The last thing Dhaymar wanted Vexous to think was that he went around hurting little ones. He said quickly, "I did not hit her. I hit the cookie. I thought it was full of poison." He had only paused a moment and said, "I am not a kitty man." He thought it was a poor why to describe himself. He really wasn't like a kitty at all. He was much bigger and had a lot less fur. He said in a huff, "Once I get some clothes I can go back to my cave then little person doesn't have to worry anymore." Unknowingly Dhaymar pushed more of his scent out feeling uncomfortable with the fact that he was not liked. He would never admit it but it did bother him. So his body reacted for him and pushed his scent out. Subconsciously it made sense, push more smell out and people tended to climb all over him.

Josephine walked through the hallway, and found Vexous and Dhaymar standing in the hallway, "Can you hear me? If so, what number are you? I am X, but you can call me Josephine." She smiled, her tail flicking through the air behind her, Acheron was finally dead, she could rest now. She started to purr, and wrapped her wings around her shoulders. "How did Acheron die anyway? I was standing with Vincent when he just collapsed, I'd love to hear what happened with you and your neko friend later.

Tania put away the last extra shirt into the closet and stretched her arms above her head, yawning. She left the room, and started to walk down the hallway when she heard that creepy voice in her head again. She froze, then decided to walk down to the kitchen for something to eat. She rummaged through the kitchen, looking for one of the bottles of blood that Vexous always kept in the fridge. She pulled it out and grabbed a wine glass from the cupboard. She started to pour herself a glass, before a wonderful scent arose from the next room. She dashed into the room, to find one of the other human servants with a cut on her finger.
"Oh, Tania, thank goodness it's you, I'd hate for one of the vampires to walk in here right now." she said, smiling.
"I'm sorry," Tania whispered before grabbing her friends neck and biting into it, tears dripping down her face to mingle with the blood. She stepped back once she had finished draining her friends body to look at her hands in disgust. "I'm a monster, I shouldn't have ever wanted this. I just killed her, just like that, it was so easy." She took a deep breathe, than tentatively thought 'Vexous? Can you hear me, I'm not sure if this works or not, but since the Chimera can do it I thought I might as well try.'

(Yes, but you can hear both. If you can hear minds you can hear Tania's as well, she doesn't have very good control over it.)

As Dhaymar was leaning against the wall he suddenly heard voice in his head and stood up straight. Was this a spirit? Perhaps a different kind of trick that Vexous' pack was pulling on him. He got very cautious and tentively tried to speak back via mind to the voice saying, "I am twenty-seven. . . are you part of Vexous' pak? Are you trying to pull tricks on me?" He then heard a different voice and put his hands to his head. He shouted out, "Say out! You are pulling tricks and playing with my head. I do not like this." It felt uncomfortable and reminded him of things Master use to do to him. He shrunk to the floor hoping they would not hurt his mind and give him false nightmares that seemed like they were real. People in his mind frightened him more than physical pain. Master had always played tricks with him mind and at one point Dhaymar thought he was going to go insane.

Josephine looked at him curiously, 'Does the way I talk hurt you? I am sorry if it does, I don't mean to hurt you. If you want I can block this kind of communication for you.' She crouched down next to him and held her hands against his head, waiting for his yes or no. She slowly found the areas in her mind that let her using Telepathy and started a block to prevent his.

Dhaymar whimpered a little as the memories of what Master did to him resurfaced. He went forward trying to cuddle into the being in front of him wanting comfort. His eyes were closed and he said softly, "Dhaymar will be good Master. Please don't do mind trick. I will be good I promise." He gave another low whimper and tried to make himself look as docile as possible. He was scared and his mind thought he was back in the time when Master did things to him. He, at the moment, forgot the girl and Vexous just worrying about displeasing Master.

'I'm not Master, he was a cruel man.' Josephine told him, wrapping him into a hug, 'Master is gone, Master can't hurt us anymore. You're safe now.' She wrapped her wings into a cocoon and tried to think of comfort and happiness to send to him. 'It's alright, if you want I will stop talking like this, no more 'mind tricks' from me.' She looked over at Vexous and privately told her, 'What did Master do to him? It seems horrible whatever it was.'

Dhaymar could still hear the voice in his mind but now it was indiscernible to him. He knew though that soon images and feelings that were not real would take him to bad places. He snuggled up to the being who was holding him wanting nothing more than for it to save him. He moaned sadly and pleaded again, "Please Master Dhaymar will be good. Don't do mind tricks please Master please. I will be good." His scent was swinging from pushing out high amounts to pushing out small amounts seeming to go in sway of his unstable emotions.

kimmy heard kitty man talk and she was listening while he was whimpering she unlocked the door "is kitty man ok." she didnt like kitty man he was mean but she didnt want people to hurt like she was. she ran over to him and put her hand on his head "kitty man you ok."

Josephine puzzled, and decided too stop talking to Dhaymar, so she simply held him close and rubbed his ears slowly, trying to calm him down. She inhaled, loving the smell coming off him. When the girl opened the door and rushed in, a fierce protectiveness welled up inside her and she hissed, shielding Dhaymar from the girl with her wings.

Suddenly the mind talking stopped. He stayed perfectly still in case Master changed his mind. It seemed the pleading worked this time where so many times it had not. Dhaymar had not know love growing up but he new comfort when he came across it. He could feel someone petting him and warm feelings. He stayed curled up with his eyes closed not wanting to let go of the safe feeling.

But then there was a hiss and he whimpered again wondering if he had been wrong.

Josephine felt Dhaymar quivering and kept gently rubbing his ears, trying to reassure him without saying anything. She pulled her wings back a little, still keeping the girl from touching him but letting him see her. Her tail flicked over and curled around him as well, a cat’s way of saying it’s safe.

Dhaymar slowly became more and more aware of his surrounding. Now that things were calm and safe his mind was returning to the moment and stopped swimming in the past. He opened his eyes and looked up at who was petting him. She wore a peaceful expression and seemed to be shielding him. He looked around and noticed the little cookie girl from before. It hit him where he was.

He backed away from the both hurriedly ashamed at what had happened. Had he really just acted so pathetic in front of these people? He clung to the wall scared, nervous and shamed. He had not wanted to leave the safe comforting arms of the one before him but he was a little scared. He could not believe the way he had acted. Then he grew worried. What if this one could do more mind tricks. Did she want to do things that Master did to him?

Curling up against the wall he looked down and said softly and carefully just in case, "Twenty-seven will be good lady master. Please do not do mind tricks." He didn't want to beg her but he was frightened that if he upset her she might hurt him in his mind.

Josephine shook her head, biting back the impulse to mind speak him. Instead she turned her back on him and lifted up the back of her shirt, so he could see the large, faint, X at the base of her spine. She turned back to him and held out her hand, pointing at her head, before making shaking her hands in a ‘no’, "I hope he knows what I'm trying to tell him." she thought to herself.

She walked slowly towards him, pointing at her ears, wings, and tail, and than at his ears. ’ We are one and the same, my brother,’ she told him lightly, so if he didn’t want to hear it, his subconscious would just deny it. She held out one of her hands to him, outstretched to pull him into the sheltering cocoon that was her wings.

He glanced up briefly when he heard movement wondering if she was going to hit him. He was a little surprised she was willing to turn her back to him. For any animal that was a showing of trust or how powerful they were. He wondered which one it was. He then noticed the X and wondered what it meant.

He was pretty sure though that when she pointed to her head and made the no sign that it meant she wouldn't do any mind tricks to him. Softly he said, "You won't do more mind tricks?" Dhaymar wondered why she did not just speak so he asked her, "Is your mouth broken? Can you not talk out loud?" It was a curious thing and he wondered how someone's mouth could get broken so they couldn't speak. His curiosity was making him feel less scared as he wondered over these things. He did not hear any more mind voices and was grateful. He didn't want her to do mind tricks. Mind tricks frightened him badly.

When she made the motion for him to come back to her he hesitated. He kind of wanted to go back and feel safe but at the same time he didn't want to look weak. Finally he decided not to since he wasn't completely sure he could trust her. He stayed clinging to the wall but looked lest frightened now.

Josephine smiled, and shook her head no to the first question, and yes to the second. She hesitated, then let her hand drop down next to her waist, where her tail was wrapped around her. 'I am sorry for the mind tricks, but this is the way the Master cursed me to talk, and after this you will hear no more from me.' she whispered to him, before setting up several light blocks for his mind, that he could get rid of by himself when he was no longer afraid of mind tricks. Tears started to sting her eyes, and she hurriedly blinked them away.

(If you want to describe the feeling of the block in place, I think it would be something like silence after a low muttering, that you didn't realize was there until it was gone)

Dhaymar understood as she shook or nodded her head to his questions. So her mouth was broken somehow. He shrunk back immediately when he heard her mind again and said a bit upset, "You lied! You said no more mind tricks!" He cuddled to the wall. He had not really even paid attention to the words that she had sent but only on the fact that she had spoken in his mind again. He was still frightened of her but was trying not to show it.

((This will be interesting. Poor Dhaymar keeps upsetting everyone. First cookie girl and now Josephine))

Josephine looked at him, glared, and then pointed at his mind, and then made a listen motion. She closed her eyes and practically screamed at him in mind speech, but the blocks held firm, and she could tell from his expression that he couldn't hear what she said. She opened her hands, took water from the air to fill them, and drank from the pool that was there. She shook off her hands and sat, her stubborn chin in the air and her back to him, 'I just did it to help you,' she told him, even though it felt like talking to a brick wall it still made her feel better.

kimmy ran over to the kitty man "kitty man ok is kitty man hurt." she didnt want to touch kitty man again because she didnt want to get hissed at again "im sorry." she felt like it was her fault he was upset now and she didnt like that idea since he reminded her of the kitty girl that helped her get away.

He shrunk a little when the lady glared at him and did not understand her. He was not sure what to make of her. She had made him feel safe but she also knew how to do mind tricks. He then looked timidly at the cookie girl and asked her, "Do you do mind tricks too? I don't like them." Dhaymar decided to behave just so no one here hurt him. Vexous pack turned out to be more formidable than he had thought and he would have to be careful.

"mind tricks?" kimmy had no idea what he was talking about what were mind tricks "no i cant do mind tricks but i can do this." she stuck her tounge out and touched her nose with it "see i special." she was so proud of her trick her mother hated it she remembered that because she would always do it when she has dirt or food all over her face to gross her mom out "can kitty man do that."

Dhaymar watched as the girl licked her nose and wondered if it was dirty. He did not understand how this was a trick. Tricks were things people did to try and deceive or hurt you. He cocked his head a bit and his ear twitched. The little one was odd but at least she could not enter his mind. He stuck out his own tongue and licked the tip of his nose.

Dhaymar still had some pride and said, "I am not a kitty man. I am a neko man. Kittens are babies and are covered in fur. I am not a baby and I am not covered in fur. Call me neko man, Dhaymar or twenty-seven." His ear twitched not liking being called a kitten.

kimmy laughed "you can do the trick to." she listened to him until he said neko the other kitty person said something like that but she never did understand what it ment "whats ne ne nepo." she was going to stick with calling him kitty man but as long as he said it she might as well ask since she was so full of questions now.

"I have cat blood in me but I'm not a cat," he said as he grabbed his tail and twitched his ears then continued, "That's why I have cat ears and tail but see I'm not covered in fur." He didn't have sleeves on his rag of a shirt but he put his arm out for her to see. "See it's skin like a normal man." He didn't like it that she kept calling him a furry baby and hoped she would understand and call him something else.
