blinking once kaila sighed then smiled looking at Shin "Kaila la Morte Blackburgh but you can call me Kai" while she talked her tail swayed with a certain grace. She stared at Nick with a curious expression, althoguh she wanted to know if he was talking to her she said nothing but shrugged.

Shin nodded "I am Shin, guardian of this section of forest. The one you are keeping from attacking me, thank you by the way, is Concobhar of gaul. We don't know why he's here. And this is Nick, of we don't know where and we don't know why he's here. That," She pointed over at the child "Is someone related to Con, but we don't know anything about him either. So what brings you here?"

Nick nodded as his shoulders relaxed. not being forced to tell what he didnt' WANT to tell made him trust her a little more. though let her stick around him long enough she'd probably get the idea why he was so reluctant. Nick moved and sat down against the tree he'd placed his bag by letting hte two girls talk as he pulled his knee's to his chest and set his chin on them.

"just trying to get to the city.. i dont know why but i think i need to be there" she sighed but smiled shyly "i can wait though. You're welcome by the way, i dont mind helping.." She blushed ever so slightly from the embarrasement of being put on the spot "M-My name is Kai"

While all of the conversing was going on Con tried to sneak away into the forest, his brother followed.

"Welcome and well met Kai. My territory borders on the city, so I can direct you there whenever you choose to go. As long as you reside within the forest, collect only deadfall for your fires, hunt only for food, pollute not the water or the land and you may live here in peace." she gave a slight bow to Kai and looked towards Con and the child "Where do you think your going Concobhar?"

Concobhar just glared at her and kept going. Seosamh waved at her but cotinued to follow his brother.

Kai nodded "is the water good for bathing?" unwilling to smell herself any longer she blushed deeply, she refused to check into a hotel because each of them always say 'no animals permitted' she didnt know if that meant her or not, so why try?

watching Con go she smiled and ran up to the little boy handing him a blanket made from scraps of old clothing, this had butterflies, dragons and other mythical creatures sewen into it.

and im going quite cause i have no clue how to answer 'sigh'))

walking back to where she stood kai decides to sit down next to nick, smiling sweetly "i dont think we've met. What's your name? you look sad, what's up?"

(Get your character involved? All hes doing is sitting in the fetal position..)

Shin sighed again "You four will turn my hair white by the end of this and I'm only sixty seven." She stepped into a nearby tree and stepped out in the branches above Con's head. "You would make my job slightly easier by staying with the others. Where are you even going? My people will watch you now, until you leave the forest anyway, and you're miles from that."

Nick glanced at her contemplateing weather to trust her or not. "Nick.." he mumbled and then glanced at the others. boy their 'few' where becomeing 'many'..

((well i jump in then leave for a sec and we're several pages ahead XD lol))

Concobhar growled and swung upward leaping from the ground and grabbed a few smaller branches coming from the branch the nymph was perched on. He tore the small limbs from the tree trying to shake the girl off in anger.


(same happened to me .-. I have school now and noone waits for me.)

She held her hand out to him and smiled "i'm Kai" hopeing that he'll see her for who she is and not what she is "it's nice to meet you. Why are you here? you look like you're looking for something"

out of the corner of her eye she could see Con tearing the tree apart, so, she held a hand up and froze it in place, probably frustrating the brute.

Shin merely melted back into the tree and reappeared on another one nearby "What are you trying to accomplish Con? You cannot destroy the forest, and if you try it will retaliate. Why not intereact peacefully? If as you say you came from a war, then rest here with your child. I can feed clothe and arm you as long as you remain. What are you fighting for?"

"More like Running from something." he muttered in a dry tone of voice, he glanced as Con jumped up and begain shakeing a tree he sighed. well figured. "And that's mr personality.. "

"Because it;s probably all your fault!" He screamed then stomped off preparing to leave again. Seosamh clung to the blanket given to him and followed.

"hey!" she giggled "he spoke our tongue" blkkinking she evaluated the situation "do you want to tell me what it is you're running from? if not then it's okay i dont want to pry" she smiled twiddling her thumbs watching as con stomped away

(I only type it in english because Fires character speaks his language. Nick or your character wouldnt be able to understand him.)

Nick glanced at Kai and for a moment did want to tell her who and what he was running from she seemed so NICE. and she wasn't prying like theothers had.. well con hand't pried but then he was a tempermental barbarian.. 'yeah like I'm any better once wound up..' he stared at he ground. "My past I suppose.." he said cautiously. not exaclty openign up but giving her SOME clues anyways..

"i know how that feels" she sighed and smiled widely looking over at him "if you stick around me i can make sure we'll go to places where you're safe" unwilling to make him admit anything she tilted her head "you'll be safe here i think.. what you're running from.. is it horrible?" her interest was genuine, as well as her concern.

"What is all my fault? I saw you only after you entered the forest, and I followed you because I was bored and to insure you didn't harm the forest! I revealed myself to keep you from attacking Nick, then tried to disarm you to keep you from attacking me! Why not be peaceful? Or at least tell me what the problem is and I can try to fix it."

Con turned to yell at her, but before he said a word with a flash of bright light his form vanished...and suddenly appeared where he sat by nick and hour or so earlier in the same brilliant dissolving flash of light. Slight ripples in time could just barely be seen in the path of his travel, appearing almost like the distortions that appear over blacktop on a hot day. He was dizzy and a tad nauseous, his eyes rolled in his head a little before he rubbed his head felling an oncoming headache. The typical symptoms of being kicked back in time about an hour or so.

Kai looked over at Con hands up ready for him to attack, she looked at Nick and smiled sweetly but worriedly
The bright flash caused her to see spots which ultimately resulted in her groping the air to try and touch them.
