Genesis: (the forest Outside the ship)

IC:
The misty forest seemed to sway and dance in the wind. Tiny streams of light poured down from the canopy above. It’s usual calm washed through like a warm spring on a cold winter’s night. Though it had been some time since winter. The ice creatures tended to stay in the north and rarely came to the central continent, bringing their cold storms with them.

Tynali plopped down on a tree branch with a heavy sigh. Nothing ever happened here. It was so boring, except for the occasional clan spats between Canine packs or Winged-ones. She stared up at the leaf above her, it looked so pretty from here. The light from above made it glow a vibrant green.

“I wonder if Krial’s gonna get leaves that big when he grows into a big tree?” Her tiny voice barely made a stir in the forest. She didn’t get to see her sapling Krial very often, but when she did they spoke of all the fun things they’d do when he got bigger. He was well protected, in her mother and father’s flower grove. The grove was surrounded in big, old trees, the ones that no one dare hurt because they were so old and powerful. One of the oldest that surrounded it was on the counsel, it was her best friend’s grandfather’s tree, and it was nice to her. It promised to take good care of Krial, and she knew it would.

With a noise that hurt her ears something made the earth shake. Tynali jumped into the air, flying straight up to try and determine the cause. She broke through the canopy just in time to see a huge silver beast careening toward the west, scraping the trees and destroying them underneath it. Her eyes widened as she watched the horrific murder of so many. All she could do was stare for the longest time until the creature stopped and froze where it was. A moment or more passed before she finally blinked, panic over taking her as she flew and breakneck speed toward the silver beast. But even as she neared it she didn’t stop. She had every intention of ramming it, the trees around it under her direction started pounding on it. But as she slammed into it, she found it to be as hard as stone and only ended up hurting her.

“How dare you!?” She yelled at the beast. “How dare you trample so many!? What is your purpose here? Who are you!?”

But the beast said nothing, merely made some odd creaking noises.

“Won’t talk to me, eh?” She sneered, “We’ll see how you feel when I tell the Elders about this!” She turned to the trees and whispered to them. The trees began to move then without any wind, the message of the massacre passing on.

Tynali moved to a large leaf on the top of the canopy, here eyes locked on the beast. “I will make sure you don’t go anywhere." Vines began growing longer, thicker and stronger then, reaching over the beast and holding it tightly so it couldn’t move if it tried.

“You will pay for your murder’s when the Elder’s arrive.” And she sat down cross legged on the leaf, staring firmly at the beast and so she would remain for a long time.

Fiala felt a stirring in the trees and even the creatures began to whisper. 'A strange beast landed in the forest. It destroyed our brethren.' Fiala looked at them and her eyes widened. Destroyed? How? She thought, trying to remain calm. She took off at a run through the trees, finally alighting on the spot where the strange creature had landed. The earth was turned up, many trees were gone, fallen beneath the beast's massive size.

"What in the world is it?" She said softly as she walked over to it. "If it truly is a creature, I should be able to understand it." But all she heard were the strange creaking noises. It all meant nothing to her, and she couldn't understand it at all. "It can't be alive." She said softly. She looked up and could see Tynali in the tree above the strange beast. "Maybe it is simply unintelligent." She said.

"Tynali?!" She called up into the trees. She looked at one of the nearby creatures, a very particular one. "Can you take me up into the trees?" She asked it, and it nodded at her. 'Of course, Fiala.' It replied and she got on it's back so it carried her up to the leaf where Tynali was sitting. Fiala held onto the creature and she looked at Tynali. "Tynali, I don't know if that thing is alive. It makes strange noises that I cannot understand. Either it is simply unintelligent, or it may be something else entirely." She said. She looked down at the forest.

"It has destroyed a portion of our home. Whatever it is, it will pay for this. But I don't even know what it is." Fiala said shortly.

Kaiser had just finished his morning walk around the forest and was returning to his cave to report to Mother, when the cave shook and loose fragments fell onto his head. He was about to hurry inside when the whispers of the trees spoke to him, 'A strange beast landed in the forest. It destroyed our brethren.' he stood for a moment before running into the deepest cavern of the cave and finding his family.

"Mother, did you hear the call?", he asked as the older basilisk uncurled and stood before him.

"Yess, my little one. You sshould go investigate with your brother.", she replied as the other serpent stared at them before nodding his head.

"Very well, Mother.", Kaiser bowed and started for the enterance of the cave with his brother. He took a lenth of cloth and wrapped it around his eyes before jumping ontop of his brother's head and making their way to the far end of the forest. They arrived and he jumped off to get a closer look. He heard, more than saw the vines holding the beast in place and he took a deep breath that revealed more than he would have ever thought to find. "Brother, do you smell it? The stench of blood, fear, and death?", he asked while glancing in his brother's direction.

'Indeed, I do. It iss quite peculiar, iss it not?', he responded and noticed Kaiser nodding.

"It must be a fearsome creature that swallows prey whole and slowly digests them. Do you see anyway that we could free the ones still alive, Brother?", he asked before hearing something coming their way.

Pacifico was kneeling beside the pond where his lily Fiore lay. He took out his violin and began to play a beautiful melody he had thought up while staring at the clouds the day before. A smile blooming on his face as the flowers in the field beside him began sway slightly in the wind and hum.

It stayed like that a bit. A day of peace, lounging under the bright sun. He loved these days.

But there was a sudden rumble, and a whisper seemed to stretch like a wave, slowly more and more of the flowers began to speak of a massacre that had taken place not too far away.

He stood and placed his violin away. There are sometimes when the music stopped, and silence needed to reign. This was a moment of silence for all the dead.

He wiped his eyes and then placed a hand, just the lightest, feathery touch against the pink petals of his flowery friend.

"Understood. You know you don't have to tell me, I already knew what you were doing just from your expressions. Go see this travest with your own eyes and please report back to us."

Pacifico gave a little solemn nod and with a deep breath took to the skies.

Shira was staring at the bright red flames of her home, sitting at the mouth of a not so active volcano. The bright, pure red flames made it seem as though the volcano was still alive and active should one see it from a ground level. She sighed as she sat staring at her birthplace. She was shocked to see a large silver beast hurtling down from the sky, crashing in the distant forest.

She could not see where it landed, but there was a path of fallen trees that allowed her to know where it should be. The small fiery wings on her back began to flutter and she took to the sky with ease, her small body easily lifted on even the lightest draft of wind. She could not allow the wind to blow her off course, so she altered her size momentarily until she was around three feet tall. Big enough not to be totally disrupted in her flight by the wind.

Shira flew long and hard to alight on the spot above the large silver beast. She could see one of the tree people, Tynali, sitting on a leaf, and even Fiala was there, riding one of her creatures. Shira looked down on the silver beast, held in place by vines. It would not be going anywhere, and Shira flew low enough to look more closely at the strange creature. She back away from it, wondering if it could possibly be big enough to move, even with the vines holding it in place. It certainly looked big enough to swallow her whole, should she get too close to the beast.

She narrowed her eyes and frowned, a pouting look on her face was the result. "I cannot believe this. What horrible crimes to destroy the people." She said softly and crossed her arms over her chest. She looked like little more than a child, being only three feet tall.

Tynali glanced at Fiala half heartedly for a moment then looked back at it, “ Not sure if it’s alive? Hmm…” She jumped up from the leaf she sat upon and fluttered down to the creature, walking over it’s surface with very careful and delicate steps. She looked at it’s hard surface, eventually flying from place to place to get a full scope of what it looked like, “Fiala! Over here! There are strange markings on the beast!”

Tynali looked every which way at the markings, but still she could not understand them. She traced them with her toes as she moved along their shapes.

U.S.S. GENESIS

The marks made no sense. “Maybe…it’s cursed, maybe this is a curse put on it by the plagues of the Eastern continent. Maybe it’s sick, maybe that’s why it fell….” She tilted her head to the side. “It hasn’t tried to attack since it fell.”

A whisper rose from the trees then, ‘The elders are coming, they come to see the beast. To exact justice.’Tynali nodded and whispered back, telling them all that she had said to Fiala. She looked back at the other girl then, “The elders shall decide for certain, I suppose.”

This certainly was a day disturbed, even for Varena whom had been occupying a clearing directly in the path of the falling silver beast. It was with some luck that she could hear the sound as it came hurtling out of the sky and with her great height saw just over the toips of the trees as it came down ont he earth, sending a shower of matter and earth in her direction, heavy rocks once earthed now tossed like tiny pebbles in what appeared to be a destructive rage by this creature as it thundred along the ground like an allconsuming monster.

There was no time to stop and test its power though, it was tearing the forest to kindling, what good was a strong arm and a blade to that? All that was left was to turn and flee through the forest. In spite of her great build she was quiet agile and speedy. This speed only a gift due to her physical power. With her strength concentrated in her legs she would run small distances quite quickly, or even leap half a dozen meters at a time.

The silver beast was lurching closer to her with every second that passed in the mad rush through the forest until Varena found herself tripping suddenly, hitting the ground and rolling to a stop. There was just enough time to look up as it came to a final stop directly infront of her, she could easily reach up and touch it if she so desired, but it was emanating heat. Varena knew better than to stick around for it so quickly began to crawl away from it until she felt she was at a safer distance to observe it.

At the same time she breathed several sighs of relief. That was close, much too close. But what now..? It didnt appear to be doing anything else. No spiritual sound coming from it. Unlike others she couldnt fully make out the words of the natural world around her, just whispers in her mind, the spiritual sound only her elven half could make out. But there was a heavy lurch in her stomach as she realized something else.. So many would have died thanks to the destructive power of this being. She didnt need to be in tune with nature to know this.. She'd learned it from the creatures in this forest, and she knew for herself by the precious soul stone in her blade.

What a violent and sudden end for so many... So many murdered, so many lives taken so suddenly, there were no words in any known languages to describe such a horrific scene. So many others around the world simply dropping dead and ceasing to exist. But what to do now? Time couldnt be changed, those lives couldnt be saved, what fitting way to deal with this strange situation?

It was just by coincidence that Mahjii had glanced up from his daily walk through the forest when the silver thing came screaming down from the sky. It was enormous, bigger than any beast he had ever seen before. It had a burning bright red nose and strange limbs he had never seen before. He stood in awe as it smoked through the heavens, but his heart skipped a beat and stuck in his throat as he watched it crash into the earth with a deafening boom.

The cries of the dead and dying was almost overwhelming. Kaol squirmed around his neck and he had to cover his ears and kneel down. The sounds it made, it was unlike anything he had ever heard before, and he had heard just about any sound imaginable on this world. The air was thick with smoke and an acrid burning scent. The forest was on fire and he could hear so many voices crying out in anguish and outrage. He spoke to Kaol, the urgency in his voice making it clear how important her task was.

"Kaol, go back to the village, fast as you can, and tell them the forest is on fire, and there is a beast fallen from the sky. We need everyone's help if we are to save them. Go now."

"Yes Mahjii. Be careful, we do not know this thing..." she spoke to him before sliding off his shoulder and through the grass, back to the village.

His feet were moving and carrying him as fast as they could to the site of the beast. It took him quite some time to arrive, but when he did, he could hardly believe his eyes. It was so much bigger up close. It seemed to be restrained for now, tied down with so many vines, he was amazed at how far they could stretch. Would that hold it? It didn't seem to be moving. Was it dead?

Its sleek silver hide didn't so much as twitch, even as he approached. He walked along it, a trek that took quite a while, considering the massive size of the thing. Occasionally he would pause and mimic the sound it had made coming out of the sky. Even from his voice the noise was grating to the ears. Unnatural. Harsh. But it seemed to trigger no response from the thing. As he neared the nose of it, he heard voices and started to see the shapes of beings ahead. He rushed forward. He recognized some of them, but knew them not by name. He had traveled all over this world, but had no memory for every soul he met. He nodded at them each in turn before voicing his questions.

"Does anyone know...what it is? It does not respond to me. Does anyone know if it is dead?"

damien_leonheart 08-24-2009 06:43 AM

Kaiser continued to ponder the beast when he heard voices coming closer and turned to his brother, "Brother, return home and tell Mother of what we have found. I will stay until the elders cast their judgement."

'Very well Kaiser, we will await your return home.', he hissed before slithering back the way they had come.

Once his brother had left he made his way to the others who had just arrived on the scene. "Forgive my intrusion, but through his senses my brother had said that he smelt blood, fear, and death from inside the giant beast.", he paused and turned in the direction of the beast, "Almost as if the beast's prey still lived inside of it."

"I can not help but wonder if the fall had killed it.", he said as he drew a knuckle to the skin and tapped on it only to receive a hollow resonence from the beast. "How can such a thing be hollow? It is almost like a tree, a very distorted tree." After he had received the sound he had jumped back from the shock of the noise, "However it is no sound that I have ever encountered, have any of you?", he asked turning his head in the direction of the others.

Martel Irasia 08-24-2009 01:31 PM

Fiala spoke to the creature she was riding and it brought her near Tynali as she walked along the beast's surface. Fiala leaped off the creature's back and looked at the markings as well. It meant nothing to her. Even being able to speak in any language did not mean she could read it. She shook her head. "I have no idea what this means. But if it is a curse, perhaps the creature had no choice but to do this. It could be sick, or it may have been controlled by someone."

Fiala looked at the markings a long time, but could still make nothing of it. She looked down the side of the beast at the many newcomers and Fiala spoke to the creature. "Kimala, go awaken the others." She said softly to the creature and it ran off. She looked down at the one who has asked about the beast. Fiala jumped over the side of the beast, and still somehow managed to land on her feet.

She walked over to the newcomer and then she looked at the beast. "I'm not entirely sure what it is, or if it is alive or dead. It makes strange noises that not even I can understand." She said as she looked at the creature. "But it has strange markings on it's side, it may be sick. But it will not speak to me, nor can I understand it when it makes any noises." Fiala looked worried. "I fear what this thing may be."

Sinspiration 08-24-2009 07:05 PM

Varena had then observed as others came to the site of this beasts falling. One even tied it with great branches and vines, this awed Varena but she made little responce to that as she eventually came into the view of the others. Her elven ears had caught on to most of the conversation quite clearly, especially Kaiser's questioning of the creature and if it was alive at all.

"I am wondering this same thing myself, or if it was ever alive at all." She announced to make her presence known, tepping up to the beast and knocking on it. There was indeed no responce, but the feel of it, and the noise. She drew her sword out and stared at it for a time, she soul stone within glowing furiously with a rage at what had been done here. Varena did not allow it to go off on its own however as instead she knocked on the side of the blade.

The ring was barely familiar, but in essence it was the same, She thought about it for a few minutes before turning to the others,
"This thing has been forged. Like armor, like a sword. In the same way that mine did, it probably lost its spirit when it was forged." She held her weapon up, staring at it for a moment, but then sheathed it behind her hips, "Whatever it is, It is not alive. I cannot even feel anything that suggests it has a spirit, atleast not anymore. Surely you all can see the same..? You may well be judging an object with no remaining soul or personality left to be judged."

Varen turned to look up at the giant object. So much forged steel was unimaginable, what kind of mind could come up with something like this? Moreover, why did it land here? How did it eaven move? The soul stone she had was a possibility but then they would need to harness thousands upon thousands of the and manipulate them like some kind of slave force.
There was surely no way to figure it out. But she realized then that she was beginning to make assumptions much like the others.

They would have to wait until something happened. Or atleast Varena would contiue to observe.
"What if the forger of this thing had never intended something like this to happen?" Varena looked up at those so eager to pass down judgement to this thing, " But then again what if this was it's very purpose? We cannot judge it entirely without further knowledge of it, assumptions and ideas without evidence could possibly lead to more sorrow and damage."

Varena looked down to the end of the creature at the trail of destruction it had left, a pain in her chest begged to be clutched but at best she could only softly rake her fingers on her armor,
"I too am angered by what I am seeing, we know what it has done so far, it is unfortunate that this definitely must judged, but if it was with that destructive purpose in mind, or without knowledge at all, remains to be seen."

Varena looked at Kaiser and folded her arms,
"You mentioned this thing was hollow, correct? Then perhaps the answers lie within."

Saiytanya 08-26-2009 01:57 AM

Tynali looked to each person that had arrived in turn. “I don’t know what it is or if it is alive, or even if answers truly do lie within, but we are not the ones who should make that decision. We must wait fro the elders.” She waived her arms at the small group, “Back away now by order of Scout Ranger Tynali. We must await the elder.” She sat down on the beast then, arms and legs crossed. This time not looking at the beast but looking at the crowd with her professional expression on.

She wasn’t sure what was to come, but she hoped it was all for the best, she stat in silence until a soft breeze brushed her hair and she heard a gentle and very sweet voice. “I am ahead of my brethren,” It almost seemed to whisper and a woman seemed to form from the surrounding wind, constantly moving, “Is this the beast of which you speak?”

Tynali stood immediately at attention, “Yes, ma’ame!”

The windy woman flew around the beast and back, a worried expression appearing on her face, “This is no beast. This is a vessel, a construct from the stars. I only hope they have not come to destroy us. We shall wait for the remainder of the elders. Before we determine our course of action.”

It was then that a strange sound came from one of the holes in the beast and the elder moved near it to listen. “Attention crew of the U.S.S. Genesis. This is Captain James Murdock speaking. As I’m sure many of you have noticed, some strange things have been happening to us since we woke up…”

The elder turned to the others, “Can any of you understand these noises?”

Martel Irasia 08-26-2009 02:53 PM

Fiala stepped forward when the elder asked in any of them could understand. She wasn't entirely sure how, but those words had been completely clear to her. "I believe I understood what that was. I think I can even translate it." She sighed and took a deep breath.

“Attention crew of the U.S.S. Genesis. This is Captain James Murdock speaking. As I’m sure many of you have noticed, some strange things have been happening to us since we woke up…”

"And that's all that was said." Fiala said softly. "I believe it was also the voice of a male. I'm not sure what the meaning behind the words is, but I understood the dialect fairly well." She looked at the elder. "I certainly hope that whoever was just speaking is not hostile." Fiala said softly.

Shira continued to fly over the beast, but then the elder arrived and those strange words. She noticed a young native. A girl who claimed to understand the sounds that had emmited from the silver beast. Shira sighed and folded her legs in a sitting position, her wings still flapping enough to keep her in the air.

Pacifico had landed gracefully onto the grass, a maneuver only done from years of practice. He'd made it to the terrible scene as Varena was speaking of the large, silver mass that was in front of them. He watched her knock on the...thing and he tilted his head in confusion, golden locks tumbling around him as he did so.

His mind registered what the thing was sitting on and his mouth opened in shock. It was horrifying really, to see such carnage. How many unnatural deaths have occurred today?

It seemed there voices faded out of focus. All he heard was white noise as the tears began to fall down his cheeks. He made no move to hide or wipe them away. Pacifico didn't feel hate for the thing in front of him, only immeasurable grief and sorrow. How much beauty and light was taken out of the world today?

He would grieve for the many who'd died today, show respect for them in another way then the others were. He was about to take out his violin and ask the scout ranger(In his own way) if he could play a song for the dead, but the wind garden had come and he froze, watching in awe. He'd never met her in person...

Saiytanya 09-03-2009 02:56 AM

The elder floated in thought for a long moment, “It seems that the creatures in this vessel are very confused.”

Just as she spoke several other creatures approached. All of them looked young and vibrant despite their ages. There was the great tree spirit, whose wings looked like giant five point leaves; the great mountain spirit, his body stony and hard; the spirit of the ocean, currently in her watery form. There were many other elders, but it seemed that not all were available to come.

The air Elder turned to the others and began to tell them what had happened.

Tynali turned and looked at the small crowd that had gathered. There were quite a few, but she moved over to the nearest one, which happened to be Fiala as the Elders pulled away fro a short pow-wow.

“What do you think they’re going to do?” She directed her words towards all the people that watched, even though she spoke toward Fiala.

Her mind tossed and turned as she asked the question. A vessel? This was the oddest and most frightening thing to ever happenin the history of the Great Mother. It was like the end of the world was coming. What strange creatures could make a vessel like this? Were they good, and this was just and accident? Or had they inteanded to harm her brothers and sisters? Where they like the creatures of the Western continent, consumers, destroyers? What was going to happen to them now?

Sinspiration 09-03-2009 06:37 AM

Varena looked up at the elder with some amazement, and some amusement. Many creatures bowed tot hem, almost religiously, but it was easy to stand by them because they were visible figures. Thought visible figures meant they were just as mortal. However she was wise and she was correct, so Varena couldn't argue. Varena couldn't know for certain what this was, but a construct from the stars? A vessel that reached out from the stars themselves? This was almost unbelievable, then then, it was difficult to conceive something so large and complex being forged.

four large crystals cut forth from the ground at this point, bending and shift to form a platform behind her, upon which she sat down, the back of it raised whilst she placed her sword on the ground, leaning back in the crystal chair she had formed and crossed her legs in quite the ladylike fashion in spit of her arm, it was built so well that it allowed her to do this action comfortably.
The sword, on the other hand, refused to stay on the ground, hovering into the air and bouncing around almost playfully, it was practically showing Varena's own excitement in a more visible fashion. She had already had quite the adrenaline rush, but now the thought of encountering a new peoples capable of such a complex and vast creation, who knew what kind of powerful fighters they were, perhaps one would even give her a good sparring match? But she supposed she should not get ahead of herself.

The half ogress adjusted her scarf, assuring it continued to hide her face correctly, though her eyes wandered tot hose still within viewing range. There were certainly some interesting beings about. She never got bored on this continent.

Martel Irasia 09-03-2009 02:25 PM

"Maybe I can see outside this way." He said softly, the sound of his voice echoing slightly. "This is too weird." He walked forward and passed through the wall into a room. But he kept moving forward, trying to see if he could pass outside the ship and see what it looked like outside. He finally found another wall, and he passed through, even though it was really thick.

It took only a moment longer, but he found himself looking at a forest. It was amazingly beautiful and peaceful. He smiled and turned to look at the ship. Surprised to see it covered in vines, he wondered just how long it had been crashed and he ran back inside, disregarding that he'd seen people standing outside.

Fiala looked at Tynali and shook her head. "I have no idea what all the others will do, and as for these beings within, I don't know what they will do either." She sighed and looked up at the large silver thing, but she noticed movement, something was standing just at the edge of the beast. A man, dressed in a strange outfit was looking up at the beast. Not even a moment later, it dashed back through the surface and was gone. Fiala fell to the ground in shock that she had even seen it. She couldn't find her voice, so she merely pointed at the large silver vessel.

Saiytanya 09-09-2009 02:22 AM

Tynali's head turned the moment she saw Fiala's hand point, but she saw nothing. She tilted her head to one side and stared for a moment, thinking there was something amiss on the surface of the beast, but there only seemed to be a hole, and Tynali had known there were holes. Was there maybe a trapped bug or a blood smear. Some of the residents of this world had never seen blood and it shocked them. But there was nothing.

So she flew to the location with great speed, sticking her head in ever so slightly, but still there was nothing, She turned and waved at Fiala, "There's nothing here? Are you alright?" She shouted, but due to a simultaneous 'shh' from the elders she cupped her hand over her mouth a flew back to Fiala's side.

Tynali looked at her with a curious expression, "I see nothing Fiala, what are you pointing at? Please tell me?"

Not long after The wind Elder disappeared into nothing but a scattered wind, here breezy and formless self disappearing into the very hole they'd been standing at, she was to investigate the beast without notice.

Silverbeam 09-09-2009 03:34 AM

While Treeta didn't hear the initial shock wave of the crash, word spread so fast, that it was only a few minutes before she learned of it. As curiosity drove her, she couldn't help but head toward it at her fastest tree gliding/jumping speed. She leaped from tree to tree, gliding when branches were far from each other.

She arrived on the opposite side of the others, she at first felt the sadness for the life that was lost, but then she saw the biggest shiny she had ever seen.

"Look at that!" She whistled , her tail whipping around in excitement. She immediately scampered over to it, leaping upon it. She slipped and scrambled, almost falling off, but she caught a hold one of the panels and some weird skinny metal twigs sticking out of it. (Antenna) She began trying to pull things off and seeing if there was a way inside. there was a hole a bit further up that looked promising.

Martel Irasia 09-09-2009 12:50 PM

Fiala stayed rooted on the spot and stared at the place where the being had come out of the beast and gone back in. She turned her head to look at Tynali. "I saw someone walked out of the beast. Vessel... It went back in, but it passed through the surface. I can't understand this. I know I saw it." Fiala said as she lifted her hands to her face. She merely shook her head and tried to calm herself.

damien_leonheart 09-11-2009 03:47 AM

Kaiser was about to answer Varena when he felt the ground shake under him and also smelled Mother on the wind coming this way. He turned to face the trees just as she burst from the forest.

"Young one, pleasse tell me why you ssent your brother back to the den." She hissed as Kaiser physically cringed under her gaze. Even though one eye was sealed shut by a scar, Mother had unbelievable control over the power in her eye.

"Mother, please forgive me. I only wanted to get a closer look and Brother has been known to be hot-headed on occasions.", he stated before going into a explanation about the situation with the vessel....thing. Just after he explained everything, he heard someone saying that the saw someone come from inside of it. "Mother, did you see what she was talking about a moment ago?"

"I am sorry my child but it must have happened while I was lisstening to you.", she said while shaking her head and glanced over to where the elder of wind had vanished.

Tynali place a tiny hand on Fiala's shoulder, "You gonna be okay? I know this is really scary, but the elders will figure thing out, don't worry."

She looked around, hoping that something around her would offer her suggestions, but none seemed to come, all they could really do for now was wait, wait for the elders to decide what was to be done.

After a long while, the Elder Air elemental came out in a whoosh of wind and reforming her body. She was immediately surrounded by the other elders and they conversed in lo tones before finally opening up. The Air Elder moved toward the small crowd that had gathered. "We would like five volunteers. Their duties will be to observe the creatures within if they should come out, you are NOT to enter the vessel. You are to remain hidden, not to be seen. Watch them, and if they should attempt to harm another of our brethren, tell the tree to send for us and do what you can to stop them." She looked about at the crowd, "Do we have any volunteers?"

Tynali immediately flew up to the Elder, "I will volunteer, Elder. I will observe the creatures."

Fiala stepped forward as well. "I would like to volunteer for this. I am curious as to these creatures, and should they manage to find any of us, I hope to be able to communicate with them." She said calmly. She was feeling anxious and worried, and she wasn't sure she wanted to go and leave any of the others here alone. If she had been the only one to understand that sound from earlier, it might be necessary for her to stay behind. "I may be the only one capable of it."

Kaiser listened to the elder before responding, "I would like to volunteer as well." He turned to Mother with a set look on his face. "Mother, please return to the den and stay there with Brother. I shall try to be home as soon as I can."

"Very well, young one, I sshall go back. Pleasse do not put yoursself in harmss way because of your curioussity.", she replied before bending her head down and touching her muzzle to Kaiser's forehead in a motherly kiss before she headed out into the forest.

She continued to scramble toward the hole. Shinnies surely must be inside. It was then that a little figure crawled out of her pocket. A white squirrel like character chided at her noisily.

"No I'm not getting into trouble...This is adventure! And Look at how shiny everything is!" the little one flitted to her shoulder and then crawled down her body to the metal surface. the creature sniffed then tried an experimental lick.
the creature shot up back to the girl's shoulder, an expression of disgust.

"no I don't imagine it tastes very good. her have a fruit drop instead." She pulled out a berry and gave it to her friend. It snatched at it and hungrily ate at it.

Meanwhile Treeta continued to make her way to the hole and perhaps the way in.
