(Satoshi never realized that Kai and Hogarth left or that Kai was pregnant.)

"i didnt see anyone" she sighed while looking up at the sky watching the clouds push by on their own "when i was coming here there was a really pretty cat woman leaving though" she shrugged feeling the water rush over her stomach and shoulders.

Satoshi looked up at Ai, suprised.

"She was leaving?"

"yeah she was holding her stomach like she was in pain or protecting it or something" she sighed never having really wittnessed pregnancy before considering the women of her family were all much older than she was.

"Was there someone else over there with a sword or was he gone too?"

"i didnt see anyone with a sword" she sighed "there was just a guy who was laying on moss and another guy who was very upset" when she spoke she spread her arms and legs out acting as thoguh she were in snow "i like it here" she whispered.

Satoshi lay back into the grass on his back and covered his face with both his hands.

"I guess it was only a matter of time before they ran off together." Satoshi muttered to himself.

"are you alright? you seem upset" she straightened herself up and swam to shore, she hovered over him looking into his eyes light dripping warm water onto his face

When the drops touched his face he felt them freeze immediately

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just can't believe she didn't say goodbye."

"did you like her?" ai was always very concerned for him,always protective, that sort of thing 'she didnt leave for good, i over heard her saying that she'll visit every day" she laughed looking satoshi in the eye with a concerned expression

"It's not that I liked her, it's that I'm worried about her."

Satoshi got up and put his clothes back on and fastened his sword to his waist. He moved his left arm to see if it had healed yet, which it hadn't, and pain surged through it.

"why?" she tilted her head thinking of how the woman had guarded her stomach in such a manner it surprised her, it was just a stomach, wasnt it?

Kai laid in bed with hogarth unable to sleep, he of course was sleeping soundly, she bit her lower lip and made it to the outside world, she stood at the threshold of the forest, planning to return just for a short time. She knew this was no longer her home, well not on the overworld it was, in the underworld, it was "anyone here?" she called out

"I don't know something about her just makes me worry."

kai sighed and decided that she should wait, she bit her lower lip watching while the moon peaked through the thicket of clouds cluttering the night sky

"is she mean? nice? In danger?" ai looked over at him slowly pulling her kimono back on but refused to do her hair back into the inscessent bun.

"She's nice, but most of the time she is always in trouble."

"maybe she left to keep herself and her lover safe?" ai offered slowly walking back into the clearing.

"I don't know, she's gone now."

Ai nodded then stooped looking at kai with a confused expression "no she's not she's sitting right here"

Nick heard Kai and left his friend to go to her call he paused when he saw her. "Kai.. what's wrong?" his voice was concerned as he moved up to her side.

"nothing" she smiled widely holding he stomach with obvious concern "i couldnt sleep" she confessed, her tone never wavering, she loved being able to visit her brother whenever she wanted "how am i going to do this nick?" she asked shivering at the thought of raising a child "am i ready for this?" tears began to stream down her face, she was obviously scared.

When Satoshi saw Kai he looked at her in astonishment.

"K...Kai, I thought you left?"

"no, i didnt leave" she smiled half through her frightened tears "i'm not going to be sleeping in the forest anymore, i have a home now" she points to the ground "i'm going to visit whenever i can" she rubbed her bare stomach looking almost horrified, the fear of screwing up someone's life spinning through her mind.

Satoshi looked concerned.

"Why can't you stay in the forest?"

"i.. cant put my child in danger every day" she struggled to bring herself to say such a thing "i'll be visiting but, i cant fight, i'm pregnant.."
