“A Pirates life for me…”

Thunder sounded at the same time as the canons on a searing hot June night. London was burning and screaming in pure chaos as pirates ransacked the village. Captain Ace Matthews was back and in full force. They stole loads of gold, food, bullets, and even people and then set sail that stormy night. Unknown to them, among those they’d taken captive, they’d kidnapped the Governor’s daughter, Julia.

Places on the Ship

Upper Deck – Where most of the action takes place. It’s probably the best place on the ship to spend your free time due to fresh air and death threats from the captain if you don’t keep watch. The Captain’s quarters are situated above deck.

Next Deck Down – Includes the kitchen as well as short term food storage. On this level are also the canons for the ship, ten on either side with two spares stored farther below deck.

Second Deck Down – This is where the crew sleeps as well as where the captives are held. The crew and captives are on opposite ends of the ship and separated by a bit of space, just about enough so that the crew can sleep in peace.

Bottommost Deck The storage of the ship. Includes their gun powder, food, treasures, pretty much everything that they have, need or want on the ship.

Profiles

The Captain

Username: Korrection
Name: Ace (Alicia) Matthews
Age: 24
Gender: female, but no one knows, as in not a single soul but herself.
Appearance: She has short blond hair to her chin with a black skull bandana. She has hazel eyes. She has a white short sleeved shirt with a black leather vest and dark brown baggy pants that end at her thick black laced boots. She is 5’ 8”, muscular but lanky with bronzed skin. Also, she is mostly flat-chested which hides her identity as a female.
History: She was born on the pirate ship. Her father was the captain up until she was sixteen when he passed on. She took his identity as Captain Ace Matthews and the pirates set sail again with her as their captain.
Skills: Good swordsmanship, but better with a gun. She can fish as well as sew on a basic level.
Weapons: A medium length, double bladed sword, a pistol and a small dagger.
Personality: Confident, rash, short tempered, headstrong, wild with a small soft side.
Other: She has a pet crow that watches all of the crew and everyone. Her chambers are strictly off limits.

Crewmates

Quote:
Username: ~Prototipo-Annette~
Name: Levi Archer
Age: 15
Gender: hard to discern
Appearance: She has curly hair in a honey brown color that glints in the sunlight, though such nice hair and his baby face don’t exactly make him look like a good pirate. Its eyes are a pale shade of blue that almost appears silver and seem to stare with deep intensity at every little thing, absorbing knowledge carefully. A puny person, she still has some muscles about him and is working on becoming stronger, and hopefully grow taller than 5’ 4.5” as it dreams of reaching at least 6’ tall. As she hasn’t been on the ship long, his skin isn’t quite tanned just yet and is still subject to occasional sunburns of varying degrees. It wears a loose white shirt with long sleeves as well as brown, knee length britches with a pair of well worn and a bit too large boots.
History: Born the daughter of a fisherman, Levi was the sixth child, but that didn’t pose a problem. With five older brothers above him and one below, its father’s business thrived making living for the large family easy. It was aboard the ships that her father worked that he learned how to work the riggings and most things about sailing a small vessel, but not much on the dealings of a larger ship. When the family hit hard times, its father, no longer with a wife to hold him back, sold all but his fourth eldest son to various different places ranging from slavers to brothels. Levi herself was sold to a brothel, where he spent no more than two weeks in pure hell before being kidnapped by the pirates. Aboard the ship, it found itself put to use as not a bed warmer, but a fellow pirate as her skills as a shipmate were useful enough as not to be overlooked.
Skills: She learns pretty quickly, but that’s really about it unless you count past experience on his father’s sailing ship, working the riggings. Also, it is quite fast on her feet and therefore the perfect powder monkey to an extent.
Weapons: Nothing more than a basic saber and a dagger, set aside for emergency use only.
Personality: She is pretty shy and mild mannered, tending to keep to himself and talks only when spoken to, if then. From Levi’s time in the brothel, it adopted a rather meek disposition, meaning that any sort of a raised hand or voice directed towards her would result in either a flinch or complete cowering. On the other hand, Levi can be brave when need be and doesn’t stand to be hit by anyone, as he still has its pride.
Other: All pronouns referring to Levi in any of my posts will be underlined as not to cause confusion, as I jump around from using she, he and it.

Username: Le-Krynn ((He wanted to answer the questions himself... Instead of letting me type everything out. I hope you don't mind... I reminded him whenever he forgot something))

Name: You could call me Basil... Or whatever else you want to. Just know I won't listen.

Age: Oh, let's see... I'd say somewhere between 10 and 50... Let's go with 20, though. Just to be safe.

Gender: Do I look like a girl?

Appearance: I've got green eyes and dark blonde hair. I'm about 6 feet tall and I'm lean. All muscle. I can't afford to be fat, I'd lose my speed. Skin? Oh, yeah. Dark skin. Well, I guess "tan" is a better word. [kind of an awkward picture.]

History: Pirate already? I was practically born as a pirate. As far as I know, my parents are dead, I grew up learning to fight and to steal, and though the stealing got me into trouble, I certainly did have a knack for the fighting bit. I'd like to say I'm untouchable, but... It can be done. I joined Captain Matthews close to eight years ago. It's a nice place, so I haven't left... I suppose I've formed a touch of loyalty to the captain. I guess I just haven't found a reason to leave the ship yet. I get to go and do all the fighting I want, I guess that's all I really care about. ((His mother was raped and didn't treat him the best [apparently he looks like his father]. He hated his mother, so he left home when he was about nine or ten or something like that and ended up with the pirates.))

Weapons: I have a sword, a nicely hidden dagger, and a pistol for just in case.

Personality: I love to fight. Do you really need to know more? ..... Okay, okay. About me... about me..... My personality. I guess I'm not incredibly bright. I rely on my instincts and take what I want. When I want. Be it food or women, or something I thought would look nice on me. Oh, yeah. How I fight. That's nice, right? I like to move fast. Being fast can save your life, so I practiced. I like to put what I know for acrobatics and stuff in there, too... You know, the occasional flip to show off or something.... But, although I say that I take what I want, Krynnie is having me say that it's all just talk. I guess it is, but it certainly seems to scare people sometimes. Muns. Can't live with them, can't live without 'em. ((He really isn't that bad. he puts up a front of being a total bad guy who really doesn't care about anything, but... If he showed he cared about something, he thinks he'll lose it. He really does love to fight. And that business about taking what he wants. All talk. His big mouth certainly would get him in trouble....)) What can I say? I'm a rebel. -smirks- ((He can be pretty clever, though.)) Did I forget to mention how lucky I tend to be? And just between you and me... It's not all talk. ((Just most of it.)) Shut up.

Other: I don't think I've left anything out. But, if Julia's not already pregnant, she might be pretty quickly. ((Sigh. Basil's a perv.)) On a more serious note. My sword is my treasures. No, more than that. It's practically my life. If you do anything to it, you're as good as dead. And that's not just talk. ((He's got a special sort of hatred for rapists and women who are raped... I sure the bit about him hating the people who get raped is a way for him to express his hatred towards his mother... just... on broader terms....))

Username: Kidalanna
Name: Taletta Black
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance: Taletta has shiny black hair usually kept clasped behind her head, right behind her neck. A pair of light green eyes look out from under un-trimmed bangs. Originally a normal tone, her skin has slightly tanned. The girl's outfit consists of a beige blouse under a maroon vest with a folded over collar. Around her neck a beige cravat is neatly tied, and a light brown half-belt is clipped to the top of her black skirt that reaches to mid-thigh, stopping at a beige fur-trimmed hem. Her legs are covered with brown net tights, reaching down into her black high heels that adorn her feet. The shoes are not as feminine as some people's, but still serve to look slightly girly and be sturdy at the same time. Her weight is around one hundred forty-five pounds, while she reaches a height of around 5'7".
History: Taletta Black was born to a couple who ran a smithy and an inn/tavern. [those 2 terms mean loosely the same thing, a place where people can gain lodging, food, and drink, however for convenience, I'll refer to it as an inn] Being an only child, it soon became apparent that she would take over the inn for her parents. If a second child were to be born, they would go and find their own work. Although the girl was more fond of the idea of being a blacksmith like her father. Seeing as her mother needed help with the inn more than her father did with the forge, though, Taletta was assigned to either cooking food for guests or greeting them in the front. From this experience, she came to be quite talented with cooking. At the age of 10, a set of younger siblings came into her life. They were a set of twins, two boys named Abbot and Timothy. The 3 siblings grew close together, although the little boys did like to pester their older sister. It was decided the boys would help at the forge while Taletta remained at the inn. Although slightly jealous of the two, the girl remained a caring older sister. At the age of 12, without asking her first, Taletta's parents married her off to one of her father's apprentices, who was an able blacksmith; the two were a loving couple. She remained to stay at the inn with her parents, to move in with her husband when she was older, around the age of 17. When she was 15, and her two brothers 5, Timothy fell ill with the Black Death. Although her parents tried to send her away before the medics noticed, the Black Death was noticed. The family was pulled into quarantine, the inn closed down. It was known that once someone in your family got Black Death, it was assumed that the rest of the family had it too, and thus their social lives were ruined. Knowing she was healthy, and not wanting to go through a trashed life, Taletta ran for it. A pirate ship had been docked, and she boarded it with a suitcase full of things and a disguise as a boy. Once they got out to sea, though, and her position was set in stone, she revealed herself to be a girl. The reason she was allowed to stay on board was mainly that she was a good cook and a decent surgeon.
Skills: In her time at the inn, Taletta acquired decent stitching skills, exquisite cooking abilities, how to make beds, and other such knowledge needed in an inn. Originally starting out with basic medical knowledge, with a few other things thrown in here and there, from experience the girl has gained a decent set of skills for being the ship's surgeon. From watching her father, Taletta has a basic knowledge of metal working, but nothing fancy, at all. After being on board the ship three years, the girl is pretty good with a rapier and musket; she can reload in about ten seconds.
Weapons: On her, Taletta caries a rapier, and keeps a musket with a bayonet in her trunk, in case she ever needs it.
Personality: Although in times of need, the girl can pull out a serious side, within, Taletta is a tad childish. If she can ever come up with some sort of awesome prank, she'll do it, not often thinking about consequences. She likes to be in high spirits, and likes everyone else to be as well. Learning that there was a lot of discrimination towards women, Taletta became somewhat of a feminist and will stick up for fellow girls more often than she will for boys. This girl likes to be loud and gets in others' business, at times considered somewhat of a sort of nuisance. If angered, her temper can be somewhat scary, though.
Other: Taletta is the cook and doubles as the surgeon on board the ship, and likes her position very much.

Name: Cameron Duncan
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Appearance: Cameron has harsh, dark brown eyes and brown hair that's cut short. He is fairly tanned from being in the sun often. Cameron is about 6'2'' and has a muscular build. He wears a tan long sleeve shirt with a green, blue and red plaid vest with golden buttons. He wears a set of dark blue pants that come in and stop at his knees with white hose and flashes and a pair of oxford shoes on his feet. Around his waist sits a black belt with a silver buckle.
XxXxXxX
History: Cameron has been a pirate with Ace Matthews for many years and still sails with Ace's son to this day. Cameron was always one for Scottish pride, but decided to set sail for bigger and better things. Women have always flocked to him, and he would use this to his advantage. Anything sexual he would avoid, since he did feel that causing harm, especially emotionally is wrong, but he would flaunt what he knew he had in order to get certain things like money, shelter, food or clothes.
Skills: Besides being able to attract women like no other, Cameron is especially skilled with a sword. Upset him and close to close and you're in for no fight. It'll be two hits - him slicing you, and you hitting the ground.
Weapon: A sword on his right hip and a sgian dubh in the outside of his right hose.
Personality: Cameron is very self-confident, however he will only show it when he needs to. Any other time he'll keep off to himself and mind his own business. When bothered, or if he overhears something interesting, he will personally make it his business and strut his stuff. He is very sarcastic and loves to see others flustered when they can't figure out how to respond to his comments. Cameron can also be a loving person - he does use his talents with women for his advantage, but deep down he really wants to have real love for a woman, for he can be caring and compassionate.
Other: Cameron loves a good cup of ale, and a plate of haggis.
Quote:
Name: Acel le Rouge
Age: 27
Gender: Male
Appearance: He has long, wavy red hair that he keeps tied down its length into a long tail. His eyes are a hawkish pale brown, and he often wears a classic eyepatch for the practical reason of having one eye adjusted to darkness. His skin is tough as a result of many years at sea, but with the healthy complexion of a successful seaman. He is of medium build and roughly 5'10" tall, and he wears rugged dark leathers over old and worn, but once expensive silks. Also has a large tattoo of a crow on his back.
History: Pirate already, having run away from a wealthy home at the age of 13 to barter passage on a pirate ship. Though without a ship and crew of his own, he has sailed under many captains and has worked as a hired blade for merchants and certain shadier shipmasters.
Skills: Standard seaman fair (swimming, climbing, navigation, etc), fencing, fighting dirty, explosives. Terrible marksman.
Weapons: A sturdy old cutlass, a fine spanish rapier, and a well maintained pistol.
Personality: Sets himself apart from the usual mercenary type by being intelligent and generally level-headed. However, when not on a job, his jovial and flamboyant manner make him difficult to take seriously. Not entirely ruthless, he won't hesitate to cut down anything in his path, but he won't commit unnecessary violence. His true loves are treasure and grand explosions.
Other: He keeps a pistol for an edge in close quarters, but he is truly a terrible shot when his target is at any distance. A rifle in his hands is better used as a club.

Julia

Quote:
Username: kidalana
Name: Lady Juliaetta "Julia" Salisbury, Maiden of Polscoath
Age: 16
Gender: lady
Appearance: At an even five foot, Julia is a blue eyed girl with naturally curly honey blonde/auburn hair and fair skin. She likes to dress up and wear jewelry as well. Her weight is just right, not too heavy, not too light and she hold her small self tall and with pride. Because she was planning on going riding before she was captured her only pair of shoes are a pair of brown riding boots that barely can be spotted from under the dress. [Juliaetta]
History: Juliaetta as born into the upper class and easily reaped the benefits of such a life and easily grew use to it. Through out her childhood she's been treated incredibly well because of her status as heiress apparent, therefore only child. Her mother died in childbirth and her father only remarried when she had turned ten, just in time for him to become govenor. Julia and her step mother didn't get along, the first confrontation being when the older woman tried to poison her. Because of the poison she took sick and had to wait a month to recover, when the culprit was discovered Julia's father had her step mother put to death. By the time she turned twelve her father was already looking for possible suitors and by thirteen he'd decided on who she could choose from. At fourteen Julia was married to a Paul Salisbury, who she was quite satisfied with. The two decided to wait on obtaining their own house, choosing to inherit her fathers' since she is of better political standing, and she never left the governor's home. She also decided, in agreement with her husband, to wait a couple years to have children. When Julia turned sixteen her father expressed interest in naming her husband governor and passing the household on early. There was no complaints from her and her and her husband decided to attempt conceiving a child. Soon her father and husband left the house in her care as they went to deal with official business. The day before her father and husband returned home she was kidnapped by pirates and her powers of observation only allowed her to smuggle a dagger with her before being forced to leave her house.
Skills: Being a married woman Julia is fully capable of running a house, but being a rich married woman dictates that she's much better at bossing people around then cooking. Julia's social skills are amazing, she has perfect manner and she never struggles with conveying what she wants to say. She's decent at embroidery but better with her handwriting. Probably the most unique skills Juliaetta has are the ability to read and write the English language. In short, she's the perfect little bred-for-marriage heiress of a rich family and her skills all stem from that, yeah she can ride a horse. Something falling out of this skill set is her insane attention to detail, if something's the slightest bit off, she'll notice.
Weapons: An ornate dagger concealed in the folds of her skirt or wherever she sees fit that she grabbed before she left.
Personality: To say that Juliaetta is a nice girl is an okay response, she puts herself and her family before anyone else though. In addition to that she wants things done her way and expects to get what she wants when she wants. In order to get what she wants she can be quite crafty and clever, she will not hesitate to use what she knows against someone.
Other: Julia may or may not be pregnant at this time.

Ace looked over the wreck of London and grinned. It'd been a successful attack and it was time to set sail and enjoy their loot. Her father would be proud of his crew for such a good job. As she climbed down from the crow's nest (ironic because of her pet) she found herself excited and ready to go. Her crew came aboard, and along with them came captives. They were hurrying, trying to sail off quick before the soldiers regrouped and took over the ship. Canons still sung through the air to keep people at bay as they readied the sails, preparing to escape further conflict.

From the deck was where Levi watched the carnage of the once regal city, watching from the sidelines as the rest of the crew pillaged and massacred. It was far from in her nature to dwell in such pastimes, not to mention his more or less lack of any type of useful fighting skills. Yes, it could use a sword on a basic level and yes, she got the basic principal of kill, kidnapping and looting but he was pretty sure that it didn't quite have the guts to put up with such a sport.

At the call to ready the sails, Levi broke from her trance and raced towards the netting to the crow's nest, slipping past the captain in order to clamber up. Not a single word left his mouth as he carried out his orders- prepping the large sails for escape- not even a simple "yes captain" or an "excuse me". Silently, Levi quickly took care of the riggings from his place at least forty feet off the deck, making sure to have at least one hand with a strong hold at all times so that the shaking caused by the canons of both their ship and those of their enemy(s) wouldn't dislodge it and drop her to an invariable death.

To be honest, this was not how Julia planned on first hitting the seas. In all her plans for riding on a boat, she'd always seen lots more luggage brought on board (for her) and better dressed people. Not to forget the fact that she'd always planned to be walking on a boat of her own steam rather than being pushed and rushed on board. Julia also hadn't ever wanted to set foot on a pirate ship, it was an experience that she'd readied herself to never experience. And here she was being kidnapped, by pirates and brought aboard their ship. Before being brought bellow deck, to where they no doubt housed their filthy crew and those they captured she took one last look at the scenery. It was sad to see London in such a sorry state but she knew that it would recover easily.

Ace watched as the flames engulfed the city, and then called out to her crew, "Hurry your grubby asses up before we leave ye behind!" They couldn't afford to take any longer, they had to get out of there and soon. She climbed up to the wheel, and waited for the others to board the ship. Ropes flew through the air and wrapped around the sides of the ship. The troops had caught up and were trying to overtake the ship. “Cut us loose! Levi set the sails for westward! Everybody we must hurry!” She yelled. The ship rocked around as the storm got worse and more people ran on it. Lightning crashed down just barely missing the sails and the loud ring of a canon sounded as she jumped down and helped cut the ropes off the vessel.

You knew a ship could use extra hands when the captain had to do everything himself. At least, that was how Levi's opinion stood on the matter as she watch the captain running around and shouting orders, following most of them on his own. Returning to paying attention to the task at hand, Levi proceeded to continue with what he'd been doing, except this time it was much faster about it and had taken the captain's orders into consideration. As long as it took her far away from danger and far away from the shores where she'd been raised by its father, everything would be good.

Basil, for once, was not the last person to jump on the ship before it left its recently pillaged town. Today was London, and boy oh boy, did he find something nice: a girl with beautiful blue eyes and adorably curly hair. He pushed her aboard the ship and managed to get her to the second deck down without too much yelling and fighting being done.
Up above, he could hear the captain yelling out orders, but the captain had that little Levi thing to help out. Was he really needed? The rest of the crew would get to the ship if they were smart and then the captain would have his help. So what if he wanted it now? Basil had this pretty little girl in front of him. He pushed her into the room he shared with one of the others. The only one who got something better than a bunk was the captain... And that obviously wasn't him.
Once in the room with the girl shoved into a chair, he closed the door and smirked, saying "Welcome aboard, miss, it's a pleasure to meet you."
To annoy the obviously wealthy girl a bit more, he bowed, saying,
"I'm Basil," before leaning casually against the door with his arms loosely crossed in front of him.

Having been aboard the ship around three years, Taletta could tell the captain wanted to get out of there soon. Glancing over the side of the ship, she saw London burning brightly, the blaze jumping from building to building. Such a big flame it was. The girl briefly wondered if it would make a mark in history, more important than any mark it could make on the city. Briefly worried about the people who may be injured in their raid, Taletta brushed aside all her foolish worries and set about following the captain's orders. Although she did regret the people she may injure in doing what she did, the girl didn't much care any more. Her musket over her shoulder and her rapier in her hand, the girl quickly sheathed the sword, not wanting to use it for such a simple task. Instead, Taletta took an ordinary knife to the ropes that were clinging to the ship. Perhaps someone was trying to climb up that rope?
Looking down over the edge, the girl glimpsed that soldiers had started climbing up some ropes, a rather crude way to get on the ship, but it would have worked, if not for the pirates cutting those ropes. So, without remorse, the girl grinned and sliced clean through a rope, ignoring the thud as the man on it hit the dock below. Although, as she ran about, following orders, another thought occurred to her. What if they were simply trying to hold the boat in the harbor? That could be a possibility, but a highly unlikely one. Her green eyes briefly saw a fellow pirate, Basil, pushing some high class looking girl below deck. She was about to yell at him, but stopped herself. The ship was too busy to be meddling in his... strange affairs. If the captain wanted to deal with him, he could, but Taletta didn't want anything to do with it.

"Aghh! Levi! You about done up there?! If you don't get to it, I'm going to shoot you in your fragile ass! Everyone on board get out here and help unless ye wish for them to hang us!" Ace was so pissed, the loot today was worth it but if anymore time was spent in the harbor it wouldn't be. She finished chopping some of the fresher ropes and helped get everyone boarded. She wanted them to hurry their sorry asses up.

Another thing not on Julia's list of planned accomplishments was getting killed by cannon fire or mauled in a fight. The blonde did not like how this guy was acting though and resisted the urge to closely examine the room he brought her into, it was obviously some sort of crude bedroom and that was all the understanding she needed to give it for now. If these were the quarters given to the crew she didn't want to see where these pirates kept their captives. The blonde folded her hands in her lap and looked up to make eye contact with the pirate guy, Basil wasn't a very pirate-sounding name and she was only a little curious to his background. It dawned on her that she shouldn't throw her status as governor's daughter out into the field so easily, "I'm Juliaetta," and that was all she said.

((A certain key that's also the first letter in my character's name has fallen off, pardon the lack of its presence. Thank copy/paste for its further presence after the first one.))

All the girl said was her name.
This was a lot more boring than Basil had expected.... And it showed on his face in a frown. A very unentertained and bored looking frown.
It was a pretty name. Really, it suited her. Just... Basil had expected her to at least act kinda angry or show some discomfort about being kidnapped and pulled onto a pirate ship. At least a little bit...
Basil had been thinking about offering this girl protection... She would probably need it, too. But, if she was going to be this dull, then... He wasn't entirely sure about it.
His frown grew as he thought about it a bit more.

Finally, he slid down to sit comfortably in a very informal indian style position.
He smiled in a way that only people of his nature can: That mischeivious smile that really looks more like a smirk than anything else. He tilted his head slightly to one side before asking her a very simple question... Only phrased a bit weirdly.
"So, Juli. With your looks, I'm sure you'll have trouble on this ship. We picked you up from that mansion and you look pretty rich. My guess is that you've never done a days work in your life. You're going to need some help." The smile grew a bit, "That's where I come in. I'm the only one on this ship that can fight worth anything. If you like, I'll look after you. But, you'll have to do something for me."

His expression said that he wanted her to ask what it was, but really, he just hadn't thought about it at all. He was just going on with whatever he thought up. What could he have her do for him...? There was the obvious pleasure he could recieve, but he figured that she wouldn't really want that. He wasn't about to turn into the type of monster he had always hated. Maybe.... She could cook for him? That would be good, but the ship already had a cook... And a good one at that.

He pondered this for a little bit before asking (interupting her if she had began to speak or simply ignoring whatever question she asked), "First, I want to hear about you. We took you from a manor... and you don't look particularly happy...." He trailed off for a moment, thinking that he couldn't imagine a person like her ever really being happy. Not happy like he was. He absolutely loved his life.... Maybe he could show her about the joy that is living? "Why don't you look capable of smiling?" he mumbled before catching himself. He looked her right in the eye, that weird smirk back on his face, "I'd like to hear about where you came from."

"Sir, yes, sir!" Taletta shouted back to the captain, carelessly chopping through a rope to her right. Although the threat of shooting someone in the butt was not too unusual on a ship like this, the girl still thought it a tad of a careless threat. One, it most likely wouldn't be carried out, and two, Levi was already following the previous order 'it' received.
Swinging the pre-loaded musket off her shoulder, the black haired girl pointed it and shot a man who was clambering over the rail, trying to board the ship. His body would most likely smash into someone coming up the ropes, but why would a pirate care? Not bothering to load it again, the girl slung the weapon back on her shoulder, continuing to cut ropes with the knives.
The blade slicing through a rope was a very satisfying feeling. Each separate strand being cut could be felt through the resistance presented to the knife. So, on the opposite side of ship as the captain, Taletta sliced ropes off, and sometimes, if she felt bored, just grabbed a rope and swung it. Anyone on the end of the rope went slamming into the people on the ropes next to them. There hadn't been much entertaining stuff in the past week, so the girl tried to find as much enjoyment out of the current situation as possible.

Cameron was on the run.

"Cameron, jist look at th' mess yoo've got yerself in."

He darted between the screaming people in the streets and headed towards the boat. He was being chased by three very upset stall owners. While heading back to the ship, Cameron decided to sneak by and steal the coin bags that the owners kept behind the stalls. When the owners realized what had happened, Cameron was already long gone.

"If
ye wooldnae hae stopped tae gab tae 'at bonnie lass, those men wooldnae hae seen ye."

The men were mad, but Cameron was fast. He dashed across the harbour docks and lept onto one of the remaining ropes in order to quickly pull himself up.

"
Dornt cut thes rope! It's me, Cameron!" he yelled up to the ship.

The men down below began to cuss as Cameron grinned and climbed aboard.

Ace paused from cutting the rope just in time to not send Cameron plummeting to the dock. She was so frustrated that everyone was taking their sweet ass time, and she was the only one who seemed to care about saving their necks. Basil, the sly bastard, had took off to his quarters with some wench, Levi was as slow as ever in setting the sails, and Taletta was having fun, as she swung soldiers off the ropes they attempted to board the ship with.

She offered Cameron her hand, "Here, get your ass on deck and help us get the ship out of the harbor."

"Thanks, but if me arse was literally oan deck, 'en eh'd be sittin'."

Cameron pulled himself up and ran towards the wheel.

"
Whit ur we waitin' fur?"

Cameron looked up to see Levi still fumbling with the sails.

"
Hurry yer arse up ur aam comin' up thaur myself! Aam turnin' th' wheel, sae ye better watch!" he yelled.

Cameron grabbed a firm hold on the wheel and cranked it hard to the left. They needed to get out of that harbour now and hit the waters again. Time was wasting, so every little thing he could do would help.

"Hey Capt,
Whaur ur we headed?" he shouted over.

((Way to wait for us, guys! 0.o But "the Levi thing" isn't really doing much any way... Is Cameron supposed to sound Irish?))

Levi was busy doing what she'd been told when the Captain called out to him with a message along the lines of "hurry your ass up". With a sigh, it turned right back to what she'd been doing without a single reply; Levi didn't exactly like to talk, and the Captain now seemed quite concerned with dragging Cameron back on deck and getting a move on. Yes, getting a move on would have been quite nice... What wasn't so nice, though, was the way the Captain had chosen to threaten him. It got the distinct feeling it was some sort of a tongue and cheek and didn't like it one bit. Though she wasn't just about to voice her complaints to anyone, he also wasn't just about to put up with those sort of comments a second time. The Captain's favorite word might have been ass- as it did seem he used it quite frequently- but that didn't excuse cruel jokes. Besides, would shooting someone in the leg or the head be a lot more efficient? Sighing, Levi quickly finished up with his duty in the rigging just as Cameron was shouting up at it to hurry, resulting in the curly topped girl flinching and practically dropping what she'd been holding. In his fumble to grab the rope, however, Levi wasn't able to grab a hold of much else before Cameron made a rough turn of the wheel. Thankfully, there were already systems of netting in place for such instances, one of which it landed safely in. Deciding not to make any further risk since her job so high off the deck was complete, he began to crawl quickly back towards the crow's nest; hopefully, there would be further assignments back on deck. The wonder that was Levi not being afraid of heights was just about to be discontinued if it had too many more instances of almost falling to her death.

And instead of looking up at him she was now looking down towards where he sat on the floor. Honestly, this guy was really casual about all this. It was almost like he didn't see her as much of a threat, if any at all. It dawned on Juliaetta that she should probably be at least a little bit miffed, but it made her current stay a lot more comforatable, and if he tried anything... Though really she couldn't imagine what he'd try, that smile put her on edge regardless. Basil hadn't drawn any weapons so Juliaetta didn't feel that her life was in too much danger at the moment, this man would probably prove to be a valuable ally. Though what exactally was he looking for in return? "If you haven't realized, I didn't have much of an opportunity to bring any items of wealth on board with me." Yet, he didn't say anything in reply and moved on, asking about her. Honestly, how could he tell if she was happy or not? Who was he to judge?

A small frown was on her face, "Why would I smile now?" she asked, too focused on that strange statement to answer the others. As a second thought she added; "I've lived in that manor with my father for my whole life."

Sighing loudly, the girl briefly saw Cameron board the ship, and wondered why he felt the need to delay till last minute to board. Although it didn't make much sense, Taletta figured each person had their own unique way of doing things, and went on cutting ropes. The sudden turn of the ship caught her by surprise, though, and no doubt caused surprise to many others as well. Glancing upward, she saw that although Levi had been 'misplaced', as some would say, by the move of the ship, it was okay. "Be careful up there Levi, and you too, Cameron, unless you want to get the poor child killed!" Taletta yelled at the two, but figured they both already knew what she had said.
Turning back around, she realized someone had managed to grab hold of the rail while she wasn't looking. How they stayed on was a miracle, but she saw as they tried to climb aboard that it was just another lousy person trying to chase them down, a government person, no doubt. Possibly the police? Smirking, the girl lifted her foot and landed a strong kick in the middle of the man's chest. Quickly, while he was still in the process of falling, she went back to cutting away the dangling ropes, which would no doubt be useless to their pursuers once the ship cleared the harbor.

Basil watched Juliaetta while she spoke (the scond time) and frowned along with her. He was about to answer her when the ship lurched to one side.
"DAMMIT CAMERON!" A lovely outburst. "It's almost as if he's trying to throw himself to the sharks...." another one of those smiles and Basil mumbled, "though that wouldn't be too bad."
The pirate then turned his attention back to Juliaetta saying, "Sorry, we've got someone with the intelligence of a slug trying to steer the ship."

Basil tried to return to the topic, mumbling the questions back to himself, "Why... would you smile now...?" He thought about it. "You've lived there for your whole life...?" He didn't really like the thought of someone staying in the same place for that long... and it showed on his face.
"Well, you could smile because you're not there anymore. No more dear old dad telling you what to do or who to talk to or any of that shit....." He trailed off, looked back up at her, then added, "or at least, thats what I've heard rich people do."

Then, Basil stood back up and looked down at her, "C'mon, Jules..." He walked over to her and kneeled down in front of her. He took up one of her hands and clasped it in front of the both of them, "You're free now. Doesn't that deserve at least a bit of smile?" Basils smile now seemed to have forgotten about all the mischief he was capable of as he watched her face now. He then got back up, pulling her up with him and added, "that is, you'll be free as a bird if you stick with me," and the mischief was back. Basil turned his face back to her, the smile not dissipating in the least and his hand, now gently, held hers.

Cameron received no response.

"Okaaaaaay 'en. Whatevar."

Cameron tapped his fingers against the wooden wheel and smiled to himself before clinging to it for balance. The sudden movement of the ship finally caught up to him.

"
Weel, mebbe 'at wisnae sic' a guid idea. I bet it pissed aff Basil though."

Cameron began to whistle a merry old tune, and the smile returned to the corner of his mouth. That's when it dawned on him that someone else had yelled.

"Tal!
I know! Dae ye tak' me fur a fool?"

"Idiots," he thought to himself, "
Ah main due stupid things, but it's fur a purpose. They'll see."
