Tyrelle by herself was surprised when the crowd (which conveniently included her) was yelled at to shove off by a hooded figure (an Elf? she thought, the idea spinning around in her head). She of course, did not particularly like being ordered around, and, naturally, stayed. She was still slurping up noodles, making sure that no stray piece of soba had decided to hang itself from one of her horns like a vine on a tree branch. As she reached for another noodle and got nothing, she looked down and, lo and behold, she finished her food.
So, Tyrelle sat down, setting the chipped bowl down beside her. Now that she had nothing to do, she created a flame on the tip of her index finger that was the same width as her pinky finger and five centimeters high. After she was satisfied with the stability of the flame, she began to draw random runes in the ground. |
skeith walked trough the crowd looking for something to do. he looked through the shops. but still found nothing of intrest until he spotted a bar. "ahh just what i need some nice cold ale." he walked into the bar to see that no one was around and the bartender told him that they weren't open until night. skeith walked out disappointed. "man this town is a bore the bars aren't even open all day." he continued walking through the crowd until he spoted someone drawing runes on the ground. he walked up and said "and what might you be doing?"
|
Tyrelle looked up from underneath her hair and horns, golden eyes blinking momentarily. "Oh, Me? Im just making gold - what does it look like Im doing? Im writing on the ground." she said, standing up. "Well, I was." She brushed off whatever dust and grime had clung to her clothes and turned her attention once more to the person that spoke.
She studied the man in front of her, noting the eye patch and the rather peculiar eye. Smirking, she gave a low, rather mocking bow. As she righted, she said, "Tyrelle Maedren, at your acquaintance." She raised a delicate eyebrow, as she finally concluded what species he was. "I take it you're a Demon?" |
skeith smiled. "your only half right." he bowed and said "skeith ryu at your service." he stood up and said "if you're wondering what i meant by you only being half right about me. it's because i'm part demon and part vampire." he smiled revealing his fangs. he looked at the runes and just studied them. they were complatly out at random with no pattern what so ever, so he knew that she wasn't planning on summoning or casting anything.
|
"Ah, a Hybrid. Fascinating." she said, twirling a piece of her choppy purple hair between her fingers.
Tyrelle followed Skeith's gaze, which happened to fall upon the runes she was drawing earlier. "I take it you understand the complexity of runes. Now, did they ever teach you, that when some runes, one's you'd never relate to each other, combine, they can have, explosive side affects?" As she finished, she winked, and the runes on the ground started to glow an ominous red. It was only a matter of seconds before they exploded in a rush of dust, heat and air. Using it as a distraction, Tyrelle snuck behind Skeith Ryu, Quarter staff placed around his neck. Leaning in, she whispered, "You lack experience I see." |
skeith smirked "'fraid your wrong about that." he morphed behind her with a knife held to her back. "i do believe it is you who lacks experience. never underestimate your opponent." he grinned. with a snap of his fingers the runes faded before exploding. "don't let the darkness scare ya babe, i'm loads of fun to people when they aren't on my bad side. just better hope you don't get on that side." he put the knife away and vanished into the crowd.
|
"Well you can't blame a girl for trying!" Tyrelle called out as he disappeared. She stored away his retaliation for future knowledge. Suddenly she was aware of the fact that the people around her had stopped and were now staring at her, mouths wide open. Sight in annoyance, she pinched the bridge of her nose.
Standing up straight, she glared at the people around her. If looks could kill well, then most of her audience would just be dust in the wind by now. "Shove off! Show's over! Haven't you ever seen a Demon before? Scram!" Tyrelle shouted, growling towards the end of her 'Speech'. Staring off in the direction of where Skeith had disappeared to, she shook her head. "Fascinating." |
Skeith noticed Tyrelle was following him. "looks like i've gotta lose her." ha sprouted his wings and started heading for a roof top. "see ya." he started roof hopping through town trying to get out of sight from Tyrelle. "i'll leave her a little present." skeith snapped and runes appeared in the sky and ground then became invisible as quickly as they appeared . "nice little trap barrier for the explaosives girl."
|
Tyrelle was momentarily shocked when Skeith sprouted wings and flew away. Letting out a sound of frustration, she jumped into the air, using her power over it to propel her into the air after him. She kept flying, and flying, and flying, but she couldn't get any closer.
"Verdammt!" she yelled in frustration, letting go of her hold on the air around her slowly so she could land safely. "I'll have lost him by now!" she yelled, earning her a few more frightened and disturbed looks. I have to admit, though. He does know his way around 'magic' |
when skeith got to an empty area of town he sat down on the edge of a building and just layed back and watched the clouds pass by.
|
Blinking the long conversation he could just barely hear did not hold his attention for too long, but the faces of those who crowded around did. Looking them over it was interesting to see just how many people had gathered to see the sight. Then the short hooded elf started shooing people away and just as sudden as this out burst was it quickly subsided as he turned back to talk again to the child. Malikoi stepped forward though for a better look this was all just too curious to just be waved off. The warrior did not leave as easily as the crowd had. His approach came to halt once he stood behind the shorter male. Green eyes bounced back and forth between the two short mages and the strange machine.
|
Slowly, but steadily, Tyrelle made her way back to the fountain where these events had all originated from. You could imagine her surprise (literally imagine, for no emotion showed on her face) when the three figures, and the weird contraption ('Machine?' she pondered) were still present. She scowled, wondering what's keeping the mage's from teleporting it all away ('Unless they have insufficient power...' she thought, letting the consideration float around in her mind for a while). Sitting back to where she had drawn the rune's previously, Tyrelle had to growl at a few pedestrians to get off her writing.

Shad decided to break the silence between Fye, Nephele and her students, paying attention to the remains of the Orchid Runner, "perhaps we should get this cleaned up first?" Was what he said, pointing at the mess, but he soon chuckled and walked closer to the wreckage. "I'll take care of it then" he said as his book flew into the air and floated by his side so he could use his hands freely. Shad cracked his knuckles and took a deep breath, exhaling, getting his power flowing through his body and to his hands. He stood up straight and closed his eyes, he placed two fingers upon each of the sides of his head, by his eyes, extended his thumbs and breathed deep. The Orchid Runner soon began to shake and rumble, the wind began to pick up due to the power of Shad's mind, causing his cloak to flow wildly behind him. The machine then rose slowly into the air, hovering about 15 feet off the ground, Shad opened his eyes, filling his glasses with white light again, his mind and spirit focused upon the machine's remains.
Shad soon opened his left hand and hovered it in the air in front of him, placing his right back to his side, keeping his eyes upon the machine, he slowly shut his hand, crushing the machine little by little until he shut it completely, causing it to burst into dust. He raised his hand to his mouth, opening it again, he blew on it, making the dust fly away into the wind, it seemed to fade away as it flew. The wind soon died down and the light from his glasses faded away, making his eyes normal again, he inhaled and exhaled, relaxing once more, he smirked and looked at where the machine once sat, satisfied with how he disposed of it. He grabbed his book and held it at his right side again, facing Fye and the others, "I will meet you back here, I need to get my horse, Gilgamesh, before I go any further." Shad then walked back in the direction of the stables, soon running to pick up the pace and hurry with helping Nephele and her students. Shad turned the corner and spotted the stable owner standing by leaning lazily against a shovel used to clean the stables, "excuse me sir, I'm here to retrieve my horse" Shad said, skidding to a stop in front of him, the owner shrugged and walked over to the stable sleepily. Opening the gates he grabbed hold of Gilga's reins and pulled gently to get him out, Gilga wouldn't budge, he pulled more, Gilga stayed put, he then pulled on the reins desperately, Gilga snorted and snapped the reins from the man's hand, making him fall backwards. Shad laughed and walked over to Gilga, grabbing the reins and gently pulling Gilga out into the open with no trouble at all, Shad looked over at the stable owner, still on the ground, reaching into a pouch on his belt he pulled out some gold coins. "Thank you for taking great care of him" Shad said, placing the money in the man's hand, he then jumped onto Gilga's back and got him into a gallop back to the others. Gilga let out a loud neigh as they turned the corner, his hooves shaking the earth underneath him, Shad pulled the reins firmly to get him to stop when they were close enough and he turned Gilga to the side. Gilga let out a snort and shook his head, causing his mien to shake as well, Shad smiled at the others who were so very short now upon his large horse, "ready to go?" He smirked at them. ((This image is for how Gilga looks and a size reference and comparison for both him and Shad, [Gilgamesh])) |
[Hey I am moving into a house and I am stealing internet from my neighbors...soooo once I get some internet to my home just continue on without me. I will jump in when I can.^^]
|
((Sorry for my delay in posting. I've had a bad case of the brain farts recently and not been able to write a creative sentence!))
"Even if I do not have money upon myself, I can always place the bill on the university's funds", she replied with a grin, "although the other professors make me take emergency pocket money with me in the case that I do something stupid like this." To explain her point, the mage delved in her robes for a large purse, proceeding to pull out a large amount of coin and handed it to the two students. "You heard what the nice lady said", she told them as if they were children and not teens, "go and get yourself two horsies to get back to the university." "But what about you Miss Aurelius?" the pair asked, "you can't expect us to go unattended!" Nephele nodded, "yes I can", she replied, "you're grown up now, and this will give you good practice on how to use your magic in a real world setting. And don't worry about me. Tell them that I am cleaning up my mess and that I am in the good company of Shad." The arch mage gave one of her cheerful smiles, before the students grumbled and started on their way. Her goldfish like attention span was then distracted again, as the runes one female demon had been drawing exploded, before she set off in pursuit of another of her kin. She noted the runes he cast behind him as a familiar trap, one that was oft used in the university to stop students going where they shouldn't. However, not only would it mean the demon could not pass, but also other civilians, and that, she felt, was rather mean. Therefore, Nephele tottered over to where the trap had been set, placing a hand upon it gently. Her eyes then shut in concentration as she muttered something softly under her breath, before the same runes as before appeared again, before disappearing just as quickly as they had been cast in the first instance. She gave a small sigh, opening her eyes to return herself to a conscious state. That demon must possess much skill to cast that so freely. Maybe she should try and find them later. She then ambled back to the group. Shad then began to crush the Orchid Runner, which cause her eyes to show a little sadness. That was five years work down the drain.. oh well, perhaps she could make the Orchid Runner mark two when she returned! The elf then rushed off to get his horse, leaving behind the female, and someone who had been stood behind them. Nephele tilted her head in curiosity, "hello", she spoke rather simply. |
Fye turned around to see a person was standing behind her. Dumbstruck she flew herself back from the sheer suprise. Catching her footing she stood up striaght and let out a grunt that sounded displeased. Catching her eyes with Nephele's she smirked and turned her attention to the man. He was rather tall, Fye could see eye level to him...which was nice for a change. Her neck was starting to hurt with everyone else. Being large at height seemed to be a burden. "Can we help you?" Her voice sounded cold and unwelcoming, she was a defensive person when she had a bad feeling.
|
His attention moved to Fye as he realized he was being addressed by her, he tilted his head for a moment. Could they help him? He wasn't sure, but he smiled at her in a gallant and bright manner. "Well, that all depends of what help you could offer.. I'm just curious about the thing that's in the fountain. But, if you have time. I am also selling things if you'd like to look at them." He brought around his sack of treasures, the silver tea set and other odd things clinking together as they were forced upon themselves.
|
skeith appeared atop the fountain. "well this seems intresting." he saw the machine. "what the hell is that?" he wondered as he saw the contraption puff out smoke and grind its gears aloud. he jumped down to the ground and walked closer to the contraption. he saw a big red button and said "i wonder." he pushed the button and the machine self destructed. he was blown into the fountain. "what the hell was that? i didn't know that was a bomb otherwise i wouldn't have pushed that button." he stepped out of the fountain and sat down. "great completly soaked." he snapped and his cloths tried in an instant. "much better."
|
Tyrelle was snapped out of her blank, meditative thoughts (she was meditating to reduce frustration and stress) by a loud explosion and lots of water raining down upon her. Annoyed, she super-heated the air around her to insta-dry her hair and clothes. As she looked around at the wet and rather angry looks of the patrons around her, she noticed Skeith. The guy who had the nerve of setting down that trap barrier in a market place.
Walking silently up behind him and leaning over, placed her hands over his eyes, her necklaces' bell chiming softly. "Guess who?" she asked in a silky smooth voice, mentally (and physically, though it didn't show) prepared for what ever his reaction should be. |
skeith smirked "ya know its funny i keep running into you. i find it funny because you tried to kill me." he phased through her and was behind her. "so tell me, why bug me? just because you've just met me or for some other reason?"
|
"It appears I should remind you, Skeith, that I drew those runes before I met you. It is, well, rather illogical to say that I was trying to kill you, when I met you a while after those were drawn." She said, turning calmly around to meet him.
"Though, in all honesty, I didn't expect it to make such a large explosion. Where did it go wrong I wonder..." as she said this, part of her retreated into the depths of her mind, working and re-working the runes from earlier, trying to find something wrong with the arrangement and failing. Though, just because part of Tyrelle was thinking deeply, it did not mean that she was not alert. In fact, it was just the opposite, with her instinctual side ready to pounce on anyone trying to attack her in her 'vulnerable' state. |
"i know that but still you were planning on letting the explosion hit me." he looked at her as she thought and said "and if your ttying to find out what it was you did wrong that would have made a big explosion, it was the rune third from the middle on your right side. just be lucky i saved you from paying the town for damage fees." he waved as he walked away
|
"Yes, you'd assume that'd be it, but when I tried it out before, it just made a multi-coloured spark.." She said, snapping out of her stupor. "Will you cut it with the whole 'I-know-you're-trying-to-kill-me' act? It was an accident, and I would never kill someone for the sport of it." she whispered this last bit to herself, her eyes staring at the ground.
When Tyrelle glanced up, Skeith was already absorbed by the crowd. |
skeith walked through the town looking through the shops. "god the shops in this town suck. they've got nothing." he walked through the streets until he found an old gypsie in a back alley. he walked down and asked "are you lost?" the gypsie looked at him and handed him a necklace. "this item is meant to be yours." the gypsie said and then started to walk away. "wait what'd you mean?" skeith looked up but the gypsie seemd to vanish into thin air. "great." skeith looked at the necklace. it had a pendant with a black stone and the metal around the stone was designed as if to resemble people being pulle in to something. as if the stone was darkness pulling people in. "might as well keep it. never know it might be of use to me later. if its what i think it is then it'll help in a fight." he put the necklace in his bag and then walked started walking through the town agian.
