Jason was sitting in his girlfriend's dorm room, waiting for her best friend to come back. So, for Jason, it was just an average day. Hanging out with his girlfriend and waiting for other people. He didn't mind, no, not at all. In fact, he enjoyed spending time with her. She was his best friend. They liked the same food, sports, everything. It was like they were the same person with two different genders.

He was sitting on the edge of the bed with her like most days, one arm around her shoulder and a smiling face, talking about one thing or another. They hadn't had a very exciting day, in fact, Jenny couldn't stop talking about how much she loved her friend, and how long they'd known each other and blah, blah, blah. At least, that's what it seemed like to him. Sure, he had probably seen her around campus once or twice. After all, it was his Junior year. He'd seen everyone there a couple of times.

Amara sighed in contentment a soft smile gracing her lips as she walked the short distance left to her dorm room. She had thoroughly enjoyed her vacation with her family. She had gotten plenty of time to see family members she hadn’t seen in months and had gotten to enjoy the warm weather. Now she was back in school and though she was excited to see her best friend she was a little disappointed that she had to come back to school so soon.

Finally reaching her dorm room she opened the door and stepped inside. A large smile of delight instantly spread across her face at the sight of her friend she dropped her bags at the door and walked forward to hug Jenny. She hadn’t even noticed the male in the room until she stepped away from Jenny. She studied him quickly giving him an approving glance as Jenny took her hand and pulled her forward to introduce them.

Jason smiled a dazzling smile as he extended his hand and grabbed hers, shaking it up and down gently. "Nice to meet you. I'm Jason. You must be Amara - Jenny has been talking about you non-stop." He said, turning his face and winking at his girlfriend playfully. He grinned and stepped back, sitting back on the bed.

"So, I feel like I've known you forever. Jenny here told me everything about you almost." He said, chuckling lightly. "Well, I heard you went on a vacation to see your family. I think that's sweet." He said casually.

Amara smiled warmly back at him taking his hand willingly, pleased that she was finally meeting the boyfriend that had stolen Jenny’s heart. “Its nice to meet you Jason” she said happily as a slight blush crept across her face at the thought of what Jenny might have told him. She took a sidelong look at her friend who in return just shrugged. Amara returned her attention back to Jason when he asked about her vacation. She smiled sheepishly not quite sure what to say to him. “Ya well… it was nice. I got to enjoy the warm weather and relax at the beach so it was worth it”

Jason smiled. "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Poor Jenny here had to stay with me all vacation." He said, smiling as her and kissing her cheek sweetly. It was actually because she stayed that they met. Within the first week of vacation they had began dating. They met a few days before that and had lunch, and that was the end of it. Quick and simple meeting, and then bam, relationship.

Amara glanced at Jenny flashing her a deviant smile “ya I’m sure she was just bored out of her mind” she then turned her attention back to Jason she was never vary good at meeting people and she felt slightly awkward that he knew more about her then she did him.

she held up her hand with one finger raised as she gave them both an awkward smile. “if you’ll excuse me for just one moment I should probably move my bags before they get trampled” she hastily spun around her skit raising slightly as it twirled around her. she reached her bags that had been carelessly left at the door within seconds, and had them relocated to her bed. She plopped down on her bed and delicately brushed a few stray blond hairs that had settled on her cheek.

She smiled meekly at the two as Jenny jumped into story’s about her and Jason. Amara kept a polite smile on as she nodded her head every so often and made comments when was necessary seemingly focused on what her friend had to say but she couldn’t deny the fact that she was watching Jason.

Jason smiled every so often at Amara, listening to his girlfriend's stories. After a few minutes, he stood up. "Well baby, I should get going." He leaned down and kissed her nose, "I promised the guys I'd be over soon. It was nice meeting you Amara." He said with a casual smile. She seemed sweet, but he didn't really know her, so he couldn't pass any judgement yet.

After a few complaints from Jenny, he got the okay to go. "It was nice to meet you." He said again to Amara, walking out the hall and shutting it gently walking down the hall. After a few minutes he got back to his dorm, two of his friends waiting there for him.
"So, you ready for the football game!?" A tanned boy by the name of Jay asked.
"You know it." Jason replied, walking over to the pantry and pulling out a few bags of chips and throwing them to his friends.
"Sweet. So, who was Jenny's famous friend that just came back?" A white boy around Jason's age with frosty blond hair asked.
"Oh, Amara? She's cute. Seems nice, we didn't talk much." He said plainly, turning the TV on.
The white boy and Jay looked at each other. "Amara? Dog, I tried getting with her once... Damn she was gorgeous. How could you NOT notice that?!" The white one said, his name was Kris.
"Yeah Kris, and you got denied. Completely. Rejected." Jay rambled on, mocking his friend.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm sure she's special, but I'm happy with Jenny. And I don't know her." He said casually.

Amara flashed a smile in Jason’s direction “it was nice to meet you too” she turned her head to the side not wanting to watch the affection between the two. Instead she looked out their only window as she listened quietly to Jenny’s protests. Turning her head back when Jason addressed her again she smiled sweetly at him nodding her head in acknowledgement.

When he left, Jenny jumped on her asking all sorts of questions concerning her new boyfriend. What did she think of him? did she like him? wasn’t he cute? It went on and on. Amara gave the expected answers a friend usually gave. He seemed nice. He seemed likable but honestly she just met him so….? And finally… yes he was cute. She got up to start unpacking her things as Jenny continued to ramble about Jason.

Amara listened quietly laughing when it was necessary. When she was done unpacking she tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and gave her friend a genuine smile. “alright that’s finished. I’m starving lets get some food” Jenny agreed linking arms with Amara as they walked out of their dorm room.

After the game was done, Kris and Jay stood up. "I'm hungry..." Kris complained.
"What?! You guys just ate ALL of my chips!" Jason protested.
"Yeah, well, like mama always said, I'm a growing boy. I need more food." Jay said, joining into the pestering of Jason.
"Well why are you telling me this? Why didn't you just leave and go eat you mooches." Jason fired back in a slightly joking, slightly serious manner.
"Well... Err..." Kris mumbled, not wanting to answer flat out.
"We're broke. We spent all our money on the last game and lost it." Jay spit out.
With a sigh, Jason stood up and walked towards the door, "Fine, fine..." He grumbled, opening it and walking out. "Don't you guys dare leave my door open again. Last time someone stole my boom box." He said to the others, not looking back.

When the three men had gotten to the food court, Jason went to find a table and see what they got to eat. Kris went to the table with 2 hamburgers, a plate full of fries, a chocolate shake, and a baked potato. Jason sighed, knowing he was going to end up broke before the end of the day. Jay, on the other hand, walked back to the table with some chicken nuggets, a few fries, and an orange. Surprised, Jason made a remark. "Jeeze Jay, going on a diet or something? Or just trying to look mature now that your crush, Amara, is back." He said, sticking out his tongue then walking over to get food.

He picked up a single cheeseburger, home-fries, and a baked potato. And when no one was watching, he grabbed an apple juice and slid it into his pocket. When he had paid for all three meals, he walked back to the table and sat down, beginning to eat his home-fries.

Making their way down to the food court Amara and Jenny talked about their separate vacations. Amara smiled content to be back with her friend. Once in the food court they made their way to the counter to pick up food. Amara picked out a hamburger, fries and a water as Jenny grabbed a Cheese burger, fries and a pop. Jenny paid for her meal first and as Amara was paying for her meal her friend squealed.

Turning to look to see why she had made such a noise her eyes landed on the table Jason was sitting at with what was most likely his friends.

“Oh good” Jenny said gleefully turning back to look at Amara “we can sit with Jason …. Aaand you can meet his friends” when Amara was done paying she moved to stand beside Jenny squinting her eyes to see the occupants at the table better. She noticed one of them. it had been someone that had tried to ask her out a couple of months ago. To say the least he hadn’t been her type though she had tried to let him down gently not wanting to create any ill feelings. Amara sighed exasperated and slightly frustrated that she would have to be placed at the table with him. ‘this is going to be awkward’ she thought sourly “Yea I know one of them” she told Jenny as they made their way over to the table. Jenny paused for a moment then continued to walk.

“Oh yea that one ask you out once didn’t he” she asked pointing toward Jay. Amara only nodded as she put on a friendly smile while her friend whispered a sorry before they made it to the table. “Hi Jason!” Jenny exclaimed excitedly moving to sit as close to him as possible. She then turned to the other males at the table. “hi you guys” Amara took her seat slowly next to her friend sitting more isolated from the rest of them. smiling at the group she greeted them with a meek hi.

Jason smiled as he heard the familiar squeal his girlfriend enjoyed making oh so often. He gently kissed her lips once as she sat next to him. "Well, that was fast." He said, smiling in an adoring manner at her. In all truth though, that squeal annoyed the hell out of him. "Hello again Amara." He said, turning his attention to her with a kind hello. "Guess you couldn't get away from me for too long." He teased, sticking his tongue out at her for a moment before eating the last of his home fries.

"Hello Amara." Jay said, grinning in a mischievous way. It was a bit terrifying if you had known him very well. "Have you reconsidered my offer?" He asked, grinning even more.

Jason sighed and elbowed his friend. "Sorry about that. These Frat boys, they just can't take a hint, can they?" He asked. Kris was his dorm mate, but Jay had pledged to a fraternity, a heavy partying fraternity.

Kris chuckled to himself. "Yo Amara. Jason said you went to vacation with your parents." He said casually. Kris and Jason had the same opinion of Amara at that point. They both thought she was cute and nice, but they didn't know her very well. "Had a good time, I assume." He said, biting into his second burger and dripping ketchup all over himself. He muttered some curses under his breathe and grabbed a napkin, roughly wiping it off and ending up with a stain the size of a fist on his shirt.

"Jeeze. You're such a pig..." Jason remarked in a teasing tone to Kris.

Amara smiled back at Jason and greeted him with a friendly ‘hey’. Upon hearing his teasing remark Amara made one of her own. She sighed dramatically and she leaned back in her seat as she placed the back of her hand to her forehead “No I guess not” she said with an exasperated voice. She then straitened up putting her hand in her lap as she leaned forward smiling she winking at him. “I think I’ll manage though after all I’m sure I’m going to be seeing you a lot more often” at her antics Jenny promptly nudged her in the stomach with her elbow. She made an apologetic smile at her friend as she took a bit of her food.

Amara turned her gaze to Jay when he addressed her and took in his grin. Wearily she put her food down and made and apologetic smile. “no, sorry” she said as gently as she could. Amara sighed in relief when Jason butt in. she flashed him a thank you smile as she picked her food back up.

Turning her attention to Jason’s other friend she blushed slightly as he mentioned her family. ‘how many people know what I did for vacation’ she thought worriedly. She nodded her head and bit her lower lip before she answered.

“well really we went to visit my whole family that lives a few states away. Its not often we get to see them… maybe once a year. Anyway they live near an ocean so I got a lot of beach time as well. So yea it was fun” She smiled at the thought. She picked her food back up and stopped mid bit and started to giggle faintly as Kris started cursing and muttering about the spilt ketchup.

Jason chuckled as everything went on around him. He slipped his hand under the table to hold Jenny's. She smiled and kissed him lightly on the cheek. After a minute of that, Jay finished his food and promptly stood up and spoke. "Well, I've gotta go set up for one of my frat's sick parties. You guys wanna come?" He asked, throwing his garbage away and putting the tray back up.

Jason looked at Jenny. "I'm game. Think you can come?" He asked her, then looked at Amara. "You're invited too." He said, smiling at her, not wanting her to feel out of the loop.

Kris quickly interjected, "I can come." He said, finishing up the last of his food. Even though he got about twice as much as the others, he still finished it in the same amount of time. That was Kris for you.

"Alright." Jay said, waiting mainly for Amara and Jenny to decide if they wanted to go, and if they could.

Jenny looked at her boyfriend, frowning a bit. "Sorry baby, I can't make it. I have to study. Mrs.Onargo said there would be a test when class started again, so I need to catch up in the reading, I've been putting it off all vacation." She said, apologetically. "But you should still go!" She said, as if her not going would've changed Jason's answer. "And you too Amara. You and Jason should get to know each other better!" She said, smiling as if they were going to be the best of friends.

Amara continued to eat quietly as she surveyed the other occupants at the table. She sight contently when she was finished. Looking up at Jay as he stood she silently wished she wouldn’t be invited when he mention the party. It wasn’t that she didn’t enjoy cutting loose and getting wild every now and then but she always felt like she didn’t belong. Then as Jason so nobly invited her she inwardly sighed. At least she would be going with a friend right. wrong! She felt a nervous knot tie in her belly as her friend told them of her previous engagement.

Amara almost felt that she might be home free. That she might be able to pass off the same excuse… until Jenny threw her into the fire with out a qualm. “sure sounds fun.” She said smiling with a nervous note in her voice.

Oh great a party, wonderful. Honestly she really wasn’t one for a party let alone a party that she didn’t know anyone! Her saving grace was going to have to be Jason. Her friend seemed hell-bent on them getting to know each other and Amara knew it. Jenny knew how she felt about parties let alone parties where she barely knew anyone. She usually tended to latch on the first person she recognized until she felt comfortable enough to mingle with the other party goers. so she would play along with this game Jenny had set up and wait for her time to strike. Her friend may have won the battle but the war was not over.

When Jenny stood to leave exclaiming that she must get going Amara followed her lead giving the boys a quick good bye and a sweet smile while Jenny kissed Jason good bye. While heading for their room Amara practically growled at her friend who in turn smiled and plainly responded with. “oh you need to lighten up and have some fun for once” she smiled lost in her own dreamland as Amara entertained thoughts of hitting her upside the head. Only to have to slam her hands over her ears as her friend squealed. “oh I’ve got the perfect out fit in mind for you tonight” Amara watched her friend in apprehension as she started to plane things out.

Jason waved goodbye to Jay as he walked out of the building and off to his Fraternity. The party was scheduled to start at about 7pm that night, so only a few hours to blow off until he could go get Amara and take her over there. He figured she would probably know how to get there, but he felt it was the polite thing to do.

He and Kris began walking back to their dorm room, making light conversation as they went, nothing in particular. When they walked into their room, Kris jumped onto his bed and began throwing a small basketball into a miniature hoop they had hooked up to the back of their door. Jason on the other hand was thinking what the party would be like with Amara. It would be fun and they'd get along. Of course, when he started thinking of that, he couldn't help but imagine her in a small red dress, dancing with him... And well, things got out of hand after that.

A small blush crossed his cheeks as he brushed the images out of his head, unfortunately, Kris saw. "What're you thinking about that's making you feel so guilty that..." He began, then his eyes grew wide. "Oh my god. You weren't!" He said, sitting up and looking at his friend.

"You're right, I wasn't." Jason commented, looking at Kris sternly. "I was thinking about Jenny, and that's how it says, got it?" He asked Kris with a slight threatening undertone.

Kris laughed. "You were totally thinking about Amara!" He said, laughing. "You barely know her!" He commented, laughing even more at his friend.

Jason picked up a small football and launched it at Kris's face, hitting him in the eye. "I was thinking of Jenny." He said again, growling a bit at Kris. He didn't need all of that, he did barely know her, and she was Jenny's best friend. There were so many things wrong with his images, it was unbelievable.

"What's your problem? You were thinking of a hot girl, boo hoo. She may be Jenny's best friend, but it's not like you're gonna do it with her." He said, throwing the ball back.

"Yeah, yeah..." Jason muttered, catching the ball, then laying on his bed and dropping the ball. But of course, the images went back to his head. Kris noticed his blush coming back and his arousal, but said nothing. After a minute, Jason sat up again. "I'm going for a walk. I probably won't be back until I need to get changed to pick up Amara..." He said, lowering his tone a bit. He walked out the door and then paced up and down the hall way.

Her normally bounded up hair was let loose, her shoulder length blond hair was straight. Her friend had always said she loved her hair and couldn’t understand why she always had it up. Amara would always reply that it was easer to keep it up so that it didn’t fall in her eyes. she sighed frustrated, it wasn’t the real reason. Though it did help keep the hair out of her eyes the truth was she was hit on more often when her hair was down. she had been so nervous around all those males and all that attention that she had just opted to keep it up.

Eyeing her self in the full length mirror Amara could only imagine what kind of attention she would be getting tonight, she never understood why males would give her so much attention. She would mostly skirt away from it unsure of how to act. In truth she had had only one boyfriend in her life and after that experience she wasn’t ready to be eyed a ‘meat’ again.

she wore a tight fitting blood red dress that came to her mid thigh exposing her long cream colored legs. The sides of the dress where held together with a small string making ‘X’ patterns exposing the flesh of her curvy waist. While the dresses top showed a good amount of cleavage. she hadn’t understood why Jenny wanted her to wear this dress, she did after all have plenty that were black and green that didn’t nearly show as much skin. But Jenny had insisted saying that it was time Amara started attracting boys again. to say the least Amara hadn’t responded to that.

After a while, Jason saw Kris walking down the hall and probably headed to the party. He walked back into his room, and not wanting to be too under dressed, but not too dressy, he put on a pair of jeans that were loosely fitted with some holes every now and then from playing so many sports in them. He took of his shirt and then picked up a see through one, putting it on and putting a black tight shirt on over it.

He walked down the hall and back to Jenny's dorm, knocking on the door promptly. Jenny answered and let him. He looked at Amara, his eyes widened a bit, but he looked back to Jenny, making sure she didn't notice. It was as if the first part of his little imaginative story had just come true. A sexy red dress... He had to swallow hard, not to get those images in his head again.

"Well, you look... Stunning, Amara. Really." He said, smiling and trying to make it sound casual. He hugged Jenny and kissed her cheek; it was obvious she wanted a kiss on the lips, but he couldn't bring himself to do it with what he had imagined earlier. "Well, we should be off. The party is starting soon." He said, smiling at Amara again and holding the door open for her. "Goodluck with your studying, Jen." He said, not even able to call her 'babe' or 'hun'.

Amara turned suddenly as a knock came at the door. She was so very nervous. She should have fought better for a more conservative dress! She practically yelled at herself. when Jason came in Amara gave him a quick glance over. She was over dressed! She yelled at herself again. Damn damn and double damn tonight was obviously not going to be her night. She blushed deeply when Jason commented on her. Amara stepped forward as he held open door. She nodding as Jason urged her forward with his comment about the party starting soon. She went to move quickly but found it difficult as the dress road up her thigh a little.

She blushed pulling it down and began to walk more slowly. She turned toward Jenny before stepping fully out into the hallway. “good luck with studying” her voice held a nervous husky quality to it as she felt like she was being thrown to the wolves. Jenny replied with a non so enthusiastic ‘yea’ as Amara stepped fully into the hallway. She turned fully toward Jason but couldn’t bring herself to fully look him in the face yet, so she kept her head down staring at the carpet. “so…. Shall we go?” her voice wouldn’t get that nervous husky edge out of it. damn it! she was sooooooo screwed tonight. Maybe she would be lucky and she could get a few drinks in her, that would make her relax.

Jason smiled and said goodbye to Jenny one more time before shutting the door and walking with Amara, watching the dress ride up her leg. His arousal quickly came back, but he hoped to God that she wouldn't notice. "Sure." He said, walking by her side.

"So, uhh... You do look really good..." He said again, hoping she wouldn't think anything of it.

After a few minutes they had gotten off campus and could see the party. "Hey, so, I know that Jay and some of his friends are probably going to get smashed, and if they start bothering you, just let me know, okay?" He told her was a compassionate smile, glad his body was back to normal.

Walking into the giant building, he said hello to some of the guys there and nodded approvingly at the hot chicks they had landed for that night. He was a bit bummed he couldn't be like them anymore. He had cheated on his last girlfriend, and had sworn to himself he wouldn't do it again. He went over to the punch; of course it was spiked. He knew that right away. He grabbed another cup and offered it to Amara innocently, not thinking about how his actions could effect anything. "Want a glass?" He asked her with a casual smile.

A slight pink covered her cheeks as she complimented her again. she took a sidelong glance at him from the corner of her eye. He was cute she’d give him that but she wasn’t the type to jump at males just because they were cute, besides this was her best friends boyfriend he was completely off limits! She returned her gaze to the forefront as they reached the party.

She stepped closer to Jason almost wanting to hide herself from prying eyes. she glanced up at him as he offered her what little protection he could after all she was single he was not. It didn’t matter she would take it. she nodded at him “thank you” she replied to him unsure of what else to say to show her gratitude. She fallowed him inside and nodded acknowledgments to those they past as Jason greeted his friends. She kept close to him trying to ignore some of the looks she got.

“yes thank you” she smiled sweetly at him as she took the glass hoping desperately that it was spiked. She took a quick sip to make sure… and didn’t really taste anything out of the ordinary. ‘oh well’ she thought silently ‘maybe I shouldn’t drink any liquor’ she thought seriously to herself taking in all the events that were going on around her. better to keep her wits then to be completely screwed later on tonight… no pun intended. She thought grimly to herself, she finished her drink quickly and took another glass that was offered to her by a leering male.

Jason chuckled as she tried to hide herself. "Well, if you're gonna keep yourself away from other guys, can I at least have a dance?" He asked before he realized what he had done. He swallowed again, smiling and grabbing her hand before she could respond and gently pulling her onto the dance floor, beginning to dance to a fast song.

After a minute or two of dancing to that song, though, a slower one came on. Jason looked up to see Jay at the DJ station and staring right at him and Amara. He glared at Jay for a minute, before looking back at Amara. "Well, damn. Is it too uncomfortable to dance to this, or are you okay to continue?" He asked, smiling innocently at her.

She felt undignified that he had chuckled at her but knew that he had every right to. she was hiding behind him after all. What she hadn’t expected was to be asked to dance she was about to respond with an I’m not very good when he had taken her hand and led her out onto the dance floor. The song was faster and she did her best to keep up with the beat while at the same time trying to keep her dress from riding up.

After a few minutes the song turned to a slow song. Amara almost gulped as her nerves dropped to the pit of her stomach. She just NEW it was not going to be her night but she was starting to feel a little less nervous maybe there had been something in the punch? She blushed slightly. “yea” she said smiling shyly up at him. “I can continue, that is if you still want to” darn it she should have declined. She was going to dance to a slow dance with her best friends boyfriend, this had bad written all over it.

He smiled a little, looking down at her. "I do." He said innocently, wrapping his arms around her waist, holding her a bit too close for the relationship they had, but not close enough to think that he had sex on his mind. And he didn't - at least, not at the moment. He had gotten rid of those images for a while, anyways.

He leaned down and his lips brushed her ear as he whispered, "If you want, we can just go drink more punch." He said, lifting his head back up and blushing a bit. She smelled nice, no doubt Jenny had made her wear perfume or something. No matter what it was, she smelled nicer than Jenny ever had.
