Bio: Luke just got separated from his girl friend, by a guy that was better at the game than he was but was on another team. He would like to win her back, but he doesn't know if it will work or what he would do.

Luke was sitting at a table in the back of the school looking off at the lake that was behind it. He was still down, and was trying to find a way to get Wendy back. He missed being with her, and didn't think that anyone was able to fill her spot. She was the girl that didn't care what was done just that she had someone to be with and he liked that for the fact he didn't have much money. He looked at some of the girls as they walked out of the school at the end of the day.

Bio: The younger sister of cheerleader Lucerne Casey (Lucy), Sheila's always been overshadowed by her sister's talent, so she's made herself a name among the geeks. She's a trivia buff and the disc jockey for the school radio station

Sheila walked through the crowded cafeteria with a plate of mystery meat, smashed potatoes and peas, trying to jostle her way between the table to the corner in the back where she normally sat. As she passed Luke's table (I swear it was an accident!), a few peas slopped off her tray and onto Luke's shoulder. She didn't notice, continuing to make her way back to her spot.

Luck was rudly thrown out of though by fealing some thing splatter on him. He turned and seen that it was major geek. "Hey.. watch where you sling your food.." Luke said rather loudly as he got up and brushed off his shoulder and his shirt. "I need the jursy for tonights game.. then it can get dirty.." he added.

As he stood, she winced, ducking her head. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, really." Her shoulders hunch, as though she's expecting him to hit her, a pitiful look in her green eyes. She clutches her tray tight, using it to distance herself from the soccer player.

Luke seen that she jumped a bit, which shoot her tray. He was about to turn and walk away not even thinking of harming anyone, and seen that her milk was falling off her try and was headed toward the ground. Using his quick reflexes, he slight kicked the milk up and cought it in his hand. "It's ok..here.." He said placing the milk down on her tray again. "I didn't mean to snap either.. just been hecktic around here lately.." he added and turned and walked away.

He had known the girl for a while but only knew her as the queen geek of the school. He was usually nice to everyone, but he didn't want to kill his rep. on the team, so he had his rough times as well. As he walked he thought about trying to make his ex jealous, but he still didn't know who would make her jealous enough to go back to him.

As he walked away, Sheila stood, blinking for a minute before scurrying to her table quietly, head down, just glad he hadn't decided to go psycho on her. She sat, alone of course, and pulled a book out of her backpack to read, hoping it would distract her from the horrid taste of the food.

At the same time, though, she glanced up from the pages of the sci-fi/fantasy novel she was reading to look at Luke. No guy gave her a second glance, of course none like him. And what would she want with a lunkhead jock like that anyway? Or at least those were the lies she told herself.

Luke sat back down and thought a bit more. If he did decide to go with the geek, then how would Wendy want to go back to him. Unless he could some how get her to agree to go to the dance that is in about 3 weeks, and get her to look better than what she did now.

Sheila stuck her head into the book again as her older sister, Lucy, walked past with her boyfriend, another soccer player. After all, only the best for the tall, blonde popular Lucy. And as if trying to make it worse, Lucy looked at Sheila and winked, teasingly.

Sheila pretended not to notice, but once Lucy had walked away, behind her book, she was crying silently, a tear running down her cheek.

Luke got up once again, and headed back toward the table that she was at and sat down across from her. "may I ask a question or two?" He said not caring what people thought for him walking over to her. Most people asked for home work, but he was asking for kinda a date, to get her dressed up and see if she did want to go to the dance with him

She looked up, took a deep breath, suppressing her tears, then spoke. "Of course you may. Far be it from me to disallow free speech." After a moment, her eyes sunk down again, like she was afraid to meet his gaze for any length of time. Afraid he would snap at her or something.

"well thank you?" He said with a slight chuckle. "Are you planning on going to the dance thats coming up?" He asked knowing that she knew about it becase she was the school DJ and all. "well I was wondering if you would like to go with me..." he stated and looked at her book scene it was covering her face.

She looked at him a long moment, lowering the book (Arrows of the Queen, Mercedes Lackey). "This is a joke, right? Or a bet? Have you seen the movie 'Never Been Kissed'? The popular guy asks the nerd out so he can throw eggs at her. And later, dog food down her outfit." Her tone was low, flat. Emotionless, and she looked at him accusingly. "You would never ask me out."

"yes i have seen it, and no that's not what i am doing. " he said looking down. "I was just curious that's all.. sorry for asking.." he added and got up. He liked how she was smart and cough onto what he was kinda thinking, but hey.. people change right?

He started walking back toward the school, because class was soon to start back up, and he just wanted to play his game.

She stood, as well, throwing out her food (not like she'd been hungry, right?) and grabbing her book. She followed him inside, going to class (where of course the teacher would demand that she perform, half the questions he asked were directed to her. It's not fair, really). Her thoughts, though, were still on Luke. A guy who'd seen "Never Been Kissed"? That was a rarity these days.

Luke might have been one of the jocks but he didn't know that Wendy really didn't see that and she was just wanting popularity. He loved to play, and yet still have fun outside of class. Her comments didn't bother him. The least she could have said was no., but he also got some sarcasm in there as well. He sat down in class and just waited for time to take its path, he had theater next, and he couldn't wait.

Sheila walked into theater, taking her seat near the front of the class and organizing her desk. Notebook on the right, pencil on top of it. A copy of the Complete Works of Shakespeare on the left. She looked back to Luke's seat just a moment, before turning to face front again, blushing.

Luke sat down and looked forward. He wished she would have just gave him a chance, but he didn't let it bother him too much. They were actual going to act out some parts and it was his turn to go up, and rehearse.

From her seat in the front row, she watched him with a critical eye. God, he was actually cute, and he had asked her? Maybe the error was in his judgement. She twirled a strand of hair lightly, but then stopped as soon as she caught herself doing it.

The class went on and he acted as best as he could. Their class was thinking of preforming a play but they were not for sure what one, or who was all in it. Every once in a while, he cough himself looking out toward the geek, he was wishing he knew her real name, but he was slightly afraid to ask her, because of his last attempt and being shot down like that.

At one point, the teacher called her up to act with him. "Sheila, you take the female part."

So Sheila stood, quietly composing herself before stepping to the front of the room. And from the first line, she was no longer Sheila, but she took on the fiery persona of the female character, not just reading the line, but giving it force and power, her voice stronger and bolder. "But because you said yes, all that you can do, for all your crown and your trappings, and your guards—all that your can do is to have me killed."

((wow.. that kinda threw me off guard..lol nice .. now just how to work this one out.. :} ))

Luke knew the role better than any of the other guys, so he kinda showed off and placed the script down to his side while she was up there with him. "Just say yes, and all will be done. No killing of my love, and thee be safe again with thy lover." ((i have no clue lol)) He threw his whole sole into what he was doing. Beside soccer he was great at this, and thus was why he was more than likely getting the main role in the play this fall.

((LOL. Remember, she does the radio, so acting comes to her. ;) ))

"Yes, yes, a thousand times yes." Though most girls had been doing that line by screaming it, making it loud and melodramatic, her interpretation was a but different. She stepped a little closer to him, cheating out so the class could still see her, and said it as a harsh and desperate whisper.

(yea i know.. but still lol)

"than shall we run off, so thy be safe from harm?" Luke spoke, and offered her his hand. This was more as acting, but yet how she was acting as well stirred something up in him, that even Wendy didn't. He didn't quiet know what to call it, but he kept going with the script untill the teacher halted them to stop.

"That was great" The teacher said as he clapped. "I think we might have the 2 main roles for the fall play" he added. Luke looked at her and gave a small smile, and went to sit back down.

Sheila sat, then looked back over her shoulder at him, blushing brightly. She had written him off as a pure jock, not realizing what talent he had. Maybe...maybe she had misjudged him. When the bell rang to signal the end of class, she stood by her desk, waiting for him to pass, before she muttered at him. "You did really good."

Luke looked over at her, as he passed and stopped. "Thanks, you didn't do bad yourself." He said and smiled a bit. There was more to him than what met the eye, and many people didn't see this. "Are you going to the game tonight?" He asked trying to get a conversation going with her again.
