Raphael stood looking at himself. He fixed his shirt smoothing it out and fixing his over jacket. On this particular night he was going out to a costume party. He had simply pulled out some of his old clothes and they worked perfectly. Old Victorian age clothes. He brushed off the top of his top hat. He sat it on his head and gently pressed his mask to his face hiding his pale handsome face beneath that of a golden one.

Kimi was getting ready for a party that her friend invited her to.She had her dress already planned out.She would be wearing a cream white dress that was well fitted from her bust to her waist with rhinestones embellished on the top and was flowy from the waist down and to acompany it was a white mask with gold around the sides of the mask and a purple feather and under the feather had a purple and white ribbons dangling from it."alright...i think im ready"she said checking her self out one last time before exiting the room and started heading towards the door where one of her friends were in the car already waiting for her to come and wisk her away to the party

Raphael walked down stairs and hopped into the back of a buddies car. He sighed and leaned against the door. he didn't bother with a seatbelt considering it was pointless he'd be fine if thrown from the car. The house in which the costume party was taking place was only a couple miles anyway. He traced the outside of his masks edge while thinking of old masquerade balls that he used to go to. Once there however he smiled simply and got out of the car. He walked up to the door and waited outside for a while longer to clear his head so he could have fun.

Kimi sighed getting into the packed car watching her friends talk about last weeks party and how awsome it was.Kimi just looked out the window wondering if the party would be the same at the ones a hundered years ago.Then they finally made it to the place.The place was nice i was a good place to have a party.She then slowly got out of the car and waited for a few of her friends to go a head of her before entering the house.

Raphael watched a bunch of girls go into the house and simply took a second to pray. He often did this before going into a human packed places. He walked in and looked around. Everything was as normal parties are except people were dressed differently. "Dear gods why couldn't we keep the old stuff?" he asked looking around he fixed his top at and his jacket before attempting to go any further.

Kimi finally was inside and saw a bunch of humans smiling and talking amongst each other.She headed towards the punch table and got herself a drink then smiled and headed towards one of her friends that she met at another party."ohh did you see that guy over their.."the girl said pointing to a guy with a top hat "isnt he cute"the girl blushed.Kimi then turned to see the guy and giggled "yea he is..."she blushed turning her head so that the guy wouldnt see her.She must say he was quite dashing totally the guy she would go out with but something about him was odd about him but she couldnt put her finger on it.

Raphael smiled at a couple young ladies walking by. Looking around he walked to the DJ and had a instramental remix put on. Looking around he spotted a young lady he had taught to dance a few parties back. Once again asking her hand in a dance he started in on an old dance that still worked today expecially at parties like this. "What do you do? Every girl here is drooling over you." She pointed out to him. "Normally dear normally." he said with a grin. "How's your boyfriend?" He asked politely. "Fine just kind of grumpy about the broken foot thing." She said with a grin. "Grace comes with time I assure you." He added.

Kimi sighed noticing that he was dancing with a girl "uhh...i bet thats his girl friend"Kimi said looking at the two dance."no she already has a boyfriend...well thats what i heard and that he was one of her friends from a couple parties ago"she said looking at Kimi "really which party was that?"she asked then noticed a couple guys checking the two of them out."hmm..i think it was the one over their at cindy's house but you didnt come because of some family problems"she reminded Kimi then winked at the guys checking them out."ohh yea..."Kimi then thought about that day she wanted to go to that party but that was her feeding night.

The dance was a short one and although about six bones must have cracked in Raphael's foot under the weight of the highheel he kept his face peaceful. After the music stopped he gave a bow and walked off like nothing happened. Walking up he passed someone who had caused themselves minor cut on a table or something. He clinched his fists but kept calm pointing out the blood to him before continuing. It just so happened the two guys that were checking out Kimi and her friend were friends of his. "What are you two weirdos looking at?" he asked looking over. He held out his hand and behind their backs and out of sight of the humans he got himself a cup of punch with out ever going over there. "Dude look at those two." One said pointing over. "Hmm.." Looking them over Raphael smiled. "I call the dark haired one." His other friend said. "Not tonight my good man. Not tonight." He said handing them the glass of punch and walking over. "Hello ladies, how has your evening been so far?" He asked.

Kimi giggled then saw the guy that was dancing with the girl earlier walking towards them "ohh my gosh Kimi look it him"the girl blushed deeply "of course it is"Kimi chuckled at her friends reaction looking like she could pass out any second.Kimi then turned her head to see him standing right infront of them "ohh hello its going pretty well.."Kimi smiled waiting for her friend to jump into the conversation but was speachless and not sure of what to say "how about you"she smiled softly at him as she took a sip of her drink waiting for his reply.

Raphael smiled softly. "That's very good indeed. You both look ravishingly beautiful in your costumes." He said simply before taking off his mask. "But I fear masks don't do well when your in such a crowded place. They start sticking." He said quiet simply as he took out a hankercheif and whipped off his face lightly. The sweat wasn't from the apparent heat but him fighting to control his urges to feed from the humans here. He smiled simply and put his mask back on.

"ohh why thank you"she smiled then saw him take off his mask.She blushed a light pink and nodded "yes i do know how you feel..."then her friend whispered into her ear "i got to go to the ladies room so ill talk to you later"she smiled and waved goodbye to both of them just before leaving.Kimi smiled then nodded then turned back to Raphael "well would you like to a company me outside its alot more cooler their"she smiled softly and bit her lip noticeing the smell of blood.

'Damn I should of fed before coming to another one of these. God my stomach hurts from holding back.' Raphael thought to himself. He put another smile on and nodded. "I'd love too." he stated quietly. He offered his arm out of old time habit and whether she took it or not lead them outside once outside he took in a deep breath and grabbed a railing near him squeezing it. "Its a beautiful night." he said trying to keep it casual. He held back a hungry growl and moved his hand having a small bunch of flowers come to him when he was almost sure the girl with him wasn't looking. "I'm Raphael van Leedon." He said finally giving his name. "What's your name?" he asked. 'normally I wouldn't ask the name of my food by that would just be rude at the moment since I'd have to pry her away from the house as well. Wait...hold on. Ahh sh-- She's not human...damn.' he thought to himself with a wince as the wind ruffled her hair.

Kimi smiled and nodded holding his hand as they exited the house."yes its very beautiful.."she smiled then wrinkled her nose trying to shake off the sent of the blood from earlier then looked up at Raphael "My name's Kimi"she smiled softly then felt her teeth starting to ach so she let out a fake yawn drawing out her fangs for a split second then withdrew them back into her mouth."umm...are you hungry..."she said feeling her stomach growl now craving for a human.

"Yes, very." Raphael said digging his nails into the rail. "I'm starved acctually. Know any good place to eat?" He asked wincing slightly as he forced back any noticable cravings and smoothed out his jacket with a slight smile as he turned back to her. "I know a good place for steak or are you a veggitarian?" he asked.

"ohh i love steak"she smiled then nodded making her mouth all watery "alright lets go then..umm..did you bring your car here.."she asked curiously "beacuse i came hear with somefriend unless its not too far from here"she said softly

"Real fast before I forget to ask. What are you?" He asked if she was human she'd state the obvious costume if she was a vampire she'd know how to answer the question. He smiled slight with a curious look in his face. If she was a vampire he had an easy way to leave quickly.

Kimi blinked then giggled "im a vampire are you one too"she asked curiously "so could we go..my stomachs killing me"she said holding her stomach tightly

"Fair enough." Raphael said moving behind her and lifting her slightly so her feet now rested on his. Concentrating hard enough they were cairred through the air quickly and before too much more then a few minutes had passed she was sat at the front door of a nice place to eat. He was already holding the door. "Well come on now. Steak will have to work because its to hard to get a human on a saterday."

Kimi closed her eyes tightly holding on to the sleeves of his arms then opened her eyes and saw that they were finally there "yes food"she said happily jumping out of the seat "ohh i hope so"she said entering the resturant feeling a little aquard wearing such a big gown at the resturant she could probably bounce people off of her.

Raphael followed her in and took off his mask nodding towards the owner of the place. "don't worry about your dress its a black tie kind of place. Your atire is perfect. Its the only place that serves a decent stake." He added walking back to his usual table. He dinned here often. "So anyway how old are you?"

Kimi blushed and nodded "ohh okay then"she sighed in relief taking off her mask and sat down infront of him "well im about 200 years old"she smiled softly "what about you? you seem pretty young but looks can be decisiving"she chuckled

Raphael sighed and leaned back thinking. "Well lets put it this way I'm not allowed to date anyone under a hundred years old vampire or other wise immortal because I'm so old." He said with a serious face. "I'm over four hundred." He added simply with a sigh. "I'm so oooollld." He looked at himself. "And yet I look amazing." he joked lightly.

Kimi laughed "well your not that old....now my brother on the other hand is old he's about 600 and my parents are way older than that"she smiled and blushed a bit and moved a piece of her hair behind her ear and saw a waiter came and aslked them what would they have.Kimi then looked up at the waiter and smiled "i would like a rare steak please and water"she smiled softly

Raphael looked at the waiter who didn't seem to understand Kimi. "Uh..." He sighed and quickly repeated what she said in old Romanian. The waiter nodded to both orders and walked off. "Thank you." He said rubbing his eyes. "Well that isn't to bad my grandfather raised me he was 800 when I was only ninety." He stated quiet truthfully.
