Shin grunted and quickly probed his body with her fingertips, searching for broken bones, fractures, lesions or sores. Satisfied, she picked him up and moved him away from the body that lay nearby, she didn't want him near it.

kai screamed as her pain worsened, the pain of feeling nick's life drifting away, of her eye and ribs, she couldnt move, so, she screamed louder crying while doing so. Her cat ears pressed back and tail angrily twitched, struggle as she might she was unable to move, unable to talk. She knew he would survive somehow, or at least she hoped he would.

Nick fell into a deep sleep, eye's closed it was a healing sleep as he began the wall. but soon he would wake up but he was trying to heal.*

Laying Nick down on a bed of cool moss beneath a tree she checked him again. She sighed. Unfortunately she had no healing powers, and least, not outside of her own kind. and since he was unconcious there was no way to make him accept medicine. There was nothing she could do for him.

Satoshi felt Kai squeeze his hand tighter. He would move her but he was afraid he might injure her even more.

writhing in pain kai let out another cry this time softer than all of the others, her eyes were closed and ears pressing against her skull with enough force to crack it "it hurts.." she whined tears streaming down her cheeks.

Satoshi not knowing what to do sits there holding her hand in hope that Hogarth or someone can find them and do something.

Nick slept for four days straight though some part of him kept trying to wake up as he felt Kai's pain. he struggled but he'd deplated himself in to many things to really get his body up and moving. so in other words he was a big...lump

after four days kai was able to move her pain though worsened, she stood to her feet pulling her hand free from satoshi's she looked down at him and lightly kissed his cheek "th-thank you for staying with me" she winced as she took in a small breath.

Kai sighed to herself walking over to where nick was and attempted to wake him, when that didnt work she nodded knowing he needed the rest and slowly sat herself down. She bit her lower lip and hard to the point that blood was slowly trickling from it, combined with the pain her eye was causing her and her broken ribs she was doing well-- at least she wasnt screaming

Satoshi was in a deep sleep. Not even an enemy approaching would wake him up.

kai blushed deeply noticing that he had been holding her hand while sleeping, thankfully she wasnt getting too attached to the traveler, kai was plotting on leaving, hopeing that maybe the distance would do her some good, maybe the sword's influence wouldnt stretch far..

Shin returned with more medicine for Kai, she had been playing nursemaid for all of them as best she could, providing care and food whenever possible as well as looking for Hogarth in her free moments. She couldn't travel far from the invalids however, and so far it had been in vain. The stress of her situation was beginning to show as the gradually became more and more snappish and lethergic due to lack of rest and stress. This was not a happy dryad.

kai smiled accepted the medicine and watched nick from a distance, she knew shin was becoming irritated but how would she help? he wasnt awake to answer any questions and kai wouldnt tell a soul anything until getting his permission first.

Satoshi finally awoke and saw Kai, Shin, and Nick in the distance. When he got closer he could tell Shin was stressed and he also saw her holding a lot of medicine.

"Shin, anything I can do to help?"

kai's tail flicked while her bones slowly reformed themselves, when they werent fragmented she stood to her feet holding a hand out to shin, i'll tend to nick, you get some rest, alright?" when kai spoke she spoke with authority and kneeled down next to nick lightly dampening a rag and pressing it to his forehead.

Shin sighed and nodded standing "I'm sorry, I can't rest yet. I've been neglecting my duties to care for the forest to tend to you, and Hogarth seems to have dissapeared. I'll keep an eye out for him, and I'll be back soon. Actually, if you need me just say my name, the tree's will pass it along." She gave them a nod muttered "Take care of yourselves." and stepped into the nearest tree.

Kai nodded "we will" she whispered lightly brushing the hair out of her brother's face, she fixed his braid and rested her hand against his face will he slept. She was worried but she wasnt going to wake him, no, not yet.

Hogarth Gripped his blade, sliding it back into his case. "A worthless soul in my blade." He said quietly. "But at least shes safe." he muttered so faint, only someone with super good hearing could hear it. He could care less if kai handled his blade. Only cared if she would be able to handle it like she did against the man earlier.
He decided to check its sharpness, looking at a small limb of a tree, he flicked the blade gently with his wrists as he swung it in a vertical motion, watching the thin tree bounce gently into the air, falling perfectly onto its old limb, and falling over.
"Maybe just a little more sharpening." He said, sitting down, and gently sliding a stone against the edges.
"Get up." He said to Kai, standing over her with his blade in his hand after sharpening the blade. "Its time you learned how to use my blade." He said, looking at her with an almost angry look.

Shin reappeared almost instantly with a scowl "There you are! I've been looking all over for you! Don't you dare make Kai stand. While you were off galavanting about we fought and she was injured! If you even care you'll be helping me care for her, AND Nick who was also injured, AND Satoshi who was injured even before that!"

Satoshi decided to go on a walk through the forest, but before he started he made a sort of ice beacon that glowed at the tip when he wanted it to.

she jumped up weary of his mood, she'd killed a man earlier and hardly wanted to test him. She knew her boundries, knew what she was now capable of "our blade" she corrected. her expression was dull, of listlessness, she was dulling herself of the pain, of the fact that her brother had attacked her against his better judgement, her ribs were still sore and she knew it "i know how to wield a blade.." she murmured.

Shin rubbed at her forehead "Kai sit, my medicines can only do so much. too much activity now may hurt your ribs again, it's too soon!" Shin groaned and ran her fingers through her brushlike hair, making a rustle as though of branches in the wind. "Please do NOT injure yourself again!"

"i wont" she whispered in a dull tone of voice, she sat back down and waited for hogarth's next command. She was in no mood to fight, she only wanted to obey, even if instructed to do something she thought was wrong.

"You can hold a blade, but you cant swing it carelessly."Hogarth said, trying to lower her a bit. "Thats how people get killed, and thats how the ones in my blade got killed." Hogarth said, throwing the blade at her, wanting her to catch it.

Kai fumbled a few times but was successful in catching it by the hilt, she winced feeling a strain in her ribs, this caused her to nearly drop the blade "spirits are already dead.. they cant die again" she whispered through her agony.
