skeith walked up to the doctor. "if you don't mind me asking, may i see the results for her blood?" he looked at the results "it may seem a bit redundant but believe it or not i have a masters degree in medical issues such as this. if this has all the information i need then i may be able to tell if its poison that can be found by normal means and of course if its just stress."he looked over the results. "ah, their it is. if my memory serves me well then her white blood cell count is low, along with the fact that theirs something that shouldn't be found in blood even in vampires. its a cell with no name all thats known is that its like chemo therapy for a cancer paitent, it destroys everything in its way." he looked at the doctor "i think we're gonna need some unusual treatments for this."
The doctor narrowed his eyes, "thats a shame she wanted to go to the dance"
Ivan sighed and stood up. He didn't care much for the dance now that Paige was sick. "I am going to go and see how she is." he said and slowly made his way to her room. When he got there he knocked on her door and opend it slightly. He came inside quietly and stood next to her. "guess who" he said as he stroked her cheek gently.
skeith sat down with the doctor. "sir, if my studies could help me at anytime. then theirs no better time. during my travels i would often stop by markets to see what they had. i picked up a special herb that was used for many treatments in the late 1800s." skeith pulled a jar out of his bag. "with your help i think i might be able to create an antidode for paige. but first how much time do we have until the dance? working agianst time puts pressure on me and that allows my thoughts to floow smoother which allows me to work faster."
"a few hours, it starts at seven and it is 3:15 now" the doctor stared at skeith, "you remind me of someone i knew" he said quietly.
paige didnt respond, her eyes were pointed to the ceiling. |
"ok good, i should have enough time to make an antidode. and i may remind you of someone because you could have known me in a diffrent form of myself or you could have known my father. now if you could please point me to somewhere that might help me make the antidode, like a lab, a medicine cabinet, or anything that has things of the medical nature."
"my study" he said and dashed over to a set of double doors, "its through these doors"
"excellent." skeith grabbed his bag and followed the doctor. he found a clear desk and set up hif things. "can you bring me some wather? i might need some for t6he antidode." skeith finished seting up "and yes i know i had an entire chemistry set of flasks in my bag. one thing i can never stop hearing from the old man is to be prepared." he began pulling out ingrediants for the antidode.
The doctor darted out of the room and then was back almost as fast, "here you go, and yes being prepared is always good"
skeith started mixing the ingredients with water. "lets see. if i add this then it should raise her white blood cell count." he grabed a small bag with a mixture of grounded herbs. and added some to the flask that the antidode was being made in. "and if i add some of the herb i showed you along with a little something else then it should be enough to get that cell out of her circulatory system." he grounded the herb and then grabbed a knife out of his bag. "don't worry. this'll work, i'm sure of it." he slit his wrist and let 3 drops of his blood drop into the flask with the herb. "now we need to heat it up a bit." he picked up the flask and summoned fire in his hand. "come on. i have to keep this heated for it to work. grab a syrenge." he started making his way towards paige's room.
The doctor did as he was told and walked behind skeith to paiges room
"ok fill up the syringe and you have to do this quickly, for the love of god quickly inject it into a vein on her wrist."
Ivan got worryed and called down to the others. "I think she is getting worse." he hoped that they had gotten the antidote and that she would be okay.
the doctor did as he was told and hoped he was moving fast enough, he grabbed her wrist and put the needle into a vein. "okay now what?"
"inject the antidode into her slowly but not to slow."
The doctor did what he was told, "is this slow enough?" the doctor stared at Paiges face hoping it will work.
Ivan watched Paige intently and hoped that she was going to be okay.
"ok. now all we can do is wait, if how i made the antidode just right she should be fine in about 10 minutes. how much time until the dance?"
"little under an hour" the doctor said glancing at his watch.
Ivan smiled, glad that she was going to be okay. He had been very worryed about her and hoped to see her at the dance soon.
skeith looked at ivan and said "any last things you want to say to her while she's knocked out from the antidode? she won't hear you." he lookedback to the doctor and said "thank you for your help. now if you don't mind, i'm going to go wash up before the dance."
Ivan sighed and shook his head. He didn't want to say anything to her that she wouldn't remember.
Moria was glad that no one knew much about her this being a small village not many would. By just looking at the young girl five feet nothing with a slightly bored expression to her face one wouldn‘t think that in her veins ran the blood of many a powerful witch, it was true Moria Silverwind a seemingly innocent looking young girl had witch blood in her she was a pure blooded witch. As she traveled down the streets in the town she watches all of the people. The humans in this town were so droll and boring that she was becoming bored with them. Yes, there was the occasional vampire and werewolf lurking about, but they mostly stay hidden. With Moria it was different she looked like any normal person and to any mortal person she would seem just that. However, to a vampire or werewolf with an acute sense of smell, her scent would tell otherwise. Even though she didn’t smell like a normal witch the way she carried herself and the way she acted at times would define her as such. Other witches would also be able to tell she was one they would be able to sense her power as she could theirs.
Being around mortals all the time Moria could easily distinguish one from a werewolf or vampire she actually made a little game out of it to see how many she could actually catch trying to blend in with society. It was rather amusing to her how many she did find on a daily basis. However, she didn’t bother them even if she did know they had come to feed, vampires had their needs just like any other creature. Being a white witch was a bit boring, however like the mortals in the supernatural world there was always good and evil, Moria just loved purging the world of evil and if it was a witch it was all the better for her. For as it goes, if she destroyed another witch her power would increase, there were those witches that would kill just for the sake of power, but not Moria she trained and bettered herself that way to become as powerful as she was today. She continues to make her way down the sidewalk assured that it would be just another boring day surrounded by boring mortals. |
Paige's eyes fluttered and she opened her eyes, "W-what happened to me?"
Ivan smiled and stroked her cheek "you where sick but your better now." he said as he looked at her
