Rachel sighed, and decided that sitting on her knees was the best. She pulled her seat belt looser, and shifted.
'Stupid taxis..' She thought.
"Well that's odd." She added, and then just, pondered about it a minute or two. "really odd."

Rachel was on the other side of the car, still leaning out the window. She smiled at the fact that they were there, but didn't want to go back IN the car just to open the door.
So, she simply climbed out the window as if it were the most natural thing to do, waved at the driver, and jogged over to where Lila was, noticing that her clothes, too, smelled like smoke.

Rachel watched as Lila pressed the up button, and listened to the little DING. She looked around, and noticed it was a nice looking hotel.
"How'd you get a nice place like this?" She said in awe, looking around. Rachel was almost never in a hotel, and the only ones she was in was a run-down Motel in Nebraska, and an old hotel in Washington. That was it.

Rachel stepped in, and had just realized that she wasn't wearing shoes, because the floor was wet, and she sort of slid into the elevator when the doors closed.
She held onto the railing tightly because she'd fallen and hurt herself badly thanks to bare feet, tiles, and wet floor.

Then she got a curious look on her face. "Where DID you used to work? That's like.. really cool."

[[Edit: you know i know a kid *cough- my old crush -cough* who smacked his head on tile floor right in front of the whole science class.. and he knocked himself unconscious.. man i felt so crappy for the rest of the day..]]

Rachel was fine afterwords, but a little shocked.
"um- yeah, i'm fine." She managed. Then the elevator stopped, and made that same little Ding. Rachel walked past some people who didn't even slide on that wet spot. They just looked a little surprised as to why Rachel was STILL in her Pajamas.

"Later?" She asked, and got a puzzled look across her face. She caught up to Lila and just looked for an answer. "How come later and not now?" She asked.

Rachel followed patiently inside, and looked up at the blue envelope, and then laughed at the ladder.

"tss- you brought me down here for nothing-" She started to say when Lila like went on complete shut down mode, making sure the whole room was secure.
She leaned back a tiny bit when the gun was flashed, but eased it off, trusting Lila. She glanced at the card curiously, and compared it to the ones she saw the other CIA agents use on her parents that one time. It was exactly the same.
"Wow.. But why did you call it your old job?" She asked a little more suspiciously.

Rachel instantly felt safer, not because of the safety lock -horrid experiences with that one- but because it was OUT OF HANDS.
"Yeah.." She answered, realizing that she was nearing an extremely important answer that, as usual, wouldn't change Rachel's respect on Lila. What starts stays.

Rachel felt a bit of sorrow from that.. but she didn't wish that Lila would ever go back in time because of it. Rachel would have lost a friend.
"Wow..." She said, and put a hand on her arm while biting her lip. She really didn't know what to say. Then it sort of came from her previous thought. "Do you ever wish you could like.. go back in time and stop from getting caught?"

Rachel listened attentively, and felt the room get a bit darker in the mood. It wasn't really a color.. just something someone might notice.
"Course you did." She finally said, looking up and smiling. "And the same for here.. and something tells me that i'm not going to move for a while."
And that was that.
"So! What now?" She asked. It was nearly her favorite question. She usually asked it when the tension of something just let go, and she was bored.

Rachel thought about this for a moment, looking down at her sunset pants. She really didn't know where to go.
Then when she felt the short bangs of hers fall in her face she smelled something funny. She pulled a lock of hair from behind her, and groaned. It was still singing at the ends.
"I need to get a PROFESSIONAL hair cut- no swords involved, no lava pits, a REAL one.." She said, and then cracked one of the singed ends of her hair off and crumbled it in her hands until it was merely dust when she let it go.

Rachel looked up in surprise. it actually wasn't a bad idea. She reached for her pocket instinctively to reach her phone, and then her hand hit nothing. So she looked in the other pocket frantically, and then just went to an unimpressed expression.
"My phone snapped in half at the forge.." She mumbled, and then put a hand on her hip. Everything that day was just BAD.

She sighed, and shrugged a bit. "Why not? It'd probably be ruined by some horrific scene by that ninja freak.. or have something odd happen- but that hasn't happened yet." She said, and then smiled.

Rachel looked at the phone curiously, since it was so different from her own, and finally figured out how to dial things. Her old phone was customized, and was completely different.
She called her mom, who was sick with worry, and explained that she was only at Clarisse's house. Rachel's mom asked if the ninja man came, because he'd been at the front door scaring them to death, but Rachel simply lied and said he didn't even try and come. Finally, she hung up, and handed the phone back to Lila, and frowned.
'All lies..' She thought, but shook the thought away.

"Wait.." She said. "ANOTHER cab..? Didn't we already go through this?"

Rachel smiled when Lila said the words "keep it."
"So does that mean i can customize it to the pixel?" She asked, and then started to take in what the phone looked like.
Then she laughed. "Blow up..? Then why do THEY have it if it's gonna blow up in their station..?" She asked. The police in this area were really stupid.
