Hal knowingly approached the ten item line with twenty items.

Jitter watched her thinking, Nope not getting away with it.

With a grin, Hal dropped the items on the belt.

"No way, that's not allowed. Go somewhere else." Jitter said.

Hal's eyes watered. "You don't understand. I’m in a hurry.”

Jitter blinked," I would, but I will get in trouble."

"Come on," Hal insisted, "It will be our little secret."

"Until you let someone know." Jitter crossed her arms, crossly.

Hal scowled. “Look, I have five minutes to get home.”

"And why would that be?" Jitter leaned over the counter.

"Because..." She sighed. "I don't want to miss my soap."

"Your soap? Opera? But it's midnight!" Jitter asked, and sneezed.

“No. I mean the stuff you scrub with,” Hal said.

"How're you gonna miss it? Won't it still be there?"

“No. It won’t. Now would you scan these for me?”

"Do it yourself, I'm off, see." Jitter said and pointed.

"Fine," Hal hissed and moved to get behind the register.

"No, no. You are doing it all wrong." Jitter announced.

"You're off, go away," Hal replied, trying to scan mouthwash.

"No, not until you do it right. Move." Jitter commanded.

"No, I'm doing it right already," she insisted, scanning scissors.

"Fine, I'll lock it." Jitter reached over and locked it.

"You're a jerk," Hal declared and turned to walk away.

"Now, I will do it properly." Jitter unlocked the register.

“I'm leaving," she said and walked swiftly to the door.
