"Uh huh," she nodded, as they neared the building. She caught a glimpse of golden blond hair. "There he is!" exclaiming and pointing to him. "Hey...hey you! C'mon, we have to get out of here!" She gestured a sign as if to say 'hurry up!'.

Wind von Reukaughv 09-08-2009 12:57 PM

Railey nodded. "I see. Well I was just heading to the coffee shop."

He slid his hands into his pockets as a cool breeze blew at the feathers on his jacket. His chesnut brown locks flowed about his face smoothly as he looked up to the sky. He had an awkward feeling, and wasn't to sure what to make of it.

"Would you two like to join me?" He asked, not looking at them, but instead keeping his eyes to the stars.

dianakitsune 09-08-2009 02:09 PM

"We just came from..." Jake began, but was cut off by Alexia.

"Sure," She smiled. She had plenty of time and she didn't work till tomorrow evening, so she could sleep in. Also he seemed kind of nice now. Maybe he just had a bad day.

Jake sighed, not sure if he should leave Alexia or not with this guy, but he had to get home, "Well I have to go, you'll be alright?"

"Yep," Alexia smiled, "I'll call one of my brothers if I have to."

Let the rain fall… let it keep on falling… let it fall down, and softly brush my little turtle dove…

The snatch of song always went through her head when she watched the rain. Well, that and ‘Rain on Me’. She had always hated that particular hymn, but it still came to mind. Honey had always loved the rain, and the promise of a rainbow – in her mind, one of the most special things she ever saw. When she was little, she had always wanted to find the end of a rainbow, not realising that they never really came to ground.
The young woman watched the rainfall from the inside of the cafe, and the people going by. That man was a faceless bureaucrat who secretly dressed up in his wife’s clothing, and that woman was in the middle of a desperate and doomed love affair; he would go back to his wife, and she would spend the rest of her days celibate. God, but she was cheerful tonight – she really needed to find something happy to consider. She took a sip of her coffee, her thoughts turning to the paper in front of her. Honey had been following the mass murder case avidly; she couldn’t help but find it fascinating.

Wind von Reukaughv 09-08-2009 07:57 PM

Railey smiled and nodded. "Well, see you around then, Jake."

His cool eyes stared off at the man as he started to leave. He then looked to Alexia. His expression was vacant for he really hadn't been alone with a girl before. He forced a smile, but figured it looked too cheesy adn shook his head.

"Sorry, I am not sure how to be a good host or friend. I am used to being alone."

dianakitsune 09-09-2009 04:19 AM

"Oh, that's ok," Alexia smiled. He seemed a lot nicer now. Maybe he just needed to get used to being around people. Jake wasn't too understanding, but she hoped to cheer him up. "You wouldn't mind walking me home would you?" She asked since she didn't want to walk alone and she wanted to get to know Railey better.

Wind von Reukaughv 09-09-2009 04:34 PM

Cocking a brow in slight confusion, Railey shrugged and nodded.

"I suppose so. I do need to grab some coffee to go, though." He smiled and looked around.

The man was about sick of all the drama going on the huge tvs. Rai often wondered if there was a reason he was even alive, yet he couldn't let that bother him. Taking a few steps in the direction of the coffee shop, he stopped and looked back at Alexia, smirking calmly. His smirk wasn't one of the normal angry ones, it was actually his smile.

Ares stood over the woman as her aura become more powerful, memories came back to him of the nights of passion and lust, but also the hared and betrayal. The wrath he unleashed on those who caused her betrayal, the horrors he unlocked on the world in his rivalry with his siblings, each memory brought more of his former anger to form. The sky cracked in bright red lightning, as the fires ignited more of the clouds around him, he saw the world as he wanted to see it. He looked back to the woman thinking to himself about the fates and how they take their sweet time doing everything.

Hades, it was all made so clearly in only a matter of seconds. He gasped for air when he awoke his body pulsing from it's new found strength. His ears were filled with mother Gaia's pain, she had been stripped of countless bounties, cities pierced into her flesh and her calls for help had gone unanswered for centuries. The river styx has been overflown and countless dead lay stranded without care or judgment. He then felt a strong sense of guilt, why had he gone away for so long... how can mortals so carelessly destroy what what had been nursed to them from the beginning of time. Then he felt the agony of the forgotten dead, the torture of mother Gaia, and his anger was beyond control. It brought him to his knees and he began to weep.

Kriddles 09-09-2009 05:15 PM

The Fate's smile didn't faulter at her question. She did, however, pull her hand away and stood up straight. "We shall perish." She said simply. "Extrodinary thought... isn't it?" She said with a darkened tone. "You know what you must do, Aphrodite... And time cannot allow you to stay here any longer." She said and leaned towards the girl and kissed her forehead softly. As soon as the fate pulled away, the cement ground and Ares's arms were real once more. The grassy meadow and the soft hum of birds dissapated as cars strolled by, the soft hiss of water picking up underneath the tires.

Derrick's mouth dropped open as he spotted Ace a couple of feet away. It wasn't hard. The boy's aura glowed like the moon itself. Memories flashed by but only briefly as he stared at Ace's true form. Wings... as faint as they were- fluttered at his ankles. "Hermes..." He said quietly. It was all so strange to him. Reality had been based on facts a moment ago, and now he was a greek god...dess. Nothing made sense, but everything did. The moon's rays reflected off his skin and comforted him, making him feel silly for his doubts. He was Artemis, Goddess of the Moon.

Emily jumped when Gerald came to. He had changed, she could tell... and this new person. She was drawn to him, she wanted to ease his pain. "Gerald..." She quietly approached him, her hand extending out torwards his shoulder. "...Gerald... is that really... you?" She asked, uncertainty taking over.

Cows Go Moo 09-09-2009 10:08 PM

The nymph-nature-girl-thing from earlier had spotted Ace, pointing and alerting the red head of his presence. Ace heard however and turned over to Derrick, instantly feeling his words die in the back of his throat. He didn't even know the guy's real name, but the god(dess)'s name was already familiar to him. "Ar..temis," he uttered out, seeing how much the hunter beamed in the moonlight. Out of instinct, Ace ran up to the guy, closing the few feet between them in a flash. "I take it that you got a visit from a cryptic, blond chick?"

Divine Seduction 09-10-2009 12:02 AM

Aphrodite looked up at the man who was holding her. She reached a shaking hand up to Ares' face. The skin there was slighty rough with scars and the flame red hair was not as much as a suprise. She shifted slightly up and looked up into his eyes. The eyes she'd loved, and once cherised. The eyes of her son's father. She closed her eyes as a tear slipped from the corner of her eye.

Why? Why had everything happened that way? Why could she have not been married to Ares.... They'd loved, but she wasn't allowed to be with him... Because of her marriage to Hephaestus...

Once again she lifted her head, and stared unabashedly at the beloved face before hers...

The Jupiter Alien 09-10-2009 12:18 AM

One minute she saw Ace, and the next he was a few feet away. Listening to his remark about Derrick. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Artemis? Those I'm dealing with are the Gods and Goddesses!? Who knew!? So wait, if he's Artemis", she thought while looking at him, "...then he's...winged feet. Hermes, of course." she thought with a chuckle, turning to look back at Ace. "Hey, that cryptic blond chick you're talking about? Yeah, she's a, y'know. Fate. As in The Fates. I'm sure they'd prefer that over 'cryptic blond chick'." Her attention turned to the sirens wailing louder and louder, only a few blocks away. "By the way we should probably get out of here."

Karen walked through the empty streets and a shiver traveled down her spine. How does Chiara put up with this? It's so...unnatural. The fake lights, the tuning out of Gaia...Thank goodness there's a full moon tonight, she thought, looking up at the moon. She closed her eyes and let the moonlight pour over her. Then there was a rustling sound and her fear was back again. Was somebody there or was it just the wind? She stopped in her tracks, burying herself deeper into her cloak and waited, hoping that if there was someone, or something, it would go away soon.

Alexia blinked in confusion at the expression on Railey's face. It scared her at first, but then she realized he was smiling. She smiled back, "Alright." She did a few little skips in order to catch up to him. He wasn't such a bad guy.

Wind von Reukaughv 09-10-2009 12:02 PM

Railey looked around him, as he heard several conversations all at once. A pain shot through his head as he gripped it falling to his knees. A loud cry of pain escaped his throat as both his hands clutched his forehead tightly. Panting heavily, Railey stood and let go of his head. Shaking it, he looked back at Alexia with one eye closed.

"Um.. I really have no idea what all that was about, but let's get that coffee and be on our way... something doesn't feel right."

dianakitsune 09-10-2009 01:51 PM

"Y-you sure," Alexia asked worried. She had never seen that happen to anyone before. "Maybe you should see a doctor." She was afraid of angering him, but at the same time very worried. Her fear always won out and she pressed her hand on his forehead. If he had a fever she'd make him go home at least, if he didn't, she'd go with him to get coffee. It sounded like a good way to handle things.

Wind von Reukaughv 09-10-2009 02:34 PM

Railey pushed her hand gently away from his forehead. Shaking his head slowly, he looked up and smiled awkwardly.

"No, really I am fine. Don't worry. I think I just had a minor mental breakdown of the past.... or something." He hesitated as his mind almost went blank again. "Well, let's go get that coffee, maybe that is all I need. No doctor could ever fix any problems that I had before anyway."

Never really knowing how to reassure another, he was hoping like crazy Alexia would just ignore what had happened. Railey wasn't the type to have others worry about him.

dianakitsune 09-10-2009 02:44 PM

Alexia bit her lip as she decided whether to protest or not. "ummm... ok," She said still not sure, but she couldn't do anything anyway if he wasn't alright. He probably wouldn't listen to her so she followed him. If something did happen, she would at least be with him to help.

Wind von Reukaughv 09-10-2009 02:50 PM

Finally reaching the coffee shop door, Railey put his hand on the bar. As the bell above the door chimed, his mind flashed to a beautiful landscape. His deep ocean blue eyes flashed open as he shook his head.

"Daydreaming about that place again, what is it?" He asked aloud.

He entered the shop, looking back at Alexia with a vacant expression. "Come on, it's nice and toasty in here."

dianakitsune 09-10-2009 02:54 PM

"O-Ok," Alexia smiled following him. He seemed fine now. Though she wasn't sure what he was thinking. He seemed like he was daydreaming. She wondered if he was really alright or just trying to hide that he wasn't. The more she thought about it, the more she worried. She shook her head. She had already promised herself that if he didn't have a fever she'd go to get coffee with him.

Kriddles 09-10-2009 02:56 PM

The Reaper ran down the street with a bit of a limp now. His breath was ragged, but with every step and inhale, the man seemed to mend himself. His smile growing on his lips. He stopped when he saw Alexia and Railey. If he couldn't have Mark and Anarith, he could walk away with something... or two. He continued to hobble down the street before knocking into the girl just before she entered the shop.

"Terribly sorry..." His raspy voice hissed with a chuckle, as he looked Alexia over. He knew she wouldn't be able to see his face, since it was concealed by the hood. His teeth were the only thing that anyone could ever see.

He slowly offered her a hand back up.

dianakitsune 09-10-2009 03:03 PM

"I-It's ok....," Alexia's voice trailed off as she looked up to see a hooded man. She suddenly felt scared and her eyes widened as he offered her his hand. Was he just trying to help her up or did he have something else in mind? Alexia closed her eyes tightly as she tried to think. If only it was light out, she hated the dark, it made everything scarier.

Her instincts of good and bad suddenly kicked in and her eyes opened in fear. She didn't have a good feeling about this guy and she found that she couldn't move, she was too scared.

Wind von Reukaughv 09-10-2009 03:10 PM

Railey kicked the man's hand and helped Alexia up. "What the hell is your problem, knocking into people? Do you wanna start some sort of trouble, cause I got that written all over me, buddy!"

He looked back to Alexia and brushed a hand coolly through his chesnut brown locks. He smiled devilishly, as he loved a good fight. As much as he loved fighting he actually never once picked one with someone weak and frail.

Looking back to the hooded man, Railey lowered his head, trying to get a better look at his face.

"Nothing to say?"

Kriddles 09-10-2009 03:37 PM

((This guy kicked Mark's [Ares Now] butt... without Ambrosia your Railey fella' is in for a mighty good hurting if he continues to push his luck. There were three vials on this guy, Mark took two... where the other one is... hidden.))

The man chuckled and gripped Railey's throat with a chokingly strong grip. "Don't push your luck punk..." The voice came out as a hiss as he threw Railey away from him. He was not in the mood to play who was the better at this point. He stared back at the girl, his grin widening and a horribly laughter rang through his throat. "Scared of the Dark?" He said with a wide grin.

Derrick shook his head as the two talked. "Cryptic is an understatement..." Derrick scoffed shaking his head. "It just all seems so new, but at the same time... so familar. Like I've done it before." He zoned out before turning back towards Chiara. The sirens grew closer. "The nymph is right. Being this close to a murder scene would not look good on my records." He said as he scooped Chiara up into his arms. "I'll try to keep up with you." He said nodding in Hermes's direction. He didn't know the student's name. Just what he truely was. "Lead the way."

((YAY! You get to decide who we run into next Cows. ;D))

Wind von Reukaughv 09-10-2009 03:44 PM

[[haha ok, But my character is pretty stubborn.]]

Railey coughed and choked abit, as his vision blurred. "What the hell is this guy?"

Barely able to make out what was happening, when he heard the demon like man speak, his eyes widened in fright. This wasn't something normal. None of the normal street thugs were strong enough to throw someone like that.

"Alexia.... RUN!!" He shouted, trying to get back on his feet as he gasped, still managing to catch his breath.

Kriddles 09-10-2009 04:06 PM

((I know, I try to make this guy a complete ass... =w=; Something you would see out of a horror movie. I love his pyschotic nature so much. *Hugs the Reaper*))

The man's arm shot out and grabbed Alexia by the wrist. "Don't be afraid." He said with a wide toothful grin. "I don't bite." His words were meant to be soothing, but his voice came out in raspy short breaths with a hint of venom to it. His grip was firm, as the cold slender fingers coiled around her slender wrist. Inner warmth that he has longed to feel for an eternity, moved around underneath his fingers from Alexia's arm. His grip tightened as his ice cold touch tried to sap the warmth from her.

However, when he heard the sirens he released her arm. "Not tonight... Not for a waitress." His raspy voice hissed as he slowly dissappeared into the darkness of an alley. The small vial of milky liquid shimmered in the dark as it rolled onto the sidewalk where they stood.
