like you... always sounding so happy...."

"Man... I never figured out how this worked," Lorelei said, referring to the computer. She was trying to change the subject so as to not upset Victoria any further. "So. Wait. Where are Elsa and Alex? I remember being played, then you and Elsa came. Alex rarely stays in his room when talking to Elsa. Did you manage to hear anything?"

She looked at her sister, "I don't know, sis. I think they're downstairs taking a snack. I didn't hear anything. I barely hear anything when I'm in my house."

"Damn. So that means we're stuck here... I guess." Lorelei heard a door opening. They were leaving. "Hmm. So. We can't exactly go out like this... But we can't exactly leave our clothes lying around... Err... Maybe it's time for some mischief?"

"M-mischief!? What are you thinking about, sis?"

Victoria was shaking, she didn't want her owner to see her... not right now, at least.

"Sis, I'm scared! What are we gonna do now?"

"Well, let's see. Since they left, I'm thinking that they perhaps went to the university. Perhaps let us go there as well? But let's avoid them." Lorelei giggled at the though. It wasn't even dainty like you would expect from someone with her appearance. It was deep and manly.

"And I'm sure there are many beautiful girls in such a place. After all, we keep being taken there, do we not?"

"Are you sure, sis? Where will we go? They usually hang out in the park... We can't let them see us there. Where should we be? We can't enter the buildings, we don't have IDs... And girls!? You seriously have time to think about 'beautiful girls' in this situation, Lorelei!"

Victoria pouted at her sister.

"If you're only for the girls, then I'm not going with you. Hmph!"

"Alex... I don't understand..."

Elsa sighed and looked at the slightly grayish sky. It was about to rain, so she took out her umbrella for later use. She looked at her brother.

"I don't know why some songs that people don't usually listen to relaxes me... I don't understand... why requiems give me comfort and take away my depression...."
