"Your welcome," Percival frowns at the brown door and then plucks a lit candle off the table next to him. "Tea calls for desperate measures." He places his top hat in his seat and opens the brown door, taking a stool and propping it open. He sighs and looks at the bare kitchen but slightly smiles when he notices a tea pot on the stove with water in it. He turns on the stove and brings the water to a boil. He then takes out two tea bags, and two tea cups from the shelf next to him. Percival pours water into each cup and plays teabags into each, stirring both of them with tiny spoons. He takes the tea bags out and drops them in the trash and leaves the candle in the kitchen as he turns around and brings the cups out. He holds out a cup of Veya.
|
"Why thankyou sir, I'm glad there's one brave person amongst us." She took the cup gingerly and held it to her nose for a quick inhale. "Oh how I do love a hot cup of tea to pick oneself up!" She grinned and brew some of the swirling steam off the top. It needs a bit to cool. she thought enjoying the rich aroma floating through the before dusty smelling air.
|
Percival nods in approval at her response and takes his seat once more. He takes a small sip of tea and slightly melts in his chair. He sighs in contentment and leans back.
|
Veya enjoyed the silence. The moment of peace was greatly welcomed, and Veya slowly began to sit the contents of the cup. The tea swished through her mouth and down her throat warming her significantly. She was refreshed and had forgotten about the one who was suposed to meet her there. She closed her eyes and let out a sigh of relief.
|
Percival takes out his watch and looks at the time. "I am sorry, I have to go." He puts the tea cup down and puts on his top hat. He adjusts his monocle and walks out the door.
|
"And just gone like that," Veya smiled, setting her cup down and strolling right out the door as well. It seems like the barkeep had the night off.
|
The cloaked figure woke up from her nap and looked around. The room smelled of rain now, and she could hear it outside. The human she had been talking to earlier had left--there was still no one at the bar, and now she was hungry as well as thirsty. With a stretch and a yawn, she repositioned herself in the chair and curled back up to wait out the night, trying to decide what was more tolerable, being hungry or being wet.

((Goodness, this took off well, Sorry I was busy yesterday, and was on only off and on.))
Reila smiled at the young lady who was dressed up. She turned around and made some tea for her and the other customer. She smiled as she turned around and handed both the tea they craved. She looked up and saw the young women walking in. "Hello there, may I help you?" She smiled and she motioned to sit there. Her red hair fell back into her face this time covering most of it. She grabbed her hair and pulled it behind her ear. She backed away a little from the counter to tie her hair in a pony tail. She heard another walking in. and waved back at his greeting. She moved from the counter to ask him if he wanted anything. "Hello, may I get you anything? My menu has no limits." She smiled her sweet innocent smile at the young man. She learned to keep a smile always with people, not those ones that could creep people out, but the home feeling smiles. She became really good at it. She felt like she needed to clean the tables around the Inn, but she would do that after she attended to the two new customers. Her tanktop was snug along her body, and her top hat bented a little as she looked down at the man. "Don't be afraid to ring for me, I'll be over before you can say two hogs in a pin." She smiled. She walked back to the counter. She went to grabbed for her wash cloths so she can clean the tables. She started at one and worked the other after. She was done instantly. She cracked her knuckles feeling statisfied and walked back to the counter listening to the two young girls conversation as she clean up a bit. |
((Yeah it did... 0_0 I was only gone for two days..))
The young man looked around, noticing how many people had come in just a while after him. He looked to the bartender, then back to the others. "You get some pretty good business, don'cha?" He said in the expected voice for someone his age, but it somehow had a hint of confidence in it. His elbows were placed on the countertop, giving him a comfortable and relaxed look. |
The cloaked figure looked at the young man curiously, then up at Reila, waiting to be noticed. She hoped water was free at this establishment.
|
Sitting in a dimly lit area of the inn, she hunched low under her table, hoping no one would notice a girl covered only in her underwear. She peered shyly over the table top, at each customer seated and standing. No one noticed her so far, as she had hoped, but she still feared being seen and offending anyone for her state of dress. She finally sat under the table and hugged her knees.
"This is so awkward..." Isica said to herself. "I need something to cover myself with before I'm reported for indecency." An idea crossed her mind. She scanned the room once more, this time for loose clothing and other items that their owners wouldn't notice missing. |
Once again, the cloaked being scanned the room, hoping for some sign of the barkeep, food, or just anything that looked shiny or otherwise interesting. What her eyes finally settled on was not edible or shiny, but it was certainly interesting--a human girl wearing far less clothing than was normal. And she did not exactly look thrilled about it.
The being looked down at her own black cloak. It was dusty and worn from traveling, but it was heavy and warm, perfect for a cold, wet night such as this one, and if one was small of stature, it would cover the body completely. She valued her anonymity, especially when humans seemed to have...reservations about her appearance, but she also genuinely felt bad for the girl, and compassion won out over concern for her own well-being. She had been chased out of establishments before. What would one more night sleeping in a tree, soaking wet, be? She slipped off of the stool and scampered over to Isica. Carefully, and with a small sigh of regret at "blowing her cover", she lifted the cloak off of her body and handed it to the girl with a toothy grin, for she was a dracon. Her feline-like body was covered in tawny scales, and a long, thick mane of golden feathers fell around her face like hair. Her ears were long and pointed, currently held slightly back in a gesture of embarrassment, and she had several blue markings on her face, the same color as her wide, youthful eyes. Underneath the cloak, she was wearing a simple black tunic and a skirt of dried grass that looked like she had made it herself. "Here you go," she offered up meekly, looking at her own clawed toes in respect for Isica's privacy. |
((Goodness, this took off well, Sorry I was busy yesterday, and was on only off and on.))
Reila blinked slightly at the new people coming. "Welcome! I have no limits to the menus and will get you anything." She sighed whipping her face. "I have my work cut out for me...maybe I should get some help." She mummbled to herself. She smiled and started to get everyone what they asked for and whipped the counter off. "I hope ya'll don't mind some music." She smiled and turned on the jukebox. It started to play free bird by Lynard Skynayrd. She started to clean a little while everyone was chitchatting. She made a few chats here and there and then went back making sure the place looked as good as it started out to be. She softly sang to the song, her voice placing in nicely with the singers. . |
The young dracon girl turned toward the innkeeper, happy for the distraction. She felt bare, vulnerable without the cloak. But she would manage, if the innkeeper was tolerant enough of her obvious differences. She perched aloft a free stool again and gripped the counter anxiously, hoping the innkeeper was also in charge of food and water. Once more, her tail swung carelessly with excitement.

((Goodness, this took off well, Sorry I was busy yesterday, and was on only off and on.))
Reila's wolf ear perched up towards where she was being called. "Yes, ma'am? Would you like anything.?" She gave the person her lovely smile. She sat the washcloth down and grabbed a glass to poor her the drink she wanted. "I have no limits, order whatever you like." She giggled. Her huge wolf tail swished side to side. . |
She perked up--perhaps this night would not be without food and comfortable sleep, after all. "Can--can I have some water?" she asked eagerly, hoping Reila was talking to her. She had learned to order water at establishments such as these. At first, she thought they served fruit juice, but she learned very quickly that not only did the juice they serve taste funny, but it gave her a headache and made her throw up afterward. It wasn't pleasant.
She hoped the water was free, and tried to work up the courage to ask if she could have any table scraps, or do an odd job in return for a meal. Inwardly, she cursed the world for relying on money for even the simplest of things like staying alive. |
(Meh, Gettin bored. It's hard to rp when most rper's aren't on as often.)
|
((Sorry, I've been busy, you can post and comeback couple hours or next day. I'm trying to post as much as possible. Someone could help that'd be lovely. Send me a message. I'm trying to get a job, and I've been helping lots of people. So I'm not home often. So do forgive me.))
Reila smiled and gave the lady water. "There you go hun, I hope its good." She swished her tail and turned to wash the tables after people started to leave. she hummed silently as she washed. Her hair kept falling into her face. So she finally took a rubber band and tied it back. "There, all better." She giggled. . ((I just realize my characters picture, is cuitting herself...OH WOW...She looks like that and outfit but not emo like that!!)) |
(Its more of there aren't enough people to rp with.)
|
"Thank you," she said, offering up a shy smile before taking the water and sipping it carefully. She was tired, perhaps too tired to ask for food; and she didn't like sitting out in the open, where all could see her rather unusual physiology. Too many questions to be asked there. And she never let slip the thought that at any minute she could be chased out with a broom dangerously close to her backside--it had happened before, plenty of times. Well, she'd be on her best behaviour here. Perhaps she could turn over a new leaf. If only her curiosity didn't keep getting her into trouble!
With a sigh, she leaned her elbows on the counter and watched the other patrons, wondering if any of them had anything shiny. |
Paige walked into a tavern looking around at the people she semi-smiled, 'this place is interesting...' she turned her almost lime green eyes to the person who seemed to be in charge, 'maybe i could get a job, i could use one' she was about to step forward when she suddenly felt shy, she ducked over and sat at a table shaking alittle, "what is wrong with me?' she muttered to herself then she quickly patted the top of her head "okay they didnt appear..."
|
The young man's eyes scanned around the room again for around the fifth time. The place was nice, but it's already beginning to lose it's flair. He brought his right hand around to the back of his head to scratch his scalp through the silky blue-ish hair. "This place needs some strobe lights at least or somethin to keep it lively." He said to himself in a grown voice.
|
Paige looked up she thought she heard strobe light, she laughed and stood up and walked around looking everywhere, her green eyes flitting from person to person, her pink skinny jeans made her surely stand out.
she continued walking around humming one of her favorite songs |
Arietta walked at a brisk pace through the dense forest, coming through the brush and out into the light again she sighed with relief. It had been some time now since she had been separated from her group. Looking around she notices a very old looking building walking up to it she clutches her odd looking doll. Brushing her long, dark pink hair out of her, light pink almost reddish colored eyes she flick them from left to right nervously as she enters the tavern. Brushing a bit of dirt from her dark skirt she continues to flick her gaze about as her pink and black boots make a soft clunk, clunk as she walks into the tavern.
Keeping to the shadowed areas, and avoiding the candle light Arietta takes a seat so as not to be spotted. Succeeding so far she lets another soft sigh of relief escape her soft pink lips. Continuing to clutch her doll, she eyes all of the people that were in the immediate room, seemingly not a threat she attempted to blend into the shadows and proceeded to pick at her black sleeve, with pink trim, nervously with her other pale slender hand that was covered by an identical sleeve held on securely with brown buckles at the top of each. |
Dom walked through the woods ,and clutching his sword ,to be safe..Dom had always been afraid to walk into the woods ,alone..Dom was sweating just a bit ,and had a little fear on his face ,thinking what might happen to him in the woods.
