Darien lifts his hand to lower it down. As he does, the witches with arrowsthe bows lower their weapons. He looks at the girl with curiosity. "I've never seen you protect a human so passionately since Miriam. " the Witch glances at the chain around the werewolf's neck. "You are taking her to the other city then?"

Adrian nods. "She refuses to go back home. And the forest is too dangerous for her to stay."

"But you know she will not stay." Darien coninues to look at Christine. "Tell, me child. Why is it you stepped foot in the forest, despite the dangers?"

Unter Dem Eis 09-06-2009 06:05 AM

Smiling, the girl bowed her head in respects before answering. Something no human from the town would think of doing. Almost the same thoughtful gesture she had done with Adrain, looking him in the eyes when speaking. Her thoughts were tugging toward the name Darien had spoke. Who was Miriam? "I have a few reasons, two of which are that no matter what is in the forest, it still holds much beauty. Look around you. Sure there may be demons, wolves, anything but I do not see it's residents as some sort of flaw against such nature." She paused, her eyes shining with truth and her smile was bright. "Do you not think that everyone here contributes to the alluring taste of this place? Others may fear it, but have they not been taught to do so by their parents, and their parent's parents?" Christine's expression softened. "I know what happened centuries ago was cruel of the humans, and I can only find myself apologizing. I just see this forest as an amazing, beautiful place filled with fantasies... I can't get over who all I have seen." Her hand gently squeezed Adrian's, which was on her shoulder, in a kind way.

"Another, I am tired of the city I have come from. Being the governor's daughter isn't all that it may be claimed to. I have grown bored of seeing humans day in and day out act all the same, being held within those walls, having to watch executions..." She shook her head slowly. "And I know the city over will hold the same sadness for me. But what is there to do?" Christine asked. "I will only be drawn back to this place. I do again say sorry for what has happened in the past, but even speaking with my father, I have tried and there is no convincing him..." Her hand unconsciously, almost automatically brushed across her lower chin, where near the neck there was a scar. It was clear, that she really had spoken with him, and he really did not listen.

Amelyani 09-06-2009 06:59 AM

"You are a unique child." Darien moves closer to her. "Perhaps, since you are drawn to the forest, we will let you stay with us." He reaches out a hand. To cup her cheek.

Adrian lashes out at him. "No! She is going to the nearest town!"

"Adrien....really. We will not harm her. The forest calls her for a reason. We only wan to teach her how to survive. So that she may stay. And when or if she chooses to go back......maybe we will finally have an ally, to the town." Darien is not afraid of the werewolf's lash outs, but he seem cautios. "Besides, we can keep her safe on the full moons."

Adrian sighs, lossening his grip on the girl. "It's up to her.

Unter Dem Eis 09-06-2009 08:02 AM

Christine swallowed gently, looking up at Adrian with soft eyes. "I'd like to stay, but I'd also like to keep my word..." She appeared unsure. Not knowing what to say or do. The girl was in love with the forest and thought everything in it was of much interest to her. Cities of humans would bring her nothing but misery and loneliness, and she would force herself back to the forest if that had to be the case. Search for Adrian...

Her eyes went from the ground, deep in thought to looking back to who she thought was her friend. "Would it be all right... if I stayed? If things become bad, I promise to go to the city as you wish." Christine paused, "Unless you don't wish to see me again." Her head tilted to the side, looking up at him.

Amelyani 09-06-2009 11:11 PM

Does he not want to see here anymore? If he had it his way, she would stay with him. But he couldn't. Staying with him the cabin would not be safe for her. He turns away from her, his back to here. "City or the Witches village.....both are safe for you. Their magic will protect you." He closes his eyes. Safer from him. "Go with the Witches if you wish to stay in the forest. Keep up if you want to go to the city." He walks away.

If she stays with the Witches, Darien will walk up to her and look to thw erewolf. "We will watch over her. Protect her as if our own. You my word, Adrian." He then looks to the girl.

Unter Dem Eis 09-07-2009 12:34 AM

Watching Adrian walk away left Christine with a strange feeling in her gut. Her heart beat more slowly for several long moments, and the sound of his foot steps seemed louder then Darien's words which felt so far away, though he approached her. It didn't feel right, and every crunch of the forest, snapping dried pine beneath his feet so loud. Her attention focused just on him. Like in the dream, her voice seemed to be caught in her throat and she couldn't move. Her mind began to cloud, and this heavy feeling reminded her of the dream. "Adrian!" Christine's eyes widened. "This doesn't mean... that I won't see you again... does it?"

She pulled away from the witch. It was clear that she did not fear them, but looked more frightened then ever. That look in her eyes was truly horrified. She was shaking and moved forward to Adrian. Terrified to see him leave. "I just want to see you-" Had her timing been any different, as if almost deliberately, darkness poured out from the ground where she had stood just a second before. It could have ate her alive. Christine glanced behind her and saw Cylferth. He gave her a look of pardoning, as if to apologize for such a close call. Though Christine knew that was not his true feelings. Something inside of her told the girl differently. Feeling almost empty as her terror faded, but she remained a pale color, Christine moved toward Adrian, further from Cylferth who made no move toward her.

The naga turned, looking at the head witch with a curious gaze in his deep eyes. "What is this I have heard of you taking a human for your disciple? My my, I miss everything." He smiled, as if he planned to do nothing.

((Not having him take her for a few days, me thinks. Just having him stop by to mess with Christine.))

Amelyani 09-07-2009 03:34 AM

Adrian stops at her words, her voice echoing through his mind. He wants to see her again, but he knows that dangers of being around others. He *is* a monster. But he can't just leave her frightened like that. He sighs and turns around to see a the pool of darkness growing from behind her. Quickly Adrian grabs Christine, pulling her back behind him.

Darien glares at Cylferth, the other Witches raise their bows and unsheathe their weapons. Their leader's eyes glow with intense and dangerous magic. "Go back where you came from, Naga! This is no concern of yours!" He gestures to two of his warriors, who both move to either side of the Adrian and Christine. They have the Naga surrounded

Unter Dem Eis 09-07-2009 03:54 AM

Christine willingly allowed herself to be pulled over and behind Adrian. Shivering, her hands slid around one of his arms. "He's who was in my dream." She whispered, having not told Adrian about it. And the part about Adrian, she didn't want to ever have to tell him. her reason for being scared was a mix of losing Adrian and being reminded of her nightmare by the Naga's very presence. Christine kept close to Adrian, finding his warmth to be of comfort to her. Watching curiously as other witches filed around them to surround the man.

"Tut tut," Cylferth bore a look of surprise. "When they say the cat's curiosity is what killed him, they tell no lies." A slow smile appeared. "I meant no harm, honest." His chuckle almost stated differently. "And why is it not my concern?" Waiting for the answer, he looked back at Christine and smirked, looking deeply into her eyes. Planning. Once given his answer, he hissed lowly and looked at Darien. "Never the matter, my presence is not welcome. I shall merely have to check up on the girl another time." And he vanished, sliding back into darkness before any arrows or weapons could strike, knowing he posed as a threat to the human.

Tucking her cheek against his skin, Christine whispered quietly, "Please don't avoid me..." Her eyes closed for a long moment to think clearly. Especially, if something like this were to happen again. She thought, and opened her eyes to look up at him.

Amelyani 09-07-2009 05:39 AM

Adrian frowns when he hears that the naga was in her dream. He sighs, wanting so bad to grab her and run with her in his arms to somewhere safe. But even then, intwo days time he will be a danger to her. Adrian looks down at her, his mind racing with wand, needs and the fact of reality. He then turns to the naga, glaring at him, growling at him. He wants to tear the creature into peices of flesh.

"Because this is our territory, and you tresspassing, Naga." Darien is tense with action, but when the creature disappears, Darien relaxes some. He knows Nagas ware dangerous to human minds. He remembers being tricked by one long ago, at the time he was just a mortal man. "Child, are you alright?" He asks Christine.

"Go with them. I am still here in the forest. If you wish to see me, one of the witches can escort you to my cabin when it is safe. I promise, you will see me if you want to."

Unter Dem Eis 09-07-2009 06:31 AM

Her eyes were locked with the ground, watching with lifeless eyes where the Naga had stood. A pressure was in the back of her head, feeling Cylferth's presence yet still. She trembled slightly, looking at Adrian softly. Meeting that needy gaze with soft, curious eyes. Trying to focus on him. Darien snapped her from the pain and distraction with his sudden words. Turning to look at him, Christine nodded shortly. "Yes, thank you..." In spite of her fears against that naga, she would not become frightened of the entire forest. Not the same forest she was willing to be hurt to stand for.

A smile formed on her lips, the same one which seemed to constantly enchant Adrian. Looking up at the werewolf as he spoke, the smile remained intact but her eyes appeared to waver. "What do you mean by, when it is safe?"

Amelyani 09-07-2009 07:09 AM

He only gives her a soft, reassuring look, not answering her question. He doesn't want her to know. She knows he is a werewolf, but she not seen him on a full moon. Atleast to his knowledges. "Go with them. You will see me in a few days time alright."

Darien walks up to the two, watching and studying. He envies their bond, something doesn't come around often. He starts to wonder if Christine is the one to help Adrian take full control of his wolf. If she is, then he wants to teach her the art of the Forest personally. Then, he knows she will be able to protect herself from the obstacles that awake in her future.

Unter Dem Eis 09-07-2009 08:45 AM

Looking him in the eyes helped. That assuring look he gave to her. Christine did not know fully why she was so compelled to see Adrian, to want to be with him whenever she could. That look in his eyes almost told her that he was not lying. He would see her in a few days. Biting into her lip more gently then she had earlier, Christine nodded. Sure that he was speaking the truth. Waiting a few days was better then going without seeing him, ever. Slowly her hands dropped from him, stepping back and nodded. "Yes..."

Turning away from Adrian, thoughts of confusion filled her mind. Still not sure as to why these feelings of Adrian arose. Looking at Darien softly, the smile remained on her lips and the wavered look of misunderstanding slipped away. "I would be honored if you had me. Thank you."

Amelyani 09-08-2009 12:08 AM

[SIZE="1Adrian takes a step back as Christine turns to Darien. He needs to push her from his heart. He knows it won't work out well. It does not matter if she sees him differently, once the day comes that she sees him as the monster he is. He cringes slight at that thought, keeping his face hidden from Christine as he does.

Darien nods to Christine. "I will teach you how to live in the forest. And do not worry. Every new moon Adrien stays in our village." He guides the girl to the witch's home after she says her goodbyes to Adrien.

When the Witches and Christine start to walk off, Adrien runs deep into the forest, searching for the damn naga's scent.

Stepping forward, she gave a glance back at Adrian. For some reason she seems happy. Another thought on her busy mind. Her always busy mind. "You know, it isn't really good bye." Smiling, Christine gave him a casual wave because she was sure about seeing him again. Even if she had to pull some reckless stunt to do it. Even Adrian knew that. A grin was on her lips, and she turned to walk away with the witches. Eager to learn. Listening as Adrian ran, giving him a sideways glance again with a curious look, before meeting Darien's gaze. "What happens on the new moon?" she asked.

His scent was particularly strong on one area especially. Near the place Adrian had first defended her. But when Adrian arrived there, it seemed almost difficult to tell exactly where he was. The stagnant perfume of the darkness the serpent used to travel filled the air, enveloping the small open space between trees. Images were being forced into Adrian's mind, as Cylferth pushed from the darkness to trigger dark thoughts. The picture was showing the naga keeping Christine against a tree in a brutal way, and attacking. Ripping into her flesh slowly, starting with her arms and legs. ((Wasn't sure if you were sensitive to any kind of gore, so I held back. Just tell me if you are.))

Cylferth's voice began to sound from behind the werewolf, the scent suddenly growing stronger. Behind him. Just by a few inches behind Adrian. "Why is something the matter? Your thoughts seem to be throwing you into a plain of distraught." He smirked.

Amelyani 09-08-2009 06:22 AM

((I don't mind gore in writting.)) The rage for the snake builds even more. His fists clench at the image, his clawlike nails digging into his palm. Droplets of red fall from in between his finger. When he smells the naga's scent and hear his voice, Adrian whirls around, moving with lightning speed and brute strength, and moves his hand right to Cylferth's neck, meaning to cruch his esophogus. His eyes glow with such feral rage, he growls and roars at the creature, his insisors long and sharp. If his hand contacted with Cylfeth's neck, the naga is the tossed toward a tree.

Darien looks at her. "Werewolves are powered by the moon. The closer to a full moon, the greater their power, and feral insticts. So naturally, during a new moon, they are completely human. Adrian stay with us during that time because he would be defenseless." He leads her to a hallowed large tree. He gesture her to go infront of him. On the ground, inside the tree, are stairs that spiral down underground. Once she has reached the bottom, after what seem almost half and hour, they travel down a long corridor and out to a large chamber, holding and underground town.

Unter Dem Eis 09-08-2009 05:50 PM

Cylferth was thrown against his tree, taking a hand and rubbed it against his sore neck. Giving Adrian a look that appeared innocent and confused. Just what was with the naga? Slowly he pushed him from the tree, and that same twisted smirk contorting his face. His eyes narrowed. In a quick solid movement, Cylferth swept and knocked his tail beneath the were wolf's feet, knocking him to the ground and slammed his tail onto Adrian's midsection. "Oh please, please do tell me that broke something." The naga bent down, his head a ways above Adrian's. "I want to hear that." His hand reached down, pressing against the man's chest, in a crushing manner. Imagining reaching his hand between Adrian's ribs and ripping out his heart if he had one.

Taking one last look at the sky before stepping into the hallowed tree, Christine took notice of the moon. It was going to be full in no less then two days. She felt like something was wrong, but said nothing, stepping in with the witches. "Adrian, he's keeping me far from him because of that the night of the full moon?" She arched an eyebrow, glancing to Darien. She obviously did not understand how little control Adrian had. Listening to whatever the witch told her. Looking forward to seeing him when the moon was new. When he was human. Christine wondered what that would be like. Seeing him human. Would that draw she felt toward him be lost for that night, no surely it couldn't be... He still wasn't like those from the cities as far as she knew.

Amelyani 09-09-2009 07:23 PM

He grunts as he is knocked down and the naga's tail slams on his chest. The impact, broke a couple of ribs. He coughs as the wind was also knocked out of him. He tries to breath in, but when Cylferth presses down against his chest, he gasps small breaths. He sees the other lower down close to him an uses this as an opportunity to bite down on his jugular. Should he make some type of contact, he misses that main artery. but chomps down on the shoulder, he jaws locked.

Darien places a hand on her shoulder. "It takes a great deal of self control for a werewolf not to lose themselves during the three nights of the full moon. It extremely rare for one to be able to keep control on those nights. That is why he keeps himself far from you, and any other creature unable to defend themselves from him like that."

Unter Dem Eis 09-10-2009 06:36 AM

The naga let out an irritated hiss, not daring to pull away as Adrian clamped onto his skin. Eyes narrowing. "Are you only displeased because it was me hurting the girl?" He asked in mock greed. His hands working at Adrian's jaws, wincing as he tried to make the werewolf release. Pressing more images into his mind, hoping the shock of them would terrorize the man. This time, it was not Cylferth hurting the girl. It was Adrian.

His hands clenched and unclenched, and giving up for now Cylferth left Adrian with those thoughts and turned to darkness, vanishing from the area. His scent was too far to trace, probably on the far side of separate area belonging to the forest. Somewhat close to Christine's town.

Her eyes softened, looking at Darien and listening to his words. "You'll be teaching me how to defend myself right?" Her voice sounded even more excited, but held a tint of worry. Like she could not wait long to learn, dreading the full moons. "I just... can't help but think of how lonely that must be." Christine looked away and around the chamber room. "And the only ones they'd allow themselves to see, are ones who are capable enough of running away or killing them... Somehow I'd like to keep him company, even on those nights."

Amelyani 09-10-2009 05:40 PM

Try hard as he may, Cylferth's strength is not enough to pry the werewolf's jaws open. Not alone anyhow. When the naga sends those terrifying images, Adrian's hold loosens, just enough so that Cylferth can pull him off. By the time Adrian moves to attack him again, the naga is gone. "Christine......" He then let's out a loud and agonising howl. Birds and other animals flee the area. His cry was loud enough to be heard by everywhere in the forest, even by the village.

Adrian growls, thrashing out at trees, clawing them. He morphs into full wolf form and just runs. He runs through the forest, escaping from his pain. Escaping from his fears. He refuses to let himself hurt Christine. He continues to run until he just collaspes on the forest floor, breathing hard.

Darian pauses, as they hear a wolf's cry from the distance. Darian reconised the hoel. "Child, he will rip you to pieces on those nights. For his sake, not just yours, stay away from Adian on those nights." The Witch places a hand on her shoulder. "And yes, I will teach you how to defend yourself."

Unter Dem Eis 09-10-2009 10:17 PM

Christine nodded slightly, and swallowed hard as she heard his howl. Wondering if he was feeling pain. Was it Adrian? She did not know him as long as she would have needed to for her to recognize it. "I only hoped you could so I could see him." Her eyes met his, sadly. "But I understand. Thank you." A smile came to her lips. "You say that he becomes stronger around this time, but does that mean there is a stage of weakness before he is human too?"

"Hush puppy." The six year old said smiling, sitting next to Adrian. Leaning against him and looking at the patches of sky between the trees. Her hair was black and in tight ringlets, and her skin was mostly translucent. A small ghost who came from the same city as Christine, only she was a few hundred years older then the girl. Her eyes were dark but welcoming and rope burns encircled her neck, and both her wrists and ankles. One of the executed, she had been killed by the gallows.

Looking back at him, she began to pet his fur. She waited at least half of an hour to approach, to let him calm if at all. Her name was Elise and she tended to travel the forest and high mountains as she pleased, avoiding humans as much as she could.

Amelyani 09-16-2009 03:26 AM

The witch shifts to one side, closing his eyes. "Yes. He becomes more human with the waning of the moon." He doesn't like the idea of her seeking Adrian on the full moon nights, but he know, ones she she has mastered the way of the forest, he won't be able to stop her. Darian sensed a not only a great understanding of the forest, but also a great potential. He removes his hand from her shoulder. "But first, it's time to eat. Come. Tomorrow we will start your training."

Adrian almost starts to pull away from the girl, but he is too tired to move or even growl. He just lies there, letting her pet him as he whines a bit. He knew of Elise, and has met her a few times, but only in wolf form. He does not change back, not wanting to scare her, even if she is a ghost. He soon calms down.
