The mission was to capture and hold hostage as many enemy clan members as possible. Shika, and his party of four were going capture at least five. Shika and his team stood on the edge of the camp hidden by bushes and the surrounding foliage. He readied the team by hold up his hand, then he brought it down, indicating that everyone start moving. Soon the group was off in random directions and heading towards a target.

Kenta moved quickly. he had heard reports of a Group of shinobi in the area an he needed to warn the camp. he Arrived nearly out of breath but he was good at hiding it. "reports say there is a group of at least four Shoko shinobi on the move in the area." he said bowing to the head ninja in the camp who only nodded with no interest.

"do you not trust me Kenta" he said. "i'm not foolsh enough to no know when there are ninjas about that are not of the conarmi" he looked down at Kenta. every one looked down at kenta no matter how hard he worked.

Outside in the mean time. The small Shoko group already had some captures. Two of the group member fled off leaving him,and two others with him. They met up by a tent, on some tree branches. "You two make a distraction, while I led in to take someone." The two ninjas nodded their head,and jumped out of the tree. They headed over to a part far from Shika's location,and lit the camp a flame, then they yelled out "FIRE!FIRE!"before jumping back into the trees.

"FIRE FIRE" kenta heard people yelling. he looked out and could see. smoke rising from one of the tents. three ninja's were approaching the tent he and the leader were in. Kenta looked in their hands as two of the dragged two dead bodies with them. the were the bodies of the ninja who set tent aflame.

"kenta Use Ari to find any other's that might be still learking about. like you said there were atleast four." the leader said looking at the map that he had aid out on the table. Kenta nodded and went outside. he whistled loudly and a hawk came to land on his arm.

"find the Shoko, Ari" he said stroking its feathered head before it took off again.

Shika growled as he watched the scene."You idiots!"He hissed as he jumped from his hiding spot. As he hit the ground, he heard the screech of a Hawk,and looked up.Cursing under his breath, then ninja threw some mini kunis at the bird hoping to kill it. He then ran off into the tent camp in hopes to hide from the bird.

"this way Kenta" said as he ran ofter the screeching of Ari. he nticed she was getting lower ing the sky an he could see she was gliding in the direction the ninja had gone. her wing had been pierced by a mini kuni but it didn't stay in the wing. he jumped on one ofthe tents and off again to catch hi pet. "fallow in the tents he was trying to hide from ari" he said petting her head. they were hot on the shoko's tail.

Shika knew that they were getting closer so out of desperation, he set up a few paper bombs behind him,and jumped up into the trees again,and headed off in a north direction towards his home base. The paper bombs were set to go off in ten to fifteen seconds, which gave Shika,as well as his targets some time to get away or get in range of the attack.In the meantime, the two remaining team members watched a Shika was coming towards them. They looked on in worry, as their leader's time was running out. Fifteen seconds passed,and the paper bombs went off, Shika was out of the kill range, but the impact still hit him. The ninja was thrown off the branches,and fell to the ground.After a minute, he stood up,and looked around a little groggily. Shaking his head Shika regained his composure,and cautiously went over to the kill zone to see if anyone was alive or if he killed his chasers.

kenta set Ari in one of the tents. and continued his chase. "kenta!! bomb!!" one of the others yelled as he chased on. he could see the guy he threw some Kuni aiming to disable no kill. as soon as they left his hands the paper bombs went off. Kenta was set flying backwards his head colliding with one of the large trees. his body went limp as he passed out.

Shika heard something clunk against a tree,and looked.He saw Kenta passed out at the base of the tree,and took his chance to go,and take him hostage. The Shoko ninja lifted Kenta up,and cradled him as he leapt into the and jumped along the tree branches,back towards his team. "Your taking him?"One of his teammates asked."He was knocked out, easy target."Shika said chuckling. The two others laughed as well,and soon the three of them were off back to base with their hostages.

kenta was as good as dead. he would have been though so if it wasn't for the sound of air moving in and out of his lungs.damnage was bad on a level that only the medical minded could find. Ari Kenta's bird tried desperately to fallow her master but with thw hole lying and keeping up was imposable.

Shika saw the bird,and rolled his eyes."Kill the bird."Shika ordered. He didn't like Ari, it gave away their location. The team-member to Shika's right nodded his head. Creating a clone of himself, he gave the hostage to the clone,and went after the bird. He watched his comrade go after the bird before turning his head,and made sure that Kenta wouldn't wake, or that he wouldn't go slamming into tree a branch.

Ari screeched pained as the ninja slew her. Kenta couldn't wake but e could feel the loss feel heavy and sad. he slowly opened his eyes, even though he could see nothing. he wasn't awake it was just a sign of the damage done to is head as the blood flowed inside the skull putting pressure on his brain. he was staring to forget. everything was slowly slipping from his grasp.

For the rest of the trip, everyone was quiet,and in an hour or so they arrived at their home. Fellow ninjas, as villagers cheered them on, and they smiled triumphantly. The leader of the Shoko ninjas came up to Shika, and his group. "What happened to the others?"He asked.Shika sighed."They died in an explosion, but we did manage to capture some ninja."The leader nodded his head.'And this one needs medical treatment. Our task was to capture, not kill." Leader nodded his head and and whistled over a medical team. The team took Kenta,and rushed off to the hospital.

(mind if i jump a day or two to when he wakes up? most people don't wake up for a few days after)
kenta had a sever concussion and slight brain Hemorrhage. they honestly thought he wouldn't ever wake, even if his body was healed. there was no telling what part of the brain was damaged. the only hint they had was it wasn't the part that controlled body functions for he was still breathing on his own.

In the meantime, Shika was waiting in the waiting room to see if Kenta was okay. Even though he was from an enemy clan, he still wanted to make sure that the ninja was alive,and well. This sucks.If he dies this could get messy...Shika thought leaned his elbow on his knee,and placing his chin in his hand.

it felt like no time at all to him. kenta opened his eyes and stared striate up. where was he? who was he? two names floated into his head Kenta, and Ari. they seemed like a distant dream to him. he wasn't eve sure who the names belonged to. he turned his head to see a mousy nurse tending to the flowers.

"excuse me but are you Ari?" he asked making her jump. she rushed over to his side and check his vitals.

"N..no.. . my name is Sakura. you've been asleep for a few days how are you feeling?" he asked.

"i don't know. do you know who i am?" he asked right before she left to room to report he was awake.

She came out of the room,and went to Shika. Shika in the mean time fell asleep and Sakura had to wake him up. "Shika, he's awake you can see him now." Shika woke up,and looked at her. Nodding his head, Shika stood up and entered the room."I see your finally awake."He said sitting down in a chair near his bed. "Don't think that you're getting off the hook that easily either, even though your in the hospital, you're still considered a hostage." Shika said as if Kenta knew who he was.

"hostage? did i do something wrong?" he asked. looking at the man who came into his room. "are you kenta? or Ari? Ari is a girly name but i guess it can be used as a boys name?" he liked talking it made him feel like he actually knew something even no matter how hard he tried he couldn't remember a ting. "do you think they have any good food. that Sakura lady said i'd been sleeping for a few days and now i'm starving"

Shika was taken aback by Kenta's sudden loss of memory."Uh....t-the food's fine."He said a little confused."Can you hold on a minute. I'll get Sakura for you." The ninja then stood up,and left the room. After a minute of looking for the woman, Shika finally found Sakura. "Sakura, what happened to the man in the room you just came from."Sakura looked at him, and sighed."He suffers from memory loss." She said looking at his chart. That was one of the last thing he wanted to hear."What!He's practically dead to his team!"He exclaimed groaning.

kenta sat p ans watched the door. he had a feeling they were talking about him. he must have done something wrong. he closed his eyes and tried hard to remember. however everything was a blank. he opened his eyes again and looked over his body. he had scars, and lots of them. had he been a fighter? he wanted more then anything to remember. did he have family? or friends? was he kind? or mean? was Ari his girlfriend? or was he Ari? was kenta his brother? or was he kenta? he just couldn't remember.

"Well just talk to him,keep him company for now. I'll have someone call Leader,and see what we should do with him."Sakura said before handing him a tray."And he might want this."Shika looked at the tray,and saw that it was food. "Kay, I'll be in with him." Shika refused to say his name,since he could be of some use to the Shoko ninjas. "Hey. I'm back." Shika said setting the tray down infront of him." I talked to Sakura about your problem,and she might have someone help you." Shika said lying through his teeth, but he had to tell the kid something.

kenta saw the food and fully realize how hungry he was. he ate quickly not even leaving a scrap left. he then sighed., not completely full but defiantly felt better. "do you know if i have family? or a lover? i don't think i know you but i can't remember. Is Ari my lover? if so why isn't she here instead of you? and who are you?" he asked. he wanted to know everything he couldn't remember and so far only the man and the sakura nurse were his only links.

Shika sighed."I'm Shika,and I found you unconscious in the woods."He stated with a straight face."There was a fire, near where I found, you so where ever you came from, and who ever you knew my be dead by now." He stated sadly. Of course he lied, Ari was a bird that he had killed,and the fire was started by him, but Shika didn't want him to know that.

"i see...." he said looking down. he felt a deep sadness. he had a feeling that Ari had been by his side for a long time. tears filled his eyes but he wiped them away. "is it fine if i call myself Kenta? its the other name i can remember. even if it's not mine i need a name for now." he said looking over at Shika. "you said you found me yet before you called me a hostage. that doesn't' match up?" he pointed out. he was aether lying before or now.
