AyameK and Silver's rp
Well, seeing as I'm basically high off of NyQuil, don't expect much here. :sarcasm: Thanks, Mangi. Srsly, didn't really need that stuff, I'm feeling better, but w/e. XP
RP between me and Ayame, feel free to read but no posty. My profile Name: Jade Age: Appears 21 Gender: Male Race: Kitsune Taiyoukai (Greater Fox Spirit/Demon) Appearance: Jade is a little over six foot, and has chestnut colored hair. His eyes are very interesting, in that one is the typical crimson that runs in his family line, but the left is a vibrant, beautiful green as bright as the grass. It's unclear what causes this phenomenon, but it's very rare in his line. As he is a fox demon, he also has long, triangular ears the color of his hair situated atop his head. The very tips are black, like a normal fox. In his human form, Jade has one tail, though he rarely shows his demon form to others, thus the number of tails he has--when not holding back--is little known. Personality: Jade is most prevalently, a trickster. He's cynical, sarcastic, and very witty...but he also likes to play games and trick people whenever he can. In addition, he's usually always smiling, and not very forthright with his inner emotion. Jade doesn't take well to complacent ignorance. If someone is being an idiot on purpose and has no wish to correct themselves, he will most likely grow annoyed. And when he is annoyed, you better watch out. Despite all, he is a fiercely loyal individual, due to his kitsune nature, and always keeps to his word. It would take a lot for him to break his word to another, human or demon. Abilities/Weapons: As far as weaponry, Jade has a naginata at his disposal. It's blade is crafted out of a very hard alloy that is rumored to be adamant (diamond). Whether this is true or not cannot be vouched for, but at the most, the blade does not dull, and it has a very odd shimmer to it. At first glance, it doesn't appear to have any sort of counter-weight, which would make it very unwieldy. But that is not so. Its counterweight is within the core of the weapon's other side. Being that he is kitsune, Jade has the ability to take many shapes, as it is his power of transformation. This makes it very easy to hide. As if that wasn't enough, he also has the power to make very convincing illusions. Because the base of his powers are partially shadow, some of these illusions can be made real. However, to do such a thing would cause a great expenditure of energy, so he normally does not create corporeal things. Another obvious ability of Jade's is to transform into a fox. He can manipulate his size and appearance in accordance to his powers, but in essence, it is his human form which is the veneer, his fox form being his purest and truest. Few have seen him in this form. And finally...although Jade is male, he is also able to seduce. It is typically female kitsune that are attributed to this, but then again...most kitsune that seek to seduce are female anyway. He has used his charisma to get many things he wants, such as food, boarding, or just a woman. He does not find this seduction, nor the act of intercourse as any sort of infidelity. No one likes him anyway, he may as well sate his lust. History: As far as now, there's not much to say. I'll give you the bare bones anyway, lol. But the rest is for you to figure out as the rp goes along. Jade has been around for a long time, he knows a lot of things. He's well-traveled across Japan. His parents aren't really well known, save for his father. Persecuted for most of his life for being a demon, he is more or less uncaring to the plights of others unless there is some benefit to him. Why risk his neck for those who would slice it, after all? This has also left him very much alone, as he has no living family to speak of. Other: Jade is very taken with books, and his thirst for knowledge is insatiable. He is also very fond of sweets, particularly strawberry onigiri. Despite his age, he would be very easily swayed if strawberry rice balls were in the equation. |
Jeeze, it's been like twenty years since I've done this Dx
Name - Ayame Age - 17-20ish in appearance, still pretty young as her race goes Gender - Female Race - Kitsune hanyou Appearance - Roughly 5'1 and maybe 150 pounds soaking wet. You know what she looks like. =P I'll post a picture though if you want me to. Personality - Kind of a klutz, but very skilled with her hands. She was trained in the arts of healing by her human foster mother. Has almost no shame. Hasn't really tried the seducing game, but then again she's kind of a loner. No one likes to be around her because of her half-demon blood. She was accused of being the one that attacked her village and slaughtered her people and as a result she has very few friends and is a little withdrawn. She carries most of her belongings in her tail. Abilities/Weapons - a collapsible blade staff, Hoshiko, that gives off green sparks when she's really mad. She's not very good with it, but sometimes she improves mysteriously and can cause devastating attacks. She focuses more on healing than transforming, as she is not very good at it. She can manage a deformed bird, a rabbit with a missing ear, and, if she really concentrates, she can make her ears and tail vanish and appear human. As to her healing abilities, despite her clumsiness, she is one of the better healers in her village, and she is able to cure most ailments and treat even the deepest of blade cuts. She also practices advanced healing methods, unfamiliar to most people (STITCHES). History - Was found in the woods as a baby and raised by an elderly medicine woman in a small village at the base of a mountain. Her foster mother was very kind and caring and taught her the ways of healing and most of what she knows about the world. Thirteen years after she came to the village, on a night when Ayame was in the mountains gathering plants and berries, it was attacked and nearly wiped out. Her mother died in the attack. The survivors wrongly accused Ayame of being the attacker and banished her. She now wanders the area, searching for clues to who murdered her mother, and perfecting her healing techniques. Other - She is very curious, almost to the point of it being a fault. On more than one occasion she has bitten off more than she could chew and once almost ended up dead. She loves the water, and enjoys swimming and bathing as often as she can. She also has a weakness for anything sweet, and she's also been known to go sniffing around in vineyards and alehouses in the middle of the night and end up naked in a koi pond or hanging out of a rain barrel the next morning. |
(I shall begin then. In the most typical and painful way I know how.)
There was only one thing that crossed the kitsune's mind as he lay tied to that log, so near the forest. Gods, it hurts. And hurt it did, for Jade had been subjected to quite the punishment by the villagers. He was very clever, yes, and very powerful, but even a taiyoukai can be brought to his knees with the proper opposition. This particular opposition came in the form of a taijiya. Very skilled, very dangerous...and very beautiful, he had to admit. Perhaps were they not on opposing sides of the board, he might be a little more open to flirtation with her. As it stood, she had not been impressed, and his punishment from the villagers after being subdued had been painful. His raw and bloodied back lay bare before the elements, where he'd obviously been slashed with a whip, while his arms had been cut and bruised with stones and sharp objects, and his shoulder length chestnut hair had been cut unevenly to nearly the top of his neck, a clean sword slice if not a painful one. One ear was tattered and bloody as well. Needless to say, the demon was in no shape to move. And yet move he did, gnawing animalistically on his bindings. Aside from being mad for the want of food, dehydrated and not to mention bleeding his taiyoukai blood out for any half-baked demon to sniff and come snooping around looking to eat said taiyoukai, he really wanted out of here. His chewing through the ropes was slow, arduous work, unfortunately... |
(Good Lord, I don't know what to do with this. D: I shall do my best.)
I smell something. An ear pricked, a tail swished, and a few leaves fell from the branches of a very tall tree. A nose was turned into the gentle breeze, curious, sniffing. Blood....? The crown of the tree shook as Ayame made her way down the branches. She had been sniffing around a cave earlier, wondering what in the world could be making such a horrid stink, when an angry mother bear attacked her and chased her up the tree. The kitsune hanyou made her way down, pausing at the bottommost of the branches to check for the bear. As she prepared to jump to the ground, she lost her footing and toppled off the branch, landing squarely on her tail. "Owwww...." Stinging. Blood trickled from minor scrapes on her elbows and forearms. "Nyeh, it's not that bad," she said to no one as she examined the tree's handiwork. She lifted her nose to the wind again, ignoring the brighter, more sour smell of her own blood and focusing on the coppery, slightly darker scent coming from about half a mile to the west. Blood, yes, that's what it was. Spilled in great quantities. Mixed in with the smells of anger, fear, adrenaline, and blind rage. She knew those smells well, yes she did. Could smell them in an instant. A demon's been hunted. And caught, smells like, she reasoned. May still be alive, but just barely. A stronger breeze rolled through, and the fox breathed deeper. Definitely the work of a taijiya, she reasoned. She wavered back and forth. Should she head towards the smell of the injured, hopefully be able to rescue the fallen and offer her healing abilities, or flee in the other direction, least the taijiya pick up her scent too? Deciding to take the utmost care, she began to creep through the brush. She cursed as she tripped over a tree root, and stifled a yelp as she creeped face-first into a thorn bush. She gradually went to crawling on all fours and eventually on her stomach when the sound of gnawing on ropes and soft, muttered curses reached her ears. She stopped just short of the edge of the foliage, peering beyond from the bottom of a bush. The scent of blood, anger, frustration, hunger flooded her nostrils, and her ears twitched in anticipation. A kitsune...? (Eh, I might have gotten a bit carried away. Sorry for the length. ) |
Jade eventually couldn't even muster up the strength to continue biting at the ropes, and simply lay there, half-awake and losing more and more blood. Goddamn that taijiya...she'd probably just sealed his fate.
He didn't even at all notice the fact that someone was nearing him. He felt so exhausted and pained and hungry, it was all he could focus on... |
Ayame watched the demon gnaw halfheartedly at the ropes binding him, chewing on her own claws, wondering what to do, wondering if this was a ruse to lure prey or if there was a genuine male kitsune bleeding to death in front of her. The smell of blood....It was everywhere. In her nose. In her mouth. On her clothes. In her hair. Screams. Fire. Children. Her mother. The elders' angry faces. Loneliness. Despair. The male fox ceasing his gnawing and his head rolling to the side, eyes half-lidded, slowly clouding over. Ayame bounded out of the bush, her foot catching on a root. She stumbled briefly, regained her balance, and began slashing at the ropes, taking care to not slash the already wounded male, hoping she hadn't wasted too much time. |
Jade stiffened momentarily, unsure of what this demon's purpose was, but he couldn't move anyway.
Well, if this is how it ends, then I suppose there's no hope. Simple as that... He glanced at the ropes, watching as they frayed all too easily, whereas his jaw was aching from the effort of trying to bite them apart. So much for that, he hadn't exactly done a great job. When he was freed from the log, he did not move. True, he wasn't bound, but he'd been laying on his chest, and so he wasn't exactly going anywhere. |
Ugh, so much blood...
When the last of the ropes fell away, Ayame hefted the log up over her head and hurled it with all her strength into the forest, grinning slightly as it made a satisfying crash several yards away. She kneeled down and rolled the male over into her arms, taking care to keep as much of his thrashed back off the ground as she possibly could. While she supported him with one arm, she rummaged around in her tail until she found one of her remedies : a thin wafer made with different reviving herbs and spices. She patted the male's cheek gently. "Hey, hey, wake up. Can you swallow? I need you to eat this for me." She waved the medicine under his nose. "Signal me somehow if you can't chew." |
Jade blinked slowly, trying to wake himself up. The smell of the wafer made it that much easier, and he shook his head lightly
"Uh...what?" he murmured, trying to make up from down. "What is that smell?" It wasn't awful so much as...well, there. Herbs had a very potent scent, and he was definitely getting a noseful of that right now. Still and all, it was much preferred to the smell of his own blood. And for now, he wasn't too worried about who this girl was anyway, and why she was helping him. That she was helping him was enough for him at this time. |
Ayame breathed deep, relieved that she wasn't too late after all. "It's medicine. I need you to eat it before I try to move you, so I can get you out of here and help you." She bit off a corner of the wafer and held it close to the male's mouth. "Try to chew this." |
"Ngh...alright..."
Jade tried damn hard not to nip at the fox girl's fingers as he snatched the wafer piece up and swallowed it whole. Fuck swallowing... |
"Hey, now, easy. We don't need you choking." Did...did he just try to bite off my fingers? "Once you finish this, I can move you somewhere safe, and then I can find something more substantial for you to eat." She offered another chunk of wafer. |
Jade ate that one with a little more coordination and less danger of snapping the girl's finger's off, though he still felt unwell.
"If...if you're poisoning me...I'll kill you," he mumbled, closing his eyes. |
Ayame chuckled lightly, thinking of how she had munched on the same wafers earlier when she was staked out in the tree.
"Honey, if I was poisoning you, half of the people in this region would be dead. I got this recipe from a wandering medicine man." She held the last bit of wafer out. "You won't be able to walk just yet, but I can carry you on my back for a ways until I can treat you. Do you know of any shelters nearby?" |
Jade didn't really see that the sarcasm was necessary. How did he know this girl wasn't tamed to do the bidding of humans? She certainly wasn't half the kitsune he was...literally.
She was a half-breed. But there wasn't much he could do about it now. For the moment, he would be forced to trust her, and honestly...he figured it wouldn't be so bad. If he absolutely had to fight her, he would transform. Besides, that wafer wasn't really doing anything negative. If anything, he was starting to wake up a little. Not that being more awake helped, the more aware he was, the more everything hurt. Nonetheless, he ate the last bit, then considered her question. "Mm...there's an abandoned hut...a ways into that forest," he murmured. "Watch for demons. If I attracted you, the gods only know what else I might have called forth unwittingly..." |
Ayame nodded as he finished off the last bit. She turned her head away and sniffed the air carefully. A badger about a hundred yards to the east, and a few other scents, but she couldn't identify any hazards or dangers. There was one last thing she had to do before moving him, though.
"Before we go I'm going to pat you down to make sure you're not still bleeding from these stab wounds." Hopefully this goes better than the last time I had to do this, she thought, recalling with a wince the last villager she had to check for bleeding. "I'm only telling you this so you don't freak out on me," she explained. "The last time I had to do this, it was on an unconscious woman. She had been violated and beaten quite badly, left for dead in the middle of the forest. For some absurd reason she regained consciousness the second I put my hands on her." She heaved a sigh. "Needless to say, she almost took my eye out before I could calm her down long enough to show her that I wasn't going to hurt her. Given the nature of her condition, I had to check her whole entire body, and I told her that, but when I went below her waistline she called me a pervert and started screaming." |
Jade winced. Pat him down? That sounded as if it might be more painful than leaving the wounds be.
"Why waste time?" he shot back. "I'm a taiyoukai, all I need is rest and food, and these wounds won't be any trouble." Maybe that was an exaggeration, but damn him if he didn't just want to be sheltered before... "Ahh!! Another demon!!" ...That. A young boy had spotted them, drawn by the sound of the log as Ayame had thrown it, and was now running to go report to the others that the fox had gotten free and was being helped by another demon. Jade didn't have time for this. "Goddamn, can't you smell anything downwind even if its right next to you, half-breed?" he asked sharply, pushing himself away from her and getting to his feet shakily. He began to glow as he shifted forms, becoming a relatively large fox that was still covered in wounds and blood all over. 4 large tails whipped around him, seemingly independent of their owner. <Follow me!> He knew that expending this much energy to flee was going to be some trouble, but despite it all, he wasn't in the business of harming villagepeople, especially not when there were children involved. Sure, he might play some dirty tricks, but even so... Turning on his heel, he began to run into the forest. If she followed him, good. If she didn't, to hell with her. |
STUPID! Just because there's HUMANS nearby doesn't mean there's no danger!
In the rush to help someone, she had forgotten that he was, after all, being chased by a taijiya, and that of course there would be other humans around. Now's not the time to beat yourself up, she reasoned. Maybe I can buy him enough time to escape. I'll catch up to him later. Quickly, she withdrew a pouch from her tail, tying the strings around her wrist. Then, she focused all her energy on her ears and tail. There was a series of soft pops as they disappeared. She took off in the direction that the boy had run, making sure she ran into as many trees and thorn bushes as she possibly could, banging and blooding herself up as much as possible. Soon she caught up to the boy, surrounded by villagers who were preparing to chase the youkai. Perfect. "Help!" she shouted, running headlong into the crowd, waving her arms as much as possible to release the powder in the pouch. "A fox demon! He attacked me and ran that way!" She pointed in the direction opposite of where the kitsune had run, careful not to inhale too much of the powdered hallucinogenic mushrooms that she had scattered. |
The villagers succumbed easily enough, and fortunately the taijiya was not in their midst, otherwise there might have been more trouble.
Jade was very lucky, for he didn't have the energy at all to do anything severe. In fact, by the time he reached the hut in the woods, he had completely exhausted himself, and many wounds were bleeding again. Blood even seeped past his panting jaws as he collapsed before the small house. |
Ayame was lucky the villagers fell as easily as they did. As soon as the last man fell, her ears popped back into existence. Ahhh, not again, she sighed. It's probably going to be another hour before my tail decides to come back. Turning her nose into the wind, she bounded in the direction of the smell of blood. Where did you get to...? She had just barely finished the thought right when she tripped over a nasty tree root. Sprawling forward, she stumbled over a particularly bloody paw. "Oh my...." The kitsune was lying unconscious in front of the hut he had mentioned earlier. He was covered in blood. She knew she had to move him inside. But, gods, he was a thing of beauty. She couldn't stop staring, from his blood-covered nose to the four giant tails resting on the ground. She slowly approached, holding her breath. She knelt down carefully next to his head and inched a hand forward to touch his ears. |
Jade's breaths were shallow, but deep and loud, his chest rising and falling slowly as he lay there, unmoving. However, the tips of his ears flinched just the barest bit as the fox girl's fingers drew close. As if he could sense her, or feel that she was there and about to touch his ears.
While that wasn't the case, it was a well-disguised involuntary action, if not one she could identify with. |
Ayame pulled her hand back slightly, almost losing her nerve, but then she placed her fingers ever so gently on the demon's blood-soaked head, smoothing the fur over his forehead, moving to the back of his head and down his neck.
She gave herself a mental slap in the face. Excuse me. What do you think you're doing. Quit fondling him and move him into the house, girl! |
A low rumble rose from Jade's throat, unnaturally bubbly, but still quite clearly something akin to a purr. One eye slipped open, revealing emerald green.
<You could...keep on doing...doing that,> he murmured, obviously being sarcastic. <Nice way to...die, I...guess...> |
Ayame jumped.
"Oh gosh, I'm sorry. Let's move you into the hut, try to stop this bleeding." She gave him another gentle rub on the head, then bent to lift the fox. "Erm..." You could carry him over your shoulders. Or you could just lift him. Or....Gods, how am I going to do this? "Well, first let's do this...." She reached around for her tail, having a moment of panic when it wasn't there. Ugh, you need to work on your transformation! she chided herself. No help for it. She could get more clothes later. She used her claws to rip the legs of her shorts, tearing away all but what kept her the most basically modest. Using the cloth from the left side, she began to apply pressure to the wounds that were bleeding the most, using strips from the right side to tie the cloth in place. "Ugh, tail, where are you?" she muttered. "I need my other supplies." |
Jade growled, none too quietly at that.
<That hurts, woman,> he warned. <Watch it.> Whether her work was to his benefit or not, he wasnt' tolerant to extra pain right now. Though he did get a bit of a laugh as he realized that this girl had not properly reversed her transformation. |
