"I'm alright, just a bump in the road, thats all." He said, grinning with clenched teeth. I am so lucky i have someone who cares for me.... He thought leanin back on the hay next to Talon.
"I can see the village walls up ahead..." The farmer called back. "We'll be through in a minute, you guys aren't criminals, are you?" "No, don't worry." Coy shouted back. (im not gonna be on much this week, i have a school project that needs to be done...) |
[[Dont worry about that post when you are ready xD]]
Talon gave a weak smile at Coy as he leant back again she did the same relaxing before hearing the farmers voice. She listened to what he said they where near the village she flinched slightly asking if they where criminals, did they really like criminals. |
Coy let out a yawn and put his hands behind his head. He looked over at Talon smiled. Things were working out alright for once. No monsters, no more running, soon they will be in the city, safe from harm and...
"Hey you." Said a gruff tone next to the cart. Coy looked over and found a rather large man in a suit of armor staring at him. The cart had stopped. Coy looked back around the stacks of hay to find that they had stopped at a stone wall. The guard looked nerviously at the picture in his hand and back at Talon and Coy. "I-It's them! The one Ragnarok's looking for!" He shouted to the other guard. Coy jumped up on the cart, despite his leg, and drew his swords. In a second they were surrounded by guards, all with their long spears pointing at them. "Stop!" Shouted a voice up front. A small mand waddled up to the back of the cart, passing the dumbfounded farmer along the way. "Ricky, what are you doing at the gate?" Coy asked the small man. "I'm a fortune teller, remember? Lower your weapons!" He barked at the guards. "B-But sir.... Ragnarok said...." "No buts! Now lower them." The guards did as they were told. "These people are honored guests, I expect they be treated as such!" He yelled at the guards. "Now get back to your stations." The armored clad men scrambled back into the wall in fear of this little old man in a robe. "Sorry about that, Coy. The giant oafs still think Rag is our savior, pffttt!" Ricky said, walking up to the wagon. Coy sheathed his swords and sat back down, his leg hurting a little. "You're injured? Hmmmm.... No problem, we'll have that fixed up for you." Ricky looked over at Talon, running his fingers through his long white hair. "Whos this?" He asked, looking back up at Coy. "This is Talon, she's my frie....girlfriend." Coy said, blushing and looking back at Talon. "Talon, this is Ricky, an old friend of mine." Coy said, scratching his head. "He's an expert on aincient relics." (sorry about the giant block of text, feeling extra creative today.....) |
[:O no problem lol]]
Talon smiled softly at Coy, she stretched and yawned quietly. Talon heard a voice as she glanced around seeing who it was. She soon caught sight of a man in armour she didn’t say anything. Talon went wide eyed as the Guard shouted she moved back slightly ‘Ragnarok’ she thought. Talon watched as Coy jumped he she was surprised with a bad leg, she pushed herself up also pulling out one of the daggers it was too late guards had surrounded them. Talon looked at the small man that stopped the guards; she was confused as Coy spoke to him. Talon put her weapon away as she crouched down next to Coy “be careful” she said in a quiet voice. Talon blushed slightly as Coy mentioned her as a girlfriend. She looked back over to the man in a robe she bowed her head slightly like she always did when meeting others, her elf ears move slightly. |
"Pleasure to meet you dear." The old man smiled and bowed. "We should get going to my house, it's not safe out here." He said, motioning the two to follow him.
All three arrived at Ricky's house a few minutes later. Once inside, the old man locked the doors, sat down, and pulled out a pack of tarot cards. "Can you help Coy to the couch over there." He said to Talon, dealing them out on a table in front of him. |
Talon didn’t say anything but smiled shyly as she nodded her head slightly, she followed the old man to the house.
She was holding onto Coy as they walked to the house he wasn’t heavy at all, she listened to what the old man said and placed Coy down carefully onto the coach. |
"What are you doing? Reading the future." Coy asked, now sitting upright on the couch, his leg raised up on the table. "No, I'm playing solitaire, you can't use mere cards to tell the future." Ricky, fiddled and moved the cards around the table. "You can have a seat too, if you like." He asked talon, looking up from the tarot cards.
|
Talon looked down at Ricky and nodded, she sat down quickly next to Coy as he looked him into the Coys. She turned her head to Ricky. Talon laughed slightly at Ricky’s sarcastic comment.
|
{whoa, i think you just killed grammar itself o.O, "into the Coy's"? there are two of me?!}
"Ricky, what was with the guards earlyer? I thought they were all under Rag's controll." Coy asked the little man, who was buisy flitting through his cards. "It helps being a fortune teller in a superstitious town, they think everything I say will happen, most of it has..." Ricky paused and looked up at Coy, giving him a wicked smile. "That means I can say they will die next week, scare the crap outa them. No one wants to get me angry, they all think i controll the future, what fools....Oh, would you look at that, I won." Ricky said, looking back down at his cards. |
[[Sorry about that it was late when I posted I was sleepy]]
Talon looked up at Coy ‘controlled by Rag’ she thought as she glanced over at Ricky. Talon went slightly wide eyed it seemed Ricky was powerful she didn’t say anything as she looked down at his cards. |
"So, about the artifact you wanted me to see." Ricky said, squaring the deck and sticking it in his pocket. Coy looked dumbfounded. "Ahem, I'm a fortune teller, I take pride in knowing these things." Ricky said smiling, tapping his head.
|
Hearing Ricky mention the amulet she looked up quickly feeling it still around her neck she looked into Ricky’s eyes. She glanced over at Coy, she took the necklace off holding it in front of Ricky “this one” she said quietly.
|
Ricky's eyes widened when the necklace made contact with his palm. He sat there for a moment, dumbfounded. "W-Where did you get th-this?" He stammered, a sweat drop sliding down his wrinkled forhead.
|
Talon looked at Ricky “from the Secret tomb of the great Dragons” she said quickly she didn’t like talking to strangers she felt really uncomfortable. She blushed slightly with shyness as she looked at the necklace instead.
|
"I-I think I'm gonna need to study this.... You two, make yourselves at home, go explore the town if you like. It may be a few days..." He said, waddling off up a spiral staircase.
"So, what do you want to do, Talon?" Coy asked, looking at her and tilting his head. |
Talon watched as Ricky left the room with the necklace she felt bare without it around her neck. She looked up at Coy feeling more relaxed “I don’t mind” she said showing a small smile on her face a she looked into his eyes.
|
Coy smiled back. At least we've made it this far..... He thought, looking around the room for a walking stick, only to find one on the table in front of him. "How did he...."
"Fortune teller!" Came a shout from upstairs. Coy chuckled and grabbed the walking stick. It took a few tries, but he managed to stand up. He swayed a little, but got his balance back. "I want to see what's in the town. You coming?" |
Talon laughed softly as he heard Ricky. She looked back at Coy she stood up and walked next to him “What you said before am I really your girlfriend?” she asked shyly as she looked into his eyes a small smile on hr face.
|
Coy blushed. "Uh, ya, I guess, unless you don't want to be." He said quietly. One thought shot through his mind. Did I do something wrong?....
|
She smiled softly as she walked over to Coy she kissed him softly on the cheek. Blushing slightly she looked into her eyes "I want to be" she said in a soft tone. She wondered Ricky being a fortune teller he could see this happen.
|
Coy's thoughts dissapeared when she kissed him, even on the cheek. "Yes, I did see that earlyer, Talon." Ricky yelled. "What is he talking about?" Coy asked, looking at the spiral staircase.
Upstairs (completely unrelated to what had happened), Ricky was tinkering with the necklace. He had an old pipe in his hand and was fiddling with a depression in the back. "Curious..." He said to himself, then kept working. |
Talon laughed slightly hearing Ricky shout it was funny but kind of weird to Talon at the same time she had only met one other fortune teller from her home village. "Should we go for a walk?" she asked quietly smiling at Coy.
|
*english language stabs itself with a pen in the heart* (now look at what you made him do!)
Coy nodded his head. The two walked outside. The sun was a little higher then before. Vendors were just opening up shop. Mothers tried to calm their crying children, farmers pulled their animals along with them. "Looks like an ordinary town. Where to?" Coy asked, smiling at Talon. |
[[Whats wrong??]]
Talon walked out of the house next to Coy the smile still on her face. She looked up the sky seeing the sun was much higher know, there was a few scattered cloudless. She looked at Coy "i don't mind" she said softly she hadn't been to village like this in a long time she didnt mind going anywhere. |
(you murdered the english language again in your last post XD)
"Alright then..." Coy looked around. It was still the average village. "This place looks boring." A cow mooed somewhere. "How about we just walk aimlessly and see where we turn up?" |
