"I'm sure that's real good for your leg." Matthew said rolling his eyes, hoping his real amount of concern wasn't showing. "You should be more careful." He said, more seriously then before. "I don't like seeing you hurt." Was that okay for friends to see to one another? He wondered then realized it didn't matter, he was concerned about her leg.

Allie looked over at him smiling softly. "yea, I will be better don't worry" she teased him. "I will be okay.. " She was starting to like this guy more and more.

Matthew smiled, picking up his chopsticks to eat another tuna roll. "So, other then your leg, how has your day been going?" He asked before taking a sip of his water.

Allie smiled at him "I got a solo in my music class for the Christmas concert.." she said softly. "and I aced a pop quiz earlier" she said with a smile. "what about you?"

"Congratulations on your solo." Matthew said with a smile. Allie was truly adorable when she smiled, he thought. "My day has been full of review, completely pointless considering my memory is spectacular." He said, coating one of the sushi rolls with wasabi.

Allie looked at him blushing "thank you" she said with a small smile. "aww that sucks.." she said with a small laugh. "I am sure tomorrow will be better.." she said with a small smile. Looking over at his sushi "what does that taste like? I don't think I ever liked sushi" she said with a smile.

"Would you like to taste?" Matthew asked, holding up his chopsticks with a tuna roll in them. "Tuna rolls are my favourite." He said as he held out the chopsticks for Allie to eat the tuna roll.

Allie looked over at him, into his eyes, then sighed taking the tuna roll and taking a small bite. Closing her eyes a bit at the weird flavor. Looking back at him, opening her eyes "It isn't as bad as I thought.." she said softly quickly taking a sip of her juice.

"I love sushi. My parents don't like to cook when they're home so I ususally make something. They both love sushi so I've learned to make it homemade." Matthew said. "Mine's better then the school's." He added with a wink.

Allie looked over at him "thats cool, this is my first time trying it.. thanks" she said with a smile. "oh I am sure yours are much better" she said with a grin.

"I happen to be an amazing cook." Matthew said with a smile. "One of my many talents." He said with a wink. "But instead of boasting, I'd rather hear what your talents are Allie." He said, eating the tuna roll Allie had bitten.

Allie looked over at him, blushing brightly at his wink. She may be sweet on the outside, but on the inside, she was a tiger. Smiling at him she looked into his eyes "Well according to Mr Jim.. I can sing really well... I can kick your butt at any video game and I love to dance.." she said with a grin. She may not be as pretty as barbie, but she would have more fun with him for sure. Being able to be relaxed and not so tense all the time.

"Well I think you're going to have to prove how well you dance." Matthew said with a smile. "After your leg heals of course. You never did make it to Pulse." He said with a grin. Matthew wrapped up his lunch just as the bell rang. "I should get to class. I have a break after this class then the day is over." He said, sighing with relief. "I probably won't see you again until tomorrow and if I don't then have a good rest of the day." He said, giving Allie's hand a light squeeze before leaving.

Allie looked at him smiling sweetly "oh I can dance alright, I'll show all those girls up at pulse.." she said with a grin. "alright.." she said watching him leave. She packed up her things, hobbling over to the trash can and then going back for her crutches. She took the elevator to her next class, handing them the note.

Matthew sat, unfocused as his teachers reviewed what they had been learning. Mid terms were in a month and all the students were busy trying to cram the schoolwork they'd been slacking off on all year.

"Matthew would you like to tell me what the author's theme to Lord of the Flies was?" The teacher asked, an attempt to catch him off guard.

"Man is naturally evil." He said lazily, reverting his gaze to the window. He was right, as always. Big suprise. It was as if the teacher's were never going to catch on.

Allie was in class again, sighing at how bored she was. She began to doodle in her notebook. She was so good at this and it was really boring during reviews. She knew what Matthew meant now.

Matthew sighed in relief as he heard the bell ring and quickly ran across the courtyard to the library. Inside, he nodded to the librarian and made his way to his favourite corner of the library.

His corner was on the top floor, rarely visited by other students. The corner had a large window that overlooked the grounds and held a small nook on the side of it that he curled up in immediately. Pulling a book off the stack he had resting beside the nook, Matthew sat and began to read away his last period.

Allie sighed happily as the class was over. She made her way to her last and final class which passed by quickly. She was let out early and made her way to the library. It was her first time here so she wondered around. Making her way up to the top floor finding someone buried in a book. She put her arm on the shelf and leaned onto it. "hey stranger.." she said with a small smile.

Matthew jumped slightly at Allie's voice. "Oh, hi." He said, marking his place in his book and placing it back on the shelf. "Looks like you found my hiding spot." He said with a grin. "How was the rest of your day?" Matthew asked, reaching for his bag and putting it over his shoulder.

Allie smiled softly. "I didn't mean to scare you... its really nice back here..very quiet" Helping him up "your not leaving already are you?" She didn't want him to leave because of her.

"I was just going to head home. That was the final bell right?" Matthew asked. "Unless you'd like to stay?" He asked, smiling as he realized that her staying was a far better alternative to leaving.

Allie looked over at him smiling. "yes the bell just rang..." Looking into his eyes she nodded "I would love to stay and hang out" that would be much better then going home.

Matthew put his bag back on the library floor and sat on the nook again, resting his back on the window. "So what do think of the new school thus far?" Matthew asked. "You know, besides the breaking your leg in four places." He added. "You can sit." Matthew said, noticing she was standing and patting the cushion next to him.

Allie put her bag next to his watching him get comfortable. "it is really cool, the teachers are alright.. better then my old school... the kids are much more... agressive?" she said with a grin. "breaking my leg was a bonus.. I think the coaches really liked my pull up ability.. " she giggled a little bit, sitting down next to him carefully.

"Yeah, the students here can be intense. With their designer labels and all. Not that I can talk." Matthew said, showing the label on his shirt. "We're far more elite and I think it gets to alot of student's heads." He said truthfully. "Of course the coursework is much harder then my previous private school, which isn't a bad thing. My photographic memory makes everything a bit easier but its still nice to have a challenge." He said. "Tell me about your old school." Matthew said after a few moments of silence.
