Name: Alexandria Jay Wildren
Age: 17 Gender: Female Personality: Alexandria is a tomboy through and through. She loves to fight and be in the middle of things. She can't, and won't, take things sitting down. She may seem pretty rash, but Alexandria does think important things through. She might not look it, but she's very caring about people whom she love. But if she does get upset by someone, she stays upset. She not easily moved to tears, but she does have a soft side for females, children, and animals. Bio: Alexandria is the fifth child of seven children. To make things worse, she's the daughter of the King and Queen of a large kindgom. Alexandria is hardly paid attention to because of her older and younger sisters and brothers. But thats how she likes it. She doesn't like too much attention to herself. With the help of her best friend, a captain of the guards, she sneaks daily out of the castle dressed as a boy. On the streets, she is known as Jaden, another orphan to the many already in the large city. She gets into as many fights as she wants to and sometimes even pick pocketing until the day is over and she is back as a princess. Appearance: http://i637.photobucket.com/albums/u...moron/punk.jpg |
Name: Tyne Mouton
Age: 17 Personality: Tyne is a dreamer. She's always dreamed of a better life than taking care of sheep on her family's farm and making yarn from their wool. She wants to be a proper lady and saves up her money to run away to the city. She's headstrong, but horrible at speaking up for herself and tends to let things pass without speaking out against them. She just lets problems stew until she explodes in a big tantrum of tears and yelling. She's embarrassed afterward, because she's very proud and doesn't like to be seen as weak or naive. She's a girly girl at heart with a strong desire for pretty dresses and jewels, but she's not stupid enough to accept the offers of men at the tavern. Bio: Tyne grew up in a family of shepherds working sheep's wool into yarn. Her mother died giving birth to her and she nearly died too, as a result, her multiple siblings spoiled her and she grew up thinking she was meant for more than sitting around turning wool into yarn. She ran away to the capital at 16, convinced that she could find a better life there. Instead, she ended up living in an overcrowded halfway house with no privacy. Her belongings were stolen her first night there leaving her with only the clothes on her back and the headscarf that was her mother's. She ended up working at a nearby tavern scrubbing pots and serving beer to scary grabby men. She's too proud to go home and admit defeat and still dreams that one of the many gentlemen in the city will rescue her from the life she's gotten stuck in. Alexandriaxxxxx People took one look at Alexandria Wildren and they were filled with a sense of awe, reverence and fear. Only sixteen years old and she had people ready to kill themselves just because she said so. It was a dangerous power, but thankfully she didn't had to deal with it. As the fifth child of seven, she was often looked over. It only made matters worse that she was a girl, inable to inherit the throne. This was only one of the reasons she hated men. They had everything and did none of the work. It wasn't fair in Alexandria's eyes, but she could do nothing about it. She was a woman after all. To make matters worse, she acted nothing like a princess. She skipped classes, took to wearing men clothing, and hides her hair. There were romours circling that she was actually a boy in girl's clothing. If only they knew. When people took one look at Jaden, they were filled with a sense of respect, dislike, and sometimes curiousity. She received respect from the many orphans she had met and befriended from her travels. She received dislike from the people who only saw her as another orphan ready to steal their possessions. She received curiousity from everyone because no one knew who Jaden was or where he came from. She stayed for only a few hours before returning back to the castle. She was a mystery and she loved it. Today, she was walking along the streets with her gold in her shoes. A hat was placed over her head, hiding her bright red hair. Her gray eyes scanned the streets, looking for any type of food she could find. She had brought money so she wouldn't have to pick pocket. She didn't like to, but she sometimes forgot to bring a few coins with her. Alexandria smiled politely at a few gossiping old women who were staring at her. They blushed in embarrassment at being caught and turned around. She laughed. The townspeople were so funny sometimes. But she shouldn't be embarrassing old women. She had to eat. She was hungry. Alexandria stopped once she saw one of the orphans standing outside a tavern. It was Austin, one of the first people who she met when she first started these daily trips. The blonde boy stopped when he saw her. A smile broke over his face. "Jade! Glad you're here. You always have money. Let's split the bill," the boy said. His green eyes were laughing. Alexandria shook her head and laughed. "Alright," she said, "but you're paying me back, you lazy bum." The two of them laughed as they entered the tavern. Ignoring the suspicious glance they got from the tavern owner, the two teens sat near the corner, talking in whispers. "I hear' dat one of the workers here is a dame. Think I have a chance?" Austin whispered hotly. Alexandria smirked and shook her head. She didn't understand how boys could only think about girls all the time. "Not unless she likes boys who dig through trash just to find underwear," Alexandria teased. The blonde playfully punched him and they laughed together in good humour. Alexandria really didn't mean anything bad about it. Everyone knew that the orphans were the poorest of the poor. They had no where to go. Alexandria wished she could just allow the orphans to move in with her. Her family had the room, but not the heart to. xxxxxWildren |
Tyne had just finished scrubbing out the porridge pots from breakfast and was sitting down to enjoy her meager meal of bread and cheese when the owner's wife burst into the kitchen.
"Little beggars, dirtying up our tavern," the large beefy woman muttered. She turned and looked down at Tyne sitting by the large hearth. "You. Go take care of those little heathens out there. Don't give them anything if they don't give you money first." The woman might not like having the urchins in the tavern, but she'd take their money all the same. Tyne sighed and wrapped he lunch back up in her kerchief. She knew better than to argue with the owner's wife. She'd been smacked by the damn wooden paddle the woman kept tied to her belt enough times to know not to. She set her lunch aside and stood up, brushing the soot from her dress as she walked out of the kitchen and into the tavern's dining hall. There were lots of rough wooden tables and chairs around and a bar where the tavern keeper was leaning while chatting with a customer. The tavern wasn't very busy since it was after breakfast, but before lunch. Soon people would be coming in to eat and they'd get busy in the kitchen again. But until then it was quiet. She spotted the two boys that the owner's wife was talking about and walked over to them. One was a local orphan, she'd seen him around before, but the other one was a stranger to her. A kind of nice looking stranger actually. A slight flush crossed her cheeks and she hoped it's too dim in there to tell. "Can I help you?" she asked as she stopped before their table and looked between them. |
Alexandriaxxxxx Alexandria did not like how the tavern owner was looking at them. She looked like the two of them were the scum of the earth. She didn't take things like that sitting down. Austin looked to where she was glaring at. He laughed. "Don't let that hag get to you. She's a greedy old bird," he said. Alexandria laughed. "Yeah," she said softly. Austin went on talking about the working girl. Alexandria was hardly paying attention. She was too busily calculating how long she had before she had to return back to the castle. Austin watched her for a second before saying, "Hey, Jade, I got to tell ya' something. I took-" Austin didn't have time to finish because the waiter came for their order. Alexandria looked up to the girl. She silently hummed under her breath. She wasn't special to look at. She was just another townsgirl with average face and body. Austin didn't act like that. Alexandria laughed seeing his baffled expression. Austin was silent as he stared at her. It was strange, because Austin usually talked a mile a minute. Alexandria smirked. 'He must really like her,' she thought. Alexandria's gray eys landed on the waiter. "We'll like two ginger ales please. Bring two meat sandwhiches, m'am," Alexandria said, kicking her best friend under the table. Austin glared before sheepishly grinning at the teenager. "Uh...yeah," he said dumbly. Alexandria shook her head. She firmly placed her hat on top of her head, making sure her red hair was secure. "And then maybe you can tell us your name. I'm Jaden. Jade for short. This deaf and dumb person is Austin," Alexandria said happily. xxxxxWildrenxxxxx |
Tyne blushed. "Hi," she said. "I'm Tyne. Um, I need your money before I can bring your food. It's going to be six silvers." She sort of felt bad asking for their money like this, but they had had people eat and run off before.
She could feel the owner staring at them and shifted uncomfortably. She hated the way he looked at her and she was pretty sure that was just another reason that the owner's wife took out her frustration on her. She wasn't like some of the other girls that worked here though. She wasn't going to sleep with someone for extra money. It was true that she needed more, enough to move out of where she was now, maybe buy some nicer clothes, but it wasn't worth sleeping with people for. Though, if she was going to do that, it would have to be someone nice looking, like this Jade fellow, not a big fat old tavern keeper with missing teeth and bad breath. She smiled sympathetically as she waited for some money. She was almost afraid she'd have to ask them to leave and she wasn't really good at that. People usually ignored her and the owner had to come kick them out. |
Alexandria smiled. She liked that name. Tyne. It was short and simple. Not like her name. Alexandria. Then she scowled at the fact that they had to pay before they received their food. It was obvious that this was usual protocol. She knew why. The owners saw hers and Austin's dirty appearances and ratted clothes and instanly thought they would run without paying. Alexandria knew better than that. She knew that Austin knew too. He may have been rough around the edges, but he had strong points too. "Yeah, I see," she said shortly. She understood that it wasn't the waiter's fault but she needed someone to take her fustrations out on.
Alexandria's gray eyes landed on the owner. He was busy staring at the waitress. Alexandria frowned. 'Men,' she thought disgustedly. This was another reason why she hated some men. When the owner's eyes landed on her, she drew her hand across her neck in a threatening manner. The man turned red in anger before looking away. Alexandria sighed. Austin laughed. "You're something else, Jade," Austin laughed. Alexandria smiled. "I just hate men is all," she said with a shrug. The two of them pulled out money. "Don't bother, Austin. I'll pay it in full," Alexandria said. She didn't want Austin wasting his hard own money. He needed it more than she did. Austin grinned, before saying his thanks. Alexandria pulled out the correct amount with a few coins more before placing it own on the table. She looked up to Tyne. "You can keep the change for something you want...Tyne," she told Tyne with a smile. |
Tyne blushes brightly. "Th-thank you," she stammers as she sweeps the coins into her hand, staring at them for a moment. Usually when she got a tip, a man expected things of her, but she didn't get that impression with Jade. She smiled at him and his friend. "I'll be right back with your food."
She hurries over to the owner, asking him for two ginger ales and putting the required six coins on the counter, keeping the rest secretly for herself. She knows that she'll have to keep them secret or else the owner's wife will try to take them away. She likes to steal her worker's tips, because nobody ever gives her any. She pulls out her handkerchief and wraps the coins in it as she pretends to wipe her nose, then quickly shoves it back in her pocket, glad when they don't jingle. She heads into the back kitchen. "Well? Did they give you money?" The owner's wife demands. "Yes ma'am. Six silver for two meat sandwiches and two ginger ales." The woman nods, her neck wobbling as she does so. "Good enough. Should habe charged more," she grumbles as she makes the two sandwiches on crusty brown rolls. "Here, bring them out." She pushes two plates at Tyne. "Yes ma'am," she says, collecting the plates and heading back out of the door. She collects the two mugs of ginger ale from the bar and brings it all over to Jade and Austin. "Here is your lunch," she says, setting down the plates and mugs. |
Alexandria smiled. "It was my pleasure," she said. The two watched her as she walked away. Austin sighed. "I made a fool out of myself," he said. Alexandria laughed and patted him on the back. "Not everyone can be charming," Alexandria said with a laugh. They laughed some more before Austin looked out the door. Alexandria watched as his emotions changed from happiness, worried, and then fear. 'What is he thinking?' he thought. Too preoccupied with finding out what Austin was seeing, she didn't realize that the blonde had shuffled a bag under her seat. They looked at each other. Austin grinned. "Thanks, I owe ya'," he said. Alexandria smiled. At least he was feeling better.
"You actually owe me a lot," Alexandria answered back. Austin waved an impatient hand but didn't say anything else about it. They both looked up when Tyne returned to with their food. Alexandria made a face at the obviously half-made meal. Austin laughed. "What do you expect? We're nothing but trash to them," Austin said as if it was a common thing. It wasn't common to Alexandria and she didn't like it. She looked up to Tyne. She smiled. "Want to join us, Tyne? We'll keep our hands to ourselves. Promise," she asked. She think that if Austin were to actually talk to this girl, she might get to know him better. From the corner of her eyes she saw Austin look at her in a confused manner. |
Tyne fidgets. "I'd like that, but..." she looks back where the owner is watching her. "I might get in trouble." Despite saying that, she can't help but look longingly at the meat on their sandwiches. Despite the owner's wife being a horrible person, she is a good cook and everything here tastes good. It's not often that she gets to eat meat. Sometimes she'll get to pick some meat off leftover bones or eat the burnt end pieces of some of the meat, but mostly she eats a lot of bread and cheese and fruits.
She'd like to feel normal again and sit down to eat with other people instead of acting like a kitchen slave. But that's really what her life has become since she came to the city. At least at home, after the work was done there was time for talking with other people and letting some of the neighbor boys flirt with her. But here, she really only does two things. Work and sleep. She knows that she could go home, but she's too proud to admit that she made a big mistake. And who knows, maybe, if she keeps hoping and working, maybe she will find a handsome nobleman to take her away from this Inn and the grabbing hands of the patrons and the paddle of the owner's wife. |
Alexandria sighed. Oh how difficult it was to be someone else's slave! She now understood for some of the servants what it was like to be lesser thana someone. That was the reason she came to town. To see how it was like. She had seen it and now she wasn't so sure if she liked it. People were always putting each other bad even when they had nothing themselves. It was saddening really. "For once, don't worry about them. He, I'll get them extra for their kind sevices. Besides, you look like you're about to cave from hunger," Alexandria laughed. Austin looked at her funny.
"You're sure you can do that?" he asked. Alexandria nodded. She knew she was risking having someone find out she was rich, but she didn't care. The poor girl looked like she hadn't eaten right for days. And Alexandria obviously had the money. Alexandria smiled at Tyne. "Just sit, Tyne. We mean no harm. I give you my word," she assured the serving girl. Alexandria raised her right hand to prove her point. |
Tyne nodded, glancing back at the owner, but then turning around to take a seat next to Jaden. The offer of food and money is just so tempting, especially when there seem to be no strings attached. She sits on the rough wooden chair a bit tense, but slowly relaxing. She smiles at the boys, a bit of a blush staining her cheeks now that she realizes she's sitting down to lunch with two boys. "Thank you."
It's been a long time since she's sat down at a table and eaten. In fact, she can't remember the last time. She's usually busy stuffing food in her face standing up, whenever she can get a minute to herself. Sitting down is blissful though. Off of her feet, her aching back seems to thank her for the change of position. But the silence at the table keeps things awkward. "Um...Where are you both from?" She asks. |
Alexandria hid her laugh behind her hand and with a cough. The girl looked so uncomfortable. It was so cute. Austin obviously saw her discomfort as well, but wisely choose not to say anything about it. The girl was already a wreck with her job. Being a serving wrench wasn't the best job to be. But they both suppose it was better than having no job. Austin didn't have a job, because no one wanted an orphan. Alexandria didn't have a job because it was forbidden. They both saw her look change from that of tension to relaxation.
Alexandria slid her lunch to Tyne. "Here. I'm not that hungry," she said. Truth was that she was starving. But Tyne seemed to need it more than she did. Tyne had only this place. Alexandria had a whole castle. Alexandria looked at Tyne at her question. How should she answer that. No one knew of Jaden's past, and she wanted to keep it like that. It would do no good if she told some random girl where she lived. Austin answered, "Born and raised off the streets, Tyne. True blue hell raiser." Then Austin's eyes turned to Alexandria. He didn't know where Alexandria lived either. He hoped he would find out today. Alexandria smiled. "That's classified my dear," she answered. Austin snorted, then took a bite from his sandwich. "Figures," he said. He looked at Tyne. "Don't bother trying to know anything about this guy. He comes and goes as he pleases. The only way you do know that's he been there is the large stack of gold he spends. Personally, I think he's some lord's son," Austin explained. Alexandria laughed. That wasn't too far from the truth. To change the subject from her, Alexandria asked, "What about you Tyne? You don't sound from around here." |
Tyne's eyes widen at the offer of the sandwich. "I can't eat it! It's yours," she says. Besides, she's pretty sure that she can't even eat it all. "I'll um...can I eat a piece of meat from it?"
She turns to smile at Austin and then answers Jaden. "I'm from Massey. My family keeps sheep and we made yarn. I wanted to see the city though. So I came here." And of course, she wishes that she hadn't. She was never starving at home. She'd worked hard, but not ever more than she could handle. But only in her head would she ever admit what a huge mistake she'd made. Of course she wouldn't tell these two boys. Although, Austin's theory that Jaden might be a Lord's son does make her heartbeat pick up. Maybe this is what she's been waiting for? She tries to push down the hope, not wanting to have it crushed. But it's hard not to hope. |
Alexandria waved an impatient hand. "Go on. Go on. You look half way dead. Take the whole thing. Just eat in small bites. I just will eat at home. My ser-sister will have something for me." Alexandria breathed deeply after her near slip of the tongue. She couldn't have them finding out that she had servants. Austin's theory will nearly be completed and the blonde could never keep his mouth shut. She only hoped they didn't notice. Thankfully, Austin didn't notice. Alexandria turned to Tyne. She smiled.
"Really?" she questioned incredibly, "I always loved the country. I went there once. The wide open spaces and fresh trees were beautiful. The folks there weren't horrible either." She remembered the last time she was out in the country. One of her sisters was being married. They stayed there for three days. Alexandria never felt so alive than she did when she was out in the open spaces. The place was beautiful, unlike the city. Alexandria stared hard at Tyne. "Are you sure that this was the better choise. Sure, the country people are hard-working people, but they looked out for each other. I plan on moving there as soon as I can," she said. For some reason, she felt that this girl wasn't as happy as she let on. It was all over her face. |
"I won't be able to eat it all. I'll just have a little and we can share," she insisted, stealing a few pieces of meat from the sandwich to nibble on. She's too distracted by the meat to catch the slip and just munches on it happily as Jaden talks about the country.
"I do miss it," she admits. "All my family and having free time." But that's all she says because any more and it will make it sound like she was wrong. Which, she was, but she just hates admitting it. "Where in the country do you want to move? What would you do there?" She asks, hoping to distract him from herself, maybe learn a little about him. |
Alexandria frowned. She put her hand to her chin in thought as she stared at Tyne. The girl was obviously starving. She wanted to change that. This girl was so nice she didn't deserve to be half way starving to death. 'Maybe I can send food and money. Of course Leon will have to do it,' she thought. She hated how some of her subjects were being treated. "We're just going to have to change that," Alexandria said out loud dreamily.
Austin snorted. "Yeah, I miss my family. Only when those old birds give me a hard time and I have to take to get what I want," he said. Alexandria sent him a sharp look. What did he mean by that? She hoped he wasn't stealing. She knew that most orphans did it, but more than once, they were caught. Alexandria's head turned when Tyne addressed questions to her. "Hm? Well, it wouldn't matter to me. I want to live by a lake so I can swim when I want to. I want a forest as my backyard. No gates. I hate those things. And I want my family and friends to be close by. We won't be seperated," Alexandria's voice trailed off. In her family, as soon as someone was born they were sent off to live with the people who would raise them for the rest of their life. Parents and siblings were hardly seen except for special occasions. Austin suddenly stood. He seemed anxious to leave. "Listen, Jade. I got to go. I'll pay you back, okay?" he questioned. Before Alexandria could ask what was wrong, the blonde was running out of the inn. Alexandria rolled her eyes. "Idiot," she whispered before drinking her ginger ale. |
"Why did he leave so fast?" Tyne asked. "He didn't even finish his food," she says, completely mystified by the other boy's behavior. Austin had left a large portion of his sandwich on the table. He looked hungry and underfed, but he didn't finished. She turned, glancing back at the owner, wondering if he'd somehow scared the other off.
"I guess there's more food now," she says, stealing some more of the meat from the sandwich Austin left behind. |
Alexandria shrugged. "Austin comes and goes as he pleases. Most orphans do. There is no need to worry about that idiot," Alexandria answered. She stared as Tyne stole more meat from the sandwhich. Alexandria reached out and placed a hand on top of the other girl's. "Listen, Tyne. I know you don't know me. But I want you to promise me to eat more. A working girl needs all her nourishment and health. Promise me this and I'll make the promise to visit you everyday," Alexandria said.
She smiled. "Promise. You're very pretty. It would be ashame if your hair fell out because of health neglet," Alexandria cmmented. Alexandria was telling the truth. Tyne was very easy on the eyes. Although the princess suspected, most boys wouldn't say something like that to any girl. |
Tyne looked up, completely surprised by the hand on her own. It seemed like such an intimate touch compared to the ones she usually fended off from more sensitive places. She stared wide-eyed at Jade as a bright blush crept up her cheeks. "O-okay. I can...I can try," she stuttered.
She couldn't believe that he was touching her like that. He seemed like such a nice guy. He was worried about her health and promising to visit her. What if...what if this was her prince? She didn't want to get her hopes up, but it sure felt like destiny was at work or something. Maybe this meeting would change everything. "Hey! We're not paying you to sit around and flirt," The owner barked from the bar. "If you want to whore yourself out, do it on your own time." Tyne squeaked as she stiffened and quickly pulled her hand away from Jade. "I'm sorry," she called, fumbling to stand. "I'm not... I wasn't!" |
Alexandria smiled. "Good," she said. "and don't worry about pay. I will pay for your meals. I just need to speak with your...ahem...employer," Alexandria said. She wished she could take Tyne away from such a dead end job, but she couldn't risk having Tyne question how much money she said. The owner seemed like an abuser and a real bastard. He was the reason that Alexandria couldn't stand men.
Alexandria visibly finched in hatred when the owner made an example of the idioticy of certain men. Her head turn. Cold sharp green eyes penetrated the ugly face of the caretaker. Alexandria stood sharply. Cold fury rolled off her in waves. "Sir," she said icely, "if you ever use such vulgar language in front of this lady and myself ever again, I will according seee to it that you are punished accordingly. Understand?" The bar turned silent as they watched the interaction between owner and a young handsome man. All the sudden, two men in authority uniforms calmly walked in. Everyone's heads turned. Out of instinct, Alexandria pulled the cap tighter over her head. 'What's going on now,' Alexandria thought. She had to leave now or risk being recgonized. The two men had a quick glance around before whispering something to the manager. Alexandria knew she didn't like the way the owner's face twisted into malice. His finger pointed at her and Tyne. "Him! I saw him talking about the stolen jewels!" "What!" Alexandria shouted. But it didn't matter the men were on her in a matter of seconds. Alexandria could do nothing but curse the man as they grabbed her wrists and pinned her to the table. One looked through her bag and the one Austin left. Alexandria looked at Tyne quickly before averting her eyes. 'I bet Austin had something to do with this,' she thought with disgust. |
It all happened so fast. Jade saying that he'd take care of her. Then him telling off the manager. And in the silence that followed, the guards came in and pinned Jade to the table.
"No!" Tyne cried, before she really knew what she was saying. "It wasn't him. He didn't do anything." "Miss. We have all the evidence we need," the guard said, holding up the bag Austin left. Tyne shook her head. "No. It was under the table when he got here. I...I didn't do my job right. I didn't pick it up and give it to the owner when the last patron left it. I was afraid the owner would keep it, so I left it in case the other man came back." Tyne wrung her hands together and looked up at him with wide begging eyes. She didn't really know Jade well, but she was sure he hadn't stolen anything and she wanted to help. The owner sputtered indignantly, but the guard ignored him and studied Tyne. "You're not lying to protect him are you? Maybe you're an accomplice." "I've been here all day. Ask the owner's wife. I've been here since before dawn. And I only just met him. Why would I lie for him?" Tyne was trying not to shake as she stared up at the guard and lied to him. Hopefully, this would work or they'd both be in trouble. As it was, she was likely going to be fired for what she said about the owner. But at least she could save the one person who was nice to her. |
Alexandria's wrists were starting to hurt from the police men's treatment. When she see Austin again, she was going to kick him up and down the streets. She couldn't believe she was in this mess. Her heart was pounding against her ribs. If they went to jail, someone will notice that the princess was missing and the palace would be in an uproar. If she did get out without showing her identity, the palace would put a leash on her. She couldn't risk going to jail. But it didn't look up to be in her favor.
Alexandria looked up in shock as Tyne tried to help her. They had just met and the waiter was already trying to help her. They barely knew each other. And it seem to be working. Alexandria kept her eyes low so they officers wouldn't see her face. There were many occasions when the officers had to be around the palace and see the princess. After staring at Tyne, the guards privately conversed with each other. With a heavy sigh, the guard that had Alexandria's hands lifted her until she was standing. The other stood in front of her, studying her. Alexandria tried to keep her eyes low. Fine," he finally said, "Let him go." Alexandria sighed in relief. Apparently the one who held her hands didn't like this because he shoved Alexandria. She caught her footing just as the police tried to catch her. Her head jerked and her hat fell. Alexandria felt like her world stop as her long red hair cascaded down her shoulders. They fell in curls just reaching down her shoulders. As they fell down her shoulders, they framed around her soft face. It was apparent that the he that people thought was actually a she. Alexandria mentally cursed as all eyes were on her. "Y-you're a g-" Without much thinking, Alexandria shoved the police men down as she grabbed her bag. She held onto Tyne hand and sped out of the inn. She couldn't stay. Everything was blown. She cursed over and over. She turned down a random alley way breathing deeply. She finally let go of Tyne's hand. She cursed hitting a wall. Alexandria ran a hand through her now free hair. "I'm going to kill that boy," Alexandria sighed. |
(Ack. I'm so sorry. I meant to reply months ago and got distracted -_-)
Tyne was relieved when the guards believed her story and started to let Jade go. Of course, she wasn't out of trouble yet. She could see the owner glaring at her and she knew that once this was over she wouldn't have a job. She didn't even have time to worry about that as the man holding Jade pushed him. Then the hat came off and the hair came down and Tyne blinked. Why hadn't Jade just tied his hair back? The guard started to stutter and Jade grabbed her hand, dragging her out of the Inn and blindly into the street. Tyne almost tripped over her feet several times, but she managed to keep pace with Jade, even though it left her huffing and puffing. She was used to hard work, but not running and by the time Jade let her go, she needed to lean against the wall to catch her breath. Her head was spinning and she had no idea what was going on or what was happening next. It was like an adventure, but it was also very scary. She watched Jade hit the wall and curse and slowly it dawned on her why Jade hadn't tied his hair back. He wasn't a boy. He was a girl trying to hide that she was a girl. She'd heard of people like that before, but she'd never met one in person. She didn't even know if that was the situation. Jade, if that was really her name, could have a lot of reasons for dressing like a boy. She could be running away from home or maybe she was on an errand that required a boy. She wasn't sure if she should ask. Jade seemed pretty angry. |
