Caryline took Ivan's hand and pulled herself out as the shadow figures closed the gap. "Hellions.." she muttered to herself. She tried tl fight the feeling she was having and grabbed Ivan's hand and began running, pulling him along.

"Seventeen yards! We must get seventeen yards away from that dead spot!" she yelled back at him.

Ivan nodded and started to run. Soon he was dragging her along and he picked her up into his arms and continued to run. He didn't have to could yards since when he was on the gorund he could feel how far away he was to something. He stoped running when he hit 18 yards since he wanted to be a safe distance away from the dead spot. "we are far away now" he said and he wan't even breathing heavely. "and sorry about picking you up, you weren't moveing fast enough to keep up with me."

Reaching the door, Sieben gently pressed one of the large wooden slabs open just enough that she could slip her lithe body out between the crack. Once outside, though, the child was greeted with a sight that made her large green eyes blink. Just a hop, skip, and a jump away was a huge, swirling black mass. A roar was emitting from it, though Sieben wasn’t exactly sure if others could hear it or not. Her sensitive ears could pick up on a repeated chanting voice, though she wasn’t sure exactly what it was that the wraiths were chanting.

Sighing, she started forward, head bent slightly to keep the darkness from her eyes. As she moved, there was a clear disturbance in the swirling black mass; it shuttered and seemed swirl in one direction and then the next. And without so much as a problem, Seiben walked right on through the eye of the storm. The darkness seemed equally drawn and repulsed by the child.

Like an angel of destruction, Seiben appeared on the other side of the Hellions, visible to all. Oh, and how she must have looked to them. Her messy hair, dirty peach skin, and tattered dress, leggings, and sandled feet. The claymore on her back made it looked like she had been crucified by it.

Reaching upward, the child unsheathed her sword without some much as a problem, despite the fact even grown men had trouble wielding such a weapon. The blade arched through the air as if weightless. Then it tip struck the ground like a clap of thunder. The Hellions shuddered and withered; their shrieks like banshees rising up into the air. Seiben’s face betrayed no emotion as she began to walk, creating a line in the dirt with the tip of her claymore. Once the line was some yards across, she paused, replaced her weapon on her back, the dainty child moved to stand directly in front of the Hellions. Placing her hands on her small hips, she stared up fearlessly at the creatures.

“Don’t cross the line.”

The words were carried on a high, girlish voice that were with odds with Sieben’s solemn face. And they were deadly serious. But what was even more odd was that the wraiths seemed to obey. Heck, they even seemed to cower. And with that, the blonde turned away and began walking towards the two people, a man and woman, who had ran away.

“I leave the rest to you, priestess. Don’t screw up.”

Name: Raindrop (called teardrop by her family)

Weapon: A two edged sword on her back, 2 concealed daggers, and pioson throwing darts.
Short Bio: Her parents died protecting her from a hell decendent that wants her as his mistriss and was shuned by her family because of it. Now she's always running still being hunted down by the hell decendent.
Additional: The reason for the hell decendent hunting her down is because of her beauty. she was blessed with a glowing beauty by the water lord himself but to her it is a curse. nothing good has come of it.

Raindrop ran as fast as she could. She barely had gotten away that time. she had to hide and fast. She kicked her running up a knotch and closed the distance to the small village. Hoping something would be open she ran into the first public building she saw. barelling into the small shop she bent over trying to catch her breath. "Ma'am are you alright?" the shp keeper asked and Raindrop bolted up right startled. releaved it was the shop keeper her features softened. "do you have a chaple? church? holy ground?" she asked knowing that was her only refuge. " yes, its up the hill. are you sure you are alright?" "yes, thank you." raindrop said and flashed a smile and left.

Walking up the hill she shaded her eyes and swore she saw to figures on the hill about 18 or so yards away from the holy ground. Wondering what they where doing she started walking again hoping and praying it wasn't the hunters after her. But soon she saw that they where mear people like her, all standing close to the holy ground. Until she saw their expressions she had a good feeling but now her heart droped something was wrong. "whats going on? is something wrong? Do you need help?" she asked startling them all. but that was a normal reaction she was after all a long ways away from the ocean or any water for that matter.

Caryline doubled over and gasped. "It is perfectly okay." she said, panting a bit. She looked up and froze, not believing what she saw. A girl, young, at least twelve or thirteen, standing in front of the mass, challenging it. And winning.

She stood up with a bolt and and checked her surroundings, noticing everything that she could. Ivan was standing next to her, he hadn't yet come to the realisation that the girl was there. Then noticing a new girl that had just arrived, asking to assist them. The priests at the chapel door had fled to the other side of the church.

Without a moment of hesitation she grabbed Reich and ran to the Hellions, ready to destroy the scourge. Her hands tightened around Reich and she spun around to face the mass. It responded to her pressence. The mass swirled and expanded, almost collectively becoming violent.

"You shall return to wence you came." she shouted, bringing back Reich and striking the ground. She brought up her hand and drew two fingers to her lips. "To hell, you shall return."

From Reich a light emited brightly and engulfed the Hellions, fading shortly and revealing a single darkened figure.

"You cannot prevent what is to come, young priestess!" it screamed at her, "You have yet to defeat me."

The figure rushed her and sunk a claw deep into her chest. "You will die here." it said as she fell to her knees.

Right when Ivan saw Caryline get hurt he could feel the earth starting to move more under his feet and hear the animaling yelling for him to do something. "she will not die" he said as he looked at the Hellion. The earth around it began to move as if it was a life and slowly it looked as if the ground was eating it up. "you shall forever be incased inside the earth. you will never harm anyone else and you shall die in darkness." he said as he walked over to Caryline and gently picked her up so that he could get her help. But he kept his eyes on the hellion as the earth slowly consumed it and it dissappeared.

Raindrop stared horrified at the hellion. Someone had tampered with the holy ground and she was scared it was because she had came. Did he know that she had fled to this village? But she put that out of her mind as she watched the guy picked up what looked like a priestess. She only knew too well that pioson could set in the wound if she didn't get to a healer and fast.

"Excuse me," Raindrop said and bowed to the guy," My name is Raindrop. Umm... That wound needs to be looked at by a healer right away. Pioson could set in from the hellion's touch...And she could die in a matter of hours." She looked at him and then the vanishing hellion and grabbed her hands as she began to shake. This had happened to her parents but they hadn't servived the hellion's incounter.

" Umm... Will you need any more help? I'll be staying for the night and could help if you need any...If you want.." she said not sure she should stay but she didn't want to go without seeing this girl through. She wouldn't let anyone die like her parents did if she could help it. But by the look of things the guy had things covered. He had after all defeated the hellion and trapped it under the earth. She only wished she was that brave..she always ran from that short of stuff conserning hell...

Ivan shook his head "no, I know what they can do and how to heal her" he said then layed Caryline on the ground. He looked at the wound and growled a little bit. He had traveled for so long that he knew exactly what to do. He quickly cleaned the the area around it and when ever he needed a herb or something they seemed to grow right next to him. He didn't really knowtis at first since he was concentrating on the wound. But soon it was all cleaned up, all the poison was out and bandaged up. "she should be okay" he said as he finally let himself relax.

"good but lets make sure she wont scar.."raindrop said gently and pulled out a water pebbel and rested it over the bandaged wound and made a smooth exact movemt with her hand and the pebbel glowed. She returned the pebbel to its pouch and said quietly,"i'm sorry I couldn't help more...I'm afraid I don't know where the inn is...but i'll find it...it was nice meeting you.."she said and stood. She didn't know what to say any more. She wanted to help with all her heart but with the hell decendant after her the best way to help was to leave.

Ivan looked at the girl who had siad that her name was Raindrop "I know where it is and my name is Ivan" he said as he stood up and gently picked up Caryline into his arms. He handled her with such care and gentalness that it was hard to believe that he had just made the earth eat up the monster. "if you follow me I can take you there." he said as he looked at the girl and smiled "and thank you for what you did for Caryline."

Sieben had nearly reached the two when the priestess took off to finish the hellions. Stopping just short of the male, she watched as a new woman appeared, though the lass really wasn’t all that interested. Instead, she watched the priestess, however, she was quickly disappointed in what she saw. Sieben shook her head at the woman’s folly as the wraith pierced her through with a claw. “Idiot.” The child murmured, shifting her position, lifting her arm, readying herself to jump into action.

But it would seem that the girl wasn’t needed, for the earth engulfed the creature; swallowing it like the maw of some huge beast, and sealing it beneath the crust. A flicker of emotion passed over Sieben’s face, though it quickly disappeared. Maybe she had been impressed? However, she knew better then to think that this temporary encasement would hold the wraith. They were creatures made of darkness; neither alive nor dead. They could not truly be killed. Instead, it would steep in the ground; slowly spreading out and corrupting the land. It would gain strength as it sucked dry the life forces of the plants and animals that lived off this land. And then it would rise again.

Lifting her tiny shoulders in a shrug, Sieben lifted the stolen apple to her mouth and bit down to the core. This wasn’t her problem. But she was interested in the earth manipulation trick she had witnessed. Casually walking to where the small group was, she silently hung back, watching as the man cleaned the wound and cleansed it of the poison from the wraith. He did a good job (and it did not escape her observant eyes as herbs seemed to magically spring up at his side). But there were some things he could not cure. “You should take her some place to rest. Holy or Hallowed ground. These lands are spoiled now and she has been marked. In her weakened state, even the lowliest of demons could kill her right now.”

Caryline's eyes flickered open and she instantly struggled to reach solid ground. Her body felt slightly heavy as she pushed from Ivan's grasp and leaned on Reich for balance. "How in the world did that happen?" She almost demanded. "I was under the ruse of a Diotian spell to ward of injury and attack. It's blow should have glanced and struck ground!" She shouted.

Quickly regaining her composure she knelt and sat on the firm ground. Her eyes seemed to dart back and forth at an almost alarming rate before she noticed not only that her wound had been thuroughly patched and tended, but the young girl was also here.

Caryline stood and stood, quickly, to the child, stopping short of an inch away. "You, my child," she said in a happy tone, "must come with me." Caryline smiled. "You need food, clean clothes, and a bed."

Looking to Ivan, she motioned towards the newest arrival, the girl. "Ivan, is this young woman a friend of yours perhaps?" She smiled and bowed a bit. "I am Caryline, Priestest or Istansith. It is my pleasure to make your aquaintance.(sp?)"

Ivan looked at the girl then at Caryline "no, they just saw what happend and came to help it looked like" he said as he looked at her. He then looked at Caryline and said "but you should rest, that wound needs time to heal." he said as he looked at her worryed and hoped that she was okay. But if he had to her would carry her to the inn or her house. He didn't mind and he was here to help.

Caryline gave Ivan a disapproving look. "I am absolutely fine, Ivan." She said, still keeping erfectly in line with her good attitude. "Wound such as these are nothing more then a small dose of Orven Radish away from perfection."

Looking around she suddenly realised something was missing. "Where in Heaven's Name is Dagoth?"

Ivan looked at her for a second and was about to ask her something when he felt a sickening sencasion in his stomach. But it soon passed and he knew that it was because that demon was in the earth now and he could feel it moveing. But it soon stoped and he stoped feeling sick and took a deep breaht. "who is Dagoth?" he asked after the sickening feeling passed and he had taken a few more deep breaths.

Caryline sighed and looked at Ivan. "Dagoth is the bringer of all things evil, and all things evil are Dagoth. I learned that in study." She said, almost out of the textbook. "Ivan, how are you feeling?"

"fine, just got a sickening feeling" he said and the feeling started to come back when the demon started to move again. But it wasn't as bad as before but he felt like he was going to puke. "and the evil demon thing is gone, the earth ate it." he said then puked a little bit "and by the feel of it the demon isn't likeing it much" he said as he started to breath hard. He needed to get away form this bad earth right away before that demon made him more sick.

Raindrop looked at him worriedy and then back at the preistess. Than thinking fast she got an idea. "Here eat this...It tastes bad but it will make the sickness fade a little... and keep you from puking... but you should probibly move away from this ground...And rest, that was great earth magic and control." she said and handed him a small piece of what looked like sushi. She knew what he was but she had no idea if the rest knew.

"do you know what caused such a horrible hellion to appear? Blood wasn't spilt was it?" she asked worried now that the holy ground was tampered with.
