Character Description
Melody

Personality/Work:
Personal Maid to the Prince.
She helps in the kitchen in her free time, but when she's working she has jobs like bringing the breakfast to the Prince in bed and making the bed in the morning. Melody is to be on constant call whenever the Prince needs her no matter what it is. Sometimes, on her break days, once a week, she goes out to the market to buy supplies and food for the castle. Rather a person who keeps to herself, Melody is the ideal maid, humble, quick, and tidy. Though, she's troubled by the fact that she takes details about the Prince personally. For instance, when he must go to council, she will call on him a few minutes before to see if he's ready yet.
Melody's personal life revolves around the castle, since she was brought up in the castle by the cook. She can sometimes be found hanging out with the rest of the servants and the knights or helping the stable-boy tend to the horses. Overall, a friendly person, but is somewhat uptight about work. She doesn't usually show her troubles to others, which can be a pain.

Appearence:
Her long black hair, if let down, will fall down to her upper back and brush at the corners of her eyes and cheekbones. There are men about the castle that wonder how her hair would look sprawled across their pillows or if she even wears it down in her sleep or under a hat. They wonder how her pale skin would look in the moonlight and how her somewhat small chest would move as she breathed. The truth was, there were many interested in her, but she always rejected all of them, which somewhat labeled her as a work-a-holic. The feature that draws people in the most are her blue green eyes that are full of expression.

Secrets:
Melody is secretly a supporter of true love, and refuses to get into a relationship with someone when she doesn't feel that legendary spark. xD
She is rather ticklish, and if caught off guard will yelp. Her weak spots are generally her ears and neck but she doesn't usually let people get near those areas.

A pale colored hand reached up toward the heavy wooden door once her shoes stopped clicking on the marble floor that lined the castle. The hallway was rather wide, with shining floors that reflected a part of her legs and her maid outfit with the white frills. Traditional. That's how the king liked it. For a moment Melody wondered what kind of outfit the Prince would like, but she brushed that aside, knocking on the heavy wooden door. She waited for a response, respectfully glancing at the ground and linking her hands on her thighs.

Xenden layed his head on the desk, until he heard a knock on the door. He looked up from where he was writing on the desk. He had just finished paperwork his father had given him. Ugh! Why do i have to do all this work he thought lazily as he made a hand gesture even though noone could have seen it, "Come in." he said. The prince's voice echoing in the room. He pushed away a few strands of his blonde hair that covered his face, revealing his emerald green eyes.

"Your highness," Melody greeted respectfully as she walked in and stood by the door, "Good morning, I have come to escort you to the breakfast with your uncle the duke. His majesty, your father will be greatly upset if you are late." She waited patiently for him, "Did you prepare?" He looked as if he had just finished up some work, "Would you like me to take those into the office for you?" Melody had that authority, and if it were her who checked them, the King probably wouldn't doubt any mistakes within the document having had been fixed. Though, Melody mused, I usually never have to fix anything, His majesty underestimates his son...

Xenden sighs softly, "Thank you, Melody dear" he stood up, rubbing his hair, "I don't know why i have to do all these documents for father, after all he is king..." he continued rambling, "even though i will king soon...i should learn.." he sighed once again walking to Melody, "Thank you though, you work very hard. You should take a bit of a vacation.." He said with a soft and gentle smile.

She curtsied low before entering farther into the room. Before returning the smile she gave him a small look, "It's my job," came the reply as she crossed the room to the front of his work desk. Beginning to gather up the papers she started her own ramble, "Even if you gave me a vacation I'd probably spend it in the castle anyhow...this was where I grew up and I intend to stay here your highness." In truth, the only reason why she was so close to the Prince was because they grew up together. Well, not necessarily together, but in the same castle. Melody couldn't remember any time where she had played with Xenden when they were kids, but that was alright, he depended on her now. "Are you ready for the breakfast with the Duke?" she asked, waiting for the response before she would escort him, or escort herself out so he could change. As she asked this, she thought to herself, he depends on me, I must make myself useful.

Xenden smiled, "I see, maybe i should i take you outside the castle with me." he spoke before nodding his princely head, "Yeah, i'm ready" he chuckled looking down at his outift, "I dont think they'd mind this.." he added tugging his sleeve up. He wore black and gold shirt that was neatly around his body and black dress pants that showed off his slender yet muscular legs.

"Whatever you wish your highness, I wouldn't have peace of mind if you were out of the castle without me near anyway," she held the papers in one arm and with the other, reached up to fix up his collar and gently brush his shoulders, "I don't think they'll mind it either." She stepped back to admire the Prince, smiling as he head tilted for a better look.

"Yes, what would i do without you" he spoke leaning in to kiss her cheek kindly, then walked towards the doors, "I'm guessing my uncle and father are in the dining hall..." he sighed not really wanting to see his father or uncle at the moment. All he wanted to do was go outside and have fun. Xenden was a playful man, although he could be very serious and blunt at times, the one thing he always wants to do, is to just have fun. He did enjoy being prince though, made him feel like he had responsiblites and that he wasn't a child anymore, soon he'd be King and would have to mature more in order to care for the people of the town. He was always kind and gentle towards others.

She stood there for a moment, somewhat dazed by his show of affection. Happiness...was it? Melody couldn't tell at all what this feeling was. However, all she knew was that she was supposed to be helping serve in the dining hall as well. Hurrying along, Melody decided to take care of the paperwork first, she walked behind Xenden for a moment, "I will be serving in the dining hall your highness. I will see you soon," smiling at him for a second before she moved toward a door. It was the King's study room right down the hall occupied by a heavy wooden desk and some trays for his work papers.

Xenden nodded, "Alright then" he smiled widely as he wandered deeper into the hallway and turned right at the end. There stood an elegant looking door, he gently grasped the knob and opened the door. "Sorry i'm a little bit later..Uncle, Father" he bowed his head before entering the room, "I had to finish the paperwork."

((Sorry, I have been gone recently. I have finals and some other commitments to take care of, perhaps for the next two weeks more as well. I'm really sorry again, hopefully you're not terribly mad. Thanks a lot.))
