Talris cracked an eye from his spot sitting beneath a tree. "Well, that an interesting skill." He mumbled sleepily, smiling as he watched the girl dissolve into the water. "This little inn is just full of surprises." He closed his eyes again and drifted back into a light sleep, the small sparrow doing the same in his hair.

Anora played along with her tune, picking it up quickly as she heard more of it. After she had gotten the song down, the sound of other instruments began adding to the music. First a flute, then a Tambourine, then a pair of Kongo Drums. Anora also began to make the same singing-like noise.
As the song near it's conclusion the pace quickened along with my dance. With the last ringing note I struck a pose and held for a few seconds to let the music fade away before relaxing and grinning at the brown haired girl. I sat on a nearby chair. "The name's Kiseko, pleasure to dance to your music."
Anora sat back, smiling. She closed the cover, then spun on the bench. "Anora, and it was a pleasure to play for you." She relaxed against the piano. "Where did you learn to dance like that?"
"I traveled with a band of gypsies for a bit, they taught me many things before we parted ways. If you find yourself in need of company in your travels gypsies will take everyone in, much like this inn." I stretched, several joints popping along my arms and back, then removed my bells and placed them back in their pouch. "So what brings you to this part of the world? You smell of the northern areas..."
Blitz yawned and stretched as she and Tolkan walked back down to the bar and piano room. She held a case in her hand and walked over to a corner of the room. She undid the locks and pulled out a hand crafted oak wood violin and connected a shoulder pad, tightened the bow, and tuned her strings before beginning to play Fur Elise and watched with a smile as Tolkan sat beside her and wagged his tail.
I laid my head back and closed my eyes, ears alert to the music and tail swishing back in forth in pace of it. As the song ended I looked at it's player and smiled, "You play beautifully."
Blitz blushed and smiled, gently placing her violin in the case. "T-thank you." She said with a shy smile. Tolkan walked up to the new girl and sniffed her, his tail wagging happily at meeting someone new.
I leaned forward to pet the dog, one hand scratching it's eyes and one scratching it's chin. "Well aren't you a friendly one?" I smiled at the pup, "I'm Kiseko."
"I'm Blitz." She said with a smile. ."And this is my fierce protector Tolkan." Blitz said on a laugh as she saw Tolkan's eyes roll up in his head and his back leg start thumping the ground.
Anora's face hardened slightly at the mention of the North. "Yes, well, I am from the North. I'm a Valhallan." She then saw Blitz come down with the case and watched silently. Her face softened when she saw the violin, and she sat back and enojyed.
"Morning Blitz," Anora said from only a little ways away from Kiseko. "That was beautiful, by the way." |
'Whoops must've struck a nerve there' I thought as I gave her a slightly uneasy smile, "I'd offer up where I'm from but I can't really remember where I was born." I chuckled a bit, "It's the life of a stray I suppose."
Sy just stood back and listened to the music. Usually she'd be the first to dance, but the interactions of the Inn made her curious, and she enjoyed hearing voices talk
I offered Sy a smile and waved her over, "Why don't you come join us? I'm sure we can get some music going if you want to dance, but a good conversation is nice too, ne?"
"Thank you very much Anora." Blitz said with a smile. "And good morning. Would anyone like to hear anything inparticular? I never mind a good challenge." She said with a smile.
Anora smiled back. "How about the Moonlight Sonata?"
Blitz smiled and picked up her violin and began to play the song. "I love this piece Anora. It's one of my very favorites!"
Anora, thrilled, listened to the piece. She leaned back and closed her eyes, humming softly to the tune. About half way into the song, she opened here eyes, looked back at the piano she was leaning on, then spun around and joined her in a duet.
Blitz closed her eyes in bliss as she played and found her wings gliding her to stand beside the piano. She smiled shyly at Anora and continued to play.
Sy gave a little laugh, slipped out of her heels, and started to slowly dance across the hardwood floor. She let the music slide through her, her body swaying gently, rhythmically. "you two play beautifully."
Anora smiled back, closing her eyes as the music flowed from her finguretips. She glanced back at Sy. Watching her dance broadened Anora's smile. She knew, now, for certian, that this was her family. These people, strange as some may be, were all important to her now, and she felt she could trust them with anything.
Blitz smiled at Anoraand harmonized with the piano part, watching Sy dance and feeling like she had finally found a place to call home.
I stretched and relaxed on the couch. 'Family huh....too bad strays don't have families or places to call home.' A sad smile worked it way across my lips at my own thoughts as I watched the trio.
Sy flashed a smile "Dance with me Kiseko!" She laughed, holding out her hands.
