Charm blushed for the second time that day. Everyone seemed to think she was cute in this form. She wasn't used to this at all.
After coming out of her stupor and sitting back down, tail curled around her feet, Charm saw that everyone was trying to brainstorm up a way to get off the island. She decided to brainstorm with them. 'I could make a small boat out of my demon magic,' her head tilted in wonder before a grimace appeared on her face, 'But it would only be able to hold the magical beings here, the humans would pose to much weight due to my small amount of magic at the moment. Even if I could create a boat that would hold everyone with my magic, I wouldn't be able to keep it up long.' She sat, deeply in thought, for some time before her eyes widened and her small furry mouth curled into a smile. "I got it!" Charm exclaimed loudly, catching everyone's attention, "Now I think this might work, but I don't know how Vorian's power works. What I'm thinking is that I could copy the ships figure with my demon magic and Vorian could wrap his vines around it until we had an actual ship. Think that'll work?" |
Stephanie smacked her fist against her other palm. "That sounds perfect!" She cried excitedly. She rounded on Vorian; "You can make your vine things do that, right??"

Yukina smiled."tahts would work .. alo feel free to use the piles of wood over by my hut"

Vorian looked at the ever growing sunlight.
"I can probably do one better, but I'll have to hurry, Direct sunlight drains my powers." Vorian unsheathed his sword and began slicing trees. Every time a tree would fall two more would take its place. After a couple of minutes a substantial pile of perfectly sliced lumber sat at vorian's feet. Vorian looked to charm, "Now just use your magic to form these planks into a ship and I can seal the cracks, it's still living wood, so I can make it grow for the next couple of minutes, this will even make the ship water tight." |
"Alright," Charm put her game face on, "I think I have just enough power left to do this, though I won't be able to transform into my human form for quite some time after this."
With that explained, Charm activated her demon magic and molded it around the lumber, before straining herself to lift it into the air. Using her demon magic to make an outline of the ship as well, she made the lumber stick together. After a minute or two of tweaking, Charm retracted her magic to reveal a basic wood ship with some cracks. "Ok, do your thing Vorian," she strained out before her little cat body collapsed to the ground. She was still awake, but she had used so much magic that she was so weak now that she couldn't move. The paralysis wouldn't last too long, and would ease away more quickly if someone would get her food, but she couldn't say anything else, so she would just wait patiently. |
Vorian waved his arm and the wood seemed to flow together, becoming a seamless vessel. Vorian tweaked it here and there so it would look more like a real ship, and then finished before he had exhausted his power. Now, sitting a few feet in the water, was a seaworthy vessel just large enough for all of them, complete with rudder and a mast. Vorian sighed, wiping his forehead.
"Now, I cant do anything about a sail. This is definitely not the right climate for cotton." Vorian gestured one last time, at the ground near charm, before the sunlight fell on him, making his skin look eerily opaque and draining his powers. In the shade of a tree, near charm's nose, a small plant sprang up. It was a small, dark green stalk with ribbed sides. twirling creepers adorned with small round leaves spread out a few feet from it's base. The stalk grew taller, becoming thinner until it resembled a small tree, then it's tip sprouted a light green bud. The bud grew larger and larger, until it was the size of a baseball, then it bloomed into a large blue flower. The flower's petals waved in the gentle breeze for a few moments before falling off and landing gently on the sand. Where the flower had been a new bud began to grow, and grow, until it grew so large that the stalk could no longer hold it upright. The stalk slowly bent toward charm, until the bud was hanging toward the ground rather than pointing at the sky. The green bud began to take on a pinker color as it grew and then the pink skin became fairly opaque allowing a view of the blue seeds within. Vorian addressed charm. "It's a hybrid fruit. It should not only be delicious, but also very nutritious and refreshing, It should restore your energy as well. The outer skin texture should resemble a peach, with it's inner portion resembling more of a mango or a guava. The inner seeds are like pomegranate seeds but are completely filled with juice so they can be eaten whole. I can't describe what it will taste like to you, as I have only partaken once, and every fruit is different. It is a hybrid of many different fruits; banana, guava, mango, peach, starfruit, papaya, coconut, passion fruit, pineapple, pomegranate, watermelon, and quite a few magical fruits that have no name, thus the blue seeds." |
Yukina smiled."very nice..."

Within a second after Vorian's explanation, Charm had gobbled down the fruit.
"That," she paused with her eyes wide while licking her lips, "Was the best fruit I have ever had! Thanks Vorian!" Feeling so refreshed that her powers might even be restored, Charm tried to transform into a human with great success. "Wow, I think it even refreshed my power!" she exclaimed while smirking at her human hands as she flexed and bent her fingers, "Thank goodness for opposable(sp?) thumbs." |
Vorian smiled.
"I'm glad it was to your liking, I can only make one a day." Vorian fell to one knee, looking slightly nausceous. "Alright, how about we set sail. Next stop, anywhere." |
Pretend Steph was watching all this with a bemused expression :P)
Stephanie snapped out of her daze at once. "Right!" She began importantly, "First we'll need some kind of sails or oars, then we're out of here!"Stephanie abruptly turned on her heel and crashed through the undergrowth of the forest; she knew she'd look like an absolute idiot, but there was something she needed to find before they could set sail. Quite a few things, actually... |
Charm heard what Steph said, and immediately saw her point. They needed sails so that the ship would move, but how could they make those? She recalled all of her magical abilities, trying to find something that would work.
Sadly, nothing came to her mind, since her demon magic could only be solid in form, and would not be able to catch the wind. She sighed before turning to the others. "Well, unless someone can magically make us a sail, I think we have a problem here." |
Stephanie crashed around for a shorter time that she'd expected. She found all the items she need in next-to-no-time: Ten fairly large banana leaves, a brown, hairy coconut, something that looked like a long, sharp fish bone and two long, thick branches. Stephanie set to work on making the sails: She stripped the 'hairs' from the coconut and strung it through the bone, then stitched the banana leaves together as best she could.
Then, Stephanie set about making the oars. The two branches somehow managed to get a flat tip, but they were too heavy for Stepania to carry by herself. She sprinted back to the others. "Right, I've made a sail and oars, but someone will need to carry them," Stephanie said quickly. |
Vorian sat down in the shade.
"Well seeing as I can barely stand..." |

Yukina jumped up and looked at Vorian."you rest i'll do it, since i couldnt really do much",she said taking the ors and headded for the boat.

"Awesome, great job Steph!" Charm exclaimed when she examined Steph's craftmenship, "We can finally go somewhere now!"

Stephanie tried not to look too pleased at everyone's praise; she stepped over to Vorian and held out a hand. "You might as well get on the boat now," she said.
(By the way, Twilight, unless your character can fly really long distances without much food, you'll need her to jump on with us... unless she's disappeared forever... *gives you deathstare until you give in*) |
vorian took the offered hand with a smile.
"Wouldn't want you guys to leave without me." Vorian looked over to Akemi. "Will you be joining us?" |
After a swift smile to Vorian, Stephanie glanced back at Akemi hopefully. She really, really, really hoped he'd be coming.
