Name
Kaito
Age
Sixteen
Gender
Male, obviously.
Race
Selkie
(No, not that kind of Selkie. This is a forest dwelling race that are more flexible and agile then normal humans.)
Weapon
He uses a type of decorative paddle looking weapon rather then bows and arrows. He does have bows and arrows too of course, but those are for hunting, so if he's up to something else, they're left at home.
Personality
It kind of depends on his mood. If he's annoyed, he can be a bit childish, and if he's angry or upset, he becomes more serious. Sometimes you can wonder if he's not older then he is, and other times, you wonder if he's a kid or something. And also, he is kind of lazy in the mornings.
Bio
Kaito was abandoned in the woods as a baby, but was found by one of the few villagers that actually lived in the woods, so for pretty much all his life, he's been living in a small village in the middle of the woods, along with some other people that's pretty much become both his friends and family. But recently, on his birthday, there was an attack on the small village, and pretty much everyone got killed in that, except for Kaito, since he was out in the woods during the attack. Quite a shock to come back to to see everyone you knew and loved dead, and specially on your birthday of all days. But on other hand, he tries to think positive, everything happens for a reason, even if he is rather lonely. But he won't leave the forest, since that's where he's been all his life after all, but it does happen that he takes small trips to other places outside the forest once in a while.

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Kaito gave both a heavy yawn and a sigh as he stretched out on his bed. He usually slept in every morning. And even if it had been a while since the attack on the village, he still kind of missed having his adoptive mother nagging at him that he was too old to act so lazy. But he had pretty much always been one to sleep trough the mornings. He was just in that kind of age where you slept whenever you could. Though, since he was the only one left in the village, he did have allot to do to try keep the village from crumbling. And on top of that, he wanted to pick some fresh flowers for the graves today as well. And that was somewhat time consuming, since there was about eleven graves to take care of, and he had buried them a bit away from the village, near a pound where his 'mother' used to take him all the time. It was his favorite spot, so he had pretty much gone trough the trouble to get the bodies away from the village and bury them around the pound.

But he didn't have time to think about that now. He had to chop some wood and go and light the fire places in the currently six empty homes, and seven with his own, to keep moist out and keep the inside dry, or it would start to mold and rot and eventually collapse, and then he had to make sure there were not damages on the outsides and insides, but that usually didn't take that long. And he didn't have to make repairs all that often luckily. But then he had a small garden that he took care of to, and the graves and he had to hunt once in a while to to get food, so there was still allot to do. But that didn't stop him from staying in bed for a few more minutes before he finally got up and went outside his own house, doing what he did every morning.

Giving yet another yawn, stretching his arms a bit and walking over to a little stream right next to his house and splashing some water in his face to wake himself up. And then, taking a glance over the empty village, as if hoping that he might have been mistaken and some one actually being alive. Though, that was just in his dreams. He really missed having people around. He sometimes had to speak to himself, or it was all just too quiet. Or singing some songs he had been taught. Anything to keep the silence away. But right now, he was still not awake enough for that. And thinking about it, he would probably end up going insane, if it hadn't been for the fact that there was still a bigger town a bit outside the forest. then he could at least go somewhere and be around people for a bit.

Though, she had nothing to do except work for people by doing odd jobs and trying to pay someone to teach her how to use the Ember dragon.

When she set out in the middle of the night, she didn't think it would be as scary as it was. The moon was high in the sky and shadows dance at every corner of the landscape. The trees looked eerier in the mask of the night, she gripped Ember dragon tightly as she moved through the darkness. Kaisana had been to busy wondering if anything was going to jump out and get her that she had lost her way. She sighed and mumbled 'perfect', as she continued to walk forward.

After walking a couple of miles she stumbled upon a small village. It looked abandoned, so there wouldn't be anyone to disturb her, or yell at her for taking refuge without asking. She went inside one of the homes, looked around and sighed happily. This would do for the night, then she would be up early in the morning and on her way. She crawled into bed, holding Ember dragon tight to her side, and fell asleep.

After spending what little time of the morning there still was left with chopping up wood and lighting fires in each and every houses fireplace, he only had one left. And that was the one next to his own. The one closest to the woods.

Well then. After this last house, he had other things to do. And he hated being so busy. But on other hand. He could just give it all up and simply maintain his own home instead. But that he didn't want to. All the memories he had was from this village. He didn't want to lose any of them, even if it was rather painful for him sometimes. But thinking of the more happy memories kind of helped. He had allot of good memories from growing up here after all.

But oh well. As he got to the last of the homes, he stepped inside, not really noticing the person sleeping in the bed inside. He was too busy to avoid dropping any of the firewood right now, so he just passed by the bed without paying any attention at all at first. Usually he would have sensed that there was some one there right away, but he had other things on his mind for now. So he just walked over to the fireplace, starting to make a fire going. It wasn't exactly cold or anything, but it was for the sake of keeping the moist away. No one used most of the homes anymore after all. But since it was a rather warm day out now, he was making sure to open all windows as well to get some fresh air into every home.

And even as he began to open the windows, he still didn't notice the sleeping person, till he came to the window by the bed. He got so surprised he couldn't help but to jump a bit. He hadn't noticed some one being there at all till now. Maybe he really was losing it? But of course, he was curious about who this person was. He hadn't seen a new face here in years. No one ever really came to the village at all. So he carefully shook her a bit, not wanting to give her a scare, since she probably thought no one was around or something. That was the most logical explanation of why some one would just wander into a random home and go to sleep after all.

"Hello? You're alive?"

Kaisana was having a wonderful dream about her family, how they would take long walks at sunset, her mother looking upon her and being so proud of her bravery, while her father did what most fathers did, worry. It was a nice dream that she wished she could live in forever, then she heard her father ask, 'Hello? You're live?'. She looked at him hard for a second like the question wasn't funny, but he shook her a bit and wouldn't stop. She sat straight up in the bed and slowly opened her eyes.

Father?"

She looked where her father would be standing once her eyes were open, she jumped up then off the bed holding Ember dragon out as a warning. Kaisana thought these homes were abandoned, so who was this person? Then it accrued to her, why should she be afraid of this person, the door was right there after all. Kaisana looked at the door and back at the guy who had woke her up from a perfect dream, she wondered if he would follow after her and how fast he was. Then again, if he did try to catch her, she could just shape shift and make a mad dash for it. While she was thinking, she didn't seem to notice the dead silence that had formed.

As the other jumped up out of the bed and pulled out a weapon at him, his expression changed to a bit more annoyed. This was one of his friends homes, and on top of that, she had been sleeping in his friends bed. He didn't care much about the fact that she was pointing a weapon at him though. He just hoped that she didn't plan on just leaving the bed in a mess like that since he had been making sure all the homes were in good shape and stayed clean and proper. So if she just left the bed like that, he would seriously beat her to a bloody pulp and make her fix the bed.

"I really hope you plan on making that bed again after yourself. And don't go point a weapon at some one in a home that's not yours. Unless you're a bandit, but you don't look the type at all."

He didn't know how good she was, but he was still sure that he could dodge it if she tired to hit him. His race were known for their animal like reflexes. They were strange ones, but they still looked human enough. But oh well. He was still curious of who on earth this person was, and what she was doing here.

Kaisana looked at him oddly and her hand with Ember dragon in it fell to her side as she tried to understand why he wasn't mad at anything else except the bed. This didn't make sense to her at all, why on earth would he be worried if she was going to make up the bed? She shook her head and snickered a bit. This was funny to her because no one has ever yelled at her for not making a bed once she jumped out of it, not to mention he didn't bring up on why she was here, and, or, if she really was a bandit.

"Your a funny one."

She was still a bit tired and annoyed, but other than that, she thought this was hilarious. She took her empty hand and rubbed it through her short blue hair as she tried to understand everything. Was she wrong about this place being abandoned, it seemed like it or else the upset looking boy wouldn't be here. She sighed and slipped Ember dragon to rest on her back. Apparently all she would get from him was a slap on the hand like her father would give her for being bad.

Live here alone?

Kaisana was trying to find any information out about this place. Plus, if she asked him his story, maybe he wouldn't be so upset with her and she could probably sneak off. Though, that wouldn't help much since she had no idea where she was at. Either way, she shrugged as if she was having a conversation with herself, she would have him point her in the right way and she would be on her way.

He was still a bit annoyed about this, since she could at least have made sure no one was here before she just went ahead and settled down in some ones bed like that. Not that anyone really used it, but still. And as she asked him if he lived there, he actually seemed more annoyed. He didn't live in this house and all, which kind of made it feel even more wrong that she was here.

"If you mean if I live alone in this village, then yes, but if you mean if I live alone in this house, then no. This isn't my house at all. It used to belong to a friend of mine and her older brother."

Probably sounded odd enough for one guy his age to be all alone in the village. But if she wanted to know why she would have to ask first, since he wouldn't tell her straight out. It was still a touchy subject, but he would answer if she asked.

"What are you doing here anyway? People never come here. Specially not to sleep."

She looked at him puzzled now as she tried to come up with a good story. Kaisana ran through them in her head as she continued to stare like an idiot, 'my dad died and I ran away to get away from his lingering memory..nope, I ran away to see the world..nope, I..wait', she straightened up and looked at him hard now.

"I don't have to tell you anything. If I slept here and wasn't suppose too, big deal! As far as you have explained it, your here alone anyway and could use some interaction with a person instead of trees and...and..leaves."

Kaisana didn't have to explain anything to this guy, plus she couldn't think up anything good to tell him. So, might as well turn this into a screaming match so she can make a run for it. Though, she was pretty sure he would notice her changing into an animal and running off, you kind of can't hide that or be sneaky about it. She put her hands on her hips as she glared at the poor guy.

"Besides, don't you have something else to do? Or, am I just the entertainment of today. And your friend, then where is he and why aren't you nicer..since you apparently have human contact. Don't you know how to speak to people?"

She sighed and threw her hands up in frustration as she walked over to the front door and make a run for it. Hopefully this guy was easy to make a fool of or she might not get to far unless she poofs into an animal.

He was getting pretty pissed off at this girl. She was seriously acting as if she owned the place. If anyone owned anything in this village it was him. He grew up here after all. And when she asked about his friend, it was too much. She had really stepped over the edge, and at this rate, he was so mad that he was seriously crying. The people of the village was a really sensitive subject for him still.

He really wasn't giving her an option, he walked over to the front door and opened it, and even if you weren't supposed to hit a girl at all, once he opened the door, he took a few steps around her and actually kicked her out of the house. And he would kick her out of the village if he had to. He was not letting her stay in the village if she was going to be like that.

He stepped out of the house too, glaring at her, clearly furious.

"Get out! If I see you in the village ever again I'll make you regret you were born!"

If she didn't get the hint just from that, she probably would if she went to a pound near the village. That's where he had buried everyone. And he had made crosses for every grave, as well as picking fresh flowers to put on the graves every day.

Kaisana was surprised when she actually got kicked out of the house, she knew something was up when he opened the door, but she didn't expect him to kick her literally out of the house. She spun around to stare at him all confused and saw he was crying, she sighed and sat on the ground in front of him.

"What did I say to make you cry?"

She could not believe she was feeling sorry for this guy, then again, she apparently upset him enough to cry, or maybe it was because she got him to angry at her. Either way, she wanted to know so she could try to fix it. Sometimes she hated being her and for opening her big mouth when it should stay shut. She laid her arms in her lap as she was sitting Indian style on the ground. As she waited for him to answer, or to try and move her she couldn't help but think, 'this is turning out to be a weird and grumpy morning.'

He really wasn't in the mood to talk to her at all. He just wanted her to leave. Hadn't she guessed that if no one but him was here, that something happened? The people of this village would never go and just leave him and their homes. Everyone that had lived here had all thought of him as their own. Everyone had helped to raise him. And this person here seriously didn't know when she should just be quiet and stop making matters worse and worse.

"They're all dead! They village got attacked and they killed everyone! Now go away!!"

He clearly wasn't in the mood to think more about this now. It really had been the worst birthday in his life. Coming back from his coming of age ceremony just to find everyone dead. And worst was, that the attackers hadn't taken anything. So they had just attacked without any reason at all. They had just killed them because they could. And who would be as cruel to just wipe out a friendly and peaceful village like that? And Kaito was clearly having trouble moving on with life. All he had ever known was the forest and this village, so he wasn't ready for the outside world at all. That was the entire point of him becoming sixteen. He was supposed to start xploring and learning more of the world outside these woods. But that seemed to never happen, as he was keeping himself here to take care of the village.

Kaisana got to her feet and nodded. She knew what it was like to have everything in your little world disappear without you being able to do anything about it. The helpless feeling you get once your mind realizes your alone in this world with no one to care for you or to teach you the simple things in life. She knows exactly what it's like to feel abandoned. Kaisana looked into the boys eyes and her face seemed to soften a little.

"I understand how you feel. My mother died having me and my father was all I knew until he went off and got himself killed. For awhile I was depressed and felt alone, then came the stage of hatred toward him. How could he allow himself to be beaten up so bad that he left me here all by myself."She was sure she was going to hit another nerve, but she went on anyway, "It wasn't your fault you know. You couldn't have helped them even if you tried, you would have been killed as well. I'm guessing raiders came through here..."

Kaisana stepped back away from in case he decided he wanted to lash out by smacking her. It's not like she couldn't take it, but it would hurt and then her temper would flare up yet again, so to keep this as neutral as possible she took the steps back for both their sakes.

He just shook his head at what she was saying. She wasn't understanding it at all. He might have lost family, in a way. He had been abandoned in these woods as a baby and he had been found by one of the villagers who had taken him in. And everyone here had always been so nice and kind to him. And he knew very well it wasn't his fault. And he knew that if he had been there he would have been killed to. The people of this village were no fighters, so they hadn't stood a chance when the village was attacked.

"You don't understand it at all. I never knew my real parents. They abandoned me in these woods, and one of the villagers found me. And everyone was always so nice and kind. They were all like a family to me. And I know that if I had been here when the village was attacked, I would have died to. The people here were no fighters. So I know very well that they didn't have a chance. But that's why it's so hard. If the attackers wanted something from here they could just have asked for it and they would get it. And since nothing was missing, it means they just killed them for the joy of it!"

Except for the part of family dying, it wasn't really the same as her. He was not mad at the villagers for getting killed or anything. But he really hated those that killed them. There was no reason for them to be killed, so why did they do it? Does some people really find that much pleasure in killing innocent people?
