kai and unknowingly fallen asleep, she yawned and stepped out of the hole to find herself in a dark, unknown forest, she blinked a few times in an attempt to clear her vision "nick..?" she called out feeling the air in front of her face.

Nick didn't respond as he stalked through the woods though he sent a wordless 'calming hand' to his friend and adopted sister through mind touch.

kai of course shrugged this off and continued to follow him, to find him if possible "nick!?" she shrieked this time through her words shot through his mind telepathically as well as slicing through the night air.

Nick yelped and fell from the tree he'd climbed, twisting he landed on all four paws and snarled. he was NOT happy with the sudden pounding migraine ripping through his skull.

kai of course heard the thud and frowned, she bit her ower lip and found him, she tripped over his form and landed on her stomach "owie.. please tell me that's you nick" she whispered.

Nick snarled. You didn't have to shout like that.. that HURT.. okay yeah he was whineing. so sue him.

kai winced "i didnt know i was yelling.." she sighed her ears ringing profusely, when this happened something was going to happen, someone was going to get hurt, it was either that or her body was eating itself away due to the lack of sleep.

Nick shifted human. "Go to bed Kai. I have to much energy to sleep I'll be fine. I'm just wandering hte forest to work off some energy.. I'll be in in a bit."

kai shook her head "but i'm not that tired" she complained holding her suddenly upset stomach, she shivered then nodded "alright" she shivered looking down at her suddenly changeing physic. This was different but nothing to be alarmed about.

She shrugged and grabbed herself something to eat, as well as nick and satoshi, after she brought it back to their joint home she was suddenly repulsed by the food, she shook her head and attempted to take another bite when vomit threatened to slither up her throat "great, i think i'm getting the flu" she whined.

Nick didn't go back to the hide out. but paced in the forest. his mind working on a dozen problems at once. problems where good to distract people.

kai waited for nick to return, when she got bored she lifted her shirt up to reveal her slightly swollen stomach, she'd been eating more than usual so of course she would gain weight, but this early? she shrugged it off and whispered to nick are you coming home soon? you're really worrying me..

Nick huffed. And what would I do there besides drive everyone else nuts? he shook his head. thanks but no thanks. there was always just one more problem just around the corner. always.

as long as you come home eventually.. i guess she sighed running a hand back over her stomach unable to figure out why he was acting this way, other than the fact that she knew it must have been her fault, wasnt it always? did i do something wrong?

Nick felt as if he'd been slap and mentally gave her a 'hug'. 'NO you did Nothing wrong. this isn't your fault..' his mental voice became a bit more softer. 'This isn't your fault Kai Im just.. I'm moody.' boy was THAT an understatement of the century.

she nodded and mentally hugged him back okay she smiled to herself curling into a fetal position, she hadnt understood why her brother was so moody, or why she was suddenly gaining weight, nothing made sense to her, not yet.

Nick was moody because it was becoming THAT time of the month for him. and as with anything that was a 'breeding' male, and thus not a female, it was always twice as hard on him going into heat. a version where he needed a err.. mate. He paced under a tree muttering his shoulders hunched. how many times had he run from Ray when this time rolled around? Once.. twice.. a dozen times to try and keep himself free of the man at least in that sense? sighing he sat down under a tree and rubbed at his face. it could be worse he could still be enslaved fully to RAY, who was now dead...and end up the mans mate. ugh.. he'd rather cut his own throat.

Fifteen Years Later.....

Nick stood outside the house he had built in his forest. his forest. what a strange term. but his was where all the lost came to start new. there where small community's where people now lived. and he watched over them all he lived, on a mountain side over looking the forest.
In his arms he held an infant. his daughter. her name was Rose and she was only Nine years old, just because his uncle was dead didn't mean he hadn't run into trouble. quite a few actually. and without his 'adopted' sister there to keep an eye on him trouble had defiantly found him. but he'd gotten better at fighting and no longer froze up. now he was a guardian. and a parent. stressful times. joyful but definitely stressful.

kai smiled and stepped through the portal, her age rate was slowed as well as her children's. They were meant to outlive their mates by hundreds of years, which, kai was starting to realize, she shivered attempting to figure out how to prolongue her husbands life "time to go see uncle Nick" Astella giggled jumping into the forest screaming his name

Yabi was next, when his sister screamed he shivered "calm down you're guna wake everyone up" he whined

Kai placed a hand on each of their shoulders "shhh, lets's try and find him" she giggled.

Nick heard the screams and turned glancing down the mountian. "What on earth.." he gave rose a push toward the cave. "Go in there you know the rules.."

"No leaving until you come back if someone comes hide and don't come out Yes mother I know.." the little spunky brat took off into the cave before nick could swat her on her butt, and he started down the incline to the ledge their house and 'cave' where on. reaching the forest floor he moved slowly. he had a quiver of arrows on his back and a sword strapped to his hip. as well as various knives on his person.*

kai was still dressed in her royal attire including a medieval circlet resting on her brow, she smiled while looking down at her little prince and princess, she'd changed. Her form has taken on a more motherly appearence, that's when someone lept out of the shadows holding a blade to each of them, wrong move. Kai growled low and deep roaring like an angry panther, her ears pressed back against her skull, this of course scared the man who had attacked him, he fled like a child "it's okay honeys" she scooped the three year olds into her arms while they sniffled and huffed, she bounced and rocked them "shh momma wont let anyone hurt you i promise"

they nodded and hugged her in unison. Having twins was a god send.

Nick saw the man and snarled. not another hunter. an arrow threw the heart took care of him as he went to see what animal he'd pissed off and came to a surprised stop. nick was dressed differently himself. a pair of tight dyed black deer hide pants hugged his legs and lower body and a lose shirt on his upper body. silver eye's blinked then. "Never thought I'd see the day where you was in anything but pants."

she laughed "where we live women are not allowed to wear pants" she mused looking down at her little girl who was of course wearing pants "we dont really listen to that though" she laughed "i'm considered a warrior woman' she giggled again staring down at yabi who was strokeing nick's pants "momma! he's furry!"

"nuh uh!" astella ran over joining her brother "yes is momma he is!" they each giggled "is this uncle nickky!?"

"yes" they instantly attached themselves to each of his legs "sorry about them" she laughed "they've been looking forward to meeting you for a few months now"

Nick nodded then. "You should come meet Rose just..Let me go ahead or she'll hide .." he was NOT looking forward to explaining how he'd.. gotten a child. nope not at all. he leaned down and detached the twins with a shake of his head. "Go by your mother little ones .. i need to be able to move.." he'd ask after her life.. later.

she blinked and smiled, yabi cried, he was a nervous little boy. He ran over to kai and jumped onto her back, he may be a child but, he was very strong.

Kai laughed and lightly patted his bum "honey it's okay, some people cant move with childen on their feet, your daddy and i are used to it"

Stella nodded and walked over to her mother "uppie please" kai nodded again and pulled the child into her arms "he's cute momma. Does he have a wife too?"

Yabi laughed at this "he's related to us dummy! you cant marry him!"

kai shook her head "no honey, he can have a baby too" she winked "he's a mommy and daddy in one"
