Velvet walked slowly through the forest. Morning mist was still dancing along the grass and scattered leaves. Her eyes watched the sky for a moment and then moving to the black wolf that trotted loyally by her side. Her hands stroked his back gently as they continued walking, enjoying the scenery, and the coolness of the morning.
"Asher, it's going to be a nice day," She said softly. The wolf just snorted and nudged her hand with his snout.

A few squirrels were rustling in the leaves, fighting over a small acorn. Velvet couldn't help but to giggle at them. Asher knew not the even bother to attack them without her order. Her long hair had been tied back in a messy ponytail and her gown drug along the ground. She was wearing soft, white leather boots that didn't quite reach her knees and a simple white and blue gown that was clean except for what was trailing over the ground.

A few birds chirped in the distance and she could finally hear the soft trickle of the nearby stream. It was always refreshing to clean up a bit in the coolness of the water. Plus, Asher enjoyed himself. He would chase the small fish that lived in the stream. Velvet always thought it was entertaining to watch him.
reaching the stream, she slipped off her boots and stepping only ankle deep into the water. Then she stood still, and took in the scenery and listened to the melodic rhythm of the flowing water.

He knelt carefully beside the stream, his hand extended to scoop some of the clear water up and bring it close to his mouth for a drink. He didn't bother to try to conceal himself from the woman and the wolf that came along with her. As long as they meant no harm was to done to the forest, him, or his kin... he didn't care. He brought another handful of water close to his mouth and drank. He seemed to be paying no attention to the pair as they approached and eventually played in the stream, but he had an eye on them. Even though they seemed harmless there was always the possibility of them turning quickly. But still, unlikely.

He returned to his own business, he grabbed up the spear he always wielded and took a seat on a nearby rock. Closing his eyes he just sat quietly listening to the sounds of nature around him. Aside from the two that remained at a distance from him at the stream everything was quiet and peaceful. A nice place to meditate.

(Sorry it sucks and it's short. Everyone and their damn brother deemed it necessary to come in and just talk loudly about every stupid thing they can think of. Gawd)

She smiled as she watched the one year old wolf chase the small fish up stream. She knew he meant no harm to them, he just liked to play.
"Asher, you crazy wolf." She laughed and splashed him with water as he approached her. She didn't seem to notice the man that was sitting close by. She was only concentrated on having a bit of fun.

Asher barked happily and nudged her hand with his nose. She was quiet again. Thoughts were racing through her head again... After standing still and remaining quiet for some time, Asher whined and nudged her hand again.
"Oh.. I'm sorry Asher.. I just have so much on my mind lately. I'm under too much pressure and my parents are expecting so much out of me. I'm just a bit distracted." She sighed and sat down on the bank, letting her feet dangle in the water. Asher loyally came and sat beside her. "I don't know what I will do.. or how I am going to even do it. I can not perform the task they ask of me, I've failed too many times.. and I greatly dislike the thought of having to kill a beautiful animal. Nature is beautiful to me, and I try to live off of it the best I can and not harm it." She sighed once again and shook her head, "And now look at me. I am having a conversation with you again." She giggled and kissed the wolf on his nose. "At least you can't tell anyone my secrets." She teased the wolf and in response, he licked her cheek.

Suddenly she caught sight of the man seated on the rock and immediately felt a bit embarrassed. She wondered how long he had been there. Awkwardly she stood and stepped a few feet closer to him. "Uuh...hello?" Her voice as soft, but she could still her the shyness in it.

His thoughts swirled in his head as he let himself loose connection with his body and gained more of a connection with the nature around him. This brought a smile to his face. He was happy when surrounded by life, especially if that life was nature. He could feel every lifeforce, every being within a few miles. He could feel the playful wolf and..the woman that now seemed to approach him. Her voice came forth, but by the time he was paying full attention to her it was too late, her question was asked and he didn't really hear any of it.

He opened an eye, one hand tightened on the spear he had and the other remained still in his lap. Slowly turning his head to get enough of an eye contact to talk he asked "hmm? Didn't catch that...care to repeat yourself?" He turned his head back to faceing forward and let one of his bare feet slide off the rock into the cool water.

"Uuh.." She smiled awkwardly and stroked Asher's back. "I just said hello. I didn't really know anyone came out here." She felt a bit embarrassed, wondering how long he hand actually been there. "Usually whenever I do wonder out here, no one else is around.."

She now was standing in the water, a few feet away from him. The water was cool against her skin and she could feel the little fish trying out her bare feet. It tickled a bit. Her long hair was already tangled due to her play with Asher and she had some water drops on her dress from being splashed with water as her wolf ran played in the water earlier.
