Jitter looked at the register, locked it and followed her.
Hal looked over her shoulder. "Why are you following me?"
Jitter shrugged. "It seems like the thing to do. Y'know?"
"I don't know. I don't follow people like a stalker.”
"I. AM. NOT. a stalker, I'm just bored."Jitter snapped.
Hal snorted. “Don’t you have to work so many hours?”
"Well, errr, yes but I'm off now, so I'm bored."
"Great," she hissed and dodged cars to cross the street.
Jitter sighed, shrugged her shoulders, and followed Hal some more.
A box sat on her doorstep; she grabbed it excitedly.
"Is it your soap?" Jitter asked, leaning over to look.
Hal hugged the box close and shrugged. “You should go.”
"Hmmm. Why? You're the only person who talks to me."
“Because I don’t want to talk to you,” Hal said.
"Oh. Well, sorry to bother you." Jitter walked away, sad.
"Damn it," Hal muttered to herself, feeling bad. "Hey! Wait!"
"Hm? Whacha need?" Jitter asked, turning around, her shoulders slumped.
"Do you want to see my soap?" She asked
Jitter perked up and smiled. "Yeah, that sound like fun!"
“Fine, come in first,” she said and opened the door.
"ok. Nice place!!" Jitter exclamed, walking in, and looking around.
“Whatever you say.” White walls, ratty furniture, and stained carpet.
"It's better than my place. Mine's filthy, can't be cleaned."
Wordlessly, she sat the box down and began opening it.
Jitter stood anxiously but patiently waiting to see Hal's soap.
