"I've never ridden." Nashita said, her voice a bit higher from nerves that she would fall off. "I'm just seen other's ride." She said as she tightened her legs around the horse's body. "I just hope I don't fall off." She joked.

Ashar smiled and stroked the mare softly. "she's a fine horse, you have nothing to worry about, i'm sure she'll be good to you" he said tying the mare's lead to the back of his saddle. he mounted and made a soft clicking noise to earge on his horse. the mare fallowed behind at a relaxed pace. "see she's a good girl," he said looking back. "and the horse is behaving herself as well.

Nashita rolled her eyes playfully as the rode. "How are we going to get out of the city?" She asked quietly, the fear of being caught finally catching up with her. Ash would survive if they were caught, being the Prince, but Nashita was nothing but filth on the street and wasn't sure if she would receive the same gratitude.

i think i can get us out so long as i hide my face. he looked through the saddle bags to no avail. "do you have a scarf or something i can use?" he asked hopefully. he planed on telling the guards that he and his wife were trailing merchants, and needed to move on. however all the guards knew the prince's face.

"Yes." Nashita said as she dug through her bag and pulled out a long blue scarf. "Here." She said as she gripped onto the saddle tight, reaching across to hand Ash the scarf.

Ashar took the scarf and wrapped it around his face. he then lead the horses to the gate the guard looking them over. "mind letting us pass sir? My wife and I are heading out to see her family." he lied reaching over and pressing his covered lips to her cheek. the guard rolled his eyes and waved them through.

Nashita smiled excitedly as the guard let them pass. "Where to now?" She asked as soon as they were far enough away from the guard. "I'm not sure where the next town is." She admitted sheepishly.

"i'm not one hundred percent sure But i think the next town is by an oasis" he said pointing east. he thought this was a dangerous idea but it was this or suffer his father or some other horrid fate. "you can sleep if you want and i'll keep us moving." he said with a smile.

"I am sleepy." Nashita murmured shyly. "Wake me when we get close?" She asked as she stretched over the horse and rested her face in the mane as she drifted off to sleep.

Ashar smiled as she fell asleep. she wouldn't be very comfortable when she woke but at least she could sleep. he doubted they would make it there before the night was out. he himself was tired

Nashita felt herself fall deeper asleep as she began to dream about the town ahead of them. About Ashar proposing though the dream continued to shift as it morphed between Ashar's kisses and their life together, causing a large grin to spread across Nashita's lips.

Ashar yawned and looked back at nashita as she slept. she was smileing and that made him happy. he hoped they could be happy together even if the chances were low. he wished he was like one of the demons from the sorry's his mother had told. more like the demon who turned her husband's brothers into dogs because they tried to kill them both. He yawned again wishing he could marry Nashita.

Nashita rubbed her eyes lazily as she felt pain ripple down her back. Sitting up, Nashita heard her back snap the entire length down. "That feels better." She laughed quietly. "Its terribly uncomfortable to sleep on a horse." She stated as she swerved her body to stretch her back.

"the hose shifted its body to accommodate her. "well good morning princess" he said turning around to kiss her lightly almost falling off his own horse in doing so. "sorry about the stiff back but its all we can do for now." he said turning back to the way he was facing. he wished she knew how to ride so the could be side by side and not one fallowing the other.

Nashita rubbed her eyes sleepily, knowing she'd be unable to sleep anymore. "Do you think the King will know where to look for us? I mean, of course they'll search for you but do you think we'll be safe?" Nashita asked a little warily. If Ashar was caught then they'd probably beat him and punish him cruelly but if Nashita was found with him...
She didn't want to think about the consequences. She was too young to die and thinking about it made her uneasy. |
