Cael smirked and said "I think I might have started the fattening process already," he teased by leaning with one large arm he poked her stomach. Cael frowned slightly and said "Yeah, I was suppose to make her some more cookies but I didn't feel like making cookies yesturday." He leaned down and picked up a batch in a bag and slid it across the table "I made them today so tell your mom I said sorry for the late supply. My mom if she was alive would have skinned me for being late." He chuckled and took another bite of his cupcake, leaning to whisper in Tanyon's ear "Almost tastes as good as one of your kisses." He sat back on the stool, looking innocent to Evie.

Evalign

Evie made a face as he poke her tummy. "Hey!" She was pouting but laughed when he mentioned the cookies. "Haha , i dont even think she remembered." Grabbing the cookied she smiled. "At least i can surprise her with something tonight. We're also celebrating my birthday tonight If anyone wants to stop by. I gotta bring one of your cakes, Mom's orders." Rolling her eyes she let out a laugh. When she saw the kiss she put her hands on her hips. "Oh Cael he's flustered enough, give the boy a break!" A sly grin on her lips.

Cael chuckled and said "Your gettingg old, Eve." He took his last bit of his cupcake and threw the wrapper in the garage. He dropped his hand from Tanyon's hip and he leaned forward to grab a small cake from the casing and putting it on the counter top. "Twenty bucks." And he chuckled and smirked seductively at her saying "Oh, me? Why would I do anything like that?"

Evalign

Evie rolled her eyes as she grabbed her money and placed it on the counter. "I am not! and making me pay for my own birthday cake?, psh." She put the cake in a containter and stuck her tounge out at Cael. "So full of yourself as always."

Rae swallowed some saliver as he walked to the counter. "Hey Evie, Cael. Cael if you don't mind, could we have a talk, please? I wondered if I still have my job. I was in a hospital after a rather severe car crash, and all I could think about was the shop. I really hope no one has taken my spot..." Rae pouted slightly, blond strands of hair dangling along the sides of his face as his blue eyes scooted back and forth.

Evalign

Evie heard Rae walk up and smiled at him, yet her smiled faltered when he mentioned the hospital. "Hun are you alright?" She said giving him a hug. "How long ago was this?" Turning to Cael she frowned "What else have i missed?"

Cael smirked at Evie taking the money as he put into the cash ragister and he glanced up at Rae nonchalantly saying "Oh, you were gone?" Cael shrugged slightly at Evie and said "Yeah, you still have your job, you weren't replaced. Just make sure you finish your orders for the day." He looked away from Rae, dismissing him without saying anything and he took a slice of pie out of a container and took a bite.

Evalign

Evie eyes narrowed, hoe could Cael not show any concern! "Do you ont even care?" The nerve! Rae was suppoused to not only be his employee but werent they friends? Looking to Rae she smiled. "Whenever you want come to the cafe and me and my momwill make you something on the house."

Nothing has changed... "Ah, nothing to worry about Evie. I lived, I walk, I'm happy. And now I'm going to finish my orders. I thank you, though. Perhaps I'll come and have a drink later today. Tell your mom I said hi." Rae nodded slowly, turning around as he rolled up his sleeves, washing his hands as he headed for his work place. Grabbing the needed things, Rae smiled, starting on the bottoms of his Nutella pastry.

Cael stared up at Evie with raised brows saying, "No. I don't need to care. And he is an employee, he knows the drill." He droped his voice and leaned forward whispering to Evie "I called the hospital and had flowers delivered to his room everyday, he doesn't know its from me and I would like to keep it that way." He leaned back on the stool and take another bite of his pie and smirked at Evie saying "I have a bad ass repitation to keep up."

Evalign

Evie smiledat Rae. "Will do." As she listened to Cael she eyebrow rose and then she face softened to a smile. "Oh, you softy." She watched Rae leave, and innerly was still worried.

Cael frowned darkly at her and he said "No part of me is soft." He glanced down at his pie and thought about flicking a piece at her but not wanting to waste the pie. He watched Rae go into the kitchen out of the corner of his eye and said, "He'll be fine. Doc himself told me over the phone."

Evalign

Evie sighed. "I never understood why you were always so defensive." Taking another bit of her cupcake she rolled her eyes. "Like people knowing you were actually caring would be a bad thing." Gestureing to Tanyon with her head she smiled. "Cause i know you have a soft spot for him." She smiled, licking the frosting off her lips.

Cael shrugged saying "It would be a bad thing, all my street cred would go for shit." He chuckled at his joke and he smirked at Evie with raised brows and said "Well I go the opposite of soft around him.." He trailed off at his joke, waiting for her reaction.

Evalign

Evie blushed and turned away. She had had a crush on Cael a long time ago before she figured out his preference, and part of that crush still lingered. "Well, um.." She was quiet and decided not to say anything about it. Quietly she continued to lick the frosting off her cupcake.

Cael smirked as he saw her flushed and turn away. He chuckled and said "You were a bit wrong on having a soft spot." He smirked and took another bite of his pie, licking the fork.

Penny was sitting next to Evie watching the constant banter back and forth. She laughed at some parts but stayed quiet for most. Penny could see how they were friends and also that Evie was blushing a little bit on the cheaks. She smiled and said, " Tanyon does make the best cupcakes."

Jean seemed to melt into Kim's arms when he whispered and played with his hair comfortingly. Everything about Kim seemed to calm Jean and make him feel protected.

Jean was just about to let all his worries go and just hold onto Kim without various thoughts nagging him when Kim realized where they were. Kim had grabbed him and made sure they had gotten out the doors just in time.

Jean could not help but smile up at him after such a sweet kiss. He wanted to freeze time for a moment but then the thoughts that had filled his mind with worry returned. He blushed a bit and pulled a little bit away. He wanted to take Kim's hand in his own but resisted the impulsive urge. Instead he said, "Which way do we do now Kim?"

Evalign

Evie turned away from Cael, trying to hide her now flushed face, and faced Penny. She nodded and offered the girl a cupcake, placing the money on the counter. She always spennt too much here, maybe thats another reason she stopped coming, not just because her mom was sick. Shrugging the thought off her smiled at penny. "Yeah he does, but im fond of my own homemade rainbow layer cupcakes." Evie let out a giggle.

Penny took a cupcake and said, " Well I can not bake at all so I cant beat these." Penny glanced at Ceal. He was a very weird person but he was nice. Then she went back to Evie. "So when are you going to celebrate your birthday again?"

Evalign

Evie bite her cupcake and embarassedly wiped the frosting off her upperlip. "At about 7ish, my mom is getting home around 6ish, but i always leave an hour incase she's late. but if you want to come you can stop by whenever, im almost always awake." She gigggled.

Tanyon smiled at the girl and said his greetings. He didn't mind the customers coming in, but he did feel a little down that his moment was somewhat ruined. He put so much effort into that one cupcake for Cael, and just as Cael had bit into it, others had come in. He blushed when Cael rest his hand on his back, really not wanting to move. But he saw he was conversing and he had other cupcakes and pies to look after. He excused himself and went back to check on them. He sighed, feeling a little awkward and thought that maybe he should take his break now after he makes sure his sweets are in order.

Rae looked over his shoulder while working as he noticed Tanyon working on cupcakes. "Still a good one. Have things been well for you in the land of cupcakes, Tan?" I might as well just ask how others were. Talking about myself doesn't quite cheer me the slightest bit. He flashed a smile as he put the bottoms in the oven, stirring the Nutella as it let off a wonderful hazelnut smell.

Cael watched Tanyon walk away and he glanced over at Evie and Penny and said "I am going to head back to make a few cakes, don't eat all the samples." He pointed to a half empty sample dish at the end of the counter. He stood up and walked back into the kitchen seein Rae and Tanyon talking before he walked up to Tanyon, wrappig his arms around Tanyon's shoulder and turned to look at Rae saying"Rae, do you have a lot of nutella? I want to make a nutella cheesecake."

Rae was happy to be back to work as he took out the bottoms from the oven, laying them on a plate on his work desk as he shoved the bake plate back into the oven. Stirring the Nutella, he heard Cael talking to him. "What's that? Oh. Well I have more than enough Nutella, and more than enough pastry to make. But I have enough with half a pan of Nutella. Figured I could just work more. If you grab a pan you can just take half of it. It's already boiled though. I do have pots too, if you were on about those." He smiled as he started to place Nutella on his pastry, shaping them perfectly.
