Twelve small boxes about the size of a wedding ring case were carried into the post office. Each box had a neat lable stuck upon them with a name and adress. If you were to get a closer look you would see that they were adressed all over the world. The exact amount was stamped upon it with a carefully bought sticker with a barcode upon it. There was no return adress, or any sign of who had adressed them. If you could peer inside, you would see what seemed like an ancient coin layed amonst some crusehed velvet of a shimmering and colorul hue. Each coin although similar in the design and metal had a different face and tail in their images...one had a picture of a fish upon it....

The person caryying them was cloaked. The person had a long coat with a hood up. this person also was hard to notice. People's eyes just seem to slipp of ther person, even though if you could look at the one, it would almost seem aas if the person was glowing softly.

The person didn't bother to head into the line but went straight to the drop off. The long slender hands released each package one by one into the metal shoot. When all were delivered, the hands clasped each other tightly as if in prayer. A quick turn about and the person fled the post office seeming to disappear entirely in a ray of sunlight.

((these packages have been sent a few weeks from when we started posting. :D I made the coin in 3D Let me know if you want your coin done, I would like to ask for a small 25g to help with the time it takes to make them....))

Jexir headed into the general store and over to the pay phone, calling her cousin on a collect call. The phone rang twice before her cousin picked up and agreed to the charges that the operator requested an answer for, "Jexi jinx, when are you coming to visit?" Her cousin asked curiously, having not seen her cousin in a few years.

"I was just about to suggest it to Will." Jexir replied, thinking of how soon it'd take to get plane tickets and head over seas, with the horses as well, "Well, it'd be a few days at least for us to put the horses in a stable and then buy tickets, but we should be there soon."

"And I take it that Will will be joining?" Minna asked curiously, having a crush on the cowboy her cousin refused to even think about dating.

"Yeah, but I wouldn't recommend trying anything, he never seems to date anybody." Jexir smiled, knowing her cousin is a hopeless romantic.

"I'll talk to you in a week." Minna said before they both hung up. Jexir walked over to the diner where Will was drinking a cup of coffee, "Hey, want to go see Minna? She's dying to see you again and you need a break from all this stress, Scotland would be great for you." Jexir smiled as she slid into the seat across from him.

"What about the horses and tickets?" Will questioned, finishing his cup and set it down on the table.

"I'll take care of it, though you mind setting them in a stable?" She smiled, hoping that he'd agree to it, "You know that she'll keep from touching you." She added, knowing all about his other form.

"Fine." He finally agreed after thinking about the whole thing, paying for his coffee before leaving.

A week later he and Jexir were in Scotland, Minna hugged Jexir when they walked out and into the airport, "Bless my heart it took you two long enough to get here." She smiled looking at both of them, "So how have you two been? You both have a stack of mail waiting at the house." She added as they all went to grab the few bags they had and headed to her waiting pickup truck.

Xern didn't know what to think of this sensation at first, but slowly, he began to uncurl himself until he was looking up into the face of a strange looking girl. She had no eyes--they were covered--but her mouth turned into a smile.

"Hello," she said to him, her hands reaching out to touch his face.

He scooted across the floor away from her curious hands. "What's wrong with your eyes?"

She didn't move but the sweet smile that had been there a moment ago had transformed into a catty grin. "Would you like to see?" She asked daringly.

He didn't like dares. The other children at the orphanage always dared him. If he didn't take the dare, he was a coward and if he did, he'd get in trouble. But this girl hadn't outright dared him, so maybe...He remembered the woman and they police were probably coming to get him. What would it matter if he was already in trouble anyway? He stepped forward slowly until he was just in front of her. He untied the cloth around her eyes and saw that there was nothing wrong with her eyes. They were as ordinary as his but they were closed. "Why won't you open them?"

She felt for the blindfold that had been removed and started to tie it again. "I'm not allowed to. The last time people died."

"People die when you open your eyes? I don't believe it! Prove it!" He challenged her. This girl was weird! He took the blindfold off again and refused to give it to her unless she looked at him.

"Fine," she said with a shrug. "But don't blame me if you die."

He laughed but it was hollow. "No one would care if I died."

Emi opened her eyes but because she hadn't changed, she was blind. Her violet eyes saw nothing. "I'd care. You're my first friend."

Xern scoffed. "Nothing happened! I thought I was supposed to die!" He pushed her so hard that her face hit the floor. "You're a liar! I'm not your friend!" He didn't know where the anger had come from but he ranted at her as if possessed. "I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!" He pounded on the walls of the room until a sob choked him and he crumpled to the floor, crying.

(Present day)
Emi removed her blind fold carefully placing it in a specific corner of her vanity before brushing out her hair, a ritual that she performed every night before going to bed. Her mind also remembered the day that she had met Xern. The day that she defied her parents. She had wanted a friend. She had been so alone and she knew that this boy was alone too. When her father came home, her mother marched him up to their daughter's room and demanded that he get rid of the boy. Emi had surprised them both when she didn't have her blindfold on and told them that she had revealed her secret to the boy. She voluntarily changed into her secret form but kept her eyes closed. Neither liked the threat that their daughter was making but they promised her to adopt the boy. when she changed back, her mother slapped her hard across the face and wanted to recant the promise, but her father refused and insisted that they keep their promise. When asked what his name was, the boy didn't have one. The orphanage claimed his name was lost. In the end, Emi chose his name.

Xern discovered a neatly wrapped package in the mailbox upon his return from the store addressed to Emi. Strange. He thought. He had believed that he was the only one who knew her, but for her to receive a strange package almost indicated that she had another friend. The thought made him only a little jealous. He had been her one and only friend for so long that to share her with another wasn't something he felt comfortable with. He had realized when the little girl that was Emi at the time threatened her parents for him that she was just as alone as he was. Then he saw that she had changed. He felt the scales of her skin against his arm, quivering in fear conflicting with courage. Their parents never knew how terrified that she had been that day, but he remembered. She hadn't ever changed again since that day that he had seen and he had never seen her actually kill someone, but somehow he believed. He carried the box into the house and to Emi's room.

"We need to head into town really fast... I forgot to mention today we need to buy more food and stuff since you guys are going to stay for a bit." Minna smiled as she pulled herself into the driver's seat of the pickup. There was only room for two in the cabin, so Will jumped intot he bed of the pick up and tied down his and Jexir's bags.

"Why doesn't Willy-Billy sit in the cabin for once?" Minna muttered.

"Well... He's claustrophobic. You should have seen him on the plane." Jexir lied with a small smile.

"I guess." Minna sighed and turned the key, the engine roared to life before they headed over to the town's center where a fountain was a pull for tourists to see people performing, "You guys go see the street performers while I gather my groceries." She shooed them off as she killed the engine on a curb and headed off.

"I want to go hear the music." Jexir smiled grabbing Will's hand and pulling him out of the truck and towards the fountain.

"Do you... feel that?" Will asked as they drew closer to the fountain, starting to sense the other Zodiac near him. He had never felt this odd sensation before and made his other form want to come out of hiding.

The circus master smiled at the furry newcomer.

"Oh my," he said calmly, almost playfully.

"We do seem to be getting all kinds today. Unfortunately I don't think I can handle you at the moment. Mores the pity.." he sighed theatrically shrugging his shoulders. then his eyes seem to smolder a dark red. He smashed his lantern upon the ground The area was filled with smoke and a strange chorus of wailing souls. Through the smoke it seemed as if spirits reached out and flickered within. they swatted at anything that came near.

The circus master grabbed the scaly boy and seemed to sink within the smoke, dissipating.

"Yori come!" the master cried to the worker. He wanted an extra hand with his new prize.

Meanwhile Jori had long since fainted.

Crap... Adeline sighed as the circus master and the boy disappeared. Those were my only clothes... She realized with a low groal. She'd tried to do something nice for someone and she was left all alone. That was so rewarding.

Letting out a huff from the bitter defeat, Adeline hurried out the back of the carnival attraction and sulked in the trees as she made her way back to her apartment. Changing back into a human, Adeline climbed into her apartment skillfully after double checking that no one was looking.

I'm completely and udderly useless... Adeline realized with a sigh as she dressed in a silk night gown and fell flat against the bed.

Yori had spoken to the other circus hand as his ma- Employer had told him. The man seemed to be more muscly, more carny-like then Yori. Although he was inches taller then said cat man and had piercings in the oddest places...Yori was sure he could take him in a fight, and maybe even be a better weight lifter, if he laid off the cigarettes...

"Yori! Come!"
His ears twitched inside his hat when he heard the command and in nearly a second he was beside the circus master, the muscly man on his other side.

They began to heft the delicious...err, merman toward a tank that was already filled by some of the other grunt workers. His nose picked up a canine-like scent and he winced. There was more then one reason he disliked dogs. One was obvious, because he was a cat. He chose to not ask about it, since it seemed like something a normal human wouldn't know.

It was if the stars quivered and groaned in the sky. the constellations, glowed bright, then grew dim reflecting like a explosion. they stared down upon the earth, reflecting the few that possessed their strength.

The coins that had been sent glowed brightly, they had been finding their masters for over several weeks and due to luck or some force they were if not in possession, then almost within reach. From the power of the stars, they burst forth from their packages to land within the hands of the chosen zodiac. Once within their hand, light shot forth to lead them toward one single point.

After the initial light shone, it died down to be an almost indecipherable twinkle, like a needle on a compass. They led to Athens Greece, a place where myth and Gods had once ruled.

Xern left the package on Emi's desk, thinking she could take care of it in the morning. He took a few steps away, almost thinking that he should take it to her now. But he continued out of the office and to his room.

The next morning, Emi discovered the strange little package. She held it in her hands, trying to get a feel for what was inside, but her senses were dulled. With a little agitation, she began to undo the fastenings, hearing Xern's footsteps at the door. "Please, help me with this." She offered him the package.

He took it and unwrapped it to find a strange looking coin.

"What is it?" She asked him.

"I don't know. It just looks like a coin, but the design is odd..." Suddenly, the coin "jumped" from his hand into Emi's with a blinding flash.

While the girls were baking, the mail had been delivered and set upon the dining room table. Once the baking was finished, the girls took their plate of cookies and glasses of milk to the Dining Room, and ignoring the mail for surely none of it was theirs, the girls went to the free end of the table and sat down with their snack, each dunking their cookies in milk before taking a bite.

However, as the girls were talking, an interesting humming came from the mail. When the girls paused to listen, two coins shook in their packages and darted from them, heading straight for the girls. When it seemed like they were going to hit each girl smack dab in the nose, the coins stopped and hovered in the air, spinning slowly in front of their faces.

Shooting each other a look of fright as the light flashed to fill the room as if lightning has struck nearby and then dimmed to a small beam of light, each beam pointing in the same direction. On further inspection, the coins were identical in design. The only difference being, while the pictures were raised upon Saiyuri's coin, the pictures were carved into Lucia's coin. On the "head" of the coin, was the zodiac symbol "Gemini". However, the "tail" was rather strange. Upon it were two symbols and a set of fairy wings, one symbol light and the other dark, one wing light the other dark. It was as if the coins were created specifically for the twins themselves.

"How strange.." said Lucia as she touched her coin hesitantly, which immediately fell to the table with a loud clang. Picking it up and looking it over, she looked to Saiyuri and asked softly, her voice barely above a whisper, "Do you think someone knows our secret and is trying to blackmail our parents?"

Saiyuri shook her head as she held her own coin in the palm of her hand, "No, I don't think so.. There seems to be an enchantment upon it. Perhaps we are meant to follow the light?"

"Saiyuri, that's nonsense! What if we're kidnapped or killed! Or possibly even worse things could happen to us!" hissed Lucia in a soft whisper.

"What could be worse than dying?" Saiyuri teased as she placed a kiss upon Lucia's forehead, "Lucia, it could be an adventure! Maybe we're meant to seek out, whatever it is we're meant to find at the end of this light. Please say yes?" Saiyuri added with a small pout on her lips, using the one face that could usually get her way with Lucia. Saiyuri couldn't help it, she wanted adventure. She'd been craving adventure. She needed it and hoped Lucia wouldn't say no.

"I'll think upon it. But after the weird feeling you had in the park, how can you possibly be so silly as to wish to leave on a longer journey farther away from home?" asked Lucia softly, "Is your need for adventure truly that strong?"

"It is," Saiyuri admitted with a blush.

Adeline let out a yawn as she changed her clothes to a maroon, silk nightgown that she'd bought in her hometown from a small designer in the slums. She clutched the fabric gently as she remembered her hometown and let out a sigh as she released the fabric and walked into the kitchen.

Adeline hopped onto the counter, not spotting the small package which had been slipped through her mail slot, as she looked over the cupboards and fridge for anything to eat that would require as little work as possible as she felt incredibly lazy and useless from the incident earlier. Deciding on popcorn and a diet soda, Adeline tossed the popcorn into her microwave and moved to the couch as she flipped lazily through the channels with her soda in hand as she waited for the popcorn to cook.

With the television blaring, Adeline didn't hear the rustle of the paper from the package near the door so it came as quite a shock once the coin had broken through and paper and stared Adeline in the face. Adeline heard rather then felt the soda slip from her hands as it fell to the floor in front of her as a light shot out of the small coin and opened what looked like a portal from a science fiction. "Oh my God." She whispered softly as she stood up and took the coin in her hand, flipping it over to see the Cancer sign as well as the small picture of the werewolf.

Panic overwhelmed Adeline as she realized that someone knew her secret and that her life may be on the line. The microwave began to beep as the smell of popcorn took over the room, making Adeline realize that the tv was still on as sound began to happen again. Adeline looked cautiously at the light portal and knew immediately that she needed to follow and find out who knew what was happening with her. Adeline shut off the tv and held the coin tight in her hand as she stepped forward into the light with no regrets left behind her as she looked forward at her new fate.

Emi gasped at the coined, warm landed into her palm. At first it only felt warm but then it felt as though it were on fire. She wanted to let it go, but an unknown force kept her hand closed on the coin. In her ear she heard whispering unintelligible at first until it said. "I know your secret, Medusa."

As quickly as it started, the whispers ceased and Emi immediately dropped the coin. Medusa? The creature of Greek legend? No one had ever made the comparison before, but it was very accurate based on everything Emi knew about herself. Who was this person?

"Are you all right?" Xern asked, picking up the coin. "You're pale."

He hadn't heard the whispers? Emi covered her mouth with her hand, thinking. "I-uh, I'm fine." She sat down, dazed. "I just need to think." She should leave. Xern would be in danger if this person knew where she lived. "Could you get me some water, please?

"Sure," he said and left her office.

Once his footsteps echoed down the hall, Emi found her bag and placed the coin inside. She walked to the door and stepped into the hallways hesitantly. She didn't want to leave Xern, but she had no choice. She kept her hand on the wall as she quickly walked down the opposite hallway.
