Alex broke from her daze and turned around to see a man. He was offering his hand, to dance with her. She longed for some company and would have gladly accepted his offer but was still on edge. She turned her body around to face him with her hand at her sides. "I don't know..." She gazed at him for a moment and then stated, "When one doesn't have another to dance with I guess." She didn't feel like being cautious at the moment, she wanted so badly to trust him. She took a step closer and took his hand.

Alexia looked up her small wings were barely visible from her shirt and her childish face was confused about why he was here. "Who are you?" She asked as she stood up and looked him from top to bottom with a curious look on her face now.

Acheron smiled and bowed before introducing himself. "my name is Acheron, and you would be?"
He was curious as to why she was here, and how she'd gotten this fare with out anybody sensing her. maybe because there all preoccupied with Vexous. he thought.
Never the less he was being polite after all that was part of his nature

Alexia smiled at the politeness. "My name is Alexia." She said with a small curtsy in reply to the mans bow. She looked around the place with more curiousity and than back at the man. "Why are you here?"

"in a matter of words you could say i live here, as do many other creatures" He smiled at her curtsy.
"it's dangerous around these parts, i advice you keep your wits about you."
walking farther out onto the balcony he slightly lend himself against the railing as he looked down into the forest. "strange things have been happening and i have a feeling that it's only going to get worse." sighing he looked over towards the village. He winced as he realized it was a flame. "Such a fool, to think i could save her"

Alexia looked confused at his comments and watched the fire. "It's pretty isn't it? Pretty and dangerous." She tried to think of her past but couldn't think of anything, she only knew what her mother looked like, even her father was a blur when she tried to remember him.

"if it wasn't burning down homes and destroying peoples lives then yeah it'd be pretty, but since i know who started it, it disgusts me". Rain began to fall helping to put out the flames.
"ah Darious, so you have caught up with her." the rain had a hint of magic on it, anyone who wasn't quite human could tell it wasn't a natural rain.
"So Lady Alexia what brings you to this small village." his attempt to change the subject was poor, but he felt some what rude not talking to her directly.

"Then this one well dance with you that he well." Kaedo said as he looked into her eyes as he came up from his bow and grasped the hand that she had placed in his. He then stepped closer and began to dance.

"Sorry but this one is not a vary good dancer, though this one does like to dance." he commented with a smile as he kept glancing to his feet making sure not to step on hers. "Since when?" He then answered himself sharply. "Since today and because this one wants to, before you ask." He then retorted in the calm voice that he had before.

"Surely now she most think us to be crazy, thanks to you." Kaedo then thought quietly to himself as he looked to the girl to see her response. "Don't mind him, I try not to. He no know what he's talking about anyway." He said to the girl with a meek smile on his face, in hopes that she would not take off running.

"So this one did not ask what you name is, that he didn't." He then added trying to change the subject from his split personality to something more comfortable.

(the voice that is in bold is his other voice/personality that comes threw out loud vary often and the italic voice is him thinking in his head. I just thought I'd make that clear in case there was any confusion on that)

Alex tried to follow his lead as they began to dance. She smiled at his comment and stated, "I'm not very good at it either, my grandfather taught me what he could before he passed away."

Alex's eyes grew wide when the other voice chimed into the conversation. But she wasn't scared, she found it a little amusing actually. She let out a giggle when the man and the voice finished quarreling. "I don't mind." Alex focused on their dancing for a moment before replying. "My name is Alexandria, but call me Alex." She smiled noticing his attempt to change the subject.

Vincent followed shortly after Vexous had disappeared from their sight. He knew she hadn't gone far sensing she was still close waiting for him. He dropped with the grace of a feline predator near her. Her comment on her dress made him laugh. "Honestly I don't mind the view lady." He winked at her after he eyed her black corset. "Anything of use in the cathedral near here that you could wear?" He paused to rub the bottom of his chin before continuing, "Have a way back into that castle of yours? I'm sure with the human and the spirit busy you could easily slip in there. Maybe take care of this Acheron you referred to earlier as well."

As the rain started to come down, he looked skywards. "They have their own tricks then." He said as he held out a hand to catch a few droplets.


The smoke was thick and caused her to choke on it. "I need to get out of here quick!!" Looking around as best as she could, her eyes filling with tears due to the smoke in the house. She used her hearing to locate where the boy was, his whimpering led her to another room which appeared to be a children's room. "Come on." Her body let out a fit of harsh coughs as she beckoned to the boy. "I'm here to help." Her arms stretched before her for the child he finally got up and bolted into them, almost causing her to fall over. "Well you're being well fed." She said under her breath as she struggled to stand up.

A part of the ceiling collapsed in front of her as she began to move back the way which she came. Trying not to breathe as hard as normal to prevent taking in as much smoke, she was incredibly thankful when it started to down pour. "Thank you Darious." She whispered, her eyes straining as she made it to the door and back out into the night.

Almost collapsing a few feet away from the house with the child, she could see Darious not too far away and managed a weak smile in his direction. The child in her arms had quieted to a soft whimpering. She suspected nothing until she felt a razor sharp pain in her neck followed by a burning sensation. The child's grip grew tighter suddenly as she felt him begin to lap at the wound he created on her neck. It was so sudden she didn't even have a chance to cry out, just a look of surprise was apparent on her face.

"O' well then Alexandria, this one thinks that your grandfather has taught you well. Or at least better then what this one is doing now." Kaedo with a reluctant smile on his face. "Ah, so you laugh? May this one ask what be so funny?" Kaedo asked with a raised eyebrow.

"You dolt, she is laughing at you!" Kaedo's other voice mumbled loudly. "Shhhh!!! Don't say such things! And stop calling this one names please?" Kaedo then whispered harshly at his other self. Then giving Alex a smile again. "Umm this ones name is... Hummm this one does not remember for sure what his name is. How does Kaedo sound to you?" Kaedo said with a smile to Alex.

"Sounds stupid if you ask me? Do you even know what it means?" The other voice remarked sarcastically. "O' quite you. This once was talking to the young lady and not you so hush yourself and let her answer us, okay." Kaedo argued back then looked to Alex again for a response.

Alex blushed at the compliment. "Thank you." She smiled back at him. "I just found it amusing, I didn't mean any offense by it..." She looked away from him. Startled by the voice, she looked up at him, worried he had taken her laugh the wrong way.

She looked concerned and tilted her head slightly to the right. "It sounds like you guys don't get along very well...And Kaedo sounds great to me." She smiled at him.

"Told you so." the other voice said after Alex said that she found it amusing. "So what if she thought it was funny. This one would find it funny too, had he not have to live with you all of the time." Kaedo then added and looked back to Alex and half jumped not expecting to see her big eyes staring back at him. He then started to blush slightly and nearly forgot about her talking to him.

"O' no. We do not get along vary well that we don't." Kaedo said with a kind smile as he started to dance faster with out seeming to realize it. "Thats for sure." His other voice grunted. "And you seriously liked that name." He added and rolled his eyes. "So what if you do not like the name this once chose for their self; it was not your deciding. Now this is the last time that this one well ask you nicely to leave us alone." Kaedo said in a low threatening voice. Then both voice were silent for a moment and Kaedo looked about the place as though he was following something invisible moving about until it was gone.

His gaze then turned back Alex. "This one thinks he is gone now." He said reassuringly with a big smile on his face. "And thank you for liking this ones selection of name. It makes him vary happy." He added still dancing about fastly.



(btw Kaedo is only 5ft 2. He pretty short. Idk how tall Alex is but thought you'd like to know incase she's taller then him)

Alexia looked up at Acheron and gave him another lost look. "I don't really know I was just walking around trying to find my home and I came across this place so I got curious." She looked around the inside of the house she had come to and kept looking around the strange place. She started to walk back inside due to the rain, she didn't like that it wasn't normal.

((Actually Alex is only 5' so she's shorter! lol))

Alex quickly turned her gaze away from Kaedo when he looked back at her and jumped. But she kept dancing trying to keep up with his quickening pace. "It seems that you are speeding up..." As she was commenting on his pace she missed a step and stumbled a bit. When she regained her composure and got back on step with the rhythm they had going she noticed that he was watching something, as if following it. She looked over trying to follow his gaze but didn't see anything. What's he looking at? Was that voice some sort of spirt?

Alex glanced down at their feet for a moment trying slow down their pace and hummed a tune to herself. She looked back at Kaedo when he started to talk to her again. "There's no need for you to thank me." She smiled and leveled her gaze to where she was looking straight ahead. Her curiosity getting the better of her, she asked, "But, what do you mean you selected your name?"

((lol just barely. A lot of people get mad at me for making guy characters that are shorter then their girl characters. But I think 5 ft ish is about average aint it?))

Kaedo being to busy paying attention to his imaginary floating image had not realized Alex tripping and in so kept up his speed until she commented on it. "O' this one is sorry he did not mean to be so fast. Its just at times this one gets vary distracted and losses track of what he is doing that he does." He said and blushed as he started to gradually slow down.

It didn't take long before he was once again looking off in another direction absent mindfully. Then when he heard Alex's humming his attention snapped backed to her. "O' this one supposes not then." Kaedo said looking a bit perplexed when he realized her straight ahead stare.

When Alex had asked her question about his name Kaedo stopped dancing with out any warning and let go of Alex's hands."Well this one means that he does not remember the name that he was given at birth so he decided to pick one for himself." Kaedo said his skin getting a little pale as though he was ill. "This one thinks he shall sit down for awhile if that is okay with you. He thinks he is sick now from your fast dancing." He said jokingly as he placed a hand to his fore head to wipe away some sweat.

[[Hey guys, sorry for my absence, I had a bunch of stuff to take care of since its homecoming week next week at my school. I'll just assume that Val made it out herself]]
Val lay on the floor, her breathing labored. She had heard the roof collapse seconds after she had jumped, ramming her good shoulder into the door and bruising it severely. She rested her cheek on the cool floor, tempted to fall asleep right there and then. She had a few burns here and there, but otherwise she figured she was ok.
But maybe, just maybe, you should tell someone you accidentally blew their kitchen up? That would be a good thing. she sighed, keeping her eyes closed. Ah, just a few more minutes... You'll be ok for a few more minutes.

((Actually, I think the average for guys is between 5'5" and 6'...if that's what you were referring to))

Alex dropped her hands to her side as Kaedo stepped away from her. She had a confused expression on her face but she was concerned. [I"Did I say something wrong?[/I] She took a step in his direction. "Yeah, I don't mind if you sit down. But...are you going to be alright? I didn't mean to bring up a bad topic..." She kept her distance, to give him his space.

((Yeah thats what I meant.))

"O' yes this one well be quite alright. And it was not a bad topic at all. Well at least this one does not think it is. He would not know for sure. This one remembers little of his time before he was a prisoner below this place." Kaedo said as he made his way to a chair and sat down. Then looking over to Alex. "This one does not mind if you wish to sit here with him. He thinks perhaps after he rest a little he well go and try to find some food. This one does not recall for sure even when his last meal was that he don't." Kaedo said and then paused as though he were trying to recall it. Then after a little while he shock his head back and forth as though saying no. "This one has forgotten so much." Kaedo remarked with remorse in his voice. "Do you remember things well?" He asked looking to Alex. "Is it normal for this one to not remember so much?" He questioned looking a little apprehensive as to what the answer might be.

Alex followed Kaedo over to the chair and plopped down on the floor next to him with her legs stretched out in front of her. She looked up at him still concerned. "Well, I'm sorry all the same...and getting some food sounds like a good idea. I can't remember my last meal either!" Blushing with a nervous expression on her face she put her hand on the back of her head and brushed her fingers once through her hair.

Alex placed her hand in her lap and looked across the room, lost in thought for a moment. "Actually, I usually have a pretty good memory. I remember quite a bit about my life, except for my parents. But that's another story." She smiled at Kaedo again, but her smile quickly faded when she noticed him looking at her with a pained expression. I wish there was something I could do for him... Alex thought for a moment, holding his gaze. I don't know...I guess... "...I don't know Kaedo." She looked away, angry at herself for not having the words to help him. "But, If you want...I can help you find out why you can't remember." She turned back to him and smiled big as if to be reassuring.

"O." Kaedo remarked almost as though disappointed when she said that she had a vary good memory. "Well this one supposes that that is a vary good thing to have you know? A memory even if there is some story parts gone, you still have one." Kaedo added in a attempt not to appear jealous in any way. Kaedo then looked down to Alice as she answered his second question.

"That is okay if you do not know. This one does not know either that is why he asked." Kaedo added after seeing Alice looking away in an attempt to hide her frustration.

Kaedo seemed shocked when she offered to help him find out why he couldn't remember. "That would be wonderful of you this one thinks." He exclaimed excitedly as he jumped to his feet. "But first we shall eat." He added as he held a single finger to the air as if it were the number 'one'. "And this one has questions to ask you that he does." Kaedo said happily as he offered out a hand to help Alice to her feet. "Hopefully this one can ask his questions before his other self comes back to be rude with his peanut gallery remarks." He added with a warming smile.

By this point, Val had managed to get to her feet, her vision swimming for a second before settling. She could smell burnt wood and singed hair- Ah man, my hair!- and most of all, smoke. She made her way for the entrance, deciding to slip out before there was a huge commotion.

"They're going to kill me," she thought quietly, trying to appease her concience. "You didn't mean to, so don't worry about it. Anyways, I'm sure Lady Vexous can get it fixed." With this thought, she snuck to the front, limping a little, and managed to slide out the door and into the night air. She stood on the porch for a second, inhaling, smelling...

Smoke. Why was she smelling smoke?

She looked out towards the village instinctively, and a scream tore out of her throat, cut off abruptly as she clamped her hand over her mouth. The village, her home for the past couple of years and probably longer, was burning. The only place where there might be an inkling of who she used to be was turning into smoke and ashes.

She needed to get home. Now. She hesitated, her concience gripping at her again.

Alex gladly took Kaedo's hand and stood up. "It's my pleasure to be able to help you." She continued to smile, happy to see that Kaedo was in a better mood now and ran over to the ballroom door, turned around, and watched him. She placed her hands behind her back and leaned forward slightly. "Yes, let's eat! And you can ask me anything you like."

Alex turned around and placed her hand on the ballroom door handle and opened the door. Walking into the hallway, she looked back at Kaedo and gave a small smiled. She enjoyed the company of other people, she enjoyed helping people, and she loved to see people smile.

Rasul froze, his eyes widening as the scent of fire. He looked out of the ballroom and saw the orange glare of flames being cast on the surrounding forest. His first thought was that their food source was being burned to the ground. His second thought was that there were people, even children, suffering. It was almost followed on cue by a shrill scream. He had no doubt he was very close to dying if he ran into the fire, being slightly more flamable than a human, but then again, he took a good long look at himself and how low he'd sunk and decided it couldn't get much worse. He left the child and human and raced out to the front steps of the castle. The wind created by the fire swept his hair out of his face and his copper eyes flashed in the light of the blaze. He was aware of a girl standing close by. "Do you know who started this?" he demanded sharply, not caring if his fangs frightened the girl.

Val shook her head as someone talked to her, her eyes riveted on the blaze below. She swallowed, hard, then turned to look at the person, opening her mouth to ask if he knew who did this-
and then her breathe caught in her throat, as she saw a flash of something long, sharp, and white glitter in the moonlight for a brief second. She felt the color rush from her cheeks, and took a step back, almost falling off the steps in the process but catching herself.
