Viper blinked, unnerved by the laughter of the man nearby. Until he saw what was inside the train, an officer of some sort and Rin tensed a bit. In general law enforcement was not friendly to their type of activity and slowed he looked to Fang, clearly giving the more .male the right of way to go ahead first
"Two for Berlin, sector A3, boarding on car C.", the officer spoke half intent on confirming that the two were in fact correctly boarding and half to log their entry with whatever laid on the other end of his obvious earpiece, "I'll need fare, complete prints, and anything on your person that could result in legal concerns. Any goods are under national law and subject to termination without fine". His voice was a booming bass that shook their ears as the Enforcer leapt up from his seat on the arm of the bench and yawned. As he reached into his hooded shirt, Fang withdrew the small silver coin and approached with both palms up so that when he got close enough to grab the man pulled him in hard and plucked the coin away before offering the clipboard he held and pushed Fang's thumb on the screen. He repeated for the man's fingers and did the same with mild force as Fang offered the other hand and was set free. "Any goods that are subject to law.", the man reminded him as he delved to his belt and withdrew what was now a snub nosed revolver with no chamber.
Fang threw the small gun to the ground and continued on with two hunting knives and a pouch that held all of his exposed ammunition before admitting another of his viced goods with a soft tone, "Also we are handling two scatter shots for trading purposes and a little souvenir from one of the young delinquents that found our car for vandalism". Fang took, painstakingly, a large piece of PVC tubing, a rattling thing that he himself had built in case of trouble, and handed it gently to the officer with a sigh. "There. That one needs be dismantled by the proper authorities, but I want this to be taken care of. We are simply aiding the merchan-...", Fang grunted hard as he was yanked forward by the offered shotgun. Stumbling to his knee he cursed and looked at the other, "Well, there. Fork over the other piece of merchandise and lets board, Vince. No need to keep this nice man waiting....". |
"Oh ah yeah.."Viper stroke up and quickly offered up the gun in his own hand. He hated to part with his weaponry but if Fang did it he supposed he'd have to as well. Not that he thought the officer would have the desire to frisk him and find th thin blade strapped to his inner thigh under the loose pants.
He almost felt bad for Fang- key word being almost. he was nervous about getting on a train minus his gear. |
Nodding, the young man still on his knees looked up and growled. As he watched the cop he added, "There. Anything else?", to the response of being pulled up by his collar and escorted on to the cart with a light frisk of his hips to his shoulders and back to his boots in a straight line no farther out than his outer arm. As he stood and waited he thanked his luck for the ignorance of the one thing he had not discarded still stuck along the inner rim of his hood. Stiffening the collar as he walked, a pair of derringer handguns rest in wait for the time that they might still be needed. Once inside it was obvious that they were alone and that the train was identical to the one he'd seen before.
"Passenger Logged, name Roland Deschain, identifier 73326. One trains running south to Berlin are one way admittance. No return access is allowed. Thank you. Passenger Logged, name Roland...", the cheerful robot in the speakers echoed herself and chimed as he took his seat amongst the dust-covered pleather seats in wait for the other who might well have found his own tricks and encouragement to maintain. |
Sure enough he kept his knife and slid over towards his companion with a smile. So many things had happened today, enough excitement to have him stroking his charm necklace again. "So... how long till we get there?"He asked curiously, sticking to Fang like glue since he was completely out of his territory here.
Hell from here on out he didn't know jack about anything except his own physical limits and equipment. Which really sucked, honestly he couldn't have gotten himself into a worse situation if he tried. |
"To the next checkpoint?", he spoke quietly as he watched the man collecting their stuff and growled in hatred that he could not speak more until all was taken and the man could leave contented with both of their fingerprints and all of their gears in tote, "To the next checkpoint under Berlin, ten minutes or so. But we cannot let that happen either way". Fang nodded to himself and growled the explanation to the one he had stolen away, "When they said 'no return services' they mean that you can never leave. The entire city is considered lethally infected by the UN's call and so once we arrive they are going to check us there as permanent members and test our blood. If they find out that you are clean they'll know I lied about merchant running and they'll kill you. What's worse...". Fang sighed heavily at the idea and pulled his fat silver phone out of his pocket with haste, flashing the screen for a moment before he turned it to face the other. On the screen was a picture of his face and a six digit number amounting to a huge sum that only paled as the one below it showed his personal bounty as well. "Between damage prevention and the bounty they have, I am a poor man's dream. They could kill us both and split the f*cking bounty fifty odd ways and still all buy their way out of the national media. If we let them check us at the entrance to Berlin we are both dead.", he scowled, "So we need to get our stuff back and handle anyone who would recognize us before we arrive or we're dead meat. If we can get you into Berlin without dieing you are going to be taking the identity records of one of our street rats who got ex'd, so you will be safe, figuratively, if we can just get you in."
"If we can get me in."Viper sighed and noodded softly, leaning into Fang a bit. He was already used to acting friendly with the man so pouring on a bit more affection for whoever might be watching them. "You sound like you've done this before. Got some sort of a plan?"He whispered, leaning tiredly on his 'friend'. It was all an act while they chatted. Truly he hated the idea that his death could possibely be upon him.
Fang placed an arm around the other and let him lean in as he did, "Yes. If we can kill the German Nats on here we'll be able to leave the tram without fuss from the front car just when we are pulling in. The computer has us on assumed names, so if we can get the print log that we registered in we should be able to escape like ghosts". Fang's hand caressed the other man's side ever so gently as he stroked the soft fabric of Viper's shirt to and fro while he spoke of how they would escape, his hand working ever more until it found a sensitive spot to begin drawing on with the tip of his index finger. "Its your call if we should go in and try to take these bastards out or try to find that one guy, but they have all of our stuff in lock-down by now and Corp's shotgun would be... Well, its your call. The train is in seven parts, we are in the center, and if there are three or so their patrol should be like this". Fang's drawing continued as he repeatedly marked out seven squares and traced his finger around clockwise in perfect time so that it still looked like a lover's stroke, "What'll it be?".
Rin blushed softly, burying his pink tinged cheeks in Fang's shoulder. Just like a shy lover would. Except he'd never been a shy lover, only seen the gestures and the looks on other faces. And he couldn't let this simple touch distract him. Sticking with their charade he smiled, as if the man's words had been something cute or funny.
"Can't have our prints out there- but things will be easier with our gear. I couldn't keep anything that would give up advantage. Lets get the stuff first , and if we meet him on the way.." Timidly he pressd his lips to the others neck, a ghost of a gesture of a young man whose intimate expiriences were severely limited. |
"Just so we get them before we leave.", Fang smiled wickedly at the gesture and purred as he let his next works come at a normal voice so that he could be sure to intend his point. Gently moving away from the other and standing he offered a hand along with the deeply voiced tease of, "Although, I may soon be addcted if you must continue to be so much a flirt". He laughed at his own jest and began into his pocket as he offered the other his help so tha the could find the pack of smokes and a better source of stress-relief than the simply desired show of his own brand on hazing. This man was cute, but not truly his after all to be trained.
Rin did his very best not to blush as he rose from the seat, his mind starting to drift away from the charade of affection they'd inacted to focus on the fight to be had. "Flatterer, I'm nothing special. But of course thats why I'm here."With a smirk he glided closer to Fang and winked, pressing close enough to the man to reveal the blade hidden somewhere no guard would attempt to search. A blade he couldn't just retrieve easily.
Fang felt the boy's body pressed against his, the firm mind not thinking to feel the cold metal against his skin through all of the cushioned fabric that they both shared. It was neither thought nor felt that anything else but they were there or that ether would be concealing more than himself and when his hands did indeed begin to spark for a nearer touch it was again for nothing more than his folly. Fang turned on his hip and tucked one hand around the boy's neck, draping his palm on Rin's back, while the other snaked around his comrades hip and tucked inside the curve of his upper leg to a pleasant surprise. Purring as he touched that flesh, half-expecting his original goal even now for all the hardened steel, he gently played along that surface until a slight snap dropped the piece and confirmed its non-anatomical nature.
Fang pushed Rin back and slid his foot into place beneath the gangster's leg so that when the knife fell it did so with a light 'thlunk' of sharp steel on leather hide in the barrel of his shoe. That knife's edge just barely missing his leg, the gruff male slid from above his hood and drove his lips to the other as he kissed him once and spoke without pulling more than an inch back, "No time. Reach in my shirt back, get a gun, trade later", before repeating the gesture and praying his comrade would raise as little fuss as he could. |
Rin shivered, kissing fang back deeply in more than just the play to get their weapons free. No he figured that if he was going to possibely end up dead why not enjoy the little time he had to explore his own wants and desires.
He felt the knife slip and moved into the next kiss, understanding those words for what they were. His hand crept up Fang's back, under the hoodie where he caressed the males spine and higher until he skillfully freed the small gun and slid it into his sleeve. On the way back his fingertips danced down Fang's spine without a thought to how intimately they were positioned. Kinda hard to think lusty thoughts with impending death in the future if they didn't suceed in their self assigned misssion. |
Fang shook very lightly against the touch and fell more passionately into the games that had gotten leaps ahead of how they had meant to be. His hands stroked once and twice and gripped the other's pants as he held him close at hand until his senses could finally pry him free with a slight nip of tease on the other man's lips and a short sound of disappointment for the time they would lose. He drew back and back for a long moment's wait and looked past his friend as he finally spoke the words of his own betrayal. "Thanks. viper.", his voice distant before he blinked it all away, "Now, we need to get the hell off of this tram and get our shit. Head forward and get the fucker with that pad and maybe our gear? Or should we sweep the south-end for other cops first? Maybe hit up the baggage cart for our guns?". Sometime between their first kiss and his stealing that knife even Fang had lost his nerve to call the other man's shots, "This can be your call since I'm just here to escort."
Rin nibbled his lip softly, still savoring in one corner of his mind the kisses they shared. "I'd feel safer with my stuff. I can fight bare handed but... not very well. Yeah.." Escort. The word made Rin blush deeply, squirming as he tuckd his hand and Fang's gun into his pocket. "Baggage first.."
Fang nodded gently at his comrade and started back toward the posterior of the train. The aisle of seats on either side lurched as the tram struck turns that sent the handles overhead swaying to and fro above them. The trams' tiny windows saw from their car to the next and showed nothingness in the place where they would be. As he stared with a great deal of doubt at the place they would be, Fang slid the door's emergency latch just far enough to catch the handle without sending the alert and slid the door back with a gentle call. As the sounds of the other empty car slid through the door Fang purred, "Stay low, Viper, and just make sure we aren't seen from the front of the car.", and started onward.
"Righto."Rin whispered, following his escorts instructions as the continued onto the next car. He was good at sneaking, that he was confidant in- but ineverything else he felt a bit underskilled. He had a feeling they needed their stuff to get out of here relatively unscathed.
Fang stayed in a half-crouch as he entered the next cart, standing back to his height as he strode onward and checked the empty lurching cart with an eye of caution as he went one more and then another to find the final door labeled 'City Personnel Only' closed firmly and welded of entirely too thick steel. The huge bolts on its frame held the behemoth door together but seemed also to make a bit of humor in the fact that the hinges now beneath Fang's gaze were simple bolts with half-inch pins like any door of the common use. "Head's up, man. Just gotta get us in and maybe we'll find some useful 'baggage'...", Fang purred as he slid the carbener bearing his keys from his beltline and placed the bottle-opener's narrower end to the bottom of the first pin without hearing the footsteps that were lightly approaching from one car back with unseen business in the same room that they now tried to access. Approaching from where they had been, the civil police grunt bore only his utility belt and standard pistol along with an oversized city hat and a magazine of lewd intent that held his interest only so long as to let him raise his eyes just as he entered the cart now shared by three.
Vipers eyes darted to the male and the slender male slipped away from his escorts side. This wouldn't take long, his steps were light enough that by the time the man might have seen that there were 2 passangers breaking into a restricted area instead of one Rin lashed out with brutal efficiently and snapped the males neck. Stealth was his best friend, only the magazine made a sound as it fluttered tot he tram floor. Rin caught the body aand set it aside, pilfering him of important items.
"Almost done?" |
Hearing the sound behind him as the first pin struck the ground, that dry snap followed by the wheezing strike of air, Fang turned his head and raised one arm to his throat as he watched the scene with a surprising sense of joy. Seeing the situation in his favor and favoring the situation that had granted this scene as it were, Fang gave a soft grunt of, 'thanks', before returning to his work with the next pin sliding out to reveal a gentle wobble on the door that almost sprung the alarm as he caught its shaking lower half by the central handle. "Just gotta...". Fang pulled hard on one of the unlatched hinges and tore the aluminum wall-plating free with it so that he could hold the screw-bearing bit of aluminum to the door's upper rim and censor the touch pad as he turned the door downward and growled, "Just give this bastard a good push and we should be able to pop the lock out without too much trouble. Just gotta keep this bastard on the sensor or we're screwed". He'd broken in to countless doors just like this and seen countless times the ease of sliding a deadbolt when the door hung as it did now with half its weight untethered. Whatever that room did or did not hold of theirs, it would soon be shown.
"Just give it a push?"Viper gathered what he could off the fallen guard and slunk over to Fangs position. Oh they had to be careful wiith this one or 2 peashooter, a knife and a lone hand gun wouldn't save them. "Tell me when to push it I guess you know this stuff better than me."
"Just a bit, kid. Now just give this piece of shit a good hard push and make sure you don't throw me off. This piece of metal leaves that pad without the door being closed and we're both f*cked.", Fang looked back at the guard on the posterior of their efforts and saw the blood pooling at the edges of his lips as he cooed, "You're not bad at this. Gotta let Sweet P know about you... B*tch is gonna flip about that". No bruises, no disjointment. If not for that stale blood still shimmering from death he would have thought the man was simply snuffed under or even better asleep. This Viper he'd been sent for was actually well worth the trip after all, "Whenever you're ready, kid."
"I'm ready man, as ready as I'll ever be." Whispering softly he gave the door a firm push, taking Fangs warnings about the security alarm. He didn't really care about the guard behind them, he'd killed like that before and after so much blood on his hands Viper had learned that emotions were what got people like himself killed in situations like this.
They had more death to bring about, none of the men here who'd seen their stuff or had their prints could leave this train alive. |
The door cringed once with a low hum of stressing steel and then popped hard as Fang fell headlong until his foot slid inward to catch his fall and the door shot open with force enough to sent one bag tumbled through the air as the steel met its top. The room inside was empty save one bolted-down chair, a small television tuned to foreign dramas, and a small plethora of bags with exempted tags and a few current ones that must have belonged to the others who had boarded before them. The room bore boxes of packing peanuts and tiny black boxes, suitcases of personal goods, and nothing more. Standing in the doorway with no knowledge to what may be in each and every useless bag, Fang stared at the small mess and sighed; "Come on, then. If we're going to dig through these we must do it now and damn fast. Just slam the door on this and I'll turn the catch so you can look through them while I go up front; Or else lets go and we'll try elsewhere as we head forward.", his face was impatient as it hung above the protection of his lowered hood. There was no time to be standing about for decisions.
"Lets hurry then, search this stuff and get moving if we can't find our things or something helpful. "He hurried in and shut the door quickly and moved in a flash to his goal of seeking out there things. "Go on ahead if you want, I can hold my own as long as the rest are like that guy. Rifling through the bags he still hadn't found their stuff, but a few useful things were present.
