Castle Oblivion stood on a tall hill in the darkness. Twisted in shapes, shifted in awkward directions, the building was quite intimidating. The inside was just as mysterious. It was as surreal as could be, the walls, floors and ceilings snow white, and even slightly blinding. One who would enter, would imagine it as a dream. But to some, it could be a nightmare. However, there were no dreams or nightmares, for that is the way in Castle Oblivion.

Castle Oblivion was home to a group of beings, the name being Organization XIII, the beings titled "Nobodies". Each nobody of Organization XIII had their own room in the castle, customized to their interests. These rooms, however, were not pure white, unless that was what they wanted.

Axel was a nobody-- number eight in the organization, to be exact-- who stood tall and thin with extenuated bones that jutted out of his hips, elbows and knees, almost like a skeleton, a leather coat draped over. His flaming red hair stood spiked back down his head.

He strode into the kitchen, which was, like their rooms, adorned as a usual kitchen and not pure white. He reached into the ice box and pulled out a frozen blue treat on a stick.

Roxas was a nobody as well-- number XIII in the organization. He was of average height with and average build. Average everything he would tell you if you asked.

Roxas leaned in the kitchen holding on to the door frame. He saw the treat in Axel's hand and his eyes got wide and mouth dropped open. HE was the one stealing his pops? Axel sure was in for it. Roxas slithered along the kitchen so as not to be noticed, and when in the perfect spot, lept into the air to attack Axel.
"How dare you steal my most favrotist treat!" Roxas screeched like a girl, flying through the air.

Just as the salty and sweet ice touched his long tongue, Axel thought he heard a small step. His ears twitched, waiting for the next sound as he removed the icy treat from his lips.
The scream of rage did not startle the man, instead, flicking on his swift reflexes. He made a subtle swoop to the side, out of the flying boy's way.
Needless to say, the boy with the golden blonde hair managed to tackle the stone floor.

Axel leaned over him slightly, bending at the hips a bit. He licked the popsicle as he watched. "Way to go, little buddy." He murmured as a small smirk curled up on his lips.

Roxas saw Axel's slight step to avoid getting tackled. Noticing there was nothing to change his trajectory he hit the floor with a hard 'THUD'. His face smacking the hard, cold floor. Pain bursting in his mouth causing tears to form at the edges of his blue eyes.

Roxas saw the smirk on his lips. "Do you enjoy seeing me hurt myself? You big meanie!!"Roxas whined like a kid. Now, gimme back my icee pop. You know it's my favorite, yet you always take them." He said, glaring as mean as he could at Axel.

Axel raised one of his thin red eyebrows, while furrowing the other down. "A big meanie, am I?" He repeated. "Ooh, now, Roxas. Calling me a 'big meanie' isn't going to get you one of these."
He looked down at him and waved the frozen pop in front of the boy before taking another lick of it.
"I tell you what," Axel said. "I'll help you up, and we'll share this one, huh?" He leaned over again, and extended the gloved hand that was not holding the treat.

Roxas pouted at the way and crossed his arms over his chest, turning the other cheek. Yes, a big meanie. You have your OWN favorite stuff, so why do you always take mine? I just don't get it."He looked at Axel's extended and for a second before giving up and grabbing it. Fine. We will share, but that means share even. Not me only getting one bite."

"We'll see what happens," Axel said as he hoisted Roxas to his feet again. He held the ice cream to the boy's lips and let him lick it before taking it back and biting a large chunk off the top.

Roxas glared at Axel when he did that. Rolling his eyes and smirking he pulled the ice cream towards him and took a big chunk off too.
"Ha, see I can do that too!"
He smiled before eating the ice cream in his mouth.

Axel chuckled softly, wiping away a bit of the blue crystals that lingered on the boy's cheek from such a big bite.
He sighed and sucked on the sweet for a moment.
"I wonder if nobodies get brain freeze..." He muttered, looking down at the ice cream in his hand. He looked up for a minute, shook his head as he sighed and looked down at the ice cream again.

He smiled when Axel touched his cheek. He wouldn't ever admit it out loud but he loved it when Axel brushed against him, or guy hugged him. It just warmed him to the core.
"Hey Axel, I have a question.." Roxas asked kind of timidly.

Axel turned his head to look at Roxas. Secretly, he wondered if Roxas would describe brain freeze to him and admit he had it. Then, his curiosity would be solved!
"Hm?" He hummed, raising his eyebrows lightly towards Roxas, looking down a good foot and a half to look at the boy's eyes.

[[Do you think nobodies can get brain freeze?]]

"Well.." Roxas began, much hesitiaion present in his voice. "Why are we called nobodies when to someone we are somebody?" He asked with the curiousity of a toddler in his eyes.

[[I don't know really. I mean they DO have brains, so why not?]]

[[Well. Then can they get STDs? I mean, if they aren't really there, can a disease infect them?]]

Axel was silent for a moment, staring at the shorter one for a bit, then moving his gaze to stare into space. Soon, he realized that so many other conclusions were popping up in his head, ways the question could be taken. There were too many possibilities.
"Well... what do you mean, exactly?" He asked as he took a lick from the bottom of the ice cream as it began to threaten to drip down his hand.

[[How should I know, I did not make them up. nobodies I mean]]

"well.. for instance. Zexy is my freind, so to eachother we are friends. Uhm.. Sora our enemy. And you your my.. my- well you get my point." He said with a huff his cheeks retaining a slight pink tinge.

"Hm..." Axel hummed again, leaning against the counter, pondering this for a minute. "Strange thought, isn't it? That we nobodies can bring friends into our non-existent lives, yet... we lack a heart..."
Axel grew silent, thinking about the subject. He sighed. "Perhaps Demyx is the only intelligent one in the organization... Maybe he's right, and we do actually have hearts."
He licked the ice cream again.
"You'd have to ask Xemnas for a real answer, I suppose," He concluded, offering the shorter male the last bite of the sugar on a stick. "I do know... that you make me feel like I have a heart. And its one hell of a good feeling."

Roxas listened intently and smiled big at Axel's last comment.
"You took the words right out of my mouth Axel,"
He said smiling sincerely at Axel."I was just about to say that it is impossible for us to lack hearts; especially what with the way you make me feel all the time."

Axel grinned and ruffled the boy's hair, making it even more messy that it normally was. "Glad you feel the same way," He said quietly before moving towards the door way, leaving the boy with the rest of his favorite treat.

[[So, if we chose to bring in other side characters, who would you feel comfortable playing? I'm comfortable with playing anyone except maybe Zexion and Lexaeus.]]

Roxas smiled enjoying the contact from Axel. He hated to let him leave, but loved to watch him go."More than you know.." Roxas sighed after Axel left the room.

[[Yeah, it's cool with me. Zexion is the bessst!]]

Axel let his hand linger on the door way for a little while before letting a small sigh release from his lips and walking down the halls.
He turned into the main foyers of Castle Oblivion; the pale blinding white rooms. Each dark footstep he took echoed through out most of the castle, he was sure.
Roxas' question really made him think. Do nobodies really have hearts? Or can they really feel? He knew of two fellow nobodies who could possibly hold the answer to this curiosity: Xemnas, or Vexen. Not fond of his superior, Axel decided on the Chilly Academic. With purpose, he began to move towards his room.

He tapped on the door of Vexen's "laboratory", and heard within, a crazy man startle, and glass shatter. "Ggg.... ahh!"
Axel stood back from the door a bit, ready for a very angry blonde man to bite his head off. Sure enough, the door slammed open, and the wide eyed scientist leaped out.
"What do you want?!" Vexen growled. "Come to destroy more of my equipment with your bloody flames, or perhaps to melt me!?"
"Calm down, Vexen," Axel said. "Can I come in? I have a question for you."
Vexen stared at him, not saying a word.
"No fire, I promise," Axel stated.
After, Vexen held the door open for the tall, skeletal man to enter his study.

Axel moved forward, and sat on one of the hard chairs that rest off to the side. Vexen sat in his desk chair, at the counter. On the counter sat a variety of different shaped bottles, containing liquids of different colours. On the floor below his feet, lay shards of glass and a puddle of green goo.
"What is your question?" Vexen asked as he pulled his goggles over his eyes and began mixing liquids.
"Well... I know Xemnas has told us we nobodies don't have hearts, right?" Axel explained.
"Indeed..." Vexen responded.
"But... just because we don't have a heart..." he broke off for a minute, choosing his words carefully. "Does that mean... we can't feel feelings for other people...? Other nobodies?"
Vexen looked over to Axel with his bug-like goggles plastered on. After, he simply looked back to the liquids in his hands. "You've come to ask me a question about feelings?"
"...Well... yeah, I guess...." Axel muttered. "Could you go through this whole heart thing again for me?"
Vexen sighed and put down his glasses, turned to Axel, and lifted his goggles up to rest on top of his head. "When a person turns into a heartless, their heart splits. Their whole spirit and soul splits. Half of the person becomes a heartless, the other half, a nobody." He explained. "Because it is the heart that splits... I suppose, in theory, we do have half of a heart."
Axel looked at him. "So... say I have feelings for another nobody...."
"What do you mean by 'feelings'?" Vexen questioned.
"... He makes me feel like I do have a heart." Axel responded.
Vexen was silent for a while, and turned back to his combining of possibly very unstable elements. "I see." He said. The mad scientist said no more.
Axel sighed, figuring it was time to leave, and would probably be safe, regardless. He picked himself back up off the chair, and made his way to the dream sequence halls again.

Roxas sat there being able to hear a conversation going on but not being able to understand it. He shrugged and slip down the front of the fridge just sitting on the floor.
'I still didn't get an answer to my question.' He thought, slightly frustrated. 'But really, we have to have hearts. Right? I think we do. I mean it the only logical explanation.' He puzzled.
"we must have hearts...or I wouldn't feel the way I do about Axel..." Roxas mumbled, drilling holes into the floor with his eyes.

Closing the door behind him, Axel looked down to see Roxas. He grinned a bit before nudging the boy with his boot.
"Hey, sad face," He said playfully. "Finish your treat?"

Roxas looked up into Axel's eyes and grinned at him with twinkle in his eye.
"Hey. I'm not sad"He bounced on the ground with the glee of a little kid. "Uh huh. Can we go do something fun now?"

"You sure seemed rather sad." Axel explained, sweeping a hand over his flaming spikes to keep them back. "What do you think would be fun?"

"No.. just contemplating the question I have previously asked you."Roxas said matter of factly. "For fun.."He pondered, furrowing his brows together."I am not entirely sure Axel. Just fun. Do you have anything in mind?" He asked curiously.

[[*coughcough*BOUNCY BED GAME!*coughcough*]]

Axel chuckled, giving a light shrug. "Well, you know me," he began. "I get so much joy out of burning things to the ground." He smirked and winked towards Roxas. "But, you can't exactly do that, so it wouldn't be as fun for you."
